7. Surah Al-A’raf

7:1 Alif Laam Meem Saad.
1. Alif-Laaam-Meeem-Saaad
2. كِتَابٌ أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ فَلَا يَكُنْ فِي صَدْرِكَ حَرَجٌ مِنْهُ لِتُنْذِرَ بِهِ وَذِكْرَىٰ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Kitābun ‘Unzila ‘Ilayka Falā Yakun Fī Şadrika Ĥarajun Minhu Litundhira Bihi Wa Dhikrá Lilmu’uminīna
7:2 A Book revealed to you so (let) not be in your breast any uneasiness from it that you warn with it, and a reminder for the believers.
2. Kitaabun unzila ilaika falaa yakun fee sadrika harajum minhu litunzira bihee wa zikraa lilmu’mineen
3. اتَّبِعُوا مَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا مِنْ دُونِهِ أَوْلِيَاءَ ۗ قَلِيلًا مَا تَذَكَّرُونَ
Attabi`ū Mā ‘Unzila ‘Ilaykum Min Rabbikum Wa Lā Tattabi`ū Min Dūnihi ‘Awliyā’a Qalīlāan Mā Tadhakkarūna
7:3 Follow what has been revealed to you from your Lord, and (do) not follow from beside Him any allies. Little (is) what you remember.
3. Ittabi’oo maaa unzila ‘ilaikum mir Rabbikum wa laa tattabi’oo min dooniheee awliyaaa’a; qaleelam maa tazakkaroon
4. وَكَمْ مِنْ قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَاهَا فَجَاءَهَا بَأْسُنَا بَيَاتًا أَوْ هُمْ قَائِلُونَ
Wa Kam Min Qaryatin ‘Ahlaknāhā Fajā’ahā Ba’sunā Bayātāan ‘Aw Hum Qā’ilūna
7:4 And how many of a city We destroyed it, and came to it Our punishment (at) night or (while) they were sleeping at noon.
4. Wa kam min qaryatin ahlaknaahaa fajaaa’ahaa ba’sunaa bayaatan aw hum qaaa’iloon
5. فَمَا كَانَ دَعْوَاهُمْ إِذْ جَاءَهُمْ بَأْسُنَا إِلَّا أَنْ قَالُوا إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ
Famā Kāna Da`wāhum ‘Idh Jā’ahum Ba’sunā ‘Illā ‘An Qālū ‘Innā Kunnā Žālimīna
7:5 Then not was their plea when came to them Our punishment except that they said, “Indeed, we were wrongdoers.”
5. Famaa kaana da’waahum iz jaaa’ahum ba’sunaa illaaa an qaalooo innaa kunnaa zaalimeen
6. فَلَنَسْأَلَنَّ الَّذِينَ أُرْسِلَ إِلَيْهِمْ وَلَنَسْأَلَنَّ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
Falanas’alanna Al-Ladhīna ‘Ursila ‘Ilayhim Wa Lanas’alanna Al-Mursalīna
7:6 Then surely We will question those (to) whom were sent to them (Messengers), and surely We will question the Messengers.
6. Falanas ‘alannal lazeena ursila ilaihim wa lanas ‘alannal mursaleen
7. فَلَنَقُصَّنَّ عَلَيْهِمْ بِعِلْمٍ ۖ وَمَا كُنَّا غَائِبِينَ
Falanaquşşanna `Alayhim Bi`ilmin Wa Mā Kunnā Ghā’ibīna
7:7 Then surely We will narrate to them with knowledge, and not were We absent.
7. Falanaqussanna ‘alaihim bi’ilminw wa maa kunnaa ghaaa’ibeen
8. وَالْوَزْنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ الْحَقُّ ۚ فَمَنْ ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِينُهُ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ
Wa Al-Waznu Yawma’idhin Al-Ĥaqqu Faman Thaqulat Mawāzīnuhu Fa’ūlā’ika Humu Al-Mufliĥūna
7:8 And the weighing that day (will be) the truth. So whose – (will be) heavy his scales, then those [they] (will be) the successful ones.
8. Walwaznu Yawma’izinil haqq; faman saqulat mawaa zeenuhoo fa-ulaaa’ika humul muflihoon
9. وَمَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازِينُهُ فَأُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ خَسِرُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوا بِآيَاتِنَا يَظْلِمُونَ
Wa Man Khaffat Mawāzīnuhu Fa’ūlā’ika Al-Ladhīna Khasirū ‘Anfusahum Bimā Kānū Bi’āyātinā Yažlimūna
7:9 And (for) those (will be) light his scales, so those (will be) the ones who lost, themselves because they were to Our Verses (doing) injustice.
9. Wa man khaffat mawaazeenuhoo fa ulaaa’ikal lazeena khasirooo anfusahum bimaa kaanoo bi Aayaatinaa yazlimoon
10. وَلَقَدْ مَكَّنَّاكُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَجَعَلْنَا لَكُمْ فِيهَا مَعَايِشَ ۗ قَلِيلًا مَا تَشْكُرُونَ
Wa Laqad Makkannākum Fī Al-‘Arđi Wa Ja`alnā Lakum Fīhā Ma`āyisha Qalīlāan Mā Tashkurūna
7:10 And certainly We established you in the earth and We made for you in it livelihood. Little (is) what you (are) grateful.
10. Wa laqad makkannaakum fil ardi wa ja’alnaa lakum feehaa ma’aayish; qaleelam maa tashkuroon (section 1)
11. وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَاكُمْ ثُمَّ صَوَّرْنَاكُمْ ثُمَّ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ اسْجُدُوا لِآدَمَ فَسَجَدُوا إِلَّا إِبْلِيسَ لَمْ يَكُنْ مِنَ السَّاجِدِينَ
Wa Laqad Khalaqnākum Thumma Şawwarnākum Thumma Qulnā Lilmalā’ikati Asjudū Li’dama Fasajadū ‘Illā ‘Iblīsa Lam Yakun Mina As-Sājidīna
7:11 And certainly We created you then We fashioned you. Then We said to the Angels, “Prostrate to Adam,” So they prostrated, except Iblees. Not he was of those who prostrated.
11. Wa laqad khalaqnaakum summa sawwarnaakum summa qulnaa lilmalaaa’ikatis judoo li Aadama fa-sajadooo illaaa Ibleesa lam yakum minas saajideen
12. قَالَ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَلَّا تَسْجُدَ إِذْ أَمَرْتُكَ ۖ قَالَ أَنَا خَيْرٌ مِنْهُ خَلَقْتَنِي مِنْ نَارٍ وَخَلَقْتَهُ مِنْ طِينٍ
Qāla Mā Mana`aka ‘Allā Tasjuda ‘Idh ‘Amartuka Qāla ‘Anā Khayrun Minhu Khalaqtanī Min Nārin Wa Khalaqtahu Min Ţīnin
7:12 (Allah) said, “What prevented you that not you prostrate when I commanded you?” (Shaitaan) said, “I am better than him. You created me from fire and You created him from clay.“
12. Qaala maa mana’aka allaa tasjuda iz amartuka qaala ana khairum minhu khalaqtanee min naarinw wa khalaqtahoo min teen
13. قَالَ فَاهْبِطْ مِنْهَا فَمَا يَكُونُ لَكَ أَنْ تَتَكَبَّرَ فِيهَا فَاخْرُجْ إِنَّكَ مِنَ الصَّاغِرِينَ
Qāla Fāhbiţ Minhā Famā Yakūnu Laka ‘An Tatakabbara Fīhā Fākhruj ‘Innaka Mina Aş-Şāghirīna
7:13 (Allah) said, “Then go down from it, for not it is for you that you be arrogant in it. So get out; indeed, you (are) of the disgraced ones.”
13. Qaala fahbit minhaa famaa yakoonu laka an tatakabbara feehaa fakhruj innaka minas saaghireen
14. قَالَ أَنْظِرْنِي إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ
Qāla ‘Anžirnī ‘Ilá Yawmi Yub`athūna
7:14 (Shaitaan) said, “Give me respite till (the) Day they are raised up.“
14. Qaala anzirneee ilaa Yawmi yub’asoon
15. قَالَ إِنَّكَ مِنَ الْمُنْظَرِينَ
Qāla ‘Innaka Mina Al-Munžarīna
7:15 (Allah) said, “Indeed, you (are) of the ones given respite.“
15. Qaala innaka minal munzareen
16. قَالَ فَبِمَا أَغْوَيْتَنِي لَأَقْعُدَنَّ لَهُمْ صِرَاطَكَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ
Qāla Fabimā ‘Aghwaytanī La’aq`udanna Lahum Şirāţaka Al-Mustaqīma
7:16 (Shaitaan) said, “Because You have sent me astray, surely I will sit for them (on) your path straight.
16. Qaala fabimaaa aghway tanee la aq’udanna lahum Siraatakal Mustaqeem
17. ثُمَّ لَآتِيَنَّهُمْ مِنْ بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ وَعَنْ أَيْمَانِهِمْ وَعَنْ شَمَائِلِهِمْ ۖ وَلَا تَجِدُ أَكْثَرَهُمْ شَاكِرِينَ
Thumma La’ātiyannahum Min Bayni ‘Aydīhim Wa Min Khalfihim Wa `An ‘Aymānihim Wa `An Shamā’ilihim Wa Lā Tajidu ‘Aktharahum Shākirīna
7:17 Then surely, I will come to them from between (their) hands and from behind them and from their right and from their left, and not you will find most of them grateful.”
17. Summa la aatiyannahum mim baini aideehim wa min khalfihim wa ‘an aimaanihim wa ‘an shamaaa’ilihim wa laa tajidu aksarahum shaakireen
18. قَالَ اخْرُجْ مِنْهَا مَذْءُومًا مَدْحُورًا ۖ لَمَنْ تَبِعَكَ مِنْهُمْ لَأَمْلَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنْكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
Qāla Akhruj Minhā Madh’ūmāan Madĥūrāan Laman Tabi`aka Minhum La’amla’anna Jahannama Minkum ‘Ajma`īna
7:18 (Allah) said, “Get out of it disgraced and expelled. Certainly, whoever follows you among them, surely, I will fill Hell with you all.
18. Qaalakhruj minhaa maz’oomam madhooraa; laman tabi’aka minhum la amla’anna Jahannama minkum ajma’een
19. وَيَا آدَمُ اسْكُنْ أَنْتَ وَزَوْجُكَ الْجَنَّةَ فَكُلَا مِنْ حَيْثُ شِئْتُمَا وَلَا تَقْرَبَا هَٰذِهِ الشَّجَرَةَ فَتَكُونَا مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ
Wa Yā’ādamu Askun ‘Anta Wa Zawjuka Al-Jannata Fakulā Min Ĥaythu Shi’tumā Wa Lā Taqrabā Hadhihi Ash-Shajarata Fatakūnā Mina Až-Žālimīna
7:19 And O Adam! Dwell, you and your wife, (in) the Garden, and you both eat from wherever you both wish, but (do) not approach [both of you] this [the] tree lest you both be among the wrongdoers.“
19. Wa yaaa Aadamus kun anta wa zawjukal Jannata fakulaa min haisu shi’tumaa wa laa taqrabaa haazihish shajarata fatakoonaa minaz zaalimeen
20. فَوَسْوَسَ لَهُمَا الشَّيْطَانُ لِيُبْدِيَ لَهُمَا مَا وُورِيَ عَنْهُمَا مِنْ سَوْآتِهِمَا وَقَالَ مَا نَهَاكُمَا رَبُّكُمَا عَنْ هَٰذِهِ الشَّجَرَةِ إِلَّا أَنْ تَكُونَا مَلَكَيْنِ أَوْ تَكُونَا مِنَ الْخَالِدِينَ
Fawaswasa Lahumā Ash-Shayţānu Liyubdiya Lahumā Mā Wūriya `Anhumā Min Saw’ātihimā Wa Qāla Mā Nahākumā Rabbukumā `An Hadhihi Ash-Shajarati ‘Illā ‘An Takūnā Malakayni ‘Aw Takūnā Mina Al-Khālidīna
7:20 Then whispered to both of them the Shaitaan to make apparent to both of them what was concealed from both of them of their shame. And he said, “(Did) not forbid you both your Lord from this [the] tree except that you two become Angels or you two become of the immortals.”
20. Fawaswasa lahumash Shaitaanu liyubdiya lahumaa maa wooriya ‘anhumaa min saw aatihimaa wa qaala maa nahaakumaa Rabbukumaa ‘an haazihish shajarati illaaa an takoonaa malakaini aw takoonaa minal khaalideen
21. وَقَاسَمَهُمَا إِنِّي لَكُمَا لَمِنَ النَّاصِحِينَ
Wa Qāsamahumā  ‘Innī Lakumā Lamina An-Nāşiĥīna

7:21 And he swore (to) both of them, “Indeed, I am to both of you among the sincere advisors.”
21. Wa qaasamahumaaa innee lakumaa laminan naasiheen
22. فَدَلَّاهُمَا بِغُرُورٍ ۚ فَلَمَّا ذَاقَا الشَّجَرَةَ بَدَتْ لَهُمَا سَوْآتُهُمَا وَطَفِقَا يَخْصِفَانِ عَلَيْهِمَا مِنْ وَرَقِ الْجَنَّةِ ۖ وَنَادَاهُمَا رَبُّهُمَا أَلَمْ أَنْهَكُمَا عَنْ تِلْكُمَا الشَّجَرَةِ وَأَقُلْ لَكُمَا إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَكُمَا عَدُوٌّ مُبِينٌ
Fadallāhumā Bighurūrin Falammā Dhāqā Ash-Shajarata Badat Lahumā Saw’ātuhumā Wa Ţafiqā Yakhşifāni `Alayhimā Min Waraqi Al-Jannati Wa Nādāhumā Rabbuhumā ‘Alam ‘Anhakumā `An Tilkumā Ash-Shajarati Wa ‘Aqul Lakumā ‘Inna Ash-Shayţāna Lakumā `Adūwun Mubīnun
7:22 So he made both of them fall by deception. Then when they both tasted the tree, became apparent to both of them their shame, and they began (to) fasten over themselves from (the) leaves (of) the Garden. And called them both their Lord, “Did not I forbid you both from this [the] tree and [I] say to both of you, that [the] Shaitaan (is) to both of you an enemy open?”
22. Fadallaahumaa bighuroor; falammaa zaaqash shajarata badat lahumaa saw aatuhumaa wa tafiqaa yakhsifaani ‘alaihimaa minw waraqil jannati wa naadaahumaa Rabbuhumaaa alam anhakumaa ‘an tilkumash shajarati wa aqul lakumaaa innash Shaitaana lakumaa ‘aduwwum mubeen
23. قَالَا رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنْفُسَنَا وَإِنْ لَمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ
Qālā Rabbanā Žalamnā ‘Anfusanā Wa ‘In Lam Taghfir Lanā Wa Tarĥamnā Lanakūnanna Mina Al-Khāsirīna
7:23 Both of them said, “Our Lord we have wronged ourselves, and if not You forgive [for] us and have mercy (on) us, surely, we will be among the losers.“
23. Qaalaa Rabbanaa zalamnaaa anfusanaa wa illam taghfir lanaa wa tarhamnaa lanakoonanna minal khaasireen
24. قَالَ اهْبِطُوا بَعْضُكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ عَدُوٌّ ۖ وَلَكُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ مُسْتَقَرٌّ وَمَتَاعٌ إِلَىٰ حِينٍ
Qāla Ahbiţū Ba`đukum Liba`đin `Adūwun Wa Lakum Fī Al-‘Arđi Mustaqarrun Wa Matā`un ‘Ilá Ĥīnin
7:24 (Allah) said, “Get down some of you to some others (as) enemy. And for you in the earth (is) a dwelling place and livelihood for a time.“
24. Qaalah bitoo ba’dukum liba’din aduwwunw wa lakum fil ardi mustaqarrunw wa mataa’un ilaaheen
25. قَالَ فِيهَا تَحْيَوْنَ وَفِيهَا تَمُوتُونَ وَمِنْهَا تُخْرَجُونَ
Qāla Fīhā Taĥyawna Wa Fīhā Tamūtūna Wa Minhā Tukhrajūna
7:25 He said, “In it you will live and in it you will die and from it you will be brought forth.”
25. Qaala feehaa tahyawna wa feehaa tamootoona wa minhaa tukhrajoon (section 2)
26. يَا بَنِي آدَمَ قَدْ أَنْزَلْنَا عَلَيْكُمْ لِبَاسًا يُوَارِي سَوْآتِكُمْ وَرِيشًا ۖ وَلِبَاسُ التَّقْوَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَذَّكَّرُونَ
Yā Banī ‘Ādama Qad ‘Anzalnā `Alaykum Libāsāan Yuwārī Saw”ātikum Wa Rīshāan Wa Libāsu At-Taqwá Dhālika Khayrun Dhālika Min ‘Āyā Ti Al-Lahi La`allahum Yadhdhakkarūna
7:26 O Children (of) Adam! Verily We have sent down to you clothing, it covers your shame and (as) an adornment. But the clothing (of) [the] righteousness – that (is) best. That (is) from (the) Signs (of) Allah so that they may remember.
26. Yaa Baneee Aadama qad anzalnaa ‘alaikum libaasany yuwaaree saw aatikum wa reeshanw wa libaasut taqwaa zaalika khair; zaalika min Aayaatil laahi la’allahum yaz zakkaroon
27. يَا بَنِي آدَمَ لَا يَفْتِنَنَّكُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ كَمَا أَخْرَجَ أَبَوَيْكُمْ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ يَنْزِعُ عَنْهُمَا لِبَاسَهُمَا لِيُرِيَهُمَا سَوْآتِهِمَا ۗ إِنَّهُ يَرَاكُمْ هُوَ وَقَبِيلُهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا تَرَوْنَهُمْ ۗ إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا الشَّيَاطِينَ أَوْلِيَاءَ لِلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
Yā Banī ‘Ādama Lā Yaftinannakumu Ash-Shayţānu Kamā ‘Akhraja ‘Abawaykum Mina Al-Jannati Yanzi`u `Anhumā Libāsahumā Liyuriyahumā Saw”ātihimā ‘Innahu Yarākum Huwa Wa Qabīluhu Min Ĥaythu Lā Tarawnahum ‘Innā Ja`alnā Ash-Shayā Ţīna ‘Awliyā ‘A Lilladhīna Lā Yu’uminūna
7:27 O Children (of) Adam! (Let) not tempt you [the] Shaitaan as he drove out your parents from Paradise, stripping from both of them their clothing to show both of them their shame. Indeed, he sees you – he and his tribe from where not you see them. Indeed, We have made the devils friends of those who (do) not believe.
27. Yaa Banee Aadama laa yaftinannnakumush Shaitaanu kamaaa akhraja abawaikum minal Jannati yanzi’u ‘anhumaa libaasahumaa liyuriyahumaa saw aatihimaaa; innahoo yaraakum huwa wa qabeeluhoo min haisu laa tarawnahum; innaa ja’alnash Shayaateena awliyaaa’a lillazeena laa yu’minoon
28. وَإِذَا فَعَلُوا فَاحِشَةً قَالُوا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهَا آبَاءَنَا وَاللَّهُ أَمَرَنَا بِهَا ۗ قُلْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَأْمُرُ بِالْفَحْشَاءِ ۖ أَتَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
Wa ‘Idhā Fa`alū Fāĥishatan Qālū Wajadnā `Alayhā ‘Ābā’anā Wa Allāhu ‘Amaranā Bihā Qul ‘Inna Al-Laha Lā Ya’muru Bil-Faĥshā’i ‘Ataqūlūna `Alá Al-Lahi Mā Lā Ta`lamūna
7:28 And when they do immorality they say, “We found on it our forefathers and Allah (has) ordered us of it.“ Say, “Indeed, Allah (does) not order immorality. Do you say about Allah what not (do) you know?”
28. Wa izaa fa’aloo faahishatan qaaloo wajadnaa ‘alaihaaa aabaaa’ana wallaahu amaranaa bihaa; qul innal laaha laa ya’muru bilfahshaaa’i a-taqooloona ‘alal laahi maa laa ta’lamoon
29. قُلْ أَمَرَ رَبِّي بِالْقِسْطِ ۖ وَأَقِيمُوا وُجُوهَكُمْ عِنْدَ كُلِّ مَسْجِدٍ وَادْعُوهُ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ ۚ كَمَا بَدَأَكُمْ تَعُودُونَ
Qul ‘Amara Rabbī Bil-Qisţi Wa ‘Aqīmū Wujūhakum `Inda Kulli Masjidin Wa Ad`ūhu Mukhlişīna Lahu Ad-Dīna Kamā Bada’akum Ta`ūdūna
7:29 Say, “Has ordered my Lord justice and set your faces at every masjid and invoke Him (being) sincere to Him (in) the religion. As He originated you (so) will you return.”
29. Qul amara Rabbee bilqisti wa aqeemoo wujoohakum ‘inda kulli masjidin wad’oohu mukhliseena lahud deen; kamaa bada akum ta’oodoon
30. فَرِيقًا هَدَىٰ وَفَرِيقًا حَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الضَّلَالَةُ ۗ إِنَّهُمُ اتَّخَذُوا الشَّيَاطِينَ أَوْلِيَاءَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُمْ مُهْتَدُونَ
Farīqāan Hadá Wa Farīqāan Ĥaqqa `Alayhimu Ađ-Đalālatu ‘Innahumu Attakhadhū Ash-Shayāţīna ‘Awliyā’a Min Dūni Al-Lahi Wa Yaĥsabūna ‘Annahum Muhtadūna
7:30 A group He guided and a group deserved – [on] they the astraying. Indeed, they take the devils (as) allies from besides Allah while they think that they (are the) guided-ones.
30. Fareeqan hadaa wa fareeqan haqqa ‘alaihimud dalaalah; innahumut takhazush Shayaateena awliyaaa’a min doonil laahi wa yahsaboona annahum muhtadoon
31. يَا بَنِي آدَمَ خُذُوا زِينَتَكُمْ عِنْدَ كُلِّ مَسْجِدٍ وَكُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا وَلَا تُسْرِفُوا ۚ إِنَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُسْرِفِينَ
Yā Banī ‘Ādama Khudhū Zīnatakum `Inda Kulli Masjidin Wa Kulū Wa Ashrabū Wa Lā Tusrifū ‘Innahu Lā Yuĥibbu Al-Musrifīna
7:31 O Children (of) Adam! Take your adornment at every masjid, and eat and drink but (do) not be extravagant. Indeed, He (does) not love the extravagant ones.
31. Yaa Banneee Adama khuzoo zeenatakum ‘inda kulli masjidinw wa kuloo washraboo wa laa tusrifoo; innahoo laa yuhibbul musrifeen (section 3)
32. قُلْ مَنْ حَرَّمَ زِينَةَ اللَّهِ الَّتِي أَخْرَجَ لِعِبَادِهِ وَالطَّيِّبَاتِ مِنَ الرِّزْقِ ۚ قُلْ هِيَ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا خَالِصَةً يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ۗ كَذَٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ الْآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ
Qul Man Ĥarrama Zīnata Al-Lahi Allatī ‘Akhraja Li`ibādihi Wa Aţ-Ţayyibāti Mina Ar-Rizqi Qul Hiya Lilladhīna ‘Āmanū Fī Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Khālişatan Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Kadhālika Nufaşşilu Al-‘Āyāti Liqawmin Ya`lamūna
7:32 Say, “Who has forbidden (the) adornment (from) Allah which He has brought forth for His slaves, and the pure things of sustenance?” Say, “They (are) for those who believe during the life (of) the world, exclusively (for them) (on the) Day (of) Resurrection. Thus We explain the Signs for (the) people who know.“
32. Qul man harrama zeenat Allahil lateee akhraja li’ibaadihee wattaiyibaati minar rizq; qul hiya lillazeena aamanoo fil hayaatid dunyaa khaalisatany Yawmal Qiyaamah; kazaalika nufassilul Aayaati li qawminy ya’lamoon
33. قُلْ إِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ رَبِّيَ الْفَوَاحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ وَالْإِثْمَ وَالْبَغْيَ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَأَنْ تُشْرِكُوا بِاللَّهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهِ سُلْطَانًا وَأَنْ تَقُولُوا عَلَى اللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
Qul ‘Innamā Ĥarrama Rabbiya Al-Fawāĥisha Mā Žahara Minhā Wa Mā Baţana Wa Al-‘Ithma Wa Al-Baghya Bighayri Al-Ĥaqqi Wa ‘An Tushrikū Bil-Lahi Mā Lam Yunazzil Bihi Sulţānāan Wa ‘An Taqūlū `Alá Al-Lahi Mā Lā Ta`lamūna
7:33 Say, “Only (had) forbidden my Lord the shameful deeds what (is) apparent of it and what is concealed, and the sin, and the oppression without [the] right, and that you associate (others) with Allah what not He (has) sent down of it any authority, and that you say about Allah what not (do) you know?”
33. Qul innamaa harrama Rabbiyal fawaahisha maa zahara minhaa wa maa batana wal isma walbaghya bighairil haqqi wa an tushrikoo billaahi maa lam yunazzil bihee sultaananw wa an taqooloo ‘alal laahi maa laa ta’lamoon
34. وَلِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلٌ ۖ فَإِذَا جَاءَ أَجَلُهُمْ لَا يَسْتَأْخِرُونَ سَاعَةً ۖ وَلَا يَسْتَقْدِمُونَ
Wa Likulli ‘Ummatin ‘Ajalun Fa’idhā Jā’a ‘Ajaluhum Lā Yasta’khirūna Sā`atan Wa Lā Yastaqdimūna
7:34 And for every nation (is a fixed) term. So when comes their term, (they can) not seek to delay an hour, and not seek to advance (it).
34. Wa likulli ummatin ajalun fa izaa jaaa’a ajaluhum laa yasta’ khiroona saa’atanw wa laa yastaqdimoon
35. يَا بَنِي آدَمَ إِمَّا يَأْتِيَنَّكُمْ رُسُلٌ مِنْكُمْ يَقُصُّونَ عَلَيْكُمْ آيَاتِي ۙ فَمَنِ اتَّقَىٰ وَأَصْلَحَ فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ
Yā Banī ‘Ādama ‘Immā Ya’tiyannakum Rusulun Minkum Yaquşşūna `Alaykum ‘Āyā Tī Famani Attaqá Wa ‘Aşlaĥa Falā Khawfun `Alayhim Wa Lā Hum Yaĥzanūna
7:35 O Children (of) Adam! If come to you Messengers from you relating to you My Verses, then whoever fears Allah, and reforms, then no fear on them and not they will grieve.
35. Yaa Banee Aadama immaa ya’tiyannakum Rusulum minkum yaqussoona ‘alaikum Aayaatee famanit taqaa wa aslaha falaa khawfun ‘alaihim wa laa hum yahzanoon
36. وَالَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا وَاسْتَكْبَرُوا عَنْهَا أُولَٰئِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ
Wa Al-Ladhīna Kadhdhabū Bi’āyātinā Wa Astakbarū `Anhā ‘Ūlā’ika ‘Aşĥābu An-Nāri Hum Fīhā Khālidūna
7:36 But those who deny Our Verses and (are) arrogant towards them those (are the) companions (of) the Fire, they in it will abide forever.
36. Wallazeena kazzaboo bi Aayaatinaa wastakbaroo ‘an haaa ulaaa’ika Ashaabun naari hum feehaa khaalidoon
37. فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَىٰ عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ كَذَّبَ بِآيَاتِهِ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ يَنَالُهُمْ نَصِيبُهُمْ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ ۖ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُنَا يَتَوَفَّوْنَهُمْ قَالُوا أَيْنَ مَا كُنْتُمْ تَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ ۖ قَالُوا ضَلُّوا عَنَّا وَشَهِدُوا عَلَىٰ أَنْفُسِهِمْ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا كَافِرِينَ
Faman ‘Ažlamu Mimmani Aftará `Alá Al-Lahi Kadhibāan ‘Aw Kadhdhaba Bi’āyātihi ‘Ūlā’ika Yanāluhum Naşībuhum Mina Al-Kitābi Ĥattá ‘Idhā Jā’at/hum Rusulunā Yatawaffawnahum Qālū ‘Ayna Mā Kuntum Tad`ūna Min Dūni Al-Lahi Qālū Đallū `Annā Wa Shahidū `Alá ‘Anfusihim ‘Annahum Kānū Kāfirīna
7:37 Then who (is) more unjust than (one) who invented against Allah a lie or denies His Verses? Those – will reach them their portion from the Book, until when comes to them Our messengers (Angels) (to) take them in death they say, “Where are those (whom) you used to invoke from besides Allah?” They say, “They strayed from us,” and they (will) testify against themselves that they were disbelievers.
37. Faman azlamu mimmanif taraa ‘alal laahi kaziban aw kazzaba bi Aayaatih; ulaaa’ika yanaaluhum naseebuhum minal Kitaab; hatta izaa jaaa’at hum rusulunaa yatawaf fawnahum qaalooo aina maa kuntum tad’oonaa min doonil laahi qaaloo dalloo ‘annaa wa shahidoo ‘alaaa anfusihim annahum kaanoo kaafireen
38. قَالَ ادْخُلُوا فِي أُمَمٍ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنْسِ فِي النَّارِ ۖ كُلَّمَا دَخَلَتْ أُمَّةٌ لَعَنَتْ أُخْتَهَا ۖ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا ادَّارَكُوا فِيهَا جَمِيعًا قَالَتْ أُخْرَاهُمْ لِأُولَاهُمْ رَبَّنَا هَٰؤُلَاءِ أَضَلُّونَا فَآتِهِمْ عَذَابًا ضِعْفًا مِنَ النَّارِ ۖ قَالَ لِكُلٍّ ضِعْفٌ وَلَٰكِنْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
Qāla Adkhulū Fī ‘Umamin Qad Khalat Min Qablikum Mina Al-Jinni Wa Al-‘Insi Fī An-Nāri Kullamā Dakhalat ‘Ummatun La`anat ‘Ukhtahā Ĥattá ‘Idhā Addārakū Fīhā Jamī`āan Qālat ‘Ukhrāhum Li’wlāhum Rabbanā Hā’uulā’ ‘Ađallūnā Fa’ātihim `Adhābāan Đi`fāan Mina An-Nāri Qāla Likullin Đi`fun Wa Lakin Lā Ta`lamūna
7:38 He (will) say, “Enter among (the) nations (who) passed away from before you of the jinn and the men in the Fire.“ Every time entered a nation it cursed its sister (nation) until when they had overtaken one another in it all, (will) say (the) last of them about the first of them, “Our Lord, these misled us so give them punishment double of the Fire.” He (will) say, “For each (is) a double [and] but not you know.“
38. Qaalad khuloo feee umamin qad khalat min qablikum minal jinni wal insi fin naari kullamaa dakhalat ummatul la’anat ukhtahaa hattaaa izad daarakoo feehaa jamee’an qaalat ukhraahum li oolaahum Rabbannaa haaa u’laaa’i adalloonaa fa aatihim ‘azaaban di’fam minan naari qaala likullin di’funw wa laakil laa ta’lamoon
39. وَقَالَتْ أُولَاهُمْ لِأُخْرَاهُمْ فَمَا كَانَ لَكُمْ عَلَيْنَا مِنْ فَضْلٍ فَذُوقُوا الْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْسِبُونَ
Wa Qālat ‘Ūlāhum Li’khrāhum Famā Kāna Lakum `Alaynā Min Fađlin Fadhūqū Al-`Adhāba Bimā Kuntum Taksibūna
7:39 And (will) say (the) first of them to (the) last of them, “Then not is for you upon us any superiority, so taste the punishment for what you used to earn.”
39. Wa qaalat oolaahum li ukhraahum famaa kaana lakum ‘alainaa min fadlin fazooqul azaaba bimaa kuntum taksiboon (section 4)
40. إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا وَاسْتَكْبَرُوا عَنْهَا لَا تُفَتَّحُ لَهُمْ أَبْوَابُ السَّمَاءِ وَلَا يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ حَتَّىٰ يَلِجَ الْجَمَلُ فِي سَمِّ الْخِيَاطِ ۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُجْرِمِينَ
‘Inna Al-Ladhīna Kadhdhabū Bi’āyātinā Wa Astakbarū `Anhā Lā Tufattaĥu Lahum ‘Abwābu As-Samā’i Wa Lā Yadkhulūna Al-Jannata Ĥattá Yalija Al-Jamalu Fī Sammi Al-Khiyāţi Wa Kadhalika Najzī Al-Mujrimīna
7:40 Indeed, those who denied Our Verses and (were) arrogant towards them, (will) not be opened for them (the) doors (of) the heaven, and not they will enter Paradise until passes the camel through (the) eye (of) the needle. And thus We recompense the criminals.
40. Innal lazeena kazzaboo bi Aayaatinaa wastakbaroo ‘anhaa laa tufattahu lahum abwaabus samaaa’i wa laa yadkhuloonal jannata hattaa yalijal jamalu fee sammil khiyaat; wa kazaalika najzil mujrimeen
41. لَهُمْ مِنْ جَهَنَّمَ مِهَادٌ وَمِنْ فَوْقِهِمْ غَوَاشٍ ۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الظَّالِمِينَ
Lahum Min Jahannama Mihādun Wa Min Fawqihim Ghawāshin Wa Kadhalika Najzī Až-Žālimīna
7:41 For them of (the) Hell (is) a bed and from over them coverings. And thus We recompense the wrongdoers.
41. Lahum min jahannama mihaadunw wa min fawqihim ghawaash; wa kazaalika najziz zaalimeen
42. وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا أُولَٰئِكَ أَصْحَابُ الْجَنَّةِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ
Wa Al-Ladhīna ‘Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Lā Nukallifu Nafsāan ‘Illā Wus`ahā ‘Ūlā’ika ‘Aşĥābu Al-Jannati Hum Fīhā Khālidūna
7:42 But those who believe and do [the] righteous deeds not We burden any soul except (to) its capacity. Those (are the) companions (of) Paradise, they in it (will) abide forever.
42. Wallazeena aamanoo wa ‘amilus saalihaati laa nukallifu nafsan illaa wus’ahaaa ulaaa’ika Ashaabul jannati hum feehaa khaalidoon
43. وَنَزَعْنَا مَا فِي صُدُورِهِمْ مِنْ غِلٍّ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهِمُ الْأَنْهَارُ ۖ وَقَالُوا الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي هَدَانَا لِهَٰذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لِنَهْتَدِيَ لَوْلَا أَنْ هَدَانَا اللَّهُ ۖ لَقَدْ جَاءَتْ رُسُلُ رَبِّنَا بِالْحَقِّ ۖ وَنُودُوا أَنْ تِلْكُمُ الْجَنَّةُ أُورِثْتُمُوهَا بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
Wa Naza`nā Mā Fī Şudūrihim Min Ghillin Tajrī Min Taĥtihimu Al-‘Anhāru Wa Qālū Al-Ĥamdu Lillahi Al-Ladhī Hadānā Lihadhā Wa Mā Kunnā Linahtadiya Lawlā ‘An Hadānā Al-Lahu Laqad Jā’at Rusulu Rabbinā Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa Nūdū ‘An Tilkumu Al-Jannatu ‘Ūrithtumūhā Bimā Kuntum Ta`malūna
7:43 And We will remove whatever (is) in their breasts of malice. Flows from underneath them the rivers. And they will say, “All the praise (is) for Allah, the One Who guided us to this, and not we were to receive guidance if not [that] (had) guided us Allah. Certainly, came Messengers (of) our Lord with the truth.” And they will be addressed, [that] “This (is) Paradise, you have been made to inherit it for what you used to do.“
43. Wa naza’naa maa fee sudoorihim min ghillin tajree min tahtihimul anhaaru wa qaalul hamdu lillaahil lazee hadaanaa lihaaza wa maa kunna linahtadiya law laaa ann hadaanal laahu laqad jaaa’at Rusulu Rabbinaa bilhaqq; wa noodoo an tilkumul jannnatu ooristumoohaa bimaa kuntum ta’maloon
44. وَنَادَىٰ أَصْحَابُ الْجَنَّةِ أَصْحَابَ النَّارِ أَنْ قَدْ وَجَدْنَا مَا وَعَدَنَا رَبُّنَا حَقًّا فَهَلْ وَجَدْتُمْ مَا وَعَدَ رَبُّكُمْ حَقًّا ۖ قَالُوا نَعَمْ ۚ فَأَذَّنَ مُؤَذِّنٌ بَيْنَهُمْ أَنْ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى الظَّالِمِينَ
Wa Nādá ‘Aşĥābu Al-Jannati ‘Aşĥāba An-Nāri ‘An Qad Wajadnā Mā Wa`adanā Rabbunā Ĥaqqāan Fahal Wajadtum Mā Wa`ada Rabbukum Ĥaqqāan Qālū Na`am Fa’adhdhana Mu’uadhdhinun Baynahum ‘An La`natu Al-Lahi `Alá Až-Žālimīna
7:44 And will call out (the) companions (of) Paradise (to the) companions (of) the Fire that, “Indeed, we found what had promised us our Lord true. So have you found what promised your Lord (to be) true?” They will say, “Yes.” Then will announce an announcer among them, [that] “(The) curse (of) Allah (is) on the wrongdoers,
44. Wa naadaa Ashaabul jannati ashaaban Naari an qad wajadnaa maa wa’adannaa Rabbunaa haqqan fahal wajattum maa wa’ada Rabbukum haqqan qaaloo na’am; fa azzana mu’azzinum bainahum al la’natul laahi ‘alaz zaalimeen
45. الَّذِينَ يَصُدُّونَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَيَبْغُونَهَا عِوَجًا وَهُمْ بِالْآخِرَةِ كَافِرُونَ
Al-Ladhīna Yaşuddūna `An Sabīli Al-Lahi Wa Yabghūnahā `Iwajāan Wa Hum Bil-‘Ākhirati Kāfirūna
7:45 Those who hinder from (the) way (of) Allah and seek in it crookedness while they (are) concerning the Hereafter, disbelievers.”
45. Allazeena yasuddoona ‘an sabeelil laahi wa yabghoo nahaa ‘iwajanw wa hum bil Aakhirati kaafiroon
46. وَبَيْنَهُمَا حِجَابٌ ۚ وَعَلَى الْأَعْرَافِ رِجَالٌ يَعْرِفُونَ كُلًّا بِسِيمَاهُمْ ۚ وَنَادَوْا أَصْحَابَ الْجَنَّةِ أَنْ سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكُمْ ۚ لَمْ يَدْخُلُوهَا وَهُمْ يَطْمَعُونَ
Wa Baynahumā Ĥijābun Wa `Alá Al-‘A`rāfi Rijālun Ya`rifūna Kullāan Bisīmāhum Wa Nādaw ‘Aşĥāba Al-Jannati ‘An Salāmun `Alaykum Lam Yadkhulūhā Wa Hum Yaţma`ūna
7:46 And between them (will be) a partition, and on the heights (will be) men recognizing all by their marks. And they will call out (to the) companions (of) Paradise that “Peace (be) upon you.” Not they have entered it but they hope.
46. Wa bainahumaa hijaab; wa ‘alal A’raafi rijaaluny ya’rifoona kullam biseemaahum; wa naadaw Ashaabal jannati an salaamun ‘alaikum; lam yadkhuloohaa wa hum yatma’oon
47. وَإِذَا صُرِفَتْ أَبْصَارُهُمْ تِلْقَاءَ أَصْحَابِ النَّارِ قَالُوا رَبَّنَا لَا تَجْعَلْنَا مَعَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ
Wa ‘Idhā Şurifat ‘Abşāruhum Tilqā’a ‘Aşĥābi An-Nāri Qālū Rabbanā Lā Taj`alnā Ma`a Al-Qawmi Až-Žālimīna
7:47 And when are turned their eyes towards (the) companions (of) the Fire, they (will) say, “Our Lord! (Do) not place us with the people – the wrongdoers.”
47. Wa izaa surifat absaaruhum tilqaaa’a Ashaabin Naari qaaloo Rabbanaa laa taj’alnaa ma’al qawmiz zaalimeen (section 5)
48. وَنَادَىٰ أَصْحَابُ الْأَعْرَافِ رِجَالًا يَعْرِفُونَهُمْ بِسِيمَاهُمْ قَالُوا مَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنْكُمْ جَمْعُكُمْ وَمَا كُنْتُمْ تَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
Wa Nādá ‘Aşĥābu Al-‘A`rāfi Rijālāan Ya`rifūnahum Bisīmāhum Qālū Mā ‘Aghná `Ankum Jam`ukum Wa Mā Kuntum Tastakbirūna
7:48 And (will) call out (the) companions (of) the heights (to) men whom they recognize by their marks saying, “Not (has) availed [to] you your gathering and what you were arrogant (about).”
48. Wa naadaaa Ashaabul a’raafi rijaalany ya’rifoonahum biseemaahum qaaloo maaa aghnaa ‘ankum jam’ukum wa maa kuntum tastakbiroon
49. أَهَٰؤُلَاءِ الَّذِينَ أَقْسَمْتُمْ لَا يَنَالُهُمُ اللَّهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ ۚ ادْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ لَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَا أَنْتُمْ تَحْزَنُونَ
‘Ahā’uulā‘ Al-Ladhīna ‘Aqsamtum Lā Yanāluhumu Al-Lahu Biraĥmatin Adkhulū Al-Jannata Lā Khawfun `Alaykum Wa Lā ‘Antum Taĥzanūna
7:49 Are these the ones whom you had sworn not that (will) grant them Allah Mercy? “Enter Paradise. (There will be) no fear upon you and not you will grieve.“
49. A haaa’ulaaa’il lazeena aqsamtum laa yanaaluhumul laahu bi rahmah; udkhulul Jannata laa khawfun ‘alaikum wa laaa antum tahzanoon
50. وَنَادَىٰ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ أَصْحَابَ الْجَنَّةِ أَنْ أَفِيضُوا عَلَيْنَا مِنَ الْمَاءِ أَوْ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللَّهُ ۚ قَالُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ حَرَّمَهُمَا عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ
Wa Nādá ‘Aşĥābu An-Nāri ‘Aşĥāba Al-Jannati ‘An ‘Afīđū `Alaynā Mina Al-Mā’i ‘Aw Mimmā Razaqakumu Al-Lahu Qālū ‘Inna Al-Laha Ĥarramahumā `Alá Al-Kāfirīna
7:50 And (will) call out (the) companions (of) the Fire (to the) companions (of) Paradise [that], “Pour upon us [of] (some) water or of what has provided you Allah.” They (will) say, “Indeed, Allah has forbidden both to the disbelievers,
50. Wa naadaaa Ashaabun Naari Ashaabal jannati an afeedoo ‘alainaa minal maaa’i aw mimma razaqakumul laah; qaaloo innal laaha harrama humaa ‘alal kaafireen
51. الَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا دِينَهُمْ لَهْوًا وَلَعِبًا وَغَرَّتْهُمُ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا ۚ فَالْيَوْمَ نَنْسَاهُمْ كَمَا نَسُوا لِقَاءَ يَوْمِهِمْ هَٰذَا وَمَا كَانُوا بِآيَاتِنَا يَجْحَدُونَ
Al-Ladhīna Attakhadhū Dīnahum Lahwan Wa La`ibāan Wa Gharrat/humu Al-Ĥayāatu Ad-Dunyā Fālyawma Nansāhum Kamā Nasū Liqā’a Yawmihim Hādhā Wa Mā Kānū Bi’āyātinā Yajĥadūna
7:51 Those who took their religion (as) an amusement and play and deluded them the life (of) the world.” So today We forget them as they forgot (the) meeting (of) their Day this, and [what] (as) they used to Our Verses reject.
51. Allazeenat takhazoo deenahum lahwanw wa la’i-banw wa gharrat humul hayaatud dunyaa; fal Yawma nannsaahum kamaa nasoo liqaaa’a Yawmihim haazaa wa maa kaanoo bi aayaatinaa yajhadoon
52. وَلَقَدْ جِئْنَاهُمْ بِكِتَابٍ فَصَّلْنَاهُ عَلَىٰ عِلْمٍ هُدًى وَرَحْمَةً لِقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ
Wa Laqad Ji’nāhum Bikitābin Faşşalnāhu `Alá `Ilmin Hudáan Wa Raĥmatan Liqawmin Yu’uminūna
7:52 And certainly We had brought (to) them a Book which We have explained with knowledge – a guidance and mercy for a people who believe.
52. Wa laqad ji’naahum bi Kitaabin fassalnaahu ‘alaa ‘ilmin hudanw wa rahmatal liqawminy-yu’minoon
53. هَلْ يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَّا تَأْوِيلَهُ ۚ يَوْمَ يَأْتِي تَأْوِيلُهُ يَقُولُ الَّذِينَ نَسُوهُ مِنْ قَبْلُ قَدْ جَاءَتْ رُسُلُ رَبِّنَا بِالْحَقِّ فَهَلْ لَنَا مِنْ شُفَعَاءَ فَيَشْفَعُوا لَنَا أَوْ نُرَدُّ فَنَعْمَلَ غَيْرَ الَّذِي كُنَّا نَعْمَلُ ۚ قَدْ خَسِرُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ
Hal Yanžurūna ‘Illā Ta’wīlahu Yawma Ya’tī Ta’wīluhu Yaqūlu Al-Ladhīna Nasūhu Min Qablu Qad Jā’at Rusulu Rabbinā Bil-Ĥaqqi Fahal Lanā Min Shufa`ā’a Fayashfa`ū Lanā ‘Aw Nuraddu Fana`mala Ghayra Al-Ladhī Kunnā Na`malu Qad Khasirū ‘Anfusahum Wa Đalla `Anhum Mā Kānū Yaftarūna
7:53 Do they wait except (for) its fulfillment (The) Day (will) come its fulfillment, will say those who had forgotten it from before, “Verily had come (the) Messengers (of) our Lord with the truth, so are (there) for us any intercessors so (that) they intercede for us or we are sent back so (that) we do (deeds) other than that which we used to do.” Verily, they lost themselves, and strayed from them what they used to invent.
53. Hal yanzuroona illaa ta’weelah; yawma ya’tee ta’weeluhoo yaqoolul lazeena nasoohu min qablu qad jaaa’at Rusulu Rabbinaa bilhaqq; fahal lanaa min shufa’aaa’a fa yashfa’oo lanaaa aw nuraddu fana’mala ghairal lazee kunnaa na’mal; qad khasirooo anfusahum wa dalla ‘anhum maa kaanoo yaftaroon (section 6)
54. إِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ يُغْشِي اللَّيْلَ النَّهَارَ يَطْلُبُهُ حَثِيثًا وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ وَالنُّجُومَ مُسَخَّرَاتٍ بِأَمْرِهِ ۗ أَلَا لَهُ الْخَلْقُ وَالْأَمْرُ ۗ تَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ
‘Inna Rabbakumu Al-Lahu Al-Ladhī Khalaqa As-Samāwāti Wa Al-‘Arđa Fī Sittati ‘Ayyāmin Thumma Astawá `Alá Al-`Arshi Yughshī Al-Layla An-Nahāra Yaţlubuhu Ĥathīthāan Wa Ash-Shamsa Wa Al-Qamara Wa An-Nujūma Musakhkharātin Bi’amrihi ‘Alā Lahu Al-Khalqu Wa Al-‘Amru Tabāraka Al-Lahu Rabbu Al-`Ālamīna
7:54 Indeed, your Lord (is) Allah the One Who created the heavens and the earth in six epochs, then He ascended on the Throne. He covers the night (with) the day seeking it rapidly and the sun and the moon and the stars – subjected by His command. Unquestionably for Him (is) the creation and the command, blessed (is) Allah, Lord (of) the worlds.
54. Inna Rabbakumul laahul lazee khalaqas samaawaati wal arda fee sittati ayyaamin summas tawaa ‘alal ‘arshi yughshil lailan nahaara yatlu buhoo haseesanw washshamsa walqamara wannujooma musakharaatim bi amrih; alaa lahul khalqu wal-amr; tabaarakal laahu Rabbul ‘aalameen
55. ادْعُوا رَبَّكُمْ تَضَرُّعًا وَخُفْيَةً ۚ إِنَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُعْتَدِينَ
Ad`ū Rabbakum Tađarru`āan Wa Khufyatan ‘Innahu Lā Yuĥibbu Al-Mu`tadīna
7:55 Call upon your Lord humbly and privately. Indeed, He (does) not love the transgressors.
55. Ud’oo Rabbakum tadarru’anw wa khufyah; innahoo laa yuhibbul mu’tadeen
56. وَلَا تُفْسِدُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ بَعْدَ إِصْلَاحِهَا وَادْعُوهُ خَوْفًا وَطَمَعًا ۚ إِنَّ رَحْمَتَ اللَّهِ قَرِيبٌ مِنَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
Wa Lā Tufsidū Fī Al-‘Arđi Ba`da ‘Işlāĥihā Wa Ad`ūhu Khawfāan Wa Ţama`āan ‘Inna Raĥmata Al-Lahi Qarībun Mina Al-Muĥsinīna
7:56 And (do) not cause corruption in the earth after its reformation. And call Him (in) fear and hope. Indeed, (the) Mercy (of) Allah (is) near for the good-doers.
56. Wa laa tufsidoo fil ardi ba’da islaahihaa wad’oohu khawfanw wa tama’aa; inna rahmatal laahi qareebum minal muhsineen
57. وَهُوَ الَّذِي يُرْسِلُ الرِّيَاحَ بُشْرًا بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَحْمَتِهِ ۖ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا أَقَلَّتْ سَحَابًا ثِقَالًا سُقْنَاهُ لِبَلَدٍ مَيِّتٍ فَأَنْزَلْنَا بِهِ الْمَاءَ فَأَخْرَجْنَا بِهِ مِنْ كُلِّ الثَّمَرَاتِ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نُخْرِجُ الْمَوْتَىٰ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ
Wa Huwa Al-Ladhī Yursilu Ar-Riyāĥa Bushrāan Bayna Yaday Raĥmatihi Ĥattá ‘Idhā ‘Aqallat Saĥābāan Thiqālāan Suqnāhu Libaladin Mayyitin Fa’anzalnā Bihi Al-Mā’a Fa’akhrajnā Bihi Min Kulli Ath-Thamarāti Kadhālika Nukhriju Al-Mawtá La`allakum Tadhakkarūna
7:57 And He (is) the One Who sends the winds (as) glad tidings between (his) mercy Mercy, until, when they have carried clouds – heavy, We drive them to a land dead then We send down from it the water then We bring forth from it of all (kinds) [the] fruits. Thus We will bring forth the dead so that you may take heed.
57. Wa Huwal lazee yursilur riyaaha bushram baina yadai rahmatihee hattaaa izaaa aqallat sahaaban siqaalan suqnaahu libaladim maiyitin fa annzalnaa bihil maaa’a fa akhrajnaa bihee minn kullis samaraat; kazaalika nukhrijul mawtaa la’allakum tazakkaroon
58. وَالْبَلَدُ الطَّيِّبُ يَخْرُجُ نَبَاتُهُ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِ ۖ وَالَّذِي خَبُثَ لَا يَخْرُجُ إِلَّا نَكِدًا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نُصَرِّفُ الْآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَشْكُرُونَ
Wa Al-Baladu Aţ-Ţayyibu Yakhruju Nabātuhu Bi’idhni Rabbihi Wa Al-Ladhī Khabutha Lā Yakhruju ‘Illā Nakidāan Kadhālika Nuşarrifu Al-‘Āyāti Liqawmin Yashkurūna
7:58 And the land – [the] pure, comes forth its vegetation by (the) permission (of) its Lord, but which is bad – (does) not come forth except (with) difficulty. Thus We explain the Signs for a people who are grateful.
58. Walbaladut taiyibu yakhruju nabaatuhoo bi-izni Rabbihee wallazee khabusa laa yakhruju illaa nakidaa; kazaalika nusarriful Aayaati liqawminy yashkuroon (section 7)
59. لَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِ فَقَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُهُ إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
Laqad ‘Arsalnā Nūĥāan ‘Ilá Qawmihi Faqāla Yā Qawmi A`budū Al-Laha Mā Lakum Min ‘Ilahin Ghayruhu ‘Innī ‘Akhāfu `Alaykum `Adhāba Yawmin `Ažīmin
7:59 Certainly, We sent Nuh to his people and he said, “O my people! Worship Allah, not for you any god other than Him. Indeed, I [I] fear for you punishment (of the) Day Great.”
59. Laqad arsalnaa noohan ilaa qawmihee faqaala yaa qawmi’ budul laaha maa lakum min ilaahin ghairuhoo inneee akhaafu ‘alaikum ‘azaaba Yawmin ‘Azeem
60. قَالَ الْمَلَأُ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ إِنَّا لَنَرَاكَ فِي ضَلَالٍ مُبِينٍ
Qāla Al-Mala‘u Min Qawmihi ‘Innā Lanarāka Fī Đalālin Mubīnin
7:60 Said the chiefs of his people, “Indeed, we surely see you in error clear.”
60. Qaalal mala-u min qaw miheee innaa lanaraaka fee dalaalim mubeen
61. قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ لَيْسَ بِي ضَلَالَةٌ وَلَٰكِنِّي رَسُولٌ مِنْ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
Qāla Yā Qawmi Laysa Bī Đalālatun Wa Lakinnī Rasūlun Min Rabbi Al-`Ālamīna
7:61 He said, “O my people! (There is) no in me error, but I am a Messenger from (the) Lord (of) the worlds.
61. Qaala yaa qawmi laisa bee dalaalatunw wa laakinnee Rasoolum mir Rabbil ‘aalameen
62. أُبَلِّغُكُمْ رِسَالَاتِ رَبِّي وَأَنْصَحُ لَكُمْ وَأَعْلَمُ مِنَ اللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
‘Uballighukum Risālāti Rabbī Wa ‘Anşaĥu Lakum Wa ‘A`lamu Mina Al-Lahi Mā Lā Ta`lamūna
7:62 I convey to you the Messages (of) my Lord and [I] advise [to] you, and I know from Allah what not (do) you know.
62. Uballighukum Risaalaati Rabbee wa ansahu lakum wa a’lamu minal laahi maa laa ta’lamoon
63. أَوَعَجِبْتُمْ أَنْ جَاءَكُمْ ذِكْرٌ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ عَلَىٰ رَجُلٍ مِنْكُمْ لِيُنْذِرَكُمْ وَلِتَتَّقُوا وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ
‘Awa`ajibtum ‘An Jā’akum Dhikrun Min Rabbikum `Alá Rajulin Minkum Liyundhirakum Wa Litattaqū Wa La`allakum Turĥamūna
7:63 Do you wonder that has come to you a reminder from your Lord on a man among you, that he may warn you and that you may fear, and so that you may receive mercy.”
63. Awa ‘ajibtum an jaaa’akum zikrum mir Rabbikum ‘alaa rajulim minkum liyunzirakum wa litattaqoo wa la’allakum turhamoon
64. فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَنْجَيْنَاهُ وَالَّذِينَ مَعَهُ فِي الْفُلْكِ وَأَغْرَقْنَا الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمًا عَمِينَ
Fakadhdhabūhu Fa’anjaynāhu Wa Al-Ladhīna Ma`ahu Fī Al-Fulki Wa ‘Aghraqnā Al-Ladhīna Kadhdhabū Bi’āyātinā ‘Innahum Kānū Qawmāan `Amīna
7:64 But they denied him, so We saved him and those who (were) with him in the ship. And We drowned those who denied Our Verses. Indeed, they were a people blind.
64. Fakazzaboohu fa anjai naahu wallazeena ma’ahoo fil fulki wa aghraqnal lazeena kazzaboo bi Aayaatinaa; innahum kaanoo qawman ‘ameen (section 8)
65. وَإِلَىٰ عَادٍ أَخَاهُمْ هُودًا ۗ قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُهُ ۚ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
Wa ‘Ilá `Ādin ‘Akhāhum Hūdāan Qāla Yā Qawmi A`budū Al-Laha Mā Lakum Min ‘Ilahin Ghayruhu ‘Afalā Tattaqūna
7:65 And to Aad (We sent) their brother Hud. He said, “O my people! Worship Allah, not for you any god other than Him. Then will not you fear (Allah)?”
65. Wa ilaa ‘aadin akhaahum Hoodaa; qaala yaa qawmi’ budul laaha maa lakum min ilaahin ghairuh; afalaa tattaqoon
66. قَالَ الْمَلَأُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ قَوْمِهِ إِنَّا لَنَرَاكَ فِي سَفَاهَةٍ وَإِنَّا لَنَظُنُّكَ مِنَ الْكَاذِبِينَ
Qāla Al-Mala’u Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Min Qawmihi ‘Innā  Fī Safāhatin Wa ‘Innā Lanažunnuka Mina Al-Kādhibīna
7:66 Said the chiefs (of) those who disbelieved from his people, “Indeed, we surely, see you in foolishness and indeed, we [we] think you (are) of the liars.”
66. Qaalal mala ul lazeena kafaroo min qawmiheee innaa lanaraaka fee safaahatinw wa innaa la nazunnuka minal kaazibeen
67. قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ لَيْسَ بِي سَفَاهَةٌ وَلَٰكِنِّي رَسُولٌ مِنْ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
Qāla Yā Qawmi Laysa Bī Safāhatun Wa Lakinnī Rasūlun Min Rabbi Al-`Ālamīna
7:67 He said, “O my people! (There is) no in me foolishness but I am a Messenger from (the) Lord (of) the worlds.
67. Qaala yaa qawmi laisa bee safaahatunw wa laakinnee Rasoolum mir Rabbil ‘aalameen
68. أُبَلِّغُكُمْ رِسَالَاتِ رَبِّي وَأَنَا لَكُمْ نَاصِحٌ أَمِينٌ
‘Uballighukum Risālāti Rabbī Wa ‘Anā Lakum Nāşiĥun ‘Amīnun
7:68 I convey to you Messages (of) my Lord and I am to you an adviser – trustworthy.
68. Uballighukum Risaalaati Rabbee wa ana lakum naasihun ameen
69. أَوَعَجِبْتُمْ أَنْ جَاءَكُمْ ذِكْرٌ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ عَلَىٰ رَجُلٍ مِنْكُمْ لِيُنْذِرَكُمْ ۚ وَاذْكُرُوا إِذْ جَعَلَكُمْ خُلَفَاءَ مِنْ بَعْدِ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَزَادَكُمْ فِي الْخَلْقِ بَسْطَةً ۖ فَاذْكُرُوا آلَاءَ اللَّهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ
‘Awa`ajibtum ‘An Jā’akum Dhikrun Min Rabbikum `Alá Rajulin Minkum Liyundhirakum Wa Adhkurū ‘Idh Ja`alakum Khulafā’a Min Ba`di Qawmi Nūĥin Wa Zādakum Fī Al-Khalqi Basţatan Fādhkurū ‘Ālā’a Al-Lahi La`allakum Tufliĥūna
7:69 Do you wonder that has come to you a reminder from your Lord on a man among you that he may warn you? And remember when He made you successors from after (the) people (of) Nuh, and increased you in the stature extensively. So remember (the) Bounties (of) Allah so that you may succeed.”
69. Awa ‘ajibtum an jaaa’akum zikrum mir Rabbikum ‘alaa rajulim minkum liyunzirakum; wazkurooo iz ja’alakum khulafaaa’a mim ba’di qawmi noohinw wa zaadakum filkhalqi bastatan fazkurooo aalaaa’al laahi la’allakum tuflihoon
70. قَالُوا أَجِئْتَنَا لِنَعْبُدَ اللَّهَ وَحْدَهُ وَنَذَرَ مَا كَانَ يَعْبُدُ آبَاؤُنَا ۖ فَأْتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَا إِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ
Qālū ‘Aji’tanā Lina`buda Al-Laha Waĥdahu Wa Nadhara Mā Kāna Ya`budu ‘Ābā’uunā Fa’tinā Bimā Ta`idunā ‘In Kunta Mina Aş-Şādiqīna
7:70 They said, “Have you come to us that we (should) worship Allah Alone and we forsake what used to worship our forefathers? Then bring us of what you promise us, if you are of the truthful.“
70. Qaalooo aji’tanaa lina’budal laaha wahdahoo wa nazara maa kaana ya’budu aabaaa’unaa fa’tinaa bimaa ta’idunaaa in kunta minas saadiqeen
71. قَالَ قَدْ وَقَعَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ رِجْسٌ وَغَضَبٌ ۖ أَتُجَادِلُونَنِي فِي أَسْمَاءٍ سَمَّيْتُمُوهَا أَنْتُمْ وَآبَاؤُكُمْ مَا نَزَّلَ اللَّهُ بِهَا مِنْ سُلْطَانٍ ۚ فَانْتَظِرُوا إِنِّي مَعَكُمْ مِنَ الْمُنْتَظِرِينَ
Qāla Qad Waqa`a `Alaykum Min Rabbikum Rijsun Wa Ghađabun ‘Atujādilūnanī Fī ‘Asmā’in Sammaytumūhā ‘Antum Wa ‘Ābā’uukum Mā Nazzala Al-Lahu Bihā Min Sulţānin Fāntažirū ‘Innī Ma`akum Mina Al-Muntažirīna

7:71 He said, “Verily has fallen upon you from your Lord punishment and anger. Do you dispute with me concerning names you have named them – you and your forefathers not (has) sent down Allah for it any authority? Then wait, indeed, I am with you of the ones who wait.
71. Qaala qad waqa’a alaikum mir Rabbikum rijsunw wa ghadab, atujaadiloonanee feee asmaaa’in sammaitumoohaaa antum wa aabaaa’ukum maa nazzalal laahu bihaa min sultaan; fantazirooo innee ma’akum minal muntazireen
72. فَأَنْجَيْنَاهُ وَالَّذِينَ مَعَهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ مِنَّا وَقَطَعْنَا دَابِرَ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا ۖ وَمَا كَانُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ
Fa’anjaynāhu Wa Al-Ladhīna Ma`ahu Biraĥmatin Minnā Wa Qaţa`nā Dābira Al-Ladhīna Kadhdhabū Bi’āyātinā Wa Mā Kānū Mu’uminīna
7:72 So We saved him and those with him by Mercy from Us. And We cut off the roots (of) those who denied Our Signs, and not they were believers.
72. Fa anjainaahu wallazeena ma’ahoo birahmatim minnaa wa qata’naa daabiral lazeena kazzaboo bi Aayaatinaa wa maa kaanoo mu’mineen (section 9)
73. وَإِلَىٰ ثَمُودَ أَخَاهُمْ صَالِحًا ۗ قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُهُ ۖ قَدْ جَاءَتْكُمْ بَيِّنَةٌ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ ۖ هَٰذِهِ نَاقَةُ اللَّهِ لَكُمْ آيَةً ۖ فَذَرُوهَا تَأْكُلْ فِي أَرْضِ اللَّهِ ۖ وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوءٍ فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
Wa ‘Ilá Thamūda ‘Akhāhum Şāliĥāan Qāla Yā Qawmi A`budū Al-Laha Mā Lakum Min ‘Ilahin Ghayruhu Qad Jā’atkum Bayyinatun Min Rabbikum Hadhihi Nāqatu Al-Lahi Lakum ‘Āyatan Fadharūhā Ta’kul Fī ‘Arđi Al-Lahi Wa Lā Tamassūhā Bisū’in Faya’khudhakum `Adhābun ‘Alīmun
7:73 And to Thamud (We sent) their brother Salih. He said, “O my people! Worship Allah, not for you any god other than Him. Verily has come to you a clear proof from your Lord, This (is) a she-camel (of) Allah for you (as) a Sign. So you leave her (to) eat on (the) earth (of) Allah, and (do) not touch her with harm, lest seizes you a punishment painful.”
73. Wa ilaa Samooda akhaahum Saalihaa; qaala yaa qawmi’ budul laaha maa lakum min ilaahin ghairuhoo qad jaaa’atkum baiyinatum mir Rabbikum haazihee naaqatul laahi lakum Aayatan fazaroohaa ta’kul feee ardil laahi wa laa tamassoohaa bisooo’in fa ya’khuzakum ‘azaabun aleem
74. وَاذْكُرُوا إِذْ جَعَلَكُمْ خُلَفَاءَ مِنْ بَعْدِ عَادٍ وَبَوَّأَكُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ تَتَّخِذُونَ مِنْ سُهُولِهَا قُصُورًا وَتَنْحِتُونَ الْجِبَالَ بُيُوتًا ۖ فَاذْكُرُوا آلَاءَ اللَّهِ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا فِي الْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ
Wa Adhkurū ‘Idh Ja`alakum Khulafā’a Min Ba`di `Ādin Wa Bawwa’akum Fī Al-‘Arđi Tattakhidhūna Min Suhūlihā Quşūrāan Wa Tanĥitūna Al-Jibāla Buyūtāan Fādhkurū ‘Ālā’a Al-Lahi Wa Lā Ta`thaw Fī Al-‘Arđi Mufsidīna
7:74 And remember when He made you successors from after Aad, and settled you in the earth. You take from its plains palaces and you carve out the mountains (as) homes. So remember (the) Bounties (of) Allah and (do) not act wickedly in (the) earth spreading corruption.
74. Wazkuroo iz ja’alakum khulafaaa’a mim ba’di ‘Aadinw wa bawwa akum fil ardi tattakhizoona min suhoolihaa qusooranw wa tanhitoonal jibaala buyootan fazkurooo aalaaa’al laahi wa laa ta’saw fil ardi mufsideen
75. قَالَ الْمَلَأُ الَّذِينَ اسْتَكْبَرُوا مِنْ قَوْمِهِ لِلَّذِينَ اسْتُضْعِفُوا لِمَنْ آمَنَ مِنْهُمْ أَتَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ صَالِحًا مُرْسَلٌ مِنْ رَبِّهِ ۚ قَالُوا إِنَّا بِمَا أُرْسِلَ بِهِ مُؤْمِنُونَ
Qāla Al-Mala’u Al-Ladhīna Astakbarū Min Qawmihi Lilladhīna Astuđ`ifū Liman ‘Āmana Minhum ‘Ata`lamūna ‘Anna Şāliĥāan Mursalun Min Rabbihi Qālū ‘Innā Bimā ‘Ursila Bihi Mu’uminūna
7:75 Said the chiefs (of) those who were arrogant among his people to those who were oppressed – [to] those who believed among them, “Do you know that Salih (is the) one sent from his Lord?” They said, “Indeed, we in what he has been sent with [it] (are) believers.”
75. Qaalal mala ul lazeenas takbaroo min qawmihee lillazeenas tud’ifoo liman aamana minhum ata’lamoona anna Saaliham mursalum mir Rabbih; qaalooo innaa bimaaa ursila bihee mu’minoon
76. قَالَ الَّذِينَ اسْتَكْبَرُوا إِنَّا بِالَّذِي آمَنْتُمْ بِهِ كَافِرُونَ
Qāla Al-Ladhīna Astakbarū ‘Innā Bial-Ladhī ‘Āmantum Bihi Kāfirūna
7:76 Said those who were arrogant, “Indeed we, in that which you believe in it (are) disbelievers.”
76. Qaalal lazeenas takbarooo innaa billazeee aamanntum bihee kaafiroon
77. فَعَقَرُوا النَّاقَةَ وَعَتَوْا عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ وَقَالُوا يَا صَالِحُ ائْتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَا إِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
Fa`aqarū An-Nāqata Wa `Ataw `An ‘Amri Rabbihim Wa Qālū Yā Şāliĥu A’tinā Bimā Ta`idunā ‘In Kunta Mina Al-Mursalīna
7:77 Then they hamstrung the she-camel and (were) insolent towards (the) command (of) their Lord and they said, “O Salih! Bring us what you promise us if you are of the Messengers.”
77. Fa’aqarun naaqata wa’ataw ‘an amri Rabbihim wa qaaloo yaa Saalihu’ tinaa bimaa ta’idunaaa in kunta minal mursaleen
78. فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الرَّجْفَةُ فَأَصْبَحُوا فِي دَارِهِمْ جَاثِمِينَ
Fa’akhadhat/humu Ar-Rajfatu Fa’aşbaĥū Fī Dārihim Jāthimīna
7:78 So seized them the earthquake, then they became in their homes fallen prone.
78. Fa akhazat humur rajfatu fa asbahoo fee daarihim jaasimeen
79. فَتَوَلَّىٰ عَنْهُمْ وَقَالَ يَا قَوْمِ لَقَدْ أَبْلَغْتُكُمْ رِسَالَةَ رَبِّي وَنَصَحْتُ لَكُمْ وَلَٰكِنْ لَا تُحِبُّونَ النَّاصِحِينَ
Fatawallá `Anhum Wa Qāla Yā Qawmi Laqad ‘Ablaghtukum Risālata Rabbī Wa Naşaĥtu Lakum Wa Lakin Lā Tuĥibbūna An-Nāşiĥīna
7:79 So he turned away from them and he said, “O my people! Verily, I have conveyed to you (the) Message (of) my Lord and [I] advised [to] you but not you like the advisers.“
79. Fa tawalla ‘anhum wa qaala yaa qawmi laqad ablaghtukum Risaalata Rabbee wa nasahtu lakum wa laakil laa tuhibboonan naasiheen
80. وَلُوطًا إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ أَتَأْتُونَ الْفَاحِشَةَ مَا سَبَقَكُمْ بِهَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ مِنَ الْعَالَمِينَ
Wa Lūţāan ‘Idh Qāla Liqawmihi ‘Ata’tūna Al-Fāĥishata Mā Sabaqakum Bihā Min ‘Aĥadin Mina Al-`Ālamīna
7:80 And Lut, when he said to his people, “Do you commit (such) immorality not has preceded you therein any one of the worlds?
80. Wa Lootan iz qaala liqawmiheee ata’toonal faahishata maa sabaqakum bihaa min ahadim minal ‘aalameen
81. إِنَّكُمْ لَتَأْتُونَ الرِّجَالَ شَهْوَةً مِنْ دُونِ النِّسَاءِ ۚ بَلْ أَنْتُمْ قَوْمٌ مُسْرِفُونَ
‘Innakum Lata’tūna Ar-Rijāla Shahwatan Min Dūni An-Nisā’ Bal ‘Antum Qawmun Musrifūna
7:81 Indeed, you you approach the men lustfully from instead of the women. Nay, you (are) a people (who) commit excesses.“
81. Innakum lata’toonar rijaala shahwatam min doonin nisaaa’; bal antumqawmum musrifoon
82. وَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهِ إِلَّا أَنْ قَالُوا أَخْرِجُوهُمْ مِنْ قَرْيَتِكُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ أُنَاسٌ يَتَطَهَّرُونَ
Wa Mā Kāna Jawāba Qawmihi ‘Illā ‘An Qālū ‘Akhrijūhum Min Qaryatikum ‘Innahum ‘Unāsun Yataţahharūn
7:82 And not was (the) answer (of) his people except that they said, “Drive them out of your town. Indeed, they (are) people who keep themselves pure.”
82. Wa maa kaana jawaaba qawmihee illaa an qaalooo akhrijoohum min qaryatikum innahum unaasuny yatatahharoon
83. فَأَنْجَيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ إِلَّا امْرَأَتَهُ كَانَتْ مِنَ الْغَابِرِينَ
Fa’anjaynāhu Wa ‘Ahlahu ‘Illā Amra’atahu Kānat Mina Al-Ghābirīna
7:83 So We saved him and his family except his wife, she was of those who stayed behind.
83. Fa anjainaahu wa ahlahooo illam ra atahoo kaanat minal ghaabireen
84. وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ مَطَرًا ۖ فَانْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُجْرِمِينَ
Wa ‘Amţarnā `Alayhim Maţarāan Fānžur Kayfa Kāna `Āqibatu Al-Mujrimīna
7:84 And We showered upon them a rain. So see how was (the) end (of) the criminals.
84. Wa ‘amtarnaa ‘alaihim mataran fanzur kaifa kaana aaqibatul mujrimeen (section 10)
85. وَإِلَىٰ مَدْيَنَ أَخَاهُمْ شُعَيْبًا ۗ قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُهُ ۖ قَدْ جَاءَتْكُمْ بَيِّنَةٌ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ ۖ فَأَوْفُوا الْكَيْلَ وَالْمِيزَانَ وَلَا تَبْخَسُوا النَّاسَ أَشْيَاءَهُمْ وَلَا تُفْسِدُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ بَعْدَ إِصْلَاحِهَا ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
Wa ‘Ilá Madyana ‘Akhāhum Shu`aybāan Qāla Yā Qawmi A`budū Al-Laha Mā Lakum Min ‘Ilahin Ghayruhu Qad Jā’atkum Bayyinatun Min Rabbikum Fa’awfū Al-Kayla Wa Al-Mīzāna Wa Lā Tabkhasū An-Nāsa ‘Ashyā ‘Ahum Wa Lā Tufsidū Fī Al-‘Arđi Ba`da ‘Işlāĥihā Dhālikum Khayrun Lakum ‘In Kuntum Mu’uminīna
7:85 And to Madyan, his brother Shuaib. He said, “O my people! Worship Allah, not for you any god other than Him. Verily, has came to you a clear proof from your Lord. So give full [the] measure and the weight and (do) not deprive [the] people in their things and (do) not cause corruption in the earth after its reformation. That (is) better for you if you are believers.
85. Wa ilaa Madyana akhaahum Shu’aybaa; qaala yaa qawmi’ budul laaha maa lakum min ilaahin ghairuhoo qad jaaa’atkum baiyinatum mir Rabbikum fa awful kaila walmeezaana wa laa tabkhasun naasa ashyaa’ahum wa laa tufsidoo fil ardi ba’da islaahihaa; zaalikum khairul lakum in kuntum mu’mineen
86. وَلَا تَقْعُدُوا بِكُلِّ صِرَاطٍ تُوعِدُونَ وَتَصُدُّونَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ مَنْ آمَنَ بِهِ وَتَبْغُونَهَا عِوَجًا ۚ وَاذْكُرُوا إِذْ كُنْتُمْ قَلِيلًا فَكَثَّرَكُمْ ۖ وَانْظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُفْسِدِينَ
Wa Lā Taq`udū Bikulli Şirāţin Tū`idūna Wa Taşuddūna `An Sabīli Al-Lahi Man ‘Āmana Bihi Wa Tabghūnahā `Iwajāan Wa Adhkurū ‘Idh Kuntum Qalīlāan Fakaththarakum Wa Anžurū Kayfa Kāna `Āqibatu Al-Mufsidīna
7:86 And (do) not sit on every path threatening and hindering from (the) way (of) Allah (those) who believe in Him, and seeking (to make) it crooked. And remember when you were few and He increased you. And see how was (the) end (of) the corrupters.
86. Wa laa taq’udoo bikulli siraatin too’idoona wa tasuddoona ‘an sabeelil laahi man aamana bihee wa tabghoonahaa ‘iwajaa; waz kurooo iz kuntum qaleelan fakassarakum wanzuroo kaifa kaana ‘aaqibatul mufsideen
87. وَإِنْ كَانَ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْكُمْ آمَنُوا بِالَّذِي أُرْسِلْتُ بِهِ وَطَائِفَةٌ لَمْ يُؤْمِنُوا فَاصْبِرُوا حَتَّىٰ يَحْكُمَ اللَّهُ بَيْنَنَا ۚ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ الْحَاكِمِينَ
Wa ‘In Kāna Ţā’ifatun Minkum ‘Āmanū Bial-Ladhī ‘Ursiltu Bihi Wa Ţā’ifatun Lam Yu’uminū Fāşbirū Ĥattá Yaĥkuma Al-Lahu Baynanā Wa Huwa Khayru Al-Ĥākimīna
7:87 And if (there) is a group among you (who has) believed in that which I have been sent with [it], and a group not they believe, then be patient until judges Allah between us. And He (is the) Best (of) [the] Judges.”
87. Wa In kaana taaa’ifatum minkum aamanoo billazeee ursiltu bihee wa taaa’ifatul lam yu’minoo fasbiroo hattaa yahkumal laahu bainanaa; wa Huwa khairul haakimeen (End Juz 8)
88. قَالَ الْمَلَأُ الَّذِينَ اسْتَكْبَرُوا مِنْ قَوْمِهِ لَنُخْرِجَنَّكَ يَا شُعَيْبُ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَعَكَ مِنْ قَرْيَتِنَا أَوْ لَتَعُودُنَّ فِي مِلَّتِنَا ۚ قَالَ أَوَلَوْ كُنَّا كَارِهِينَ
Qāla Al-Mala’u Al-Ladhīna Astakbarū Min Qawmihi Lanukhrijannaka Yā Shu`aybu Wa Al-Ladhīna ‘Āmanū Ma`aka Min Qaryatinā ‘Aw Lata`ūdunna Fī Millatinā Qāla ‘Awalaw Kunnā Kārihīna
7:88 Said the chiefs (of) those who were arrogant among his people, “We will surely drive you out O Shuaib! And those who (have) believed with you from our city, or you must return to our religion.” He said, “Even if we are (the) ones who hate (it)?
88. Qaalal mala ul lazeenas takbaroo min qawmihee lanukhrijannaka yaa Shu’aibu wallazeena aamanoo ma’aka min qaryatinaaa aw lata’oo dunna fee millatinaa; qaala awa law kunnaa kaariheen
89. قَدِ افْتَرَيْنَا عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا إِنْ عُدْنَا فِي مِلَّتِكُمْ بَعْدَ إِذْ نَجَّانَا اللَّهُ مِنْهَا ۚ وَمَا يَكُونُ لَنَا أَنْ نَعُودَ فِيهَا إِلَّا أَنْ يَشَاءَ اللَّهُ رَبُّنَا ۚ وَسِعَ رَبُّنَا كُلَّ شَيْءٍ عِلْمًا ۚ عَلَى اللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا ۚ رَبَّنَا افْتَحْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ قَوْمِنَا بِالْحَقِّ وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الْفَاتِحِينَ
Qadi Aftaraynā `Alá Al-Lahi Kadhibāan ‘In `Udnā Fī Millatikum Ba`da ‘Idh Najjānā Al-Lahu Minhā Wa Mā Yakūnu Lanā ‘An Na`ūda Fīhā ‘Illā ‘An Yashā’a Al-Lahu Rabbunā Wasi`a Rabbunā Kulla Shay’in `Ilmāan `Alá Al-Lahi Tawakkalnā Rabbanā Aftaĥ Baynanā Wa Bayna Qawminā Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa ‘Anta Khayru Al-Fātiĥīna
7:89 Verily, we would have fabricated against Allah a lie if we returned in your religion after [when] saved us Allah from it. And not it is for us that we return in it except that wills Allah – our Lord. Encompasses Our Lord every thing (in) knowledge. Upon Allah we put our trust. Our Lord! Decide between us and between our people in truth and You (are the) Best (of) those who Decide.”
89. Qadif tarainaa ‘alal laahi kaziban in ‘udnaa fee millatikum ba’da iz najjaanal laahu minhaa; wa maa yakoonu lanaaa an na’ooda feehaaa illaaa ai yashaaa’al laahu Rabbunaa; wasi’a Rabbunaa kulla shai’in ‘ilmaa; ‘alal laahi tawakkalnaa; Rabbanaf tah bainanaa wa baina qawminaa bilhaqqi wa Anta khairul faatiheen
90. وَقَالَ الْمَلَأُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ قَوْمِهِ لَئِنِ اتَّبَعْتُمْ شُعَيْبًا إِنَّكُمْ إِذًا لَخَاسِرُونَ
Wa Qāla Al-Mala’u Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Min Qawmihi La’ini Attaba`tum Shu`aybāan ‘Innakum ‘Idhāan Lakhāsirūna
7:90 And said the chiefs (of) those who disbelieved among his people, “If you follow Shuaib, indeed, you then (will be) certainly losers.“
90. Wa qaalal mala ul lazeena kafaroo min qawmihee la’init taba’tum Shu’aiban innakum izal lakhaasiroon
91. فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الرَّجْفَةُ فَأَصْبَحُوا فِي دَارِهِمْ جَاثِمِينَ
Fa’akhadhat/humu Ar-Rajfatu Fa’aşbaĥū Fī Dārihim Jāthimīna
7:91 Then seized them the earthquake, then they became in their home(s) fallen prone.
91. Fa akhazat humur rajfatu fa asbahoo fee daarihim jaasimeen
92. الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا شُعَيْبًا كَأَنْ لَمْ يَغْنَوْا فِيهَا ۚ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا شُعَيْبًا كَانُوا هُمُ الْخَاسِرِينَ
Al-Ladhīna Kadhdhabū Shu`aybāan Ka’an Lam Yaghnaw Fīhā Al-Ladhīna Kadhdhabū Shu`aybāan Kānū Humu Al-Khāsirīna
7:92 Those who denied Shuaib (became) as if not they (had) lived therein. Those who denied Shuaib, they were them the losers.
92. Allazeena kazzaboo Shu’aiban ka al lam yaghnaw feehaa; allazeena kazzaboo Shu’aiban kaanoo humul khaasireen
93. فَتَوَلَّىٰ عَنْهُمْ وَقَالَ يَا قَوْمِ لَقَدْ أَبْلَغْتُكُمْ رِسَالَاتِ رَبِّي وَنَصَحْتُ لَكُمْ ۖ فَكَيْفَ آسَىٰ عَلَىٰ قَوْمٍ كَافِرِينَ
Fatawallá `Anhum Wa Qāla Yā Qawmi Laqad ‘Ablaghtukum Risālāti Rabbī Wa Naşaĥtu Lakum Fakayfa ‘Āsá `Alá Qawmin Kāfirīna
7:93 So he turned away from them and said, “O my people! Verily, I (have) conveyed to you (the) Messages (of) my Lord and advised [to] you. So how could I grieve for a people (who are) disbelievers?”
93. Fatawalla ‘anhum wa qaala yaa qawmi laqad ablaghtukum Risaalaati Rabbee wa nasahtu lakum fakaifa aasaa’alaa qawmin kaafireen (section 11)
94. وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا فِي قَرْيَةٍ مِنْ نَبِيٍّ إِلَّا أَخَذْنَا أَهْلَهَا بِالْبَأْسَاءِ وَالضَّرَّاءِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَضَّرَّعُونَ
Wa Mā ‘Arsalnā Fī Qaryatin Min Nabīyin ‘Illā ‘Akhadhnā ‘Ahlahā Bil-Ba’sā’i Wa Ađ-Đarrā’i La`allahum Yađđarra`ūna
7:94 And not We sent in a city any Prophet except We seized its people with adversity and hardship, so that they may (become) humble.
94. Wa maaa arsalnaa fee qaryatim min Nabiyyin illaaa akhaznaaa ahlahaa bil ba’saaa’i waddarraaa’i la’allahum yaddarra’oon
95. ثُمَّ بَدَّلْنَا مَكَانَ السَّيِّئَةِ الْحَسَنَةَ حَتَّىٰ عَفَوْا وَقَالُوا قَدْ مَسَّ آبَاءَنَا الضَّرَّاءُ وَالسَّرَّاءُ فَأَخَذْنَاهُمْ بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ
Thumma Baddalnā Makāna As-Sayyi’ati Al-Ĥasanata Ĥattá `Afaw Wa Qālū Qad Massa ‘Ābā’anā Ađ-Đarrā’u Wa As-Sarrā’u Fa’akhadhnāhum Baghtatan Wa Hum Lā Yash`urūna
7:95 Then We changed (in) place (of) the bad the good, until they increased and said, “Verily, (had) touched our forefathers the adversity and the ease.” So We seized them suddenly, while they (did) not perceive.
95. Summa baddalnaa makaa nas saiyi’atil hasanata hattaa ‘afaw wa qaaloo qad massa aabaa’anad darraaa’u wassarraaa’u fa akhaznaahum baghtatanw wa hum laa yash’uroon
96. وَلَوْ أَنَّ أَهْلَ الْقُرَىٰ آمَنُوا وَاتَّقَوْا لَفَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ بَرَكَاتٍ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَلَٰكِنْ كَذَّبُوا فَأَخَذْنَاهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ
Wa Law ‘Anna ‘Ahla Al-Qurá ‘Āmanū Wa Attaqaw Lafataĥnā `Alayhim Barakātin Mina As-Samā’i Wa Al-‘Arđi Wa Lakin Kadhdhabū Fa’akhadhnāhum Bimā Kānū Yaksibūna
7:96 And if [that] people (of) the cities (had) believed and feared Allah surely We (would have) opened upon them blessings from the heaven and the earth but they denied. So We seized them for what they used to earn.
96. Wa law anna ahlal quraaa aamanoo wattaqaw lafatahnaa ‘alaihim barakaatim minas samaaa’i wal ardi wa laakin kazzaboo fa akhaznaahum bimaa kaanoo yaksiboon
97. أَفَأَمِنَ أَهْلُ الْقُرَىٰ أَنْ يَأْتِيَهُمْ بَأْسُنَا بَيَاتًا وَهُمْ نَائِمُونَ
‘Afa’amina ‘Ahlu Al-Qurá ‘An Ya’tiyahum Ba’sunā Bayātāan Wa Hum Nā’imūna
7:97 Then did feel secure (the) people (of) the cities that comes to them Our punishment (at) night while they (were) asleep?
97. Afa amina ahlul quraaa ai ya’tiyahum ba’sunaa bayaatanw wa hum naaa’imoon
98. أَوَأَمِنَ أَهْلُ الْقُرَىٰ أَنْ يَأْتِيَهُمْ بَأْسُنَا ضُحًى وَهُمْ يَلْعَبُونَ
‘Awa ‘Amina ‘Ahlu Al-Qurá ‘An Ya’tiyahum Ba’sunā Đuĥáan Wa Hum Yal`abūna
7:98 Or felt secure (the) people (of) the cities that comes to them Our punishment (in) daylight while they (were) playing?
98. Awa amina ahlul quraaa ai ya’tiyahum ba’sunaa duhanw wa hum yal’aboon
99. أَفَأَمِنُوا مَكْرَ اللَّهِ ۚ فَلَا يَأْمَنُ مَكْرَ اللَّهِ إِلَّا الْقَوْمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ
‘Afa’aminū Makra Al-Lahi Falā Ya’manu Makra Al-Lahi ‘Illā Al-Qawmu Al-Khāsirūna
7:99 Then did they feel secure (from the) plan (of) Allah? But not feel secure (from the) plan (of) Allah except the people (who are) the losers.
99. Afa aminoo makral laah; falaa ya’manu makral laahi illal qawmul khaasiroon (section 12)
100. أَوَلَمْ يَهْدِ لِلَّذِينَ يَرِثُونَ الْأَرْضَ مِنْ بَعْدِ أَهْلِهَا أَنْ لَوْ نَشَاءُ أَصَبْنَاهُمْ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ ۚ وَنَطْبَعُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يَسْمَعُونَ
‘Awalam Yahdi Lilladhīna Yarithūna Al-‘Arđa Min Ba`di ‘Ahlihā ‘An Law Nashā’u ‘Aşabnāhum Bidhunūbihim Wa Naţba`u `Alá Qulūbihim Fahum Lā Yasma`ūna
7:100 Would it not guide [for] those who inherit the land from after its people that if We willed, We (could) afflict them for their sins and We put a seal over their hearts so they (do) not hear?
100. Awa lam yahdi lillazeena yarisoonal arda mim ba’di ahlihaaa al law nashaaa’u asabnaahum bizunoobihim; wa natba’u ‘alaa quloobihim fahum laa yasma’oon
101. تِلْكَ الْقُرَىٰ نَقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ أَنْبَائِهَا ۚ وَلَقَدْ جَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَمَا كَانُوا لِيُؤْمِنُوا بِمَا كَذَّبُوا مِنْ قَبْلُ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يَطْبَعُ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِ الْكَافِرِينَ
Tilka Al-Qurá Naquşşu `Alayka Min ‘Anbā’ihā Wa Laqad Jā’at/hum Rusuluhum Bil-Bayyināti Famā Kānū Liyu’uminū Bimā Kadhdhabū Min Qablu Kadhālika Yaţba`u Al-Lahu `Alá Qulūbi Al-Kāfirīna
7:101 These (were) the cities – We relate to you of their news. And certainly came to them their Messengers with clear proofs, but not they were to believe in what they (had) denied from before. Thus put a seal Allah on (the) hearts (of) the disbelievers.
101. Tilkal quraa naqussu ‘alaika min ambaaa’ihaa; wa laqad jaaa’at hum Rusuluhum bilbaiyinaati famaa kaanoo liyu’minoo bimaa kazzaboo min qabl; kazaalika yatba’ul laahu ‘alaa quloobil kaafireen
102. وَمَا وَجَدْنَا لِأَكْثَرِهِمْ مِنْ عَهْدٍ ۖ وَإِنْ وَجَدْنَا أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَفَاسِقِينَ
Wa Mā Wajadnā Li’ktharihim Min `Ahdin Wa ‘In Wajadnā ‘Aktharahum Lafāsiqīna
7:102 And not We found for most of them any covenant. But We found most of them certainly, defiantly disobedient.
102. Wa maa wajadnaa li aksarihim min ‘ahd; wa inw wajadnaaa aksarahum lafaasiqeen
103. ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ مُوسَىٰ بِآيَاتِنَا إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَئِهِ فَظَلَمُوا بِهَا ۖ فَانْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُفْسِدِينَ
Thumma Ba`athnā Min Ba`dihim Mūsá Bi’āyātinā ‘Ilá Fir`awna Wa Mala’ihi Fažalamū Bihā Fānžur Kayfa Kāna `Āqibatu Al-Mufsidīna
7:103 Then We sent from after them Musa with Our Signs to Firaun and his chiefs, But they were unjust to them. So see how was (the) end (of) the corrupters.
103. Summa ba’asnaa mim ba’dihim Moosaa bi Aayaatinaaa ilaa Fir’awana wa mala’ihee fazalamoo bihaa fanzur kaifa kaana ‘aaqibatul mufsideen
104. وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰ يَا فِرْعَوْنُ إِنِّي رَسُولٌ مِنْ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
Wa Qāla Mūsá Yā Fir`awnu ‘Innī Rasūlun Min Rabbi Al-`Ālamīna
7:104 And said Musa, “O Firaun! Indeed, I am a Messenger from (the) Lord (of) the worlds
104. Wa qaala Moosaa yaa Fir’awnu inneee Rasoolum mir Rabbil ‘aalameen
105. حَقِيقٌ عَلَىٰ أَنْ لَا أَقُولَ عَلَى اللَّهِ إِلَّا الْحَقَّ ۚ قَدْ جِئْتُكُمْ بِبَيِّنَةٍ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ فَأَرْسِلْ مَعِيَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ
Ĥaqīqun `Alá ‘An Lā ‘Aqūla `Alá Al-Lahi ‘Illā Al-Ĥaqqa Qad Ji’tukum Bibayyinatin Min Rabbikum Fa’arsil Ma`ī Banī ‘Isrā’īla
7:105 Obligated on that not I say about Allah except the truth. Verily, I (have) come to you with a clear Sign from your Lord, so send with me (the) Children (of) Israel.”
105. Haqeequn ‘alaaa al laaa aqoola ‘alal laahi illal haqq; qad ji’tukum bibaiyinatim mir Rabbikum fa arsil ma’iya Baneee Israaa’eel
106. قَالَ إِنْ كُنْتَ جِئْتَ بِآيَةٍ فَأْتِ بِهَا إِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ
Qāla ‘In Kunta Ji’ta Bi’āyatin Fa’ti Bihā ‘In Kunta Mina Aş-Şādiqīna
7:106 He said, “If you have come with a Sign, then bring it if you are of the truthful.”
106. Qaala in kunnta ji’ta bi Aayatin fa’tibihaa in kunnta minas saadiqeen
107. فَأَلْقَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِيَ ثُعْبَانٌ مُبِينٌ
Fa’alqá `Aşāhu Fa’idhā Hiya Thu`bānun Mubīnun
7:107 So he threw his staff, and suddenly it (was) a serpent, manifest.
107. Fa alqaa ‘asaahu fa izaa hiya su’baanum mubeen
108. وَنَزَعَ يَدَهُ فَإِذَا هِيَ بَيْضَاءُ لِلنَّاظِرِينَ
Wa Naza`a Yadahu Fa’idhā Hiya Bayđā’u Lilnnāžirīna
7:108 And he drew out his hand and suddenly it (was) white for the observers.
108. Wa naza’a yadahoo fa izaa hiya baidaaa’u linnaazireen (section 13)
109. قَالَ الْمَلَأُ مِنْ قَوْمِ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَسَاحِرٌ عَلِيمٌ
Qāla Al-Mala’u Min Qawmi Fir`awna ‘Inna Hādhā Lasāĥirun `Alīmun
7:109 Said the chiefs of (the) people (of) Firaun, “Indeed, this (is) surely a magician – learned.
109. Qaalal mala-u min qawmi Fir’awna inna haazaa lasaahirun ‘aleem
110. يُرِيدُ أَنْ يُخْرِجَكُمْ مِنْ أَرْضِكُمْ ۖ فَمَاذَا تَأْمُرُونَ
Yurīdu ‘An Yukhrijakum Min ‘Arđikum Famādhā Ta’murūna
7:110 He wants to drive you out from your land, so what (do) you instruct?”
110. Yureedu ai yukhrijakum min ardikum famaazaa ta’muroon
111. قَالُوا أَرْجِهْ وَأَخَاهُ وَأَرْسِلْ فِي الْمَدَائِنِ حَاشِرِينَ
Qālū ‘Arjihi Wa ‘Akhāhu Wa ‘Arsil Fī Al-Madā’ini Ĥāshirīna
7:111 They said, “Postpone him and his brother, and send in the cities gatherers.
111. Qaalooo arjih wa akhaahu wa arsil filmadaaa’ini haashireen
112. يَأْتُوكَ بِكُلِّ سَاحِرٍ عَلِيمٍ
Ya’tūka Bikulli Sāĥirin `Alīmin
7:112 They (will) bring to you [with] every magician learned.”
112. Ya’tooka bikulli saahirin ‘aleem
113. وَجَاءَ السَّحَرَةُ فِرْعَوْنَ قَالُوا إِنَّ لَنَا لَأَجْرًا إِنْ كُنَّا نَحْنُ الْغَالِبِينَ
Wa Jā’a As-Saĥaratu Fir`awna Qālū ‘Inna Lanā La’ajrāan ‘In Kunnā Naĥnu Al-Ghālibīna
7:113 So came the magicians (to) Firaun. They said, “Indeed, for us surely (will be) a reward if we are (we) the victors.”
113. Wa jaaa’as saharatu Fir’awna qaaloo inna lanaa la ajjran in kunnaa nahnul ghaalibeen
114. قَالَ نَعَمْ وَإِنَّكُمْ لَمِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ
Qāla Na`am Wa ‘Innakum Lamina Al-Muqarrabīna
7:114 He said, “Yes, and indeed you surely (will be) of the ones who are near.”
114. Qaala na’am wa innakum laminal muqarrabeen
115. قَالُوا يَا مُوسَىٰ إِمَّا أَنْ تُلْقِيَ وَإِمَّا أَنْ نَكُونَ نَحْنُ الْمُلْقِينَ
Qālū Yā Mūsá ‘Immā ‘An Tulqiya Wa ‘Immā ‘An Nakūna Naĥnu Al-Mulqīna
7:115 They said, “O Musa! Whether [that] you throw or Whether [that] we will be (we) the ones to throw?”
115. Qaaloo yaa Moosaaa immaaa an tulqiya wa immaaa an nakoona nahnul mulqeen
116. قَالَ أَلْقُوا ۖ فَلَمَّا أَلْقَوْا سَحَرُوا أَعْيُنَ النَّاسِ وَاسْتَرْهَبُوهُمْ وَجَاءُوا بِسِحْرٍ عَظِيمٍ
Qāla ‘Alqū Falammā ‘Alqaw Saĥarū ‘A`yuna An-Nāsi Wa Astarhabūhum Wa Jā’ū Bisiĥrin `Ažīmin
7:116 He said, “Throw.” Then when they threw, they bewitched (the) eyes (of) the people, and terrified them and came (up) with a magic great.
116. Qaala alqoo falam maaa alqaw saharooo a’yunannaasi wastarhaboohum wa jaaa’oo bisihrin ‘azeem
117. وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ أَنْ أَلْقِ عَصَاكَ ۖ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ
Wa ‘Awĥaynā ‘Ilá Mūsá ‘An ‘Alqi `Aşāka Fa’idhā Hiya Talqafu Mā Ya’fikūna
7:117 And We inspired to Musa that, “Throw your staff,” and suddenly it swallow(ed) what they (were) falsifying.
117. Wa awhainaaa ilaa Moosaaa an alqi ‘asaaka fa izaa hiya talqafu maa ya’fikoon
118. فَوَقَعَ الْحَقُّ وَبَطَلَ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
Fawaqa`a Al-Ĥaqqu Wa Baţala Mā Kānū Ya`malūna
7:118 So was established the truth, and became futile what they used to do.
118. Fawaqa’al haqqu wa batala maa kaanoo ya’maloon
119. فَغُلِبُوا هُنَالِكَ وَانْقَلَبُوا صَاغِرِينَ
Faghulibū Hunālika Wa Anqalabū Şāghirīna
7:119 So they were defeated there and returned humiliated.
119. Faghuliboo hunaalika wanqalaboo saaghireen
120. وَأُلْقِيَ السَّحَرَةُ سَاجِدِينَ
Wa ‘Ulqiya As-Saĥaratu Sājidīna
7:120 And fell down the magicians prostrate.
120. Wa ulqiyas saharatu saajideen
121. قَالُوا آمَنَّا بِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
Qālū ‘Āmannā Birabbi Al-`Ālamīna
7:121 They said, “We believe in (the) Lord (of) the worlds
121. Qaaloo aamannaa bi Rabbil ‘aalameen
122. رَبِّ مُوسَىٰ وَهَارُونَ
Rabbi Mūsá Wa Hārūna
7:122 Lord (of) Musa and Harun.“
122. Rabbi Moosaa wa Haaroon
123. قَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ آمَنْتُمْ بِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ آذَنَ لَكُمْ ۖ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَمَكْرٌ مَكَرْتُمُوهُ فِي الْمَدِينَةِ لِتُخْرِجُوا مِنْهَا أَهْلَهَا ۖ فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ
Qāla Fir`awnu ‘Āmantum Bihi Qabla ‘An ‘Ādhana Lakum ‘Inna Hādhā Lamakrun Makartumūhu Fī Al-Madīnati Litukhrijū Minhā ‘Ahlahā Fasawfa Ta`lamūna
7:123 Said Firaun, “You believed in him before [that] I give permission to you. Indeed, this (is) surely a plot you have plotted it in the city so that you may drive out from it its people. But soon you will know.
123. Qaala Fir’awnu aamantum bihee qabla an aazana lakum; inna haaza lamakrum makartumoohu filmadeenati litukhrijoo minhaaa ahlahaa fasawfa ta’lamoon
124. لَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ مِنْ خِلَافٍ ثُمَّ لَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
La’uqaţţi`anna ‘Aydiyakum Wa ‘Arjulakum Min Khilāfin Thumma La’uşallibannakum ‘Ajma`īna
7:124 I will surely cut off your hands and your feet of opposite (sides). Then I will surely crucify you all.“
124. La uqatti’anna aidiyakum wa arjulakum min khilaafin summa la usallibannakum ajma’een
125. قَالُوا إِنَّا إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا مُنْقَلِبُونَ
Qālū ‘Innā ‘Ilá Rabbinā Munqalibūna
7:125 They said, “Indeed, we to our Lord (will) return.
125. Qaaloo innaaa ilaa Rabbinaa munqaliboon
126. وَمَا تَنْقِمُ مِنَّا إِلَّا أَنْ آمَنَّا بِآيَاتِ رَبِّنَا لَمَّا جَاءَتْنَا ۚ رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَتَوَفَّنَا مُسْلِمِينَ
Wa Mā Tanqimu Minnā ‘Illā ‘An ‘Āmannā Bi’āyāti Rabbinā Lammā Jā’atnā Rabbanā ‘Afrigh `Alaynā Şabrāan Wa Tawaffanā Muslimīna
7:126 And not you take revenge from us except that we believed in (the) Signs (of) our Lord when they came to us. Our Lord! Pour upon us patience and cause us to die (as) Muslims.”
126. Wa maa tanqimu minnaaa illaaa an aamannaa bi Aayaati Rabbinaa lammaa jaaa’atnaa; Rabbanaaa afrigh ‘alainaa sabranw wa tawaffanaa muslimeen (section 14)
127. وَقَالَ الْمَلَأُ مِنْ قَوْمِ فِرْعَوْنَ أَتَذَرُ مُوسَىٰ وَقَوْمَهُ لِيُفْسِدُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَيَذَرَكَ وَآلِهَتَكَ ۚ قَالَ سَنُقَتِّلُ أَبْنَاءَهُمْ وَنَسْتَحْيِي نِسَاءَهُمْ وَإِنَّا فَوْقَهُمْ قَاهِرُونَ
Wa Qāla Al-Mala’u Min Qawmi Fir`awna ‘Atadharu Mūsá Wa Qawmahu Liyufsidū Fī Al-‘Arđi Wa Yadharaka Wa ‘Ālihataka Qāla Sanuqattilu ‘Abnā’ahum Wa Nastaĥyī Nisā’ahum Wa ‘Innā Fawqahum Qāhirūna
7:127 And said the chiefs of (the) people (of) Firaun, “Will you leave Musa and his people so that they cause corruption in the earth and forsake you and your gods?”He said, “We will kill their sons and we will let live their women, and indeed, we over them (are) subjugators.”
127. Wa qaalal mala-u min qawmi Fir’awna atazaru Moosaa wa qawmahoo liyufsidoo fil ardi wa yazaraka wa aalihatak; qaala sanuqattilu abnaaa ‘ahum wa nastahyee nisaaa’ahum wa innaa fawqahum qaahiroon
128. قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوْمِهِ اسْتَعِينُوا بِاللَّهِ وَاصْبِرُوا ۖ إِنَّ الْأَرْضَ لِلَّهِ يُورِثُهَا مَنْ يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ ۖ وَالْعَاقِبَةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
Qāla Mūsá Liqawmihi Asta`īnū Bil-Lahi Wa Aşbirū ‘Inna Al-‘Arđa Lillahi Yūrithuhā Man Yashā’u Min `Ibādihi Wa Al-`Āqibatu Lilmuttaqīna
7:128 said Musa to his people, “Seek help from Allah and be patient. Indeed, the earth (belongs) to Allah. He causes to inherit it whom He wills of His servants. And the end (is) for the righteous.“
128. Qaala Moosaa liqawmihis ta’eenoo billaahi wasbiroo innal arda lillaahi yoorisuhaa mai yashaaa’u min ‘ibaadihee wal ‘aaqibatu lilmuttaqeen
129. قَالُوا أُوذِينَا مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ تَأْتِيَنَا وَمِنْ بَعْدِ مَا جِئْتَنَا ۚ قَالَ عَسَىٰ رَبُّكُمْ أَنْ يُهْلِكَ عَدُوَّكُمْ وَيَسْتَخْلِفَكُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَيَنْظُرَ كَيْفَ تَعْمَلُونَ
Qālū ‘Ūdhīnā Min Qabli ‘An Ta’tiyanā Wa Min Ba`di Mā Ji’tanā Qāla `Asá Rabbukum ‘An Yuhlika `AdūwakumWa Yastakhlifakum Fī Al-‘Arđi Fayanžura Kayfa Ta`malūna
7:129 They said, “We have been harmed from before [that] you came to us and from after [what] you have come to us.” He said, “Perhaps your Lord [that] will destroy your enemy and make you successors in the earth, then see how you will do.”
129. Qaaloo oozeenaa min qabli an ta’tiyanaa wa mim ba’di maa ji’tanaa; qaala ‘asaa Rabbukum ai yuhlika ‘aduwwakum wa yastakhli fakum fil ardi fayanzura kaifa ta’maloon (section 15)
130. وَلَقَدْ أَخَذْنَا آلَ فِرْعَوْنَ بِالسِّنِينَ وَنَقْصٍ مِنَ الثَّمَرَاتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَذَّكَّرُونَ
Wa Laqad ‘Akhadhnā ‘Āla Fir`awna Bis-Sinīna Wa Naqşin Mina Ath-Thamarāti La`allahum Yadhdhakkarūna
7:130 And certainly, We seized (the) people (of) Firaun with years (of famine) and a deficit of [the] fruits, so that they may receive admonition.
130. Wa laqad akhaznaaa Aala Fir’awna bis sineena wa naqsim minas samaraati la’allahum yazzakkaroon
131. فَإِذَا جَاءَتْهُمُ الْحَسَنَةُ قَالُوا لَنَا هَٰذِهِ ۖ وَإِنْ تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ يَطَّيَّرُوا بِمُوسَىٰ وَمَنْ مَعَهُ ۗ أَلَا إِنَّمَا طَائِرُهُمْ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
Fa’idhā Jā’at/humu Al-Ĥasanatu Qālū Lanā Hadhihi Wa ‘In Tuşibhum Sayyi’atun Yaţţayyarū Bimūsá Wa Man Ma`ahu ‘Alā ‘Innamā Ţā’iruhum `Inda Al-Lahi Wa Lakinna ‘Aktharahum Lā Ya`lamūna
7:131 But when came to them the good they said, “For us is this.” And if afflicts them bad, they ascribe evil omens to Musa and who (were) with him. Behold! Only their evil omens (are) with Allah but most of them (do) not know.
131. Fa izaa jaaa’at humul hasanatu qaaloo lanaa haazihee wa in tusibhum saiyi’atuny yattaiyaroo bi Moosaa wa mam ma’ah; alaaa innamaa taaa’iruhum ‘indal laahi wa laakinna aksarahum laa ya’lamoon
132. وَقَالُوا مَهْمَا تَأْتِنَا بِهِ مِنْ آيَةٍ لِتَسْحَرَنَا بِهَا فَمَا نَحْنُ لَكَ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ
Wa Qālū Mahmā Ta’tinā Bihi Min ‘Āyatin Litasĥaranā Bihā Famā Naĥnu Laka Bimu’uminīna
7:132 And they said, “Whatever you bring us therewith of (the) sign so that you bewitch us with it, then not we (will be) in you believers.”
132. Wa qaaloo mahmaa taatinaa bihee min Aayatil litas’haranaa bihaa famaa nahnu laka bimu’mineen
133. فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ الطُّوفَانَ وَالْجَرَادَ وَالْقُمَّلَ وَالضَّفَادِعَ وَالدَّمَ آيَاتٍ مُفَصَّلَاتٍ فَاسْتَكْبَرُوا وَكَانُوا قَوْمًا مُجْرِمِينَ
Fa’arsalnā `Alayhimu Aţ-Ţūfāna Wa Al-Jarāda Wa Al-Qummala Wa Ađ-Đafādi`a Wa Ad-Dama ‘Āyātin Mufaşşalātin Fāstakbarū Wa Kānū Qawmāan Mujrimīna
7:133 So We sent on them the flood and the locusts and the lice and the frogs and the blood (as) signs manifest, but they showed arrogance and they were a people criminal.
133. Fa arsalnaa ‘alaihimut toofaana waljaraada walqum mala waddafaadi’a waddama Aayaatim mufassalaatin fastakbaroo wa kaanoo qawmam mujrimeen
134. وَلَمَّا وَقَعَ عَلَيْهِمُ الرِّجْزُ قَالُوا يَا مُوسَى ادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ بِمَا عَهِدَ عِنْدَكَ ۖ لَئِنْ كَشَفْتَ عَنَّا الرِّجْزَ لَنُؤْمِنَنَّ لَكَ وَلَنُرْسِلَنَّ مَعَكَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ
Wa Lammā Waqa`a `Alayhimu Ar-Rijzu Qālū Yā Mūsá Ad`u Lanā Rabbaka Bimā `Ahida `Indaka La’in Kashafta `Annā Ar-Rijza Lanu’uminanna LakaWa Lanursilanna Ma`aka Banī ‘Isrā’īla
7:134 And when fell on them the punishment, they said, “O Musa! Invoke for us your Lord by what He has promised to you. If you remove from us the punishment surely, we will believe [for] you and surely, we will send with you (the) Children (of) Israel.”
134. Wa lammaa waqa’a ‘alaihimur rijzu qaaloo ya Moosad-u lanaa rabbaka bimaa ‘ahida ‘indaka la’in kashafta ‘annar rijza lanu ‘minanna laka wa lanursilanna ma’aka Banee Israaa’eel
135. فَلَمَّا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُمُ الرِّجْزَ إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ هُمْ بَالِغُوهُ إِذَا هُمْ يَنْكُثُونَ
Falammā Kashafnā `Anhumu Ar-Rijza ‘Ilá ‘Ajalin Hum Bālighūhu ‘Idhā Hum Yankuthūna
7:135 But when We removed from them the punishment till a (fixed) term (which) they were to reach [it], then, they broke (the word).
135. Falammaa kashafnaa ‘anhumur rijza ilaaa ajalin hum baalighoohu izaa hum yankusoon
136. فَانْتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ فَأَغْرَقْنَاهُمْ فِي الْيَمِّ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا وَكَانُوا عَنْهَا غَافِلِينَ
Fāntaqamnā Minhum Fa’aghraqnāhum Fī Al-Yammi Bi’annahum Kadhdhabū Bi’āyātinā Wa Kānū `Anhā Ghāfilīna
7:136 So We took retribution from them and We drowned them in the sea because they denied Our Signs, and they were to them heedless.
136. Fantaqamnaa minhum fa’aghraqnaahum Fil’yammi Bi Annahum kazzaboo bi Aayaatinaa wa kaanoo ‘anhaa ghaafileen
137. وَأَوْرَثْنَا الْقَوْمَ الَّذِينَ كَانُوا يُسْتَضْعَفُونَ مَشَارِقَ الْأَرْضِ وَمَغَارِبَهَا الَّتِي بَارَكْنَا فِيهَا ۖ وَتَمَّتْ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ الْحُسْنَىٰ عَلَىٰ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ بِمَا صَبَرُوا ۖ وَدَمَّرْنَا مَا كَانَ يَصْنَعُ فِرْعَوْنُ وَقَوْمُهُ وَمَا كَانُوا يَعْرِشُونَ
Wa ‘Awrathnā Al-Qawma Al-Ladhīna Kānū Yustađ`afūna Mashāriqa Al-‘Arđi Wa Maghāribahā Allatī Bāraknā Fīhā Wa Tammat Kalimatu Rabbika Al-Ĥusná `Alá Banī ‘Isrā’īla Bimā Şabarū Wa Dammarnā Mā Kāna Yaşna`u Fir`awnu Wa Qawmuhu Wa Mā KānūYa`rishūna
7:137 And We made inheritors the people those who were considered weak – (the) eastern (parts) (of) the land and the western (parts) of it, which We blessed [in it]. And was fulfilled (the) word (of) your Lord – the best for (the) Children (of) Israel because they were patient. And We destroyed what used to make Firaun and his people, and what they used to erect.
137. Wa awrasnal qawmal lazeena kaanoo yustad’afoona mashaariqal ardi wa maghaari bahal latee baaraknaa feehaa wa tammat kalimatu Rabbikal husnaa ‘alaa Baneee Israaa’eela bimaa sabaroo wa dammarnaa maa kaana yasna’u Fir’awnu wa qawmuhoo wa maa kaanoo ya’rishoon
138. وَجَاوَزْنَا بِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ الْبَحْرَ فَأَتَوْا عَلَىٰ قَوْمٍ يَعْكُفُونَ عَلَىٰ أَصْنَامٍ لَهُمْ ۚ قَالُوا يَا مُوسَى اجْعَلْ لَنَا إِلَٰهًا كَمَا لَهُمْ آلِهَةٌ ۚ قَالَ إِنَّكُمْ قَوْمٌ تَجْهَلُونَ
Wa Jāwaznā Bibanī ‘Isrā’īla Al-Baĥra Fa’ataw `Alá Qawmin Ya`kufūna `Alá ‘Aşnāmin Lahum Qālū Yā Mūsá Aj`al Lanā ‘Ilahāan Kamā Lahum ‘Ālihatun Qāla ‘Innakum Qawmun Tajhalūna
7:138 And We led across (the) Children (of) Israel the sea. Then they came upon a people devoted to idols of theirs. They said, “O Musa! Make for us a god like what they have gods. He said, “Indeed, you (are) a people ignorant.
138. Wa jaawaznaa bi Banneee Israaa’eelal bahra fa ataw ‘alaa qawminy ya’kufoona ‘alaaa asnaamil lahum; qaaloo yaa Moosaj’al lanaa ilaahan kamaa lahum aalihah; qaala innakum qawmun tajhaloon
139. إِنَّ هَٰؤُلَاءِ مُتَبَّرٌ مَا هُمْ فِيهِ وَبَاطِلٌ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
‘Inna Hā’uulā‘ Mutabbarun Mā Hum Fīhi Wa Bāţilun Mā Kānū Ya`malūna
7:139 Indeed these, destroyed (is) what they (are) in it and vain (is) what they used to do.”
139. Innaa haaa’ulaaa’i mutabbarum maa hum feehi wa baatilum maa kaanoo ya’maloon
140. قَالَ أَغَيْرَ اللَّهِ أَبْغِيكُمْ إِلَٰهًا وَهُوَ فَضَّلَكُمْ عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ
Qāla ‘Aghayra Al-Lahi ‘Abghīkum ‘Ilahāan Wa Huwa Fađđalakum `Alá Al-`Ālamīna
7:140 He said, “Should other than Allah I seek for you a god, while He has preferred you over the worlds?”
140. Qaala a-ghairal laahi abgheekum ilaahanw wa Huwa faddalakum ‘alal ‘aalameen
141. وَإِذْ أَنْجَيْنَاكُمْ مِنْ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ يَسُومُونَكُمْ سُوءَ الْعَذَابِ ۖ يُقَتِّلُونَ أَبْنَاءَكُمْ وَيَسْتَحْيُونَ نِسَاءَكُمْ ۚ وَفِي ذَٰلِكُمْ بَلَاءٌ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ عَظِيمٌ
Wa ‘Idh ‘Anjaynākum Min ‘Āli Fir`awna Yasūmūnakum Sū’a Al-`Adhābi Yuqattilūna ‘Abnā’akum Wa Yastaĥyūna Nisā’akum Wa Fī Dhālikum Balā’un Min Rabbikum `Ažīmun
7:141 And when We saved you from (the) people (of) Firaun who were afflicting you (with) worst (of) torment, they were killing your sons and letting live your women. And in that (was) a trial from your Lord great.
141. Wa iz anjainaakum min Aali Fir’awna yasoomoo nakum sooo’al ‘azaab, yuqattiloona abnaaa’akum wa yastahyoona nisaaa’akum; wa fee zaalikum balaaa’um mir Rabbikum ‘azeem (section 16)
142. وَوَاعَدْنَا مُوسَىٰ ثَلَاثِينَ لَيْلَةً وَأَتْمَمْنَاهَا بِعَشْرٍ فَتَمَّ مِيقَاتُ رَبِّهِ أَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً ۚ وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِأَخِيهِ هَارُونَ اخْلُفْنِي فِي قَوْمِي وَأَصْلِحْ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ سَبِيلَ الْمُفْسِدِينَ
Wa Wā`adnā Mūsá Thalāthīna Laylatan Wa ‘Atmamnāhā Bi`ashrin Fatamma Mīqātu Rabbihi ‘Arba`īna Laylatan Wa Qāla Mūsá Li’khīhi Hārūna Akhlufnī Fī Qawmī Wa ‘Aşliĥ Wa Lā Tattabi` Sabīla Al-Mufsidīna
7:142 And We appointed (for) Musa thirty nights and We completed them with ten (more), so was completed (the) set term (of) his Lord (of) forty night(s). And said Musa to his brother Harun, “Take my place in my people, and do right and (do) not follow (the) way (of) the corrupters.”
142. Wa waa’adnaa Moosaa salaaseena lailatanw wa at mamnaahaa bi’ashrim fatamma meeqaatu Rabbihee arba’eena lailah; wa qaala Moosaa liakheehi Haaroonakh lufnee fee qawmee wa aslih wa laa tattabi’ sabeelal mufsideen
143. وَلَمَّا جَاءَ مُوسَىٰ لِمِيقَاتِنَا وَكَلَّمَهُ رَبُّهُ قَالَ رَبِّ أَرِنِي أَنْظُرْ إِلَيْكَ ۚ قَالَ لَنْ تَرَانِي وَلَٰكِنِ انْظُرْ إِلَى الْجَبَلِ فَإِنِ اسْتَقَرَّ مَكَانَهُ فَسَوْفَ تَرَانِي ۚ فَلَمَّا تَجَلَّىٰ رَبُّهُ لِلْجَبَلِ جَعَلَهُ دَكًّا وَخَرَّ مُوسَىٰ صَعِقًا ۚ فَلَمَّا أَفَاقَ قَالَ سُبْحَانَكَ تُبْتُ إِلَيْكَ وَأَنَا أَوَّلُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Wa Lammā Jā’a Mūsá Limīqātinā Wa Kallamahu Rabbuhu Qāla Rabbi ‘Arinī ‘Anžur ‘Ilayka Qāla Lan Tarānī Wa Lakini Anžur ‘Ilá Al-Jabali Fa’ini Astaqarra Makānahu Fasawfa Tarānī Falammā Tajallá Rabbuhu Liljabali Ja`alahu Dakkāan Wa Kharra Mūsá Şa`iqāan Falammā ‘Afāqa Qāla Subĥānaka Tubtu ‘Ilayka Wa ‘Anā ‘Awwalu Al-Mu’uminīna
7:143 And when came Musa to Our appointed place and spoke to him his Lord, he said, “O my Lord! Show me (that) I may look at You.” He said, “Never you (can) see Me, but look at the mountain [then] if it remains in its place then you see Me.” But when revealed (His) Glory his Lord to the mountain, He made it crumbled to dust and fell down Musa unconscious. And when he recovered he said, “Glory be to You!  I turn (in repentance) to you, and I am (the) first (of) the believers.“
