26:1 Ta Seem Meem.
1. Taa-Seeen-Meeem
2. تِلْكَ آيَاتُ الْكِتَابِ الْمُبِينِ
Tilka ‘Āyātu Al-Kitābi Al-Mubīni
26:2 These (are the) Verses (of) the Book clear.
2. Tilka Aayaatul Kitaabil Mubeen
3. لَعَلَّكَ بَاخِعٌ نَفْسَكَ أَلَّا يَكُونُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ
La`allaka Bākhi`un Nafsaka ‘Allā Yakūnū Mu’uminīna
26:3 Perhaps you (would) kill yourself that not they become believers.
3. La’allaka baakhi’un nafsaka allaa yakoonoo mu’mineen
4. إِنْ نَشَأْ نُنَزِّلْ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ آيَةً فَظَلَّتْ أَعْنَاقُهُمْ لَهَا خَاضِعِينَ
‘In Nasha‘ Nunazzil `Alayhim Mina As-Samā’i ‘Āyatan Fažallat ‘A`nāquhum Lahā Khāđi`īna
26:4 If We will, We can send down to them from the sky a Sign so would bend their necks to it (in) humility.
4. In nashaa nunazzil ‘alaihim minas samaaa’i Aayatan fazallat a’naaquhum lahaa khaadi’een
5. وَمَا يَأْتِيهِمْ مِنْ ذِكْرٍ مِنَ الرَّحْمَٰنِ مُحْدَثٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا عَنْهُ مُعْرِضِينَ
Wa Mā Ya’tīhim Min Dhikrin Mina Ar-Raĥmāni Muĥdathin ‘Illā Kānū `Anhu Mu`riđīna
26:5 And (does) not come to them any reminder from the Most Gracious new, but they from it turn away.
5. Wa maa yaateehim min zikrim minar Rahmaani muhdasin illaa kaanoo ‘anhu mu’rideen
6. فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوا فَسَيَأْتِيهِمْ أَنْبَاءُ مَا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ
Faqad Kadhdhabū Fasaya’tīhim ‘Anbā’u Mā Kānū Bihi Yastahzi’ūn
26:6 So verily, they have denied, then will come to them the news (of) what they used at it (to) mock.
6. Faqad kazzaboo fasa yaateehim ambaaa’u maa kaanoo bihee yastahzi’oon
7. أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا إِلَى الْأَرْضِ كَمْ أَنْبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِنْ كُلِّ زَوْجٍ كَرِيمٍ
‘Awalam Yaraw ‘Ilá Al-‘Arđi Kam ‘Anbatnā Fīhā Min Kulli Zawjin Karīmin
26:7 Do not they see at the earth – how many We produced in it of every kind noble.
7. Awa lam yaraw ilal ardi kam ambatnaa feehaa min kulli zawjin kareem
8. إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
‘Inna Fī Dhālika La’āyatan Wa Mā Kāna ‘Aktharuhum Mu’uminīna
26:8 Indeed, in that surely (is) a sign, but not are most of them believers.
8. Inna fee zaalika la Aayah; wa maa kaana aksaruhum mu’mineen
9. وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ
Wa ‘Inna Rabbaka Lahuwa Al-`Azīzu Ar-Raĥīmu
26:9 And indeed your Lord, surely, He (is) the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful.
9. Wa inna Rabbaka la Huwal ‘Azeezur Raheem (section 1)
10. وَإِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبُّكَ مُوسَىٰ أَنِ ائْتِ الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ
Wa ‘Idh Nādá Rabbuka Mūsá ‘Ani A’ti Al-Qawma Až-Žālimīna
26:10 And when called your Lord Musa, [that], “Go (to) the people (who are) wrongdoers
10. Wa iz naadaa Rabbuka Moosaaa ani’-til qawmaz zaalimeen
11. قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ ۚ أَلَا يَتَّقُونَ
Qawma Fir`awna ‘Alā Yattaqūna
26:11 (The) people (of) Firaun. Will not they fear?”
11. Qawma Fir’awn; alaa yattaqoon
12. قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ يُكَذِّبُونِ
Qāla Rabbi ‘Innī ‘Akhāfu ‘An Yukadhdhibūni
26:12 He said, “My Lord! Indeed, I [I] fear that they will deny me.
12. Qaala Rabbi inneee akhaafu ai yukazziboon
13. وَيَضِيقُ صَدْرِي وَلَا يَنْطَلِقُ لِسَانِي فَأَرْسِلْ إِلَىٰ هَارُونَ
Wa Yađīqu Şadrī Wa Lā Yanţaliqu Lisānī Fa’arsil ‘Ilá Hārūna
26:13 And straitens my breast and not expresses well my tongue, so send for Harun.
13. Wa yadeequ sadree wa laa yantaliqu lisaanee fa arsil ilaa Haaroon
14. وَلَهُمْ عَلَيَّ ذَنْبٌ فَأَخَافُ أَنْ يَقْتُلُونِ
Wa Lahum `Alayya Dhanbun Fa’akhāfu ‘An Yaqtulūni
26:14 And they have against me a crime, so I fear that they will kill me.”
14. Wa lahum ‘alaiya zambun fa akhaafu ai yaqtuloon
15. قَالَ كَلَّا ۖ فَاذْهَبَا بِآيَاتِنَا ۖ إِنَّا مَعَكُمْ مُسْتَمِعُونَ
Qāla Kallā Fādh/habā Bi’āyātinā ‘Innā Ma`akum Mustami`ūna
26:15 He said, “Nay, go both of you with Our Signs. Indeed, We (are) with you, listening.
15. Qaala kallaa fazhabaa bi Aayaatinaaa innaa ma’akum mustami’oon
16. فَأْتِيَا فِرْعَوْنَ فَقُولَا إِنَّا رَسُولُ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
Fa’tiyā Fir`awna Faqūlā ‘Innā Rasūlu Rabbi Al-`Ālamīna
26:16 So go both of you (to) Firaun and say, ‘Indeed, we (are the) Messenger (of the) Lord (of) the worlds
16. Faatiyaa Fir’awna faqoolaaa innaa Rasoolu Rabbil ‘aalameen
17. أَنْ أَرْسِلْ مَعَنَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ
‘An ‘Arsil Ma`anā Banī ‘Isrā’īla
26:17 [That] send with us (the) Children (of) Israel.'”
17. An arsil ma’anaa Baneee Israaa’eel
18. قَالَ أَلَمْ نُرَبِّكَ فِينَا وَلِيدًا وَلَبِثْتَ فِينَا مِنْ عُمُرِكَ سِنِينَ
Qāla ‘Alam Nurabbika Fīnā Walīdāan Wa Labithta Fīnā Min `Umurika Sinīna
26:18 He said, “Did not we bring you up among us (as) a child, and you remained among us of your life years?
18. Qaala alam nurabbika feenaa waleedanw wa labista feenaa min ‘umurika sineen
19. وَفَعَلْتَ فَعْلَتَكَ الَّتِي فَعَلْتَ وَأَنْتَ مِنَ الْكَافِرِينَ
Wa Fa`alta Fa`lataka Allatī Fa`alta Wa ‘Anta Mina Al-Kāfirīna
26:19 And you did your deed which you did, and you (were) of the ungrateful.”
19. Wa fa’alta fa’latakal latee fa’alta wa anta minal kaafireen
20. قَالَ فَعَلْتُهَا إِذًا وَأَنَا مِنَ الضَّالِّينَ
Qāla Fa`altuhā ‘Idhāan Wa ‘Anā Mina Ađ-Đāllīn
26:20 He said, “I did it when I (was) of those who are astray.
20. Qaala fa’altuhaaa izanw wa ana minad daaaleen
21. فَفَرَرْتُ مِنْكُمْ لَمَّا خِفْتُكُمْ فَوَهَبَ لِي رَبِّي حُكْمًا وَجَعَلَنِي مِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
Fafarartu Minkum Lammā Khiftukum Fawahaba Lī Rabbī Ĥukmāan Wa Ja`alanī Mina Al-Mursalīna
26:21 So I fled from you when I feared you. But granted to me my Lord, judgment and made me of the Messengers.
21. Fafarartu minkum lam maa khiftukum fawahaba lee Rabbee hukmanw wa ja’alanee minal mursaleen
22. وَتِلْكَ نِعْمَةٌ تَمُنُّهَا عَلَيَّ أَنْ عَبَّدْتَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ
Wa Tilka Ni`matun Tamunnuhā `Alayya ‘An `Abbadta Banī ‘Isrā’īla
26:22 And this (is the) favor with which you reproach [on] me, that you have enslaved (the) Children (of) Israel.'”
22. Wa tilka ni’matun tamun nuhaa ‘alaiya an ‘abbatta Baneee Israaa’eel
23. قَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَا رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ
Qāla Fir`awnu Wa Mā Rabbu Al-`Ālamīna
26:23 said Firaun “And what (is the) Lord (of) the worlds?”
23. Qaala Fir’awnu wa maa Rabbul ‘aalameen
24. قَالَ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۖ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُوقِنِينَ
Qāla Rabbu As-Samāwāti Wa Al-‘Arđi Wa Mā Baynahumā ‘In Kuntum Mūqinīna
26:24 He said, “Lord (of) the heavens and the earth and whatever (is) between them, if you (should) be convinced.”
24. Qaala Rabbus samaawaati wal ardi wa maa bainahumaa in kuntum mooqineen
25. قَالَ لِمَنْ حَوْلَهُ أَلَا تَسْتَمِعُونَ
Qāla Liman Ĥawlahu ‘Alā Tastami`ūna
26:25 He said to those around him, “Do not you hear?”
25. Qaala liman hawlahooo alaa tastami’oon
26. قَالَ رَبُّكُمْ وَرَبُّ آبَائِكُمُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
Qāla Rabbukum Wa Rabbu ‘Ābā’ikumu Al-‘Awwalīna
26:26 He said, “Your Lord and (the) Lord (of) your forefathers (of) the former (people).
26. Qaala Rabbukum wa Rabbu aabaaa’ikumul awwaleen
27. قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَكُمُ الَّذِي أُرْسِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ لَمَجْنُونٌ
Qāla ‘Inna Rasūlakumu Al-Ladhī ‘Ursila ‘Ilaykum Lamajnūnun
26:27 He said, “Indeed, your Messenger who has been sent to you (is) surely mad.“
27. Qaala inna Rasoolakumul lazee ursila ilaikum lamajnoon
28. قَالَ رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۖ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ
Qāla Rabbu Al-Mashriqi Wa Al-Maghribi Wa Mā Baynahumā ‘In Kuntum Ta`qilūna
26:28 He said, “Lord (of) the east and the west and whatever (is) between them, if you were (to) reason.”
28. Qaala Rabbul mashriqi wal maghribi wa maa baina humaa in kuntum ta’qiloon
29. قَالَ لَئِنِ اتَّخَذْتَ إِلَٰهًا غَيْرِي لَأَجْعَلَنَّكَ مِنَ الْمَسْجُونِينَ
Qāla La’ini Attakhadhta ‘Ilahāan Ghayrī La’aj`alannaka Mina Al-Masjūnīna
26:29 He said, “If you take a god other than me, I will surely make you among those imprisoned.“
29. Qaala la’init takhazta ilaahan ghairee la aj’alannaka minal masjooneen
30. قَالَ أَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكَ بِشَيْءٍ مُبِينٍ
Qāla ‘Awalaw Ji’tuka Bishay’in Mubīnin
26:30 He said, “Even if I bring you something manifest?”
30. Qaala awalaw ji’tuka bishai’im mubeen
31. قَالَ فَأْتِ بِهِ إِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ
Qāla Fa’ti Bihi ‘In Kunta Mina Aş-Şādiqīna
26:31 He said, “Then bring it, if you are of the truthful.“
31. Qaala faati biheee in kunta minas saadiqeen
32. فَأَلْقَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِيَ ثُعْبَانٌ مُبِينٌ
Fa’alqá `Aşāhu Fa’idhā Hiya Thu`bānun Mubīnun
26:32 So he threw his staff and behold! It (was) a serpent, manifest.
32. Fa alqaa ‘asaahu fa izaaa hiya su’baanum mubeen
33. وَنَزَعَ يَدَهُ فَإِذَا هِيَ بَيْضَاءُ لِلنَّاظِرِينَ
Wa Naza`a Yadahu Fa’idhā Hiya Bayđā’u Lilnnāžirīna
26:33 And he drew out his hand and behold! It (was) white for the observers.
33. Wa naza’a yadahoo faizaa hiya baidaaa’u linnaa zireen (section 2)
34. قَالَ لِلْمَلَإِ حَوْلَهُ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَسَاحِرٌ عَلِيمٌ
Qāla Lilmala’i Ĥawlahu ‘Inna Hādhā Lasāĥirun `Alīmun
26:34 He said to the chiefs around him, “Indeed, this (is) surely a magician learned.
34. Qaala lilmala-i hawlahooo inna haazaa lasaahirun ‘aleem
35. يُرِيدُ أَنْ يُخْرِجَكُمْ مِنْ أَرْضِكُمْ بِسِحْرِهِ فَمَاذَا تَأْمُرُونَ
Yurīdu ‘An Yukhrijakum Min ‘Arđikum Bisiĥrihi Famādhā Ta’murūna
26:35 He wants to drive you out from your land by his magic, so what (do) you advise?”
35. Yureedu ai yukhrijakum min ardikum bisihrihee famaazaa taamuroon
36. قَالُوا أَرْجِهْ وَأَخَاهُ وَابْعَثْ فِي الْمَدَائِنِ حَاشِرِينَ
Qālū ‘Arjihi Wa ‘Akhāhu Wa Ab`ath Fī Al-Madā’ini Ĥāshirīna
26:36 They said, “Postpone him and his brother, and send in the cities gatherers –
36. Qaalooo arjih wa akhaahu wab’as filmadaaa’ini haashireen
37. يَأْتُوكَ بِكُلِّ سَحَّارٍ عَلِيمٍ
Ya’tūka Bikulli Saĥĥārin `Alīmin
26:37 They (will) bring to you every magician, learned.”
37. Yaatooka bikulli sah haarin ‘aleem
38. فَجُمِعَ السَّحَرَةُ لِمِيقَاتِ يَوْمٍ مَعْلُومٍ
Fajumi`a As-Saĥaratu Limīqāti Yawmin Ma`lūmin
26:38 So were assembled the magicians for (the) appointment (on) a day well-known.
38. Fa jumi’as saharatu limeeqaati Yawmim ma’loom
39. وَقِيلَ لِلنَّاسِ هَلْ أَنْتُمْ مُجْتَمِعُونَ
Wa Qīla Lilnnāsi Hal ‘Antum Mujtami`ūna
26:39 And it was said to the people, “Will you assemble
39. Wa qeela linnaasi hal antum mujtami’oon
40. لَعَلَّنَا نَتَّبِعُ السَّحَرَةَ إِنْ كَانُوا هُمُ الْغَالِبِينَ
La`allanā Nattabi`u As-Saĥarata ‘In Kānū Humu Al-Ghālibīna
26:40 That we may follow the magicians if they are the victorious?”
40. La’allanaa nattabi’us saharata in kaanoo humul ghaalibeen
41. فَلَمَّا جَاءَ السَّحَرَةُ قَالُوا لِفِرْعَوْنَ أَئِنَّ لَنَا لَأَجْرًا إِنْ كُنَّا نَحْنُ الْغَالِبِينَ
Falammā Jā’a As-Saĥaratu Qālū Lifir`awna ‘A’inna Lanā La’ajrāan ‘In Kunnā Naĥnu Al-Ghālibīna
26:41 So when came the magicians, they said to Firaun, “Is there for us a reward if we are the victorious?”
41. Falammaa jaaa’as saharatu qaaloo li Fir’awna a’inna lanaa la ajjran in kunnaa nahnul ghaalibeen
42. قَالَ نَعَمْ وَإِنَّكُمْ إِذًا لَمِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ
Qāla Na`am Wa ‘Innakum ‘Idhāan Lamina Al-Muqarrabīna
26:42 He said, “Yes, and indeed you then surely (will be) of the ones who are brought near.”
42. Qaala na’am wa innakum izal laminal muqarrabeen
43. قَالَ لَهُمْ مُوسَىٰ أَلْقُوا مَا أَنْتُمْ مُلْقُونَ
Qāla Lahum Mūsá ‘Alqū Mā ‘Antum Mulqūna
26:43 Said to them Musa. “Throw what you (are) going to throw.”
43. Qaala lahum Moosaaa alqoo maaa antum mulqoon
44. فَأَلْقَوْا حِبَالَهُمْ وَعِصِيَّهُمْ وَقَالُوا بِعِزَّةِ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّا لَنَحْنُ الْغَالِبُونَ
Fa’alqaw Ĥibālahum Wa `Işīyahum Wa Qālū Bi`izzati Fir`awna ‘Innā Lanaĥnu Al-Ghālibūna
26:44 So they threw their ropes and their staffs and said, “By the might (of) Firaun, indeed, we surely, we (are) the victorious.”
44. Fa alqaw hibaalahum wa ‘isiyyahum wa qaaloo bi’izzati Fir’awna innaa lanahnul ghaaliboon
45. فَأَلْقَىٰ مُوسَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ
Fa’alqá Mūsá `Aşāhu Fa’idhā Hiya Talqafu Mā Ya’fikūna
26:45 Then threw Musa his staff and behold! It swallowed what they falsified.
45. Fa alqaa Moosaa ‘asaahu fa izaa hiya talqafu maa yaafikoon
46. فَأُلْقِيَ السَّحَرَةُ سَاجِدِينَ
Fa’ulqiya As-Saĥaratu Sājidīna
26:46 Then fell down the magicians prostrate.
46. Fa ulqiyas saharatu saajideen
47. قَالُوا آمَنَّا بِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
Qālū ‘Āmannā Birabbi Al-`Ālamīna
26:47 They said, “We believe in (the) Lord (of) the worlds,
47. Qaalooo aamannaa bi Rabbil ‘aalameen
48. رَبِّ مُوسَىٰ وَهَارُونَ
Rabbi Mūsá Wa Hārūna
26:48 Lord (of) Musa and Harun.”
48. Rabbi Moosaa wa Haaroon
49. قَالَ آمَنْتُمْ لَهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ آذَنَ لَكُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُ لَكَبِيرُكُمُ الَّذِي عَلَّمَكُمُ السِّحْرَ فَلَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ ۚ لَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ مِنْ خِلَافٍ وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
Qāla ‘Āmantum Lahu Qabla ‘An ‘Ādhana Lakum ‘Innahu Lakabīrukumu Al-Ladhī `Allamakumu As-Siĥra Falasawfa Ta`lamūna La’uqaţţi`anna ‘Aydiyakum Wa ‘Arjulakum Min Khilāfin Wa La’uşallibannakum ‘Ajma`īna
26:49 He said, “You believed in him before [that] I gave permission to you. Indeed, he (is) surely your chief who has taught you the magic, so surely soon you will know. I will surely cut off your hands and your feet of opposite sides, and I will surely crucify you all.”
49. Qaala aamantum lahoo qabla an aazana lakum innahoo lakabeerukumul lazee ‘alla makumus sihra falasawfa ta’lamoon; la uqatti’anna aidiyakum wa arjulakum min khilaafinw wa la usallibanna kum ajma’een
50. قَالُوا لَا ضَيْرَ ۖ إِنَّا إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا مُنْقَلِبُونَ
Qālū Lā Đayra ‘Innā ‘Ilá Rabbinā Munqalibūna
26:50 They said, “No harm. Indeed, we to our Lord (will) return.
50. Qaaloo la daira innaaa ilaa Rabbinaa munqalliboon
51. إِنَّا نَطْمَعُ أَنْ يَغْفِرَ لَنَا رَبُّنَا خَطَايَانَا أَنْ كُنَّا أَوَّلَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
‘Innā Naţma`u ‘An Yaghfira Lanā Rabbunā Khaţāyānā ‘An Kunnā ‘Awwala Al-Mu’uminīna
26:51 Indeed, we hope that will forgive us our Lord our sins, because we are (the) first (of) the believers.“
51. Innaa natma’u ai yaghfira lanaa Rabbunaa khataa yaanaaa an kunnaaa awwalal mu’mineen (section 3)
52. وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ أَنْ أَسْرِ بِعِبَادِي إِنَّكُمْ مُتَّبَعُونَ
Wa ‘Awĥaynā ‘Ilá Mūsá ‘An ‘Asri Bi`ibādī ‘Innakum Muttaba`ūna
26:52 And We inspired to Musa, [that] “Travel by night with My slaves, indeed, you (will be) followed.”
52. Wa awhainaaa ilaa Moosaaa an asri bi’ibaadeee innakum muttaba’oon
53. فَأَرْسَلَ فِرْعَوْنُ فِي الْمَدَائِنِ حَاشِرِينَ
Fa’arsala Fir`awnu Fī Al-Madā’ini Ĥāshirīna
26:53 Then sent Firaun in the cities gatherers,
53. Fa arsala Fir’awnu filmadaaa’ini haashireen
54. إِنَّ هَٰؤُلَاءِ لَشِرْذِمَةٌ قَلِيلُونَ
‘Inna Hā’uulā’ Lashirdhimatun Qalīlūna
26:54 “Indeed, these (are) certainly a band small
54. Inna haaa’ulaaa’i lashir zimatun qaleeloon
55. وَإِنَّهُمْ لَنَا لَغَائِظُونَ
Wa ‘Innahum Lanā Laghā’ižūna
26:55 And indeed, they [to] us (are) surely enraging,
55. Wa innahum lanaa laghaaa’izoon
56. وَإِنَّا لَجَمِيعٌ حَاذِرُونَ
Wa ‘Innā Lajamī`un Ĥādhirūna
26:56 And indeed, we (are) surely a multitude forewarned.”
56. Wa innaa lajamee’un haaziroon
57. فَأَخْرَجْنَاهُمْ مِنْ جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
Fa’akhrajnāhum Min Jannātin Wa `Uyūnin
26:57 So We expelled them from gardens and springs,
57. Fa akhrajnaahum min Jannaatinw wa ‘uyoon
58. وَكُنُوزٍ وَمَقَامٍ كَرِيمٍ
Wa Kunūzin Wa Maqāmin Karīmin
26:58 And treasures and a place honorable,
58. Wa kunoozinw wa ma qaamin kareem
59. كَذَٰلِكَ وَأَوْرَثْنَاهَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ
Kadhālika Wa ‘Awrathnāhā Banī ‘Isrā’īla
26:59 Thus. And We caused to inherit them (the) Children (of) Israel.
59. Kazaalika wa awrasnaahaa Baneee Israaa’eel
60. فَأَتْبَعُوهُمْ مُشْرِقِينَ
Fa’atba`ūhum Mushriqīna
26:60 So they followed them (at) sunrise.
60. Fa atba’oohum mushriqeen
61. فَلَمَّا تَرَاءَى الْجَمْعَانِ قَالَ أَصْحَابُ مُوسَىٰ إِنَّا لَمُدْرَكُونَ
Falammā Tarā’á Al-Jam`āni Qāla ‘Aşĥābu Mūsá ‘Innā Lamudrakūna
26:61 Then when saw each other the two hosts, said (the) companions (of) Musa, “Indeed, we (are) surely to be overtaken.“
61. Falammaa taraaa’al jam’aani qaala as haabu Moosaaa innaa lamudrakoon
62. قَالَ كَلَّا ۖ إِنَّ مَعِيَ رَبِّي سَيَهْدِينِ
Qāla Kallā ‘Inna Ma`iya Rabbī Sayahdīni
26:62 He said, “Nay, indeed, with me (is) my Lord, He will guide me.“
62. Qaala kallaaa inna ma’iya Rabbee sa yahdeen
63. فَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ أَنِ اضْرِبْ بِعَصَاكَ الْبَحْرَ ۖ فَانْفَلَقَ فَكَانَ كُلُّ فِرْقٍ كَالطَّوْدِ الْعَظِيمِ
Fa’awĥaynā ‘Ilá Mūsá ‘Ani Ađrib Bi`aşāka Al-Baĥra Fānfalaqa Fakāna Kullu Firqin Kālţţawdi Al-`Ažīmi
26:63 Then We inspired to Musa, [that] “Strike with your staff the sea.” So it parted and became each part like the mountain [the] great.
63. Fa awhainaaa ilaa Moosaaa anidrib bi’asaakal bahra fanfalaqa fakaana kullu firqin kattawdil ‘azeem
64. وَأَزْلَفْنَا ثَمَّ الْآخَرِينَ
Wa ‘Azlafnā Thamma Al-‘Ākharīna
26:64 And We brought near there, the others.
64. Wa azlafnaa sammal aakhareen
65. وَأَنْجَيْنَا مُوسَىٰ وَمَنْ مَعَهُ أَجْمَعِينَ
Wa ‘Anjaynā Mūsá Wa Man Ma`ahu ‘Ajma`īna
26:65 And We saved Musa and who (were) with him all.
65. Wa anjainaa Moosaa wa mam ma’ahooo ajma’een
66. ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا الْآخَرِينَ
Thumma ‘Aghraqnā Al-‘Ākharīna
26:66 Then We drowned the others.
66. Summa aghraqnal aakhareen
67. إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
‘Inna Fī Dhālika La’āyatan Wa Mā Kāna ‘Aktharuhum Mu’uminīna
26:67 Indeed, in that surely (is) a Sign, but not are most of them believers.
67. Inna fee zaalika la Aayaah; wa maa kaana aksaru hu mu’mineen
68. وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ
Wa ‘Inna Rabbaka Lahuwa Al-`Azīzu Ar-Raĥīmu
26:68 And indeed, your Lord, surely He (is) the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful.
68. Wa inna Rabbaka la Huwal ‘Azeezur Raheem (section 4)
69. وَاتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ
Wa Atlu `Alayhim Naba’a ‘Ibrāhīma
26:69 And recite to them (the) news (of) Ibrahim,
69. Watlu ‘alaihim naba-a Ibraaheem
70. إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ
‘Idh Qāla Li’abīhi Wa Qawmihi Mā Ta`budūna
26:70 When he said to his father and his people, “What (do) you worship?”
70. Iz qaala li abeehi wa qawmihee maa ta’budoon
71. قَالُوا نَعْبُدُ أَصْنَامًا فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عَاكِفِينَ
Qālū Na`budu ‘Aşnāmāan Fanažallu Lahā `Ākifīna
26:71 They said, “We worship idols, so we will remain to them devoted.”
71. Qaaloo na’budu asnaaman fanazallu lahaa ‘aakifeen
72. قَالَ هَلْ يَسْمَعُونَكُمْ إِذْ تَدْعُونَ
Qāla Hal Yasma`ūnakum ‘Idh Tad`ūna
26:72 He said, “Do they hear you when you call?
72. Qaala hal yasma’oona kum iz tad’oon
73. أَوْ يَنْفَعُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَضُرُّونَ
‘Aw Yanfa`ūnakum ‘Aw Yađurrūna
26:73 Or (do) they benefit you or they harm (you)?”
73. Aw yanfa’oonakum aw yadurroon
74. قَالُوا بَلْ وَجَدْنَا آبَاءَنَا كَذَٰلِكَ يَفْعَلُونَ
Qālū Bal Wajadnā ‘Ābā’anā Kadhālika Yaf`alūna
26:74 They said, “Nay, but we found our forefathers like that – doing.”
74. Qaaloo bal wajadnaaa aabaaa ‘anaa kazaalika yaf’aloon
75. قَالَ أَفَرَأَيْتُمْ مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ
Qāla ‘Afara’aytum Mā Kuntum Ta`budūna
26:75 He said, “Do you see what you have been worshipping,
75. Qaala afara ‘aitum maa kuntum ta’budoon
76. أَنْتُمْ وَآبَاؤُكُمُ الْأَقْدَمُونَ
‘Antum Wa ‘Ābā’uukumu Al-‘Aqdamūna
26:76 You and your forefathers (of) the ancient (people).
76. Antum wa aabaaa’ukumul aqdamoon
77. فَإِنَّهُمْ عَدُوٌّ لِي إِلَّا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ
Fa’innahum `Adūwun Lī ‘Illā Rabba Al-`Ālamīna
26:77 Indeed, they (are) enemies to me, except (the) Lord (of) the worlds,
77. Fa innahum ‘aduwwwul leee illaa Rabbal ‘aalameen
78. الَّذِي خَلَقَنِي فَهُوَ يَهْدِينِ
Al-Ladhī Khalaqanī Fahuwa Yahdīni
26:78 The One Who created me, and He guides me.
78. Allazee khalaqanee fa Huwa yahdeen
79. وَالَّذِي هُوَ يُطْعِمُنِي وَيَسْقِينِ
Wa Al-Ladhī Huwa Yuţ`imunī Wa Yasqīni
26:79 And the One Who [He] gives me food and gives me drink.
79. Wallazee Huwa yut’imunee wa yasqeen
80. وَإِذَا مَرِضْتُ فَهُوَ يَشْفِينِ
Wa ‘Idhā Mariđtu Fahuwa Yashfīni
26:80 And when I am ill, then He cures me,
80. Wa izaa maridtu fahuwa yashfeen
81. وَالَّذِي يُمِيتُنِي ثُمَّ يُحْيِينِ
Wa Al-Ladhī Yumītunī Thumma Yuĥyīni
26:81 And the One Who will cause me to die then he will give me life,
81. Wallazee yumeetunee summa yuhyeen
82. وَالَّذِي أَطْمَعُ أَنْ يَغْفِرَ لِي خَطِيئَتِي يَوْمَ الدِّينِ
Wa Al-Ladhī ‘Aţma`u ‘An Yaghfira Lī Khaţī’atī Yawma Ad-Dīni
26:82 And the One Who – I hope that He will forgive for me my faults (on the) Day (of) the Judgment.
82. Wallazeee atma’u ai yaghfira lee khateee’ atee Yawmad Deen
83. رَبِّ هَبْ لِي حُكْمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ
Rabbi Hab Lī Ĥukmāan Wa ‘Alĥiqnī Biş-Şāliĥīna
26:83 My Lord! Grant [for] me wisdom and join me with the righteous.
83. Rabbi hab lee hukmanw wa alhiqnee bis saaliheen
84. وَاجْعَلْ لِي لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ فِي الْآخِرِينَ
Wa Aj`al Lī Lisāna Şidqin Fī Al-‘Ākhirīna
26:84 And grant [for] me a mention (of) honor among the later (generations).
84. Waj’al lee lisaana sidqin fil aakhireen
85. وَاجْعَلْنِي مِنْ وَرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ النَّعِيمِ
Wa Aj`alnī Min Warathati Jannati An-Na`īmi
26:85 And make me of (the) inheritors (of) Garden(s) (of) Delight.
85. Waj’alnee minw warasati Jannnatin Na’eem
86. وَاغْفِرْ لِأَبِي إِنَّهُ كَانَ مِنَ الضَّالِّينَ
Wa Aghfir Li’abī ‘Innahu Kāna Mina Ađ-Đāllīna
26:86 And forgive my father. Indeed, he is of those astray.
86. Waghfir li abeee innahoo kaana mind daalleen
87. وَلَا تُخْزِنِي يَوْمَ يُبْعَثُونَ
Wa Lā Tukhzinī Yawma Yub`athūna
26:87 And (do) not disgrace me (on the) Day they are resurrected,
87. Wa laa tukhzinee Yawma yub’asoon
88. يَوْمَ لَا يَنْفَعُ مَالٌ وَلَا بَنُونَ
Yawma Lā Yanfa`u Mālun Wa Lā Banūna
26:88 (The) Day not will benefit wealth and not sons,
88. Yawma laa yanfa’u maalunw wa laa banoon
89. إِلَّا مَنْ أَتَى اللَّهَ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمٍ
‘Illā Man ‘Atá Al-Laha Biqalbin Salīmin
26:89 Except (he) who comes (to) Allah with a heart sound.”
89. Illaa man atal laaha biqalbin saleem
90. وَأُزْلِفَتِ الْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
Wa ‘Uzlifati Al-Jannatu Lilmuttaqīna
26:90 And (will be) brought near the Paradise for the righteous.
90. Wa uzlifatil Jannatu lilmuttaqeen
91. وَبُرِّزَتِ الْجَحِيمُ لِلْغَاوِينَ
Wa Burrizati Al-Jaĥīmu Lilghāwīna
26:91 And (will be) made manifest the Hellfire to the deviators.
91. Wa burrizatil Jaheemu lilghaaween
92. وَقِيلَ لَهُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ
Wa Qīla Lahum ‘Ayna Mā Kuntum Ta`budūna
26:92 And it will be said to them, “Where (is) that you used (to) worship
92. Wa qeela lahum aina maa kuntum ta’budoon
93. مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ هَلْ يَنْصُرُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَنْتَصِرُونَ
Min Dūni Al-Lahi Hal Yanşurūnakum ‘Aw Yantaşirūna
26:93 from besides Allah? Can they help you or help themselves?”
93. Min doonil laahi hal yansuroonakum aw yantasiroon
94. فَكُبْكِبُوا فِيهَا هُمْ وَالْغَاوُونَ
Fakubkibū Fīhā Hum Wa Al-Ghāwūna
26:94 Then they will be overturned into it, they and the deviators
94. Fakubkiboo feehaa hum walghaawoon
95. وَجُنُودُ إِبْلِيسَ أَجْمَعُونَ
Wa Junūdu ‘Iblīsa ‘Ajma`ūna
26:95 And (the) hosts (of) Iblis all together.
95. Wa junoodu Ibleesa ajma’oon
96. قَالُوا وَهُمْ فِيهَا يَخْتَصِمُونَ
Qālū Wa Hum Fīhā Yakhtaşimūna
26:96 They (will) say while they in it (are) disputing,
96. Qaaloo wa hum feehaa yakkhtasimoon
97. تَاللَّهِ إِنْ كُنَّا لَفِي ضَلَالٍ مُبِينٍ
Ta-Allāhi ‘In Kunnā Lafī Đalālin Mubīnin
26:97 “By Allah, indeed, we were surely in error clear
97. Tallaahi in kunnaa lafee dalaalim mubeen
98. إِذْ نُسَوِّيكُمْ بِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
‘Idh Nusawwīkum Birabbi Al-`Ālamīna
26:98 When we equated you with (the) Lord (of) the worlds.
98. Iz nusawweekum bi Rabbil ‘aalameen
99. وَمَا أَضَلَّنَا إِلَّا الْمُجْرِمُونَ
Wa Mā ‘Ađallanā ‘Illā Al-Mujrimūna
26:99 And not misguided us except the criminals.
99. Wa maaa adallanaaa illal mujrimoon
100. فَمَا لَنَا مِنْ شَافِعِينَ
Famā Lanā Min Shāfi`īna
26:100 So (now) not we have any intercessors
100. Famaa lanaa min shaa fi’een
101. وَلَا صَدِيقٍ حَمِيمٍ
Wa Lā Şadīqin Ĥamīmin
26:101 And not a friend close.
101. Wa laa sadeeqin hameem
102. فَلَوْ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةً فَنَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Falaw ‘Anna Lanā Karratan Fanakūna Mina Al-Mu’uminīna
26:102 Then if that we had a return, then we could be of the believers.”
102. Falaw anna lanaa karratan fanakoona minal mu’mineen
103. إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
‘Inna Fī Dhālika La’āyatan Wa Mā Kāna ‘Aktharuhum Mu’uminīna
26:103 Indeed, in that surely is a Sign, but not are most of them believers.
103. Inna fee zaalika la Aayatanw wa maa kaana aksaruhum mu’mineen
104. وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ
Wa ‘Inna Rabbaka Lahuwa Al-`Azīzu Ar-Raĥīmu
26:104 And indeed, your Lord, surely He (is) the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful.
104. Wa inna Rabbaka la Huwal ‘Azeezur Raheem (section 5)
105. كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
Kadhdhabat Qawmu Nūĥin Al-Mursalīna
26:105 Denied (the) people (of) Nuh the Messengers
105. Kazzabat qawmu Noohinil Mursaleen
106. إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ نُوحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
‘Idh Qāla Lahum ‘Akhūhum Nūĥun ‘Alā Tattaqūna
26:106 When said to them their brother Nuh, “Will not you fear (Allah)?
106. Iz qaala lahum akhoohum Noohun alaa tattaqoon
107. إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
‘Innī Lakum Rasūlun ‘Amīnun
26:107 Indeed, I am to you a Messenger trustworthy.
107. Innee lakum Rasoolun ameen
108. فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
Fāttaqū Al-Laha Wa ‘Aţī`ūni
26:108 So fear Allah and obey me.
108. Fattaqullaaha wa atee’oon
109. وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
Wa Mā ‘As’alukum `Alayhi Min ‘Ajrin ‘In ‘Ajrī ‘Illā `Alá Rabbi Al-`Ālamīna
26:109 And not I ask (of) you for it any payment. Not (is) my payment but from (the) Lord (of) the worlds.
109. Wa maaa as’alukum ‘alaihi min ajrin in ajriya illaa ‘alaa Rabbil ‘aalameen
110. فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
Fāttaqū Al-Laha Wa ‘Aţī`ūni
26:110 So fear Allah and obey me.”
110. Fattaqul laaha wa atee’oon
111. قَالُوا أَنُؤْمِنُ لَكَ وَاتَّبَعَكَ الْأَرْذَلُونَ
Qālū ‘Anu’uminu Laka Wa Attaba`aka Al-‘Ardhalūna
26:111 They said, “Should we believe in you while followed you the lowest?”
111. Qaalooo anu’minu laka wattaba ‘akal arzaloon
112. قَالَ وَمَا عِلْمِي بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
Qāla Wa Mā `Ilmī Bimā Kānū Ya`malūna
26:112 He said, “And what (do) I know of what they used (to) do?
112. Qaala wa maa ‘ilmee bimaa kaanoo ya’maloon
113. إِنْ حِسَابُهُمْ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّي ۖ لَوْ تَشْعُرُونَ
‘In Ĥisābuhum ‘Illā `Alá Rabbī Law Tash`urūna
26:113 Verily, their account (is) but upon my Lord, if you perceive.
113. In hisaabuhum illaa ‘alaa Rabbee law tash’uroon
114. وَمَا أَنَا بِطَارِدِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Wa Mā ‘Anā Biţāridi Al-Mu’uminīna
26:114 And not I am the one to drive away the believers.
114. Wa maaa ana bitaaridil mu’mineen
115. إِنْ أَنَا إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ مُبِينٌ
‘In ‘Anā ‘Illā Nadhīrun Mubīnun
26:115 Not I am but a warner clear.”
115. In ana illaa nazeerum mubeen
116. قَالُوا لَئِنْ لَمْ تَنْتَهِ يَا نُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمَرْجُومِينَ
Qālū La’in Lam Tantahi Yā Nūĥu Latakūnanna Mina Al-Marjūmīna
26:116 They said, “If not you desist, O Nuh! Surely you will be of (those who are) expelled/stoned
116. Qaaloo la’il lam tantahi yaa Noohu latakoonanna minal marjoomeen
117. قَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِي كَذَّبُونِ
Qāla Rabbi ‘Inna Qawmī Kadhdhabūni
26:117 He said, “My Lord! Indeed, my people have denied me.
117. Qaala Rabbi inna qawmee kazzaboon
118. فَافْتَحْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُمْ فَتْحًا وَنَجِّنِي وَمَنْ مَعِيَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Fāftaĥ Baynī Wa Baynahum Fatĥāan Wa Najjinī Wa Man Ma`ī Mina Al-Mu’uminīna
26:118 So judge between me and between them (with decisive) judgment, and save me and who (are) with me of the believers.”
118. Faftab bainee wa bai nahum fat hanw wa najjinee wa mam ma’iya minal mu’mineen
119. فَأَنْجَيْنَاهُ وَمَنْ مَعَهُ فِي الْفُلْكِ الْمَشْحُونِ
Fa’anjaynāhu Wa Man Ma`ahu Fī Al-Fulki Al-Mashĥūni
26:119 So We saved him and who (were) with him in the ship, laden.
119. Fa anjainaahu wa mamma’ahoo fil fulkil mashhoon
120. ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا بَعْدُ الْبَاقِينَ
Thumma ‘Aghraqnā Ba`du Al-Bāqīna
26:120 Then We drowned thereafter the remaining ones.
120. Summa aghraqnaa ba’dul baaqeen
121. إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
‘Inna Fī Dhālika La’āyatan Wa Mā Kāna ‘Aktharuhum Mu’uminīna
26:121 Indeed, in that surely, (is) a sign but not are most of them believers.
121. Inna fee zaalika la Aayaah; wa maa kaana aksaruhum mu’mineen
122. وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ
Wa ‘Inna Rabbaka Lahuwa Al-`Azīzu Ar-Raĥīmu
26:122 And indeed, your Lord surely, He (is) the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful.
122. Wa inna Rabbaka la huwal ‘Azeezur Raheem (section 6)
123. كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
Kadhdhabat `Ādun Al-Mursalīna
26:123 Denied (the people) of Aad the Messengers.
123. Kazzabat ‘Aadunil mursaleen
124. إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ هُودٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
‘Idh Qāla Lahum ‘Akhūhum Hūdun ‘Alā Tattaqūna
26:124 When said to them their brother Hud, “Will not you fear (Allah)?
124. Iz qaala lahum akhoohum Hoodun alaa tattaqoon
125. إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
‘Innī Lakum Rasūlun ‘Amīnun
26:125 Indeed, I am to you a Messenger trustworthy.
125. Innee lakum Rasoolun ameen
126. فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
Fāttaqū Al-Laha Wa ‘Aţī`ūni
26:126 So fear Allah and obey me.
126. Fattaqullaaha wa atee’oon
127. وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
Wa Mā ‘As’alukum `Alayhi Min ‘Ajrin ‘In ‘Ajrī ‘Illā `Alá Rabbi Al-`Ālamīna
26:127 And not I ask you for it any payment. Not (is) my payment except from (the) Lord (of) the worlds.
127. Wa maa as’alukum ‘alaihi min ajrin in ajriya illaa ‘alaa Rabbil ‘aalameen
128. أَتَبْنُونَ بِكُلِّ رِيعٍ آيَةً تَعْبَثُونَ
‘Atabnūna Bikulli Rī`in ‘Āyatan Ta`bathūna
26:128 Do you construct on every elevation a sign, amusing yourselves,
128. Atabnoona bikulli ree’in aayatan ta’basoon
129. وَتَتَّخِذُونَ مَصَانِعَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَخْلُدُونَ
Wa Tattakhidhūna Maşāni`a La`allakum Takhludūna
26:129 And take for yourselves strongholds that you may live forever?
129. Wa tattakhizoona masaani’a la’allakum takhludoon
130. وَإِذَا بَطَشْتُمْ بَطَشْتُمْ جَبَّارِينَ
Wa ‘Idhā Baţashtum Baţashtum Jabbārīna
26:130 And when you seize, you seize (as) tyrants.
130. Wa izaa batashtum batashtum jabbaareen
131. فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
Fāttaqū Al-Laha Wa ‘Aţī`ūni
26:131 So fear Allah and obey me.
131. Fattaqul laaha wa atee’oon
132. وَاتَّقُوا الَّذِي أَمَدَّكُمْ بِمَا تَعْلَمُونَ
Wa Attaqū Al-Ladhī ‘Amaddakum Bimā Ta`lamūna
26:132 And fear the One Who has aided you with what you know,
132. Wattaqul lazeee amad dakum bimaa ta’lamoon
133. أَمَدَّكُمْ بِأَنْعَامٍ وَبَنِينَ
‘Amaddakum Bi’an`āmin Wa Banīna
26:133 He has aided you with cattle and children,
133. Amaddakum bi an’aa minw wa baneen
134. وَجَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
Wa Jannātin Wa `Uyūnin
26:134 And gardens and springs.
134. Wa jannaatinw wa ‘uyoon
135. إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
‘Innī ‘Akhāfu `Alaykum `Adhāba Yawmin `Ažīmin
26:135 Indeed, I [I] fear for you (the) punishment (of) a Day Great.”
135. Innee akhaafu ‘alaikum ‘azaaba Yawmin ‘azeem
136. قَالُوا سَوَاءٌ عَلَيْنَا أَوَعَظْتَ أَمْ لَمْ تَكُنْ مِنَ الْوَاعِظِينَ
Qālū Sawā’un `Alaynā ‘Awa`ažta ‘Am Lam Takun Mina Al-Wā`ižīna
26:136 They said, “(It is) same to us whether you advise or not you are of the advisors.
136. Qaaloo sawaaa’un ‘alainaaa awa ‘azta am lam takum minal waa’izeen
137. إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا خُلُقُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
‘In Hādhā ‘Illā Khuluqu Al-‘Awwalīna
26:137 Not (is) this but (the) custom (of) the former (people),
137. In haazaaa illaa khuluqul awwaleen
138. وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ
Wa Mā Naĥnu Bimu`adhdhabīna
26:138 And not we (are) the ones to be punished.”
138. Wa maa nahnu bimu ‘azzabeen
139. فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ ۗ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
Fakadhdhabūhu Fa’ahlaknāhum ‘Inna Fī Dhālika La’āyatan Wa Mā Kāna ‘Aktharuhum Mu’uminīna
26:139 So they denied him, then We destroyed them. Indeed, in that surely, is a sign, but not are most of them believers.
139. Fakazzaboohu fa ahlaknaahum; inna fee zaalika la aayah; wa maa kaana aksaruhum mu’mineen
140. وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ
Wa ‘Inna Rabbaka Lahuwa Al-`Azīzu Ar-Raĥīmu
26:140 And indeed, your Lord surely, He (is) the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful.
140. Wa inna Rabbaka la huwal ‘Azeezur Raheem (section 7)
141. كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
Kadhdhabat Thamūdu Al-Mursalīna
26:141 Denied Thamud, the Messengers
141. Kazzabat Samoodul mursaleen
142. إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ صَالِحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
‘Idh Qāla Lahum ‘Akhūhum Şāliĥun ‘Alā Tattaqūna
26:142 When, said to them their brother Salih, “Will not you fear (Allah)?
142. Iz qaala lahum akhoohum Saalihun alaa tattaqoon
143. إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
‘Innī Lakum Rasūlun ‘Amīnun
26:143 Indeed, I am to you a Messenger trustworthy.
143. Innee lakum Rasoolun ameen
144. فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
Fāttaqū Al-Laha Wa ‘Aţī`ūni
26:144 So fear Allah and obey me.
144. Fattaqul laaha wa atee’oon
145. وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
Wa Mā ‘As’alukum `Alayhi Min ‘Ajrin ‘In ‘Ajriya ‘Illā `Alá Rabbi Al-`Ālamīna
26:145 And not I ask you for it any payment. Not (is) my payment except from (the) Lord (of) the worlds.
145. Wa maaa as’alukum ‘alaihi min ajrin in ajriya illaa ‘alaa Rabbil ‘aalameen
146. أَتُتْرَكُونَ فِي مَا هَاهُنَا آمِنِينَ
‘Atutrakūna Fī Mā Hāhunā ‘Āminīna
26:146 Will you be left in what (is) here secure,
146. Atutrakoona fee maa haahunnaaa aamineen
147. فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
Fī Jannātin Wa `Uyūnin
26:147 In gardens and springs,
147. Fee jannaatinw wa ‘uyoon
148. وَزُرُوعٍ وَنَخْلٍ طَلْعُهَا هَضِيمٌ
Wa Zurū`in Wa Nakhlin Ţal`uhā Hađīmun
26:148 And cornfields and date-palms its spadix soft?
148. Wa zuroo inw wa nakhlin tal ‘uhaa hadeem
149. وَتَنْحِتُونَ مِنَ الْجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا فَارِهِينَ
Wa Tanĥitūna Mina Al-Jibāli Buyūtāan Fārihīna
26:149 And you carve of the mountains, houses skillfully.
149. Wa tanhitoona minal jibaali buyootan faariheen
150. فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
Fāttaqū Al-Laha Wa ‘Aţī`ūni
26:150 So fear Allah and obey me.
150. Fattaqul laaha wa atee’oon
151. وَلَا تُطِيعُوا أَمْرَ الْمُسْرِفِينَ
Wa Lā Tuţī`ū ‘Amra Al-Musrifīna
26:151 And (do) not obey (the) command (of) the transgressors,
151. Wa laa tutee’ooo amral musrifeen
152. الَّذِينَ يُفْسِدُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُونَ
Al-Ladhīna Yufsidūna Fī Al-‘Arđi Wa Lā Yuşliĥūna
26:152 Those who spread corruption in the earth and (do) not reform.”
152. Allazeena yufsidoona fil ardi wa laa yuslihoon
153. قَالُوا إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مِنَ الْمُسَحَّرِينَ
Qālū ‘Innamā ‘Anta Mina Al-Musaĥĥarīna
26:153 They said, “Only you (are) of those bewitched.
153. Qaalooo innamaa anta minal musahhareen
154. مَا أَنْتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُنَا فَأْتِ بِآيَةٍ إِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ
Mā ‘Anta ‘Illā Basharun Mithlunā Fa’ti Bi’āyatin ‘In Kunta Mina Aş-Şādiqīna
26:154 Not you (are) except a man like us, so bring a sign, if you (are) of the truthful.“
154. Maaa anta illaa basharum mislunaa faati bi Aayatin in kunta minas saadiqeen
155. قَالَ هَٰذِهِ نَاقَةٌ لَهَا شِرْبٌ وَلَكُمْ شِرْبُ يَوْمٍ مَعْلُومٍ
Qāla Hadhihi Nāqatun Lahā Shirbun Wa Lakum Shirbu Yawmin Ma`lūmin
26:155 He said, “This (is) a she-camel. For her (is a share of) drink, and for you (is a share of) drink (on) a day known.
155. Qaala haazihee naaqatul lahaa shirbunw walakum shirbu yawmim ma’loom
156. وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوءٍ فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
Wa Lā Tamassūhā Bisū’in Faya’khudhakum `Adhābu Yawmin `Ažīmin
26:156 And (do) not touch her with harm, lest seize you (the) punishment (of) a Day Great.”
156. Wa laa tamassoohaa bisooo’in fa yaakhuzakum ‘azaabu Yawmin ‘Azeem
157. فَعَقَرُوهَا فَأَصْبَحُوا نَادِمِينَ
Fa`aqarūhā Fa’aşbaĥū Nādimīna
26:157 But they hamstrung her, then they became regretful.
157. Fa’aqaroohaa fa asbahoo naadimeen
158. فَأَخَذَهُمُ الْعَذَابُ ۗ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
Fa’akhadhahumu Al-`Adhābu ‘Inna Fī Dhālika La’āyatan Wa Mā Kāna ‘Aktharuhum Mu’uminīna
26:158 So seized them the punishment. Indeed, in that surely is a sign, but not are most of them believers.
158. Fa akhazahumul ‘azaab; inna fee zaalika la Aayah; wa maa kaana aksaruhum mu’mineen
159. وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ
Wa ‘Inna Rabbaka Lahuwa Al-`Azīzu Ar-Raĥīmu
26:159 And indeed, your Lord, surely He (is) the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful.
159. Wa inna Rabbaka la Huwal ‘Azeezur Raheem (section 8)
160. كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
Kadhdhabat Qawmu Lūţin Al-Mursalīna
26:160 Denied, (the) people (of) Lut, the Messengers.
160. kazzabat qawmu Lootinil mursaleen
161. إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ لُوطٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
‘Idh Qāla Lahum ‘Akhūhum Lūţun ‘Alā Tattaqūna
26:161 When said to them their brother Lut, “Will not you fear (Allah)?
161. Iz qaala lahum akhoohum Lootun alaa tattaqoon
162. إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
‘Innī Lakum Rasūlun ‘Amīnun
26:162 Indeed, I am to you a Messenger trustworthy.
162. Innee lakum rasoolun ameen
163. فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
Fāttaqū Al-Laha Wa ‘Aţī`ūni
26:163 So fear Allah and obey me.
163. Fattaqul laaha wa atee’oon
164. وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
Wa Mā ‘As’alukum `Alayhi Min ‘Ajrin ‘In ‘Ajriya ‘Illā `Alá Rabbi Al-`Ālamīna
26:164 And not I ask you for it any payment Not (is) my payment except from (the) Lord (of) the worlds.
164. Wa maaa as’alukum ‘alaihi min ajrin in ajriya illaa ‘alaa Rabbil ‘aalameen
165. أَتَأْتُونَ الذُّكْرَانَ مِنَ الْعَالَمِينَ
‘Ata’tūna Adh-Dhukrāna Mina Al-`Ālamīna
26:165 Do you approach the males among the worlds
165. Ataatoonaz zukraana minal ‘aalameen
166. وَتَذَرُونَ مَا خَلَقَ لَكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ مِنْ أَزْوَاجِكُمْ ۚ بَلْ أَنْتُمْ قَوْمٌ عَادُونَ
Wa Tadharūna Mā Khalaqa Lakum Rabbukum Min ‘Azwājikum Bal ‘Antum Qawmun `Ādūna
26:166 And you leave what created for you your Lord, of your mates? Nay, you (are) a people transgressing.”
166. Wa tazaroona maa khalaqa lakum Rabbukum min azwaajikum; bal antum qawmun ‘aadoon
167. قَالُوا لَئِنْ لَمْ تَنْتَهِ يَا لُوطُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمُخْرَجِينَ
Qālū La’in Lam Tantahi Yā Lūţu Latakūnanna Mina Al-Mukhrajīna
26:167 They said, “If not you desist, O Lut! Surely, you will be of the ones driven out.”
167. Qaloo la’il lam tantahi yaa Lootu latakoonanna minal mukhrajeen
168. قَالَ إِنِّي لِعَمَلِكُمْ مِنَ الْقَالِينَ
Qāla ‘Innī Li`amalikum Mina Al-Qālīna
26:168 He said, “Indeed, I am (of) your deed of those who detest.
168. Qaala innee li’amalikum minal qaaleen
169. رَبِّ نَجِّنِي وَأَهْلِي مِمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ
Rabbi Najjinī Wa ‘Ahlī Mimmā Ya`malūna
26:169 My Lord! Save me and my family from what they do.“
169. Rabbi najjjinee wa ahlee mimmmaa ya’maloon
170. فَنَجَّيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ أَجْمَعِينَ
Fanajjaynāhu Wa ‘Ahlahu ‘Ajma`īna
26:170 So We saved him and his family all,
170. Fanajjainaahu wa ahlahooo ajma’een
171. إِلَّا عَجُوزًا فِي الْغَابِرِينَ
‘Illā `Ajūzāan Fī Al-Ghābirīna
26:171 Except an old woman, (was) among those who remained behind.
171. Illaa ‘ajoozan filghaabireen
172. ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا الْآخَرِينَ
Thumma Dammarnā Al-‘Ākharīna
26:172 Then We destroyed the others.
172. Summa dammarnal aa khareen
173. وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ مَطَرًا ۖ فَسَاءَ مَطَرُ الْمُنْذَرِينَ
Wa ‘Amţarnā `Alayhim Maţarāan Fasā’a Maţaru Al-Mundharīna
26:173 And We rained upon them a rain, and evil was (was) the rain (on) those who were warned.
173. Wa amtarnaa ‘alaihim mataran fasaaa’a matarul munzareen
174. إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
‘Inna Fī Dhālika La’āyatan Wa Mā Kāna ‘Aktharuhum Mu’uminīna
26:174 Indeed, in that surely is a sign, but not are most of them believers.
174. Inna fee zaalika la Aayah; wa maa kaana aksaruhum mu’mineen
175. وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ
Wa ‘Inna Rabbaka Lahuwa Al-`Azīzu Ar-Raĥīmu
26:175 And indeed, your Lord, surely, He (is) the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful.
175. Wa inna Rabbaka la Huwal ‘Azeezur Raheem (section 9)
176. كَذَّبَ أَصْحَابُ الْأَيْكَةِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
Kadhdhaba ‘Aşĥābu Al-‘Aykati Al-Mursalīna
26:176 Denied (the) companions (of the) Wood, the Messengers.
176. Kazzaba As haabul Aykatil mursaleen
177. إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ شُعَيْبٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
‘Idh Qāla Lahum Shu`aybun ‘Alā Tattaqūna
26:177 When, said to them Shuaib, “Will not you fear (Allah)?
177. Iz qaala lahum Shu’aybun alaa tattaqoon
178. إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
‘Innī Lakum Rasūlun ‘Amīnun
26:178 Indeed, I am to you a Messenger trustworthy.
178. Innee lakum Rasoolun ameen
179. فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
Fāttaqū Al-Laha Wa ‘Aţī`ūni
26:179 So fear Allah and obey me.
179. Fattaqul laaha wa atee’oon
180. وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
Wa Mā ‘As’alukum `Alayhi Min ‘Ajrin ‘In ‘Ajriya ‘Illā `Alá Rabbi Al-`Ālamīna
26:180 And not I ask (of) you for it any payment. Not (is) my payment except from (the) Lord (of) the worlds.
180. Wa maaa as’alukum ‘alaihi min ajrin in ajriya illaa ‘alaa Rabbil ‘aalameen
181. أَوْفُوا الْكَيْلَ وَلَا تَكُونُوا مِنَ الْمُخْسِرِينَ
‘Awfū Al-Kayla Wa Lā Takūnū Mina Al-Mukhsirīna
26:181 Give full measure and (do) not be of those who cause loss.
181. Awful kaila wa laa takoonoo minal mukhsireen
182. وَزِنُوا بِالْقِسْطَاسِ الْمُسْتَقِيمِ
Wa Zinū Bil-Qisţāsi Al-Mustaqīmi
26:182 And weigh with a balance, [the] even.
182. Wa zinoo bilqistaasil mustaqeem
183. وَلَا تَبْخَسُوا النَّاسَ أَشْيَاءَهُمْ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا فِي الْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ
Wa Lā Tabkhasū An-Nāsa ‘Ashyā’ahum Wa Lā Ta`thaw Fī Al-‘Arđi Mufsidīna
26:183 And (do) not deprive people (of) their things, and (do) not commit evil in the earth, spreading corruption.
183. Wa laa tabkhasun naasa ashyaaa ‘ahum wa laa ta’saw fil ardi mufsideen
184. وَاتَّقُوا الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ وَالْجِبِلَّةَ الْأَوَّلِينَ
Wa Attaqū Al-Ladhī Khalaqakum Wa Al-Jibillata Al-‘Awwalīna
26:184 And fear the One Who created you and the generations the former.“
184. Wattaqul lazee khalaqakum waljibillatal awwaleen
185. قَالُوا إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مِنَ الْمُسَحَّرِينَ
Qālū ‘Innamā ‘Anta Mina Al-Musaĥĥarīna
26:185 They said, “Only you (are) of those bewitched.
185. Qaalooo innamaa anta minal musahhareen
186. وَمَا أَنْتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُنَا وَإِنْ نَظُنُّكَ لَمِنَ الْكَاذِبِينَ
Wa Mā ‘Anta ‘Illā Basharun Mithlunā Wa ‘In Nažunnuka Lamina Al-Kādhibīna
26:186 And not you (are) except a man like us, and indeed, we think you surely (are) of the liars.
186. Wa maaa anta illaa basharum mislunaa wa innazunnuka laminal kaazibeen
187. فَأَسْقِطْ عَلَيْنَا كِسَفًا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ إِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ
Fa’asqiţ `Alaynā Kisafāan Mina As-Samā’i ‘In Kunta Mina Aş-Şādiqīna
26:187 Then cause to fall upon us fragments of the sky, if you are of the truthful.“
187. Fa asqit ‘alainaa kisafam minas samaaa’i in kunta minas saadiqeen
188. قَالَ رَبِّي أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
Qāla Rabbī ‘A`lamu Bimā Ta`malūna
26:188 He said, “My Lord knows best of what you do.”
188. Qaala Rabbeee a’lamu bimaa ta’maloon
189. فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمِ الظُّلَّةِ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
Fakadhdhabūhu Fa’akhadhahum `Adhābu Yawmi Až-Žullati ‘Innahu Kāna `Adhāba Yawmin `Ažīmin
26:189 But they denied him, so seized them (the) punishment (of the) day (of) the shadow. Indeed, it was (the) punishment (of) a Day Great.
189. Fakazzaboohu fa akhazahum ‘azaabu Yawmiz zullah; innahoo kaana ‘azaaba Yawmin ‘Azeem
190. إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
‘Inna Fī Dhālika La’āyatan Wa Mā Kāna ‘Aktharuhum Mu’uminīna
26:190 Indeed, in that surely, is a sign but not are most of them believers.
190. Inna fee zaalika la Aayah; wa maa kaana aksaruhum mu’mineen
191. وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ
Wa ‘Inna Rabbaka Lahuwa Al-`Azīzu Ar-Raĥīmu
26:191 And indeed, your Lord surely, He (is) the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful.
191. Wa inna Rabbaka la huwal ‘Azeezur Raheem (section 10)
192. وَإِنَّهُ لَتَنْزِيلُ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
Wa ‘Innahu Latanzīlu Rabbi Al-`Ālamīna
26:192 And indeed, it surely, is a Revelation (of the) Lord (of) the worlds.
192. Wa innahoo latanzeelu Rabbil ‘aalameen
193. نَزَلَ بِهِ الرُّوحُ الْأَمِينُ
Nazala Bihi Ar-Rūĥu Al-‘Amīnu
26:193 Has brought down it, the Spirit [the] Trustworthy,
193. Nazala bihir Roohul Ameen
194. عَلَىٰ قَلْبِكَ لِتَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُنْذِرِينَ
`Alá Qalbika Litakūna Mina Al-Mundhirīna
26:194 Upon your heart, that you may be of the warners
194. ‘Alaa qalbika litakoona minal munzireen
195. بِلِسَانٍ عَرَبِيٍّ مُبِينٍ
Bilisānin `Arabīyin Mubīnin
26:195 In language Arabic clear.
195. Bilisaanin ‘Arabiyyim mubeen
196. وَإِنَّهُ لَفِي زُبُرِ الْأَوَّلِينَ
Wa ‘Innahu Lafī Zuburi Al-‘Awwalīna
26:196 And indeed, it surely, (is) in (the) Scriptures (of) the former (people).
196. Wa innahoo lafee Zuburil awwaleen
197. أَوَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُمْ آيَةً أَنْ يَعْلَمَهُ عُلَمَاءُ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ
‘Awalam Yakun Lahum ‘Āyatan ‘An Ya`lamahu `Ulamā’u Banī ‘Isrā’īla
26:197 Is not it to them a sign that know it (the) scholars (of the) Children (of) Israel?
197. Awalam yakul lahum Aayatan ai ya’lamahoo ‘ulamaaa’u Baneee Israaa’eel
198. وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنَاهُ عَلَىٰ بَعْضِ الْأَعْجَمِينَ
Wa Law Nazzalnāhu `Alá Ba`đi Al-‘A`jamīna
26:198 And if We (had) revealed it to any (of) the non-Arabs
198. Wa law nazzalnaahu ‘alaa ba’dil a’jameen
199. فَقَرَأَهُ عَلَيْهِمْ مَا كَانُوا بِهِ مُؤْمِنِينَ
Faqara’ahu `Alayhim Mā Kānū Bihi Mu’uminīna
26:199 And he (had) recited it to them, not they would in it (be) believers.
199. Faqara ahoo ‘alaihim maa kaanoo bihee mu’mineen
200. كَذَٰلِكَ سَلَكْنَاهُ فِي قُلُوبِ الْمُجْرِمِينَ
Kadhālika Salaknāhu Fī Qulūbi Al-Mujrimīna
26:200 Thus We have inserted it into (the) hearts (of) the criminals.
200. Kazaalika salaknaahu fee quloobil mujrimeen
201. لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ حَتَّىٰ يَرَوُا الْعَذَابَ الْأَلِيمَ
Lā Yu’uminūna Bihi Ĥattá Yaraw Al-`Adhāba Al-‘Alīma
26:201 Not they will believe in it until they see the punishment [the] painful.
201. Laa yu’minoona bihee hattaa yarawul ‘azaabal aleem
202. فَيَأْتِيَهُمْ بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ
Faya’tiyahum Baghtatan Wa Hum Lā Yash`urūna
26:202 And it will come to them suddenly, while they (do) not perceive.
202. Fayaatiyahum baghtatanw wa hum laa yash’uroon
203. فَيَقُولُوا هَلْ نَحْنُ مُنْظَرُونَ
Fayaqūlū Hal Naĥnu Munžarūna
26:203 Then they will say, “Are we (to be) reprieved?”
203. Fa yaqooloo hal nahnu munzaroon
204. أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
‘Afabi`adhābinā Yasta`jilūna
26:204 So is it for Our punishment they wish to hasten?
204. Afabi ‘azaabinaa yasta’jiloon
205. أَفَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ مَتَّعْنَاهُمْ سِنِينَ
‘Afara’ayta ‘In Matta`nāhum Sinīna
26:205 Then have you seen if We let them enjoy (for) years
205. Afara’aita im matta’naahum sineen
206. ثُمَّ جَاءَهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يُوعَدُونَ
Thumma Jā’ahum Mā Kānū Yū`adūna
26:206 Then comes to them what they were promised
206. Summa jaaa’ahum maa kaanoo yoo’adoon
207. مَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يُمَتَّعُونَ
Mā ‘Aghná `Anhum Mā Kānū Yumatta`ūna
26:207 Not (will) avail them what they were given enjoyment?
207. Maaa aghnaaa ‘anhum maa kaanoo yumatta’oon
208. وَمَا أَهْلَكْنَا مِنْ قَرْيَةٍ إِلَّا لَهَا مُنْذِرُونَ
Wa Mā ‘Ahlaknā Min Qaryatin ‘Illā Lahā Mundhirūna
26:208 And not We destroyed any town but it had warners
208. Wa maaa ahlaknaa min qaryatin illaa lahaa munziroon
209. ذِكْرَىٰ وَمَا كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ
Dhikrá Wa Mā Kunnā Žālimīna
26:209 (To) remind, and not We are unjust.
209. Zikraa wa maa kunnaa zaalimeen
210. وَمَا تَنَزَّلَتْ بِهِ الشَّيَاطِينُ
Wa Mā Tanazzalat Bihi Ash-Shayāţīnu
26:210 And not have brought down it the devils.
210. Wa maa tanazzalat bihish Shayaateen
211. وَمَا يَنْبَغِي لَهُمْ وَمَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ
Wa Mā Yanbaghī Lahum Wa Mā Yastaţī`ūna
26:211 And not (it) suits [for] them and not they are able.
211. Wa maa yambaghee lahum wa maa yastatee’oon
212. إِنَّهُمْ عَنِ السَّمْعِ لَمَعْزُولُونَ
‘Innahum `Ani As-Sam`i Lama`zūlūna
26:212 Indeed, they from the hearing (are) surely banished.
212. Innahum ‘anis sam’i lama’zooloon
213. فَلَا تَدْعُ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُعَذَّبِينَ
Falā Tad`u Ma`a Al-Lahi ‘Ilahāan ‘Ākhara Fatakūna Mina Al-Mu`adhdhabīna
26:213 So (do) not invoke with Allah, god another lest you be of those punished.
213. Falaa tad’u ma’al laahi ilaahan aakhara fatakoona minal mu’azzabeen
214. وَأَنْذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ الْأَقْرَبِينَ
Wa ‘Andhir `Ashīrataka Al-‘Aqrabīna
26:214 And warn your kindred [the] closest.
214. Wa anzir ‘asheeratakal aqrabeen
215. وَاخْفِضْ جَنَاحَكَ لِمَنِ اتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Wa Akhfiđ Janāĥaka Limani Attaba`aka Mina Al-Mu’uminīna
26:215 And lower your wing to (those) who follow you of the believers.
215. Wakhfid janaahaka limanit taba ‘aka minal mu’mineen
216. فَإِنْ عَصَوْكَ فَقُلْ إِنِّي بَرِيءٌ مِمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ
Fa’in `Aşawka Faqul ‘Innī Barī’un Mimmā Ta`malūna
26:216 Then if they disobey you then say, “Indeed, I am innocent of what you do.“
216. Fa in asawka faqul innee bareee’um mimmmaa ta’maloon
217. وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى الْعَزِيزِ الرَّحِيمِ
Wa Tawakkal `Alá Al-`Azīzi Ar-Raĥīmi
26:217 And put (your) trust in the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful,
217. Wa tawakkal alal ‘Azeezir Raheem
218. الَّذِي يَرَاكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ
Al-Ladhī Yarāka Ĥīna Taqūmu
26:218 The One Who sees you when you stand up
218. Allazee yaraaka heena taqoom
219. وَتَقَلُّبَكَ فِي السَّاجِدِينَ
Wa Taqallubaka Fī As-Sājidīna
26:219 And your movements among those who prostrate.
219. Wa taqallubaka fis saajideen
220. إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
‘Innahu Huwa As-Samī`u Al-`Alīmu
26:220 Indeed, He [He] (is) the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.
220. Innahoo Huwas Samee’ul ‘Aleem
221. هَلْ أُنَبِّئُكُمْ عَلَىٰ مَنْ تَنَزَّلُ الشَّيَاطِينُ
Hal ‘Unabbi’ukum `Alá Man Tanazzalu Ash-Shayāţīnu
26:221 Shall I inform you upon whom descend the devils?
221. Hal unabbi’ukum ‘alaa man tanazzalush Shayaateen
222. تَنَزَّلُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِيمٍ
Tanazzalu `Alá Kulli ‘Affākin ‘Athīmin
26:222 They descend upon every liar sinful.
222. Tanazzalu ‘alaa kulli affaakin aseem
223. يُلْقُونَ السَّمْعَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ كَاذِبُونَ
Yulqūna As-Sam`a Wa ‘Aktharuhum Kādhibūna
26:223 They pass on (what is) heard, and most of them (are) liars.
223. Yulqoonas sam’a wa aksaruhum kaaziboon
224. وَالشُّعَرَاءُ يَتَّبِعُهُمُ الْغَاوُونَ
Wa Ash-Shu`arā’u Yattabi`uhumu Al-Ghāwūna
26:224 And the poets – follow them the deviators.
224. Washshu ‘araaa’u yattabi ‘uhumul ghaawoon
225. أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّهُمْ فِي كُلِّ وَادٍ يَهِيمُونَ
‘Alam Tará ‘Annahum Fī Kulli Wādin Yahīmūna
26:225 Do not you see that they in every valley [they] roam,
225. Alam tara annahum fee kulli waadiny yaheemoon
226. وَأَنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ مَا لَا يَفْعَلُونَ
Wa ‘Annahum Yaqūlūna Mā Lā Yaf`alūna
26:226 And that they say what not they do?
226. Wa annahum yaqooloona ma laa yaf’aloon
227. إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَذَكَرُوا اللَّهَ كَثِيرًا وَانْتَصَرُوا مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا ظُلِمُوا ۗ وَسَيَعْلَمُ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا أَيَّ مُنْقَلَبٍ يَنْقَلِبُونَ
‘Illā Al-Ladhīna ‘Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Wa Dhakarū Al-Laha Kathīrāan Wa Antaşarū Min Ba`di Mā Žulimū Wa Saya`lamu Al-Ladhīna Žalamū ‘Ayya Munqalabin Yanqalibūna
26:227 Except those who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah much, and defend themselves from after that they were wronged. And will come to know those who have wronged (to) what return they will return.
227. Illal lazeena aamanoo wa ‘amilus saalihaati wa zakarul laaha kaseeranw wantasaroo min ba’di maa zulimoo; wa saya’lamul lazeena zalamooo aiya munqalabiny yanqaliboon (section 11)
