Steps to Memorize The Holy Quran Ayah by Ayah:
Step 1: Play Each Ayah Step 2: Repeat After or With It Step 3: Memorize Each Ayah Step 4: Then Proceed with Next Ayah & Repeat Step 1 to 3 For All Ayahs.
Play Each Ayah & Repeat (as many times as needed) After or With it in a similar tone (qiraat) and pronunciation (tajweed) until you have Memorized the Ayah, after you have memorized the Ayah, play and repeat the Next Ayah, do this until you have In Sha Allah memorized all the Ayahs (i.e., verses) in the entire Surah. Make sure to also Read, Understand and Learn the Translation of the Surah inorder to get a better understanding of the Surah you are Memorizing or Reading.

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
وَٱلْعَـٰدِيَـٰتِ ضَبْحًا
Ayah/Verse 1: wal-ʿādiyāti ḍabḥan
Meaning: By the racers (i.e., warrior horses) panting (i.e., breathing heavily)
[Wal’aadi yaati dabha]
فَٱلْمُورِيَـٰتِ قَدْحًا
Ayah/Verse 2: fal-mūriyāti qadḥan
Meaning: and the producers of sparks when striking (i.e., igniting fire with their hooves)
[Fal moori yaati qadha]
فَٱلْمُغِيرَٰتِ صُبْحًا
Ayah/Verse 3: fal-mughīrāti ṣub’ḥan
Meaning: and the raiders at dawn (i.e., early morning)
[Fal mugheeraati subha]
فَأَثَرْنَ بِهِۦ نَقْعًا
Ayah/Verse 4: fa-atharna bihi naqʿan
Meaning: and raising thereby ˹clouds of˺ dust
[Fa atharna bihee naq’a]
فَوَسَطْنَ بِهِۦ جَمْعًا
Ayah/Verse 5: fawasaṭna bihi jamʿan
Meaning: and penetrating in the center ˹of the enemy˺ thereby collectively
[Fawa satna bihee jam’a]
إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ لِرَبِّهِۦ لَكَنُودٌ
Ayah/Verse 6: inna l-insāna lirabbihi lakanūdun
Meaning: Indeed, the human being is surely ungrateful to his Lord ˹Allah˺
[Innal-insana lirabbihee lakanood]
وَإِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ لَشَهِيدٌ
Ayah/Verse 7: wa-innahu ʿalā dhālika lashahīdun
Meaning: and indeed, he (i.e., human being) is surely a witness on that
[Wa innahu ‘alaa zaalika la shaheed]
وَإِنَّهُۥ لِحُبِّ ٱلْخَيْرِ لَشَدِيدٌ
Ayah/Verse 8: wa-innahu liḥubbi l-khayri lashadīdun
Meaning: and indeed, he (i.e., human being) is surely intense in the love of the wealth
[Wa innahu lihubbil khairi la shadeed]
۞ أَفَلَا يَعْلَمُ إِذَا بُعْثِرَ مَا فِى ٱلْقُبُورِ
Ayah/Verse 9: afalā yaʿlamu idhā buʿ’thira mā fī l-qubūri
Meaning: So does he (i.e., human being) not know ˹that˺, when what are in the graves (i.e., the contents) are spilled out
[Afala ya’lamu iza b’uthira ma filquboor]
وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِى ٱلصُّدُورِ
Ayah/Verse 10: waḥuṣṣila mā fī l-ṣudūri
Meaning: and what is in the chests (i.e., secrets of the hearts) is obtained
[Wa hussila maa fis sudoor]
إِنَّ رَبَّهُم بِهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّخَبِيرٌۢ
Ayah/Verse 11: inna rabbahum bihim yawma-idhin lakhabīrun
Meaning: Indeed, their Lord ˹Allah˺ about them that Day is surely All-Aware
[Inna rabbahum bihim yauma ‘izin lakhabeer]
The Surah has been so entitled after the word al `adiyat with which it opens.

Period of Revelation
Whether it is a Makki or a Madani Surah is disputed. Hadrat Abdullah bin Masud, Jabir, Hasan Basri, Ikrimah, and Ata say that it is Makki. Hadrat Anas bin Malik, and Qatadah say that it is Madani; and from Hadrat Ibn Abbas two views have been reported, first that it is a Makki Surah, and second that it is Madani. But the subject matter of the Surah and its style clearly indicate that it is no only Makki but was revealed in the earliest stage of Makkah.
Theme and Subject Matter
Its object is to make the people realize how evil man becomes when he denies the Hereafter, or becomes heedless of it, and also to warn them that in the Hereafter not only their visible and apparent deeds but even the secrets hidden in their hearts too will be subjected to scrutiny.
For this purpose the general chaos and confusion prevailing in Arabia, with which the whole country was in turmoil, has been presented as an argument. Bloodshed, loot and plunder raged on every side. Tribes were subjecting tribes to raids, and no one could have peaceful sleep at night from fear that some enemy tribe might raid his settlement early in the morning. Every Arab was fully conscious of this state of affairs and realized that it was wrong. Although the plundered bemoaned his miserable, helpless state and the plunderer rejoiced, yet when the plunderer himself was plundered, he too realized how abject was the condition in which the whole nation was involved. Referring to this very state of affairs, it has been said, Unaware of the second life after death and his accountability before God in it, man has become ungrateful to his Lord and Sustainer. He is using the powers and abilities given by God for perpetrating tyranny and pillage; blinded by the love of worldly wealth he tries to obtain it by every means, however impure and filthy, and his own state itself testifies that by abusing the powers bestowed by his Lord he is being ungrateful to Him. He would never have behaved so, had he known the time when the dead will be raised from the graves, and when the intentions and motives with which he had done all sorts of deeds in the world, will be exposed and brought out before everyone to see. At that time the Lord and Sustainer of men shall be well informed of what one had done and what punishment or reward one deserved.

HOLY QURAN: REVELATION PERIOD
The Holy Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammed (May Peace and Blessings be Upon Him) over the span of 23 years. The revelation of the Quran Started in the Holy Month of Ramadan. The period of revelation of The Holy Quran can be categorized into 2 main parts, that’s is the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)’s life in Makkah that is 13 years and after His (PBUH) migration to Madinah that is 10 years. Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) received the first revelation in Cave of Hira.

HOLY QURAN: PRESERVATION
To ease the recitation and memorization of The Quran, it has been divided in to 30 equal parts/portions called the “Juz” or “Siparah”. The Chapters/Surahs of The Holy Quran were arranged in the present order by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) himself though there was no compiled copy of Quran during Prophet’s life and Sahaba (companions of the prophets) memorized the verses of Quran by heart or scribed the verses on stones, animal skin or palm tree.
WHAT IS THE MEANING BETWEEN TRANSLATION OF THE QURAN AND THE QURAN IN ARABIC LANGUAGE?
The translations of Quran were written to explain the meaning of the Quran in Non-Arabic languages so that the reader can understand the meaning of the Quran in their respective languages.
However, translations are written by various individuals, authors, or translators. One must understand that Quran translations are written by different people and different people have different selection of words to explain the terminologies from Arabic to their respective language. Therefore, translations are a mere effort to explain the meaning of the Holy Quran. On final notes, a translation must only be read for understanding purposes as the true word of Allah is The Holy Quran in Arabic Language Only.
WHAT IS A TAFSEER OF THE HOLY QURAN?
The word ‘tafsir’ stems from the root word ‘fassara’, which means to explain. Therefore, Tafsir of Quran means the explanation or interpretations of the verses of Quran. The Tafsir of Quran is done by people after obtaining in-depth extensive knowledge about Islam and reading the history of Islam in detail. The objective of a Tafsir is to find out the true meanings of the verses of Quran, so that the reader can benefit from it and know the right and true message of The Holy Quran.
WHY TAFSIR:
It tries to explain Quran so that the understanding of the reader about Quran and its message increases. Where the Translation only provides a word to word meaning of the Holy Quran, TAFSIR on the other end explains a more detailed meaning of the verses and words in the Quran with context and references, it also explains of the revelation period thereby increasing the understanding of the Quran in a greater detail.
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TRANSLATION VS TAFSIR
TRANSLATION: is a word-to-word explanation of the Quran from Arabic Language (i.e., the original languages it was revealed) to other non-Arabic languages to simplify the understanding of the Holy Quran for the reader.
TAFSIR: is a detailed explanation of the verses of the Quran with context, explanation, reference to get a deeper understanding of the Holy Quran.
On a final note, the beginner should start reading the translation first and then if there is a particular chapter/surah or verse/ayah or word that you do not understand in the translation, then you must refer to the TAFSIR for further explanation.
