28:1  Ta Seem Meem.
1. Taa-Seeen-Meeem
2. تِلْكَ آيَاتُ الْكِتَابِ الْمُبِينِ
Tilka Āyātu Al-Kitābi Al-Mubīni
28:2  These (are the) Verses (of) the Book the clear.
2. Tilka Aayaatul Kitaabil mubeen
3. نَتْلُو عَلَيْكَ مِنْ نَبَإِ مُوسَىٰ وَفِرْعَوْنَ بِالْحَقِّ لِقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ
Natlū `Alayka Min Naba’i Mūsá Wa Fir`awna Bil-Ĥaqqi Liqawmin Yu’uminūna
28:3  We recite to you from (the) news (of) Musa and Firaun in truth for a people who believe.
3. Natloo ‘alaika min naba-i Moosaa wa Fir’awna bilhaqqi liqawminy yu’miinoon
4. إِنَّ فِرْعَوْنَ عَلَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَجَعَلَ أَهْلَهَا شِيَعًا يَسْتَضْعِفُ طَائِفَةً مِنْهُمْ يُذَبِّحُ أَبْنَاءَهُمْ وَيَسْتَحْيِي نِسَاءَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ مِنَ الْمُفْسِدِينَ
Inna Fir`awna `Alā Fī Al-‘Arđi Wa Ja`alaAhlahā Shiya`āan Yastađ`ifu Ţā’ifatan Minhum Yudhabbiĥu Abnā’ahum Wa Yastaĥyī Nisā’ahumInnahu Kāna Mina Al-Mufsidīna
28:4  Indeed, Firaun exalted himself in the land and made its people (into) sects, oppressing a group among them, slaughtering their sons and letting live their women. Indeed, he was of the corrupters.
4. Inna Fir’awna ‘alaa fil ardi wa ja’ala ahlahaa shiya’ai yastad’ifu taaa’ifatam minhum yuzabbihu abnaaa’ahum wa yastahyee nisaaa’ahum; innahoo kaana minal mufsideen
5. وَنُرِيدُ أَنْ نَمُنَّ عَلَى الَّذِينَ اسْتُضْعِفُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَنَجْعَلَهُمْ أَئِمَّةً وَنَجْعَلَهُمُ الْوَارِثِينَ
Wa NurīduAn Namunna `Alá Al-Ladhīna Astuđ`ifū Fī Al-‘Arđi Wa Naj`alahum ‘A’immatan Wa Naj`alahumu Al-Wārithīna
28:5  And We wanted to bestow a favor upon those who were oppressed in the land and make them leaders and make them the inheritors,
5. Wa nureedu an namunna ‘alal lazeenas tud’ifoo fil ardi wa naj’alahum a’immatanw wa naj’alahumul waariseen
6. وَنُمَكِّنَ لَهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَنُرِيَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَهَامَانَ وَجُنُودَهُمَا مِنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يَحْذَرُونَ
Wa Numakkina Lahum  Al-‘Arđi Wa Nuriya Fir`awna Wa Hāmāna Wa Junūdahumā Minhum  Kānū Yaĥdharūna
28:6  And [We] establish them in the land and show Firaun and Haman and their hosts through them what they were fearing.
6. Wa numakkina lahum fil ardi wa nuriya Fir’awna wa Haamaana wa junoodahumaa minhum maa kaanoo yahzaroon
7. وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَىٰ أُمِّ مُوسَىٰ أَنْ أَرْضِعِيهِ ۖ فَإِذَا خِفْتِ عَلَيْهِ فَأَلْقِيهِ فِي الْيَمِّ وَلَا تَخَافِي وَلَا تَحْزَنِي ۖ إِنَّا رَادُّوهُ إِلَيْكِ وَجَاعِلُوهُ مِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
Wa ‘Awĥaynā ‘Ilá Ummi Mūsá An Arđi`īhi Fa’idhā Khifti `Alayhi Fa’alqīhi  Al-Yammi Wa Lā Takhāfī Wa Lā Taĥzanī Innā Rāddūhu Ilayki Wa Jā`ilūhu Mina Al-Mursalīna
28:7  And We inspired [to] (the) mother (of) Musa that, “Suckle him, but when you fear for him, then cast him in(to) the river and (do) not fear and (do) not grieve. Indeed, We (will) restore him to you and (will) make him of the Messengers.
7. Wa awhainaaa ilaaa ummi Moosaaa an ardi’eehi faizaa khifti ‘alaihi fa alqeehi filyammi wa laa takhaafee wa laa tahzaneee innaa raaaddoohu ilaiki wa jaa’iloohu minal mursaleen
8. فَالْتَقَطَهُ آلُ فِرْعَوْنَ لِيَكُونَ لَهُمْ عَدُوًّا وَحَزَنًا ۗ إِنَّ فِرْعَوْنَ وَهَامَانَ وَجُنُودَهُمَا كَانُوا خَاطِئِينَ
Fāltaqaţahu Ālu Fir`awna Liyakūna Lahum `Adūwāan Wa ĤazanāanInna Fir`awna Wa Hāmāna Wa Junūdahumā Kānū Khāţi’īna
28:8  Then picked him up (the) family (of) Firaun so that he might become to them an enemy and a grief. Indeed, Firaun and Haman and their hosts were sinners.
8. Faltaqatahooo Aalu Fir’awna li yakoona lahum ‘aduwwanw wa hazanaa; inna Fir’awna wa Haamaana wa junooda humaa kaanoo khaati’een
9. وَقَالَتِ امْرَأَتُ فِرْعَوْنَ قُرَّتُ عَيْنٍ لِي وَلَكَ ۖ لَا تَقْتُلُوهُ عَسَىٰ أَنْ يَنْفَعَنَا أَوْ نَتَّخِذَهُ وَلَدًا وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ
Wa Qālat Amra’atu Fir`awna Qurratu `Aynin  Wa Laka Taqtulūhu `Asá An Yanfa`anā Aw Nattakhidhahu Waladāan Wa Hum Yash`urūna
28:9  And said (the) wife (of) Firaun, “A comfort (of the) eye for me and for you; (Do) not kill him; perhaps (that) he may benefit us, or we may take him (as) a son.And they (did) not perceive.
9. Wa qaalatim ra atu Fir’awna qurratu ‘aynil lee wa lak; laa taqtuloohu ‘asaaa aiyanfa’anaa aw nattakhizahoo waladanw wa hum laa yash’uroon
10. وَأَصْبَحَ فُؤَادُ أُمِّ مُوسَىٰ فَارِغًا ۖ إِنْ كَادَتْ لَتُبْدِي بِهِ لَوْلَا أَنْ رَبَطْنَا عَلَىٰ قَلْبِهَا لِتَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Wa ‘Aşbaĥa Fu’uāduUmmi Mūsá Fārighāan In Kādat Latubdī Bihi Lawlā An Rabaţnā `Alá Qalbihā Litakūna Mina Al-Mu’uminīna
28:10  And became (the) heart (of the) mother (of) Musa empty. That, she was near (to) disclosing about him, if not that We strengthened [over] her heart, so that she would be of the believers.
10. Wa asbaha fu’aadu ummi Moosaa faarighan in kaadat latubdee bihee law laaa arrabatnaa ‘alaa qalbihaa litakoona minal mu’mineen
11. وَقَالَتْ لِأُخْتِهِ قُصِّيهِ ۖ فَبَصُرَتْ بِهِ عَنْ جُنُبٍ وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ
Wa Qālat Li’khtihi Quşşīhi Fabaşurat Bihi `An Junubin Wa Hum Yash`urūna
28:11  And she said to his sister, “Follow him.” So she watched him from a distance while they (did) not perceive.
11. Wa qaalat li ukhtihee qusseehi fabasurat bihee ‘an junubinw wahum laa yash’uroon
12. وَحَرَّمْنَا عَلَيْهِ الْمَرَاضِعَ مِنْ قَبْلُ فَقَالَتْ هَلْ أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَىٰ أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ يَكْفُلُونَهُ لَكُمْ وَهُمْ لَهُ نَاصِحُونَ
Wa Ĥarramnā `Alayhi Al-Marāđi`a Min Qablu Faqālat Hal Adullukum `Alá Ahli Baytin Yakfulūnahu Lakum Wa Hum Lahu Nāşiĥūna
28:12  And We had forbidden for him the wet nurses from before, so she said,Shall I direct you to (the) people (of) a house who will rear him for you while they to him (will be) sincere?”
12. Wa harramnaa ‘alaihil maraadi’a min qablu faqaalat hal adullukum ‘alaaa ahli baitiny yakfuloonahoo lakum wa hum lahoo naasihoon
13. فَرَدَدْنَاهُ إِلَىٰ أُمِّهِ كَيْ تَقَرَّ عَيْنُهَا وَلَا تَحْزَنَ وَلِتَعْلَمَ أَنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
Faradadnāhu Ilá Ummihi Kay Taqarra `Aynuhā Wa Lā Taĥzana Wa Lita`lamaAnna Wa`da Al-Lahi Ĥaqqun Wa LakinnaAktharahum Ya`lamūna
28:13  So We restored him to his mother that might be comforted her eye, and not she may grieve and that she would know, that the Promise (of) Allah (is) true. But most of them (do) not know.
13. Faradadnaahu ilaa ummihee kai taqarra ‘ainuhaa wa laa tahzana wa lita’lama anna wa’dal laahi haqqunw wa laakinna aksarahum laa ya’lamoon (section 1)
14. وَلَمَّا بَلَغَ أَشُدَّهُ وَاسْتَوَىٰ آتَيْنَاهُ حُكْمًا وَعِلْمًا ۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
Wa Lammā Balagha Ashuddahu Wa Astawá ‘Ātaynāhu Ĥukmāan Wa `Ilmāan Wa Kadhalika Najzī Al-Muĥsinīna
28:14  And when he reached his full strength and became mature, We bestowed upon him wisdom and knowledge. And thus We reward the good-doers.
14. Wa lammaa balagha ashuddahoo wastawaaa aatai naahu hukmanw wa ‘ilmaa; wa kazaalika najzil muhsineen
15. وَدَخَلَ الْمَدِينَةَ عَلَىٰ حِينِ غَفْلَةٍ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا فَوَجَدَ فِيهَا رَجُلَيْنِ يَقْتَتِلَانِ هَٰذَا مِنْ شِيعَتِهِ وَهَٰذَا مِنْ عَدُوِّهِ ۖ فَاسْتَغَاثَهُ الَّذِي مِنْ شِيعَتِهِ عَلَى الَّذِي مِنْ عَدُوِّهِ فَوَكَزَهُ مُوسَىٰ فَقَضَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ۖ قَالَ هَٰذَا مِنْ عَمَلِ الشَّيْطَانِ ۖ إِنَّهُ عَدُوٌّ مُضِلٌّ مُبِينٌ
Wa Dakhala Al-Madīnata `Alá Ĥīni Ghaflatin Min Ahlihā Fawajada Fīhā Rajulayni Yaqtatilāni Hādhā Min Shī`atihi Wa Hadhā Min `Adūwihi Fāstaghāthahu Al-Ladhī Min Shī`atihi `Alá Al-Ladhī Min `Adūwihi Fawakazahu Mūsá Faqađá `Alayhi Qāla Hādhā Min `Amali Ash-ShayţāniInnahu `Adūwun Muđillun Mubīnun
28:15  And he entered the city at a time (of) inattention of its people and found therein two men fighting each other; this of his party and this of his enemy. And called him for help the one who (was) from his party against the one who (was) from his enemy, so struck him with his fist Musa and killed him. He said,This (is) of (the) deed (of) Shaitaan. Indeed, he (is) an enemyone who misleads clearly.”
15. Wa dakhalal madeenata ‘alaa heene ghaflatim min ahlihaa fawajada feeha raju laini yaqtatilaani haazaa min shee’atihee wa haaza min ‘aduwwihee fastaghaasahul lazee min shee’atihee ‘alal lazee min ‘aduwwihee fawakazahoo Moosaa faqadaa ‘alaihi qaala haaza min ‘amalish Shaitaani innahoo ‘aduwwum mmudillum mubeen
16. قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي فَاغْفِرْ لِي فَغَفَرَ لَهُ ۚ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ
Qāla Rabbi Innī Žalamtu Nafsī Fāghfir Faghafara Lahu Innahu Huwa Al-Ghafūru Ar-Raĥīmu
28:16  He said,My Lord! Indeed, I [I] have wronged my soul, so forgive [for] me.Then He forgave [for] him. Indeed He, He (is) the Oft-Forgiving, the Most Merciful.
16. Qaala Rabbi innee zalamtu nafsee faghfir lee faghafaralah; innahoo Huwal Ghafoorur Raheem
17. قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَا أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ فَلَنْ أَكُونَ ظَهِيرًا لِلْمُجْرِمِينَ
Qāla Rabbi Bimā An`amta `Alayya Falan Akūna Žahīrāan Lilmujrimīna
28:17  He said,My Lord! Because You have favored [on] me, so not I will be a supporter (of) the criminals.”
17. Qaala Rabbi bimaaa an’amta ‘alaiya falan akoona zaheeral lilmujrimeen
18. فَأَصْبَحَ فِي الْمَدِينَةِ خَائِفًا يَتَرَقَّبُ فَإِذَا الَّذِي اسْتَنْصَرَهُ بِالْأَمْسِ يَسْتَصْرِخُهُ ۚ قَالَ لَهُ مُوسَىٰ إِنَّكَ لَغَوِيٌّ مُبِينٌ
Fa’aşbaĥa Fī Al-Madīnati Khā’ifāan Yataraqqabu Fa’idhā Al-Ladhī Astanşarahu Bil-‘Amsi Yastaşrikhuhu Qāla Lahu Mūsá Innaka Laghawīyun Mubīnun
28:18  In the morning he was in the city fearful (and) was vigilant, when behold! The one who sought his help the previous day cried out to him for help. Said to him Musa, “Indeed, you (are) surely a deviator clear.”
18. Fa asbaha fil madeenati khaaa’ifany yataraqqabu fa izal lazis tansarahoo bil amsi yastasrikhuh; qaala lahoo moosaaa innaka laghawiyyum mubeen
19. فَلَمَّا أَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَبْطِشَ بِالَّذِي هُوَ عَدُوٌّ لَهُمَا قَالَ يَا مُوسَىٰ أَتُرِيدُ أَنْ تَقْتُلَنِي كَمَا قَتَلْتَ نَفْسًا بِالْأَمْسِ ۖ إِنْ تُرِيدُ إِلَّا أَنْ تَكُونَ جَبَّارًا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَمَا تُرِيدُ أَنْ تَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُصْلِحِينَ
Falammā An Arāda An Yabţisha Bial-Ladhī Huwa `Adūwun Lahumā Qāla Yā Mūsá ‘Aturīdu An Taqtulanī KamāQatalta Nafsāan Bil-‘AmsiIn Turīdu Illā An Takūna Jabbārāan Fī Al-‘Arđi Wa Mā Turīdu An Takūna Mina Al-Muşliĥīna
28:19  Then when [that] he wanted to strike the one who [he] (was) an enemy to both of them, he said, “O Musa! Do you intend to kill me as you killed a person yesterday? Not you want but that you become a tyrant in the earth, and not you want that you be of the reformers.
19. Falammaaa an araada ai yabtisha billazee huwa ‘aduwwul lahumaa qaala yaa Moosaaa atureedu an taqtulanee kamaa qatalta nafsam bil amsi in tureedu illaaa an takoona jabbaaram fil ardi wa maa tureedu an takoona minal musliheen
20. وَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَقْصَى الْمَدِينَةِ يَسْعَىٰ قَالَ يَا مُوسَىٰ إِنَّ الْمَلَأَ يَأْتَمِرُونَ بِكَ لِيَقْتُلُوكَ فَاخْرُجْ إِنِّي لَكَ مِنَ النَّاصِحِينَ
Wa Jā’a Rajulun Min Aqşá Al-Madīnati Yas`á Qāla Yā Mūsá ‘Inna Al-Mala’a Ya’tamirūna Bika Liyaqtulūka Fākhruj Innī Laka Mina An-Nāşiĥīna
28:20  And came a man from (the) farthest end (of) the city running. He said,O Musa! Indeed, the chiefs are taking counsel about you to kill you, so leave; indeed, I am to you of the sincere advisors.”
20. Wa jaaa’a rajulum min aqsal madeenati yas’aa qaala yaa Moosaaa innal mala a yaa tamiroona bika liyaqtulooka fakhruj innee laka minan naasiheen
21. فَخَرَجَ مِنْهَا خَائِفًا يَتَرَقَّبُ ۖ قَالَ رَبِّ نَجِّنِي مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ
Fakharaja Minhā Khā’ifāan Yataraqqabu Qāla Rabbi Najjinī Mina Al-Qawmi Až-Žālimīna
28:21  So he left from it fearing, (and) vigilant. He said, “My Lord! Save me from the people the wrongdoers.
21. Fakharaja minhaa khaaa ‘ifany-yataraqqab; qaala Rabbi najjinee minal qawmiz zaalimeen (section 2)
22. وَلَمَّا تَوَجَّهَ تِلْقَاءَ مَدْيَنَ قَالَ عَسَىٰ رَبِّي أَنْ يَهْدِيَنِي سَوَاءَ السَّبِيلِ
Wa Lammā Tawajjaha Tilqā’a Madyana Qāla `Asá Rabbī An Yahdiyanī Sawā’a As-Sabīl
28:22  And when he turned his face towards Madyan, he said,Perhaps my Lord [that] will guide me (to the) sound way.”
22. Wa lammaa tawajjaha tilqaaa’a Madyana qaala ‘asaa Rabbeee ai yahdiyanee Sawaaa’as Sabeel
23. وَلَمَّا وَرَدَ مَاءَ مَدْيَنَ وَجَدَ عَلَيْهِ أُمَّةً مِنَ النَّاسِ يَسْقُونَ وَوَجَدَ مِنْ دُونِهِمُ امْرَأَتَيْنِ تَذُودَانِ ۖ قَالَ مَا خَطْبُكُمَا ۖ قَالَتَا لَا نَسْقِي حَتَّىٰ يُصْدِرَ الرِّعَاءُ ۖ وَأَبُونَا شَيْخٌ كَبِيرٌ
Wa Lammā Warada Mā’a Madyana Wajada `Alayhi Ummatan Mina An-Nāsi Yasqūna Wa Wajada Min Dūnihimu Amra’tayni Tadhūdāni Qāla Mā Khaţbukumā Qālatā Nasqī Ĥattá Yuşdira Ar-Ri`ā’u Wa ‘Abūnā Shaykhun Kabīrun
28:23  And when he came (to the) water (of) Madyan, he found on it a group of men watering, and he found from besides them two women keeping back. He said,What (is the) matter with both of you?” They said,Not we can water until take away the shepherds; and our father (is) old man aged.”
23. Wa lammaa warada maaa’a Madyana wajada ‘alaihi ummatam minannaasi yasqoona wa wajada min doonihimum ra ataini tazoodaani qaala maa khatbukumaa qaalataa laa nasqee hatta yusdirar ri’aaa’u wa aboonaa shaikhun kabeer
24. فَسَقَىٰ لَهُمَا ثُمَّ تَوَلَّىٰ إِلَى الظِّلِّ فَقَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَا أَنْزَلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ
Fasaqá Lahumā Thumma Tawallá Ilá Až-Žilli Faqāla Rabbi Innī Limā Anzalta Ilayya Min Khayrin Faqīrun
28:24  So he watered for them. Then he turned back to the shade and said, My Lord! Indeed, I am of whatever You send to me of good (in) need.”
24. Fasaqaa lahumaa summa tawallaaa ilaz zilli faqaala Rabbi innee limaaa anzalta ilaiya min khairin faqeer
25. فَجَاءَتْهُ إِحْدَاهُمَا تَمْشِي عَلَى اسْتِحْيَاءٍ قَالَتْ إِنَّ أَبِي يَدْعُوكَ لِيَجْزِيَكَ أَجْرَ مَا سَقَيْتَ لَنَا ۚ فَلَمَّا جَاءَهُ وَقَصَّ عَلَيْهِ الْقَصَصَ قَالَ لَا تَخَفْ ۖ نَجَوْتَ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ
Fajā’at/huIĥdāhumā Tamshī `Alá Astiĥyā’in Qālat Inna Abī Yad`ūka Liyajziyaka Ajra Saqayta Lanā Falammā Jā’ahu Wa Qaşşa `Alayhi Al-Qaşaşa Qāla Takhaf Najawta Mina Al-Qawmi Až-Žālimīna
28:25  Then came to him one of the two women walking with shyness. She said,Indeed, my father calls you, that he may reward you (the) reward (for) what you watered for us.So when he came to him and narrated to him the story, he said, “(Do) not fear. You have escaped from the people the wrongdoers.
25. Fajaaa’at hu ihdaahumaa tamshee ‘alas tihyaaa’in qaalat inna abee yad’ooka li yajziyaka ajra maa saqaita lanaa; falammaa jaaa’ahoo wa qassa ‘alaihil qasasa qaala laa takhaf najawta minal qawmiz zaalimeen
26. قَالَتْ إِحْدَاهُمَا يَا أَبَتِ اسْتَأْجِرْهُ ۖ إِنَّ خَيْرَ مَنِ اسْتَأْجَرْتَ الْقَوِيُّ الْأَمِينُ
Qālat Iĥdāhumā Yā ‘Abati Asta’jirhu Inna Khayra Mani Asta’jarta Al-Qawīyu Al-‘Amīnu
28:26  Said one of them,O my father! Hire him. Indeed, (the) best whom you (can) hire (is) the strong, the trustworthy.”
26. Qaalat ihdaahumaa yaaa abatis taajirhu inna khaira manistaajartal qawiyyul ameen
27. قَالَ إِنِّي أُرِيدُ أَنْ أُنْكِحَكَ إِحْدَى ابْنَتَيَّ هَاتَيْنِ عَلَىٰ أَنْ تَأْجُرَنِي ثَمَانِيَ حِجَجٍ ۖ فَإِنْ أَتْمَمْتَ عَشْرًا فَمِنْ عِنْدِكَ ۖ وَمَا أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَيْكَ ۚ سَتَجِدُنِي إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
Qāla Innī Urīdu An Unkiĥaka Iĥdá Abnatayya Hātayni `Alá An Ta’juranī Thamāniyata Ĥijajin Fa’in Atmamta `Ashrāan Famin `Indika Wa Mā ‘Urīdu An Ashuqqa `Alayka Satajidunī In Shā’a Al-Lahu Mina Aş-Şāliĥīna
28:27  He said,Indeed, I [I] wish to marry you to one (of) my daughters (of) these two on that you serve me, (for) eight years; but if you complete ten, then from you. And not I wish to make it difficult for you. You will find me, if wills, Allah of the righteous.
27. Qaala innee ureedu an unkihaka ihdab nataiya haataini ‘alaaa an taajuranee samaaniya hijaj; fa in atmamta ‘ashran famin ‘indika wa maaa ureedu an ashuqqa ‘alaik; satajiduneee in shaaa’al laahu minas saaliheen
28. قَالَ ذَٰلِكَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ ۖ أَيَّمَا الْأَجَلَيْنِ قَضَيْتُ فَلَا عُدْوَانَ عَلَيَّ ۖ وَاللَّهُ عَلَىٰ مَا نَقُولُ وَكِيلٌ
Qāla Dhālika Baynī Wa BaynakaAyyamā Al-‘Ajalayni Qađaytu Falā `Udwāna `Alayya Wa Allāhu `Alá Naqūlu Wa Kīlun
28:28  He said,That (is) between me and between you. Whichever (of) the two terms I complete then no injustice to me, and Allah, over what we say (is) a Witness.”
28. Qaala zaalika bainee wa bainaka aiyamal ajalaini qadaitu falaa ‘udwaana ‘alaiya wallaahu ‘alaa ma naqoolu Wakeel (section 3)
29. فَلَمَّا قَضَىٰ مُوسَى الْأَجَلَ وَسَارَ بِأَهْلِهِ آنَسَ مِنْ جَانِبِ الطُّورِ نَارًا قَالَ لِأَهْلِهِ امْكُثُوا إِنِّي آنَسْتُ نَارًا لَعَلِّي آتِيكُمْ مِنْهَا بِخَبَرٍ أَوْ جَذْوَةٍ مِنَ النَّارِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَصْطَلُونَ
Falammā Qađá Mūsá Al-‘Ajala Wa Sāra Bi’ahlihiĀnasa Min Jānibi Aţ-Ţūri Nārāan Qāla Li’hlihi Amkuthū Innī Ānastu Nārāan La`allī Ātīkum Minhā Bikhabarin Aw Jadhwatin Mina An-Nāri La`allakum Taşţalūna
28:29  Then when fulfilled Musa the term and was traveling with his family, he saw in (the) direction (of) Mount Tur a fire. He said to his family,Stay here; indeed, I [I] perceive a fire. Perhaps I will bring you from there some information or a burning wood from the fire so that you may warm yourselves.
29. Falammmaa qadaa Moosal ajala wa saara bi ahliheee aanasa min jaanibit Toori naaran qaala li ahlihim kusooo inneee aanastu naaral la ‘alleee aateekum minhaa bikhabarin aw jazwatim minan naari la ‘allakum tastaloon
30. فَلَمَّا أَتَاهَا نُودِيَ مِنْ شَاطِئِ الْوَادِ الْأَيْمَنِ فِي الْبُقْعَةِ الْمُبَارَكَةِ مِنَ الشَّجَرَةِ أَنْ يَا مُوسَىٰ إِنِّي أَنَا اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ
Falammā Atāhā Nūdī Min Shāţi’i Al-Wādī Al-‘Aymani Fī Al-Buq`ati Al-Mubārakati Mina Ash-ShajaratiAn Yā Mūsá ‘Innī Anā Al-Lahu Rabbu Al-`Ālamīna
28:30  But when he came (to) it, he was called from (the) side (of) the valley the right in the place even, blessed, from the tree that, “O Musa! Indeed, I Am Allah, (the) Lord (of) the worlds.
30. Falammaaa ataahaa noodiya min shaati’il waadil aimani fil buq’atil muubaarakati minash shajarati ai yaa Moosaaa inneee Anal laahu Rabbul ‘aalameen
31. وَأَنْ أَلْقِ عَصَاكَ ۖ فَلَمَّا رَآهَا تَهْتَزُّ كَأَنَّهَا جَانٌّ وَلَّىٰ مُدْبِرًا وَلَمْ يُعَقِّبْ ۚ يَا مُوسَىٰ أَقْبِلْ وَلَا تَخَفْ ۖ إِنَّكَ مِنَ الْآمِنِينَ
Wa ‘AnAlqi `Aşāka Falammā Ra’āhā Tahtazzu Ka’annahā Jānnun Wallá Mudbirāan Wa Lam Yu`aqqib Yā Mūsá Aqbil Wa Lā Takhaf Innaka Mina Al-‘Āminīna
28:31  And [that] throw your staff.” But when he saw it moving as if it (were) a snake he turned (in) flight and (did) not return. “O Musa! Draw near and (do) not fear. Indeed, you (are) of the secure.
31. Wa an alqi ‘asaaka falam maa ra aahaa tahtazzu ka annnahaa jaaannunw wallaa mudbiranw wa lam yu’aqqib; yaa Moosaa aqbil wa laa takhaf innaka minal aamineen
32. اسْلُكْ يَدَكَ فِي جَيْبِكَ تَخْرُجْ بَيْضَاءَ مِنْ غَيْرِ سُوءٍ وَاضْمُمْ إِلَيْكَ جَنَاحَكَ مِنَ الرَّهْبِ ۖ فَذَانِكَ بُرْهَانَانِ مِنْ رَبِّكَ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَئِهِ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمًا فَاسِقِينَ
Asluk Yadaka Jaybika Takhruj Bayđā’a Min Ghayri Sū’in Wa AđmumIlayka Janāĥaka Mina Ar-Rahbi Fadhānika Burhānāni Min Rabbika Ilá Fir`awna Wa Mala’ihi ‘Innahum Kānū Qawmāan Fāsiqīna
28:32  Insert your hand in your bosom it will come forth white from without any harm. And draw to yourselves your hand against fear. So these (are) two evidences from your Lord, to Firaun and his chiefs. Indeed, they are a people defiantly disobedient.
32. Usluk yadaka fee jaibika takhruj baidaaa’a min ghairi sooo’inw wadmum ilaika janaahaka minar rahbi fazaanika burhaanaani mir Rabbika ilaa Fir’awna wa mala’ih; innahum kaanoo qawman faasiqeen
33. قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي قَتَلْتُ مِنْهُمْ نَفْسًا فَأَخَافُ أَنْ يَقْتُلُونِ
Qāla Rabbi Innī Qataltu Minhum Nafsāan Fa’akhāfuAn Yaqtulūni
28:33  He said,My Lord! Indeed, I killed of them a man, and I fear that they will kill me.
33. Qaala Rabbi innee qataltu minhum nafsan fa akhaafu ai yaqtuloon
34. وَأَخِي هَارُونُ هُوَ أَفْصَحُ مِنِّي لِسَانًا فَأَرْسِلْهُ مَعِيَ رِدْءًا يُصَدِّقُنِي ۖ إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ يُكَذِّبُونِ
Wa ‘Akhī Hārūnu Huwa Afşaĥu Minnī Lisānāan Fa’arsilhu Ma`iya Rid’āan Yuşaddiqunī ‘Innī Akhāfu An Yukadhdhibūni
28:34  And my brother Harun, he (is) more eloquent than me (in) speech, so send him with me (as) a helper, who will confirm me. Indeed, I fear that they will deny me.”
34. Wa akhee Haaroonu huwa afsahu minnee lisaanan fa arsilhu ma’iya rid ai yusaddiquneee innee akhaafu ai yukazziboon
35. قَالَ سَنَشُدُّ عَضُدَكَ بِأَخِيكَ وَنَجْعَلُ لَكُمَا سُلْطَانًا فَلَا يَصِلُونَ إِلَيْكُمَا ۚ بِآيَاتِنَا أَنْتُمَا وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَكُمَا الْغَالِبُونَ
Qāla Sanashuddu `Ađudaka Bi’akhīka Wa Naj`alu Lakumā Sulţānāan Falā Yaşilūna ‘Ilaykumā Bi’āyātinā ‘Antumā Wa Mani Attaba`akumā Al-Ghālibūna
28:35  He said, “We will strengthen your arm through your brother and We will make for both of you an authority, so not they will reach to both of you. Through Our Signs you two and (those) who follow you, (will) be the dominant.”
35. Qaala sanashuddu ‘adudaka bi akheeka wa naj’alu lakumaa sultaanan falaa yasiloona ilaikumaa; bi Aayaatinaa antumaa wa manit taba’akumal ghaaliboon
36. فَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ مُوسَىٰ بِآيَاتِنَا بَيِّنَاتٍ قَالُوا مَا هَٰذَا إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُفْتَرًى وَمَا سَمِعْنَا بِهَٰذَا فِي آبَائِنَا الْأَوَّلِينَ
Falammā Jā’ahum Mūsá Bi’āyātinā Bayyinātin Qālū Hādhā Illā Siĥrun Muftaráan Wa Mā Sami`nā Bihadhā Fī Ābā’inā Al-‘Awwalīna
28:36  But when came to them Musa with Our Signs clear, they said,Not (is) this except a magic invented, and not we heard of this among our forefathers (of) the former (people).”
36. Falammaa jaaa’ahum Moosaa bi Aayaatinaa baiyinaatin qaaloo maa haazaaa illaa sihrum muftaranw wa maa sami’naa bihaazaa feee aabaaa’inal awwaleen
37. وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰ رَبِّي أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ جَاءَ بِالْهُدَىٰ مِنْ عِنْدِهِ وَمَنْ تَكُونُ لَهُ عَاقِبَةُ الدَّارِ ۖ إِنَّهُ لَا يُفْلِحُ الظَّالِمُونَ
Wa Qāla Mūsá Rabbī A`lamu Biman Jā’a Bil-Hudá Min `Indihi Wa Man Takūnu Lahu `Āqibatu Ad-DāriInnahu Yufliĥu Až-Žālimūna
28:37  And said Musa, “My Lord knows best of who has come with [the] guidance from Him and whowill be for him in the Hereafter the good end Indeed, not will be successful the wrongdoers.”
37. Wa qaala Moosaa Rabbeee a’alamu biman jaaa’a bilhudaa min ‘indihee wa man takoonu lahoo ‘aaqibatud daari innahoo laa yuflihuz zaalimoon
38. وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ يَا أَيُّهَا الْمَلَأُ مَا عَلِمْتُ لَكُمْ مِنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرِي فَأَوْقِدْ لِي يَا هَامَانُ عَلَى الطِّينِ فَاجْعَلْ لِي صَرْحًا لَعَلِّي أَطَّلِعُ إِلَىٰ إِلَٰهِ مُوسَىٰ وَإِنِّي لَأَظُنُّهُ مِنَ الْكَاذِبِينَ
Wa Qāla Fir`awnu Yā ‘Ayyuhā Al-Mala’u `Alimtu Lakum Min Ilahin Ghayrī Fa’awqid  Yā Hāmānu `Alá Aţ-Ţīni Fāj`al  Şarĥāan La`allī ‘Aţţali`uIlá Ilahi Mūsá Wa ‘Innī La’ažunnuhu Mina Al-Kādhibīna
28:38  And said Firaun O chiefs! Not I know for you any god other than me. So kindle for me O Haman! Upon the clay and make, for me a lofty tower so that [I] I may look at (the) God (of) Musa. And indeed, I [I] think that he (is) of the liars.
38. Wa qaala Fir’awnu yaaa aiyuhal mala-u maa ‘alimtu lakum min ilaahin ghairee fa awqid lee yaa Haamaanu ‘alatteeni faj’al lee sarhal la’alleee attali’u ilaaa ilaahi Moosaa wa innee la azunnuhoo minal kaazibeen
39. وَاسْتَكْبَرَ هُوَ وَجُنُودُهُ فِي الْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَظَنُّوا أَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْنَا لَا يُرْجَعُونَ
Wa Astakbara Huwa Wa Junūduhu Fī Al-‘Arđi Bighayri Al-Ĥaqqi Wa Žannū ‘Annahum Ilaynā Yurja`ūna
28:39  And he (was) arrogant him and his hosts in the land without right, and they thought that they to Us not will be returned.
39. Wastakbara huwa wa junooduhoo fil ardi bighairil haqqi wa zannooo annahum ilainaa laa yurja’oon
40. فَأَخَذْنَاهُ وَجُنُودَهُ فَنَبَذْنَاهُمْ فِي الْيَمِّ ۖ فَانْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الظَّالِمِينَ
Fa’akhadhnāhu Wa Junūdahu Fanabadhnāhum Fī Al-Yammi Fānžur Kayfa Kāna `Āqibatu Až-Žālimīna
28:40  So We seized him and his hosts, and We threw them in the sea. So see how was (the) end (of) the wrongdoers.
40. Fa akhaznaahu wa junoo dahoo fanabaznaahum fil yammi fanzur kaifa kaana ‘aaqibatuz zaalimeen
41. وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ أَئِمَّةً يَدْعُونَ إِلَى النَّارِ ۖ وَيَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ لَا يُنْصَرُونَ
Wa Ja`alnāhum ‘A’immatan Yad`ūna Ilá An-Nāri Wa Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Yunşarūna
28:41  And We made them leaders inviting to the Fire, and (on the) Day (of) the Resurrection not they will be helped.
41. Wa ja’alnaahum a’immatany yad’oona ilan Naari wa Yawmal Qiyaamati laa yunsaroon
42. وَأَتْبَعْنَاهُمْ فِي هَٰذِهِ الدُّنْيَا لَعْنَةً ۖ وَيَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ هُمْ مِنَ الْمَقْبُوحِينَ
Wa ‘Atba`nāhum Hadhihi Ad-Dunyā La`natan Wa Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Hum Mina Al-Maqbūĥīna
28:42  And We caused to follow them in this world a curse, and (on the) Day (of) the Resurrection they (will be) of the despised.
42. Wa atba’naahum fee haazihid dunyaa la’natanw wa Yawmal Qiyaamati hum minal maqbooheen (section 4)
43. وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا أَهْلَكْنَا الْقُرُونَ الْأُولَىٰ بَصَائِرَ لِلنَّاسِ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةً لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
Wa Laqad Ātaynā Mūsá Al-Kitāba Min Ba`di Mā Ahlaknā Al-Qurūna Al-‘Ūlá Başā’ira Lilnnāsi Wa Hudáan Wa Raĥmatan La`allahum Yatadhakkarūna
28:43  And verily, We gave Musa the Scripture, from after what We had destroyed the generations former (as) an enlightenment for the mankind and a guidance and mercy that they may remember.
43. Wa laqad aatainaa Moosal Kitaaba mim ba’di maaa ahlaknal quroonal oolaa basaaa’ira linnaasi wa hudanw wa rahmatal la’allahum yata zakkkaroon
44. وَمَا كُنْتَ بِجَانِبِ الْغَرْبِيِّ إِذْ قَضَيْنَا إِلَىٰ مُوسَى الْأَمْرَ وَمَا كُنْتَ مِنَ الشَّاهِدِينَ
Wa Mā Kunta Bijānibi Al-Gharbīyi Idh Qađaynā Ilá Mūsá Al-‘Amra Wa Mā Kunta Mina Ash-Shāhidīn
28:44  And not you were on (the) side western when We decreed to Musa the Commandment and not you were among the witnesses.
44. Wa maa kunta bijaanibil gharbiyyi iz qadainaaa ilaa Moosal amra wa maa kunta minash shaahideen
45. وَلَٰكِنَّا أَنْشَأْنَا قُرُونًا فَتَطَاوَلَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْعُمُرُ ۚ وَمَا كُنْتَ ثَاوِيًا فِي أَهْلِ مَدْيَنَ تَتْلُو عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتِنَا وَلَٰكِنَّا كُنَّا مُرْسِلِينَ
Wa Lakinnā ‘Ansha’nā Qurūnāan Fataţāwala `Alayhimu Al-`Umuru Wa Mā Kunta Thāwīāan Fī Ahli Madyana Tatlū `Alayhim Āyātinā Wa Lakinnā Kunnā Mursilīna
28:45  But We [We] produced generations and prolonged for them the life. And not you were a dweller among (the) people (of) Madyan, reciting to them Our Verses, but We [We] were the Senders.
45. Wa laakinnaa anshaanaa quroonan fatataawala ‘alaihimul ‘umur; wa maa kunta saawiyan feee ahli Madyana tatloo ‘alaihim Aayaatinaa wa laakinnaa kunnaa mursileen
46. وَمَا كُنْتَ بِجَانِبِ الطُّورِ إِذْ نَادَيْنَا وَلَٰكِنْ رَحْمَةً مِنْ رَبِّكَ لِتُنْذِرَ قَوْمًا مَا أَتَاهُمْ مِنْ نَذِيرٍ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
Wa Mā Kunta Bijānibi Aţ-ŢūriIdh Nādaynā Wa Lakin Raĥmatan Min Rabbika Litundhira Qawmāan Mā Atāhum Min Nadhīrin Min Qablika La`allahum Yatadhakkarūna
28:46  And not you were at (the) side (of) the Tur when We called. But (as) a mercy from your Lord so that you warn a people not (had) come to them any warner from before you so that they may remember.
46. Wa maa kunta bijaanibit Toori iz naadainaa wa laakir rahmatam mir Rabbika litunzira qawmam maaa ataahum min nazeerim min qablika la’allahum yatazakkaroon
47. وَلَوْلَا أَنْ تُصِيبَهُمْ مُصِيبَةٌ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ فَيَقُولُوا رَبَّنَا لَوْلَا أَرْسَلْتَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولًا فَنَتَّبِعَ آيَاتِكَ وَنَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Wa Lawlā ‘An Tuşībahum Muşībatun Bimā Qaddamat Aydīhim Fayaqūlū Rabbanā Lawlā Arsalta Ilaynā Rasūlāan Fanattabi`a Āyātika Wa Nakūna Mina Al-Mu’uminīna
28:47  And if not [that] struck them a disaster for what had sent forth their hands and they would say, “Our Lord! Why not You sent to us a Messenger so we (could have) followed Your Verses and we (would) have been of the believers?
47. Wa law laaa an tuseebahum museebatum bimaa qaddamat aideehim fa yaqooloo Rabbanaa law laaa arsalta ilainaa Rasoolan fanattabi’a Aayaatika wa nakoona minal mu’mineen
48. فَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمُ الْحَقُّ مِنْ عِنْدِنَا قَالُوا لَوْلَا أُوتِيَ مِثْلَ مَا أُوتِيَ مُوسَىٰ ۚ أَوَلَمْ يَكْفُرُوا بِمَا أُوتِيَ مُوسَىٰ مِنْ قَبْلُ ۖ قَالُوا سِحْرَانِ تَظَاهَرَا وَقَالُوا إِنَّا بِكُلٍّ كَافِرُونَ
Falammā Jā’ahumu Al-Ĥaqqu Min `Indinā Qālū Lawlā Ūtiya Mithla Mā Ūtiya Mūsá Awalam Yakfurū Bimā Ūtiya Mūsá Min Qablu Qālū Siĥrāni Tažāharā Wa Qālū Innā Bikullin Kāfirūna
28:48  But when came to them the truth from us they said,Why not he was given (the) like (of) what was given (to) Musa?” Did not they disbelieve in what was given (to) Musa from before? They said,Two magic (works) supporting each other.” And they said,Indeed, we in all (are) disbelievers.
48. Falammaa jaaa’ahumul haqqu min ‘indinaa qaaloo law laa ootiya misla maaa ootiyaa Moosaa; awalam yakfuroo bimaaa ootiya Moosaa min qablu qaaloo sihraani tazaaharaa wa qaalooo innaa bikullin kaafiroon
49. قُلْ فَأْتُوا بِكِتَابٍ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ هُوَ أَهْدَىٰ مِنْهُمَا أَتَّبِعْهُ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ
Qul Fa’tū Bikitābin Min `Indi Al-Lahi Huwa Ahdá Minhumā ‘Attabi`huIn Kuntum Şādiqīna
28:49  Say, “Then bring a Book from that (of) Allah, which (is) a better guide than both of them that I may follow it, if you are truthful.”
49. Qul faatoo bi Kitaabim min ‘indil laahi huwa ahdaa minhu maaa attabi’hu in kuntum saadiqeen
50. فَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا لَكَ فَاعْلَمْ أَنَّمَا يَتَّبِعُونَ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ ۚ وَمَنْ أَضَلُّ مِمَّنِ اتَّبَعَ هَوَاهُ بِغَيْرِ هُدًى مِنَ اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ
Fa’in Lam Yastajībū Laka Fā`lam Annamā Yattabi`ūnaAhwā’ahum Wa Man Ađallu Mimmani Attaba`a Hawāhu Bighayri Hudáan Mina Al-Lahi ‘Inna Al-Laha Yahdī Al-Qawma Až-Žālimīna
28:50  But if not they respond to you, then know that only they follow their desires. And who (is) more astray than (one) who follows his own desire without guidance from Allah? Indeed, Allah (does) not guide the peoplethe wrongdoers.
50. Fa il lam yastajeeboo laka fa’lam annamaa yattabi’oona ahwaaa’ahum; wa man adallu mimmanit taba’a hawaahu bighari hudam minal laah; innal laaha laa yahdil qawmaz zaalimeen (section 5)
51. وَلَقَدْ وَصَّلْنَا لَهُمُ الْقَوْلَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
Wa Laqad Waşşalnā Lahumu Al-Qawla La`allahum Yatadhakkarūna
28:51  And indeed, We have conveyed to them the Word so that they may remember.
51. Wa laqad wassalnaa lahumul qawla la’allahum yatazakkaroon
52. الَّذِينَ آتَيْنَاهُمُ الْكِتَابَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِ هُمْ بِهِ يُؤْمِنُونَ
Al-LadhīnaĀtaynāhumu Al-Kitāba Min Qablihi Hum Bihi Yu’uminūna
28:52  Those who, We gave them the Scripture from before it, they in it believe.
52. Allazeena aatainaahu mul Kitaaba min qablihee hum bihee yu’minoon
53. وَإِذَا يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ قَالُوا آمَنَّا بِهِ إِنَّهُ الْحَقُّ مِنْ رَبِّنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا مِنْ قَبْلِهِ مُسْلِمِينَ
Wa ‘Idhā Yutlá `Alayhim Qālū Āmannā Bihi Innahu Al-Ĥaqqu Min Rabbinā Innā Kunnā Min Qablihi Muslimīna
28:53  And when it is recited to them they say,We believe in it. Indeed, it (is) the truth from our Lord. Indeed, we [we] were from before it Muslims.”
53. Wa izaa yutlaa ‘alaihim qaaloo aamannaa biheee innahul haqqu mir rabbinaaa innaa kunnaa min qablihee muslimeen
54. أُولَٰئِكَ يُؤْتَوْنَ أَجْرَهُمْ مَرَّتَيْنِ بِمَا صَبَرُوا وَيَدْرَءُونَ بِالْحَسَنَةِ السَّيِّئَةَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنْفِقُونَ
‘Ūlā’ika Yu’utawnaAjrahum Marratayni Bimā Şabarū Wa Yadra’ūna Bil-Ĥasanati As-Sayyi’ata Wa Mimmā Razaqnāhum Yunfiqūna
28:54  Those will be given their reward twice because they are patient and they repel with goodthe evil and from what We have provided them they spend.
54. Ulaaa’ika yu’tawna ajrahum marratayni bimaa sabaroo wa yadra’oona bil hasanatis saiyi’ata wa mimmmaa razaq naahum yunfiqoon
55. وَإِذَا سَمِعُوا اللَّغْوَ أَعْرَضُوا عَنْهُ وَقَالُوا لَنَا أَعْمَالُنَا وَلَكُمْ أَعْمَالُكُمْ سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكُمْ لَا نَبْتَغِي الْجَاهِلِينَ
Wa ‘Idhā Sami`ū Al-LaghwaA`rađū `Anhu Wa Qālū Lanā ‘A`mālunā Wa Lakum ‘A`mālukum Salāmun `Alaykum Nabtaghī Al-Jāhilīna
28:55  And when they hear vain talk, they turn away from it and say,For us our deeds and for you your deeds. Peace (be) on you; not we seek the ignorant.”
55. Wa izaa sami’ul laghwa a’radoo ‘anhu wa qaaloo lanaaa a’maalunaa wa lakum a’maalukum salaamun ‘alaikum laa nabtaghil jaahileen
56. إِنَّكَ لَا تَهْدِي مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ وَلَٰكِنَّ اللَّهَ يَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۚ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِالْمُهْتَدِينَ
Innaka Tahdī Man Aĥbabta Wa Lakinna Al-Laha Yahdī Man Yashā’u Wa HuwaA`lamu Bil-Muhtadīna
28:56  Indeed, you (can) not guide whom you love, but Allah guides whom He wills. And He (is) most knowing (of) the guided ones.
56. Innaka laa tahdee man ahbabta wa laakinn Allaha yahdee mai yashaaa’; wa huwa a’lamu bil muhtadeen
57. وَقَالُوا إِنْ نَتَّبِعِ الْهُدَىٰ مَعَكَ نُتَخَطَّفْ مِنْ أَرْضِنَا ۚ أَوَلَمْ نُمَكِّنْ لَهُمْ حَرَمًا آمِنًا يُجْبَىٰ إِلَيْهِ ثَمَرَاتُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ رِزْقًا مِنْ لَدُنَّا وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
Wa Qālū In Nattabi`i Al-Hudá Ma`aka Nutakhaţţaf Min Arđinā Awalam Numakkin Lahum Ĥaramāan Āmināan Yujbá Ilayhi Thamarātu Kulli Shay’in Rizqāan Min Ladunnā Wa LakinnaAktharahum Ya`lamūna
28:57  And they say,If we follow the guidance with you, we would be swept from our land.” Have not We established for them a sanctuary secure, are brought to it fruits (of) all things, a provision from Us? But most of them (do) not know.
57. Wa qaalooo in nattabi’il hudaa ma’aka nutakhattaf min ardinaa; awalam numakkkil lahum haraman aaminany yujbaaa ilaihi samaraatu kulli shai’ir rizqam mil ladunnaa wa laakinna aksarahum laa ya’lamoon
58. وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِنْ قَرْيَةٍ بَطِرَتْ مَعِيشَتَهَا ۖ فَتِلْكَ مَسَاكِنُهُمْ لَمْ تُسْكَنْ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا ۖ وَكُنَّا نَحْنُ الْوَارِثِينَ
Wa KamAhlaknā Min Qaryatin Baţirat Ma`īshatahā Fatilka Masākinuhum Lam Tuskan Min Ba`dihimIllā Qalīlāan Wa Kunnā Naĥnu Al-Wārithīna
28:58  And how many We have destroyed of a town which exulted, (in) its means of livelihood. And these (are) their dwellings not have been inhabited from after them except a little. And indeed, [We] We (are) the inheritors.
58. Wa kam ahlaknaa min qaryatim batirat ma’eeshatahaa fatilka masaakinuhum lam tuskam mim ba’dihim illaa qaleelaa; wa kunnaa Nahnul waariseen
59. وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ مُهْلِكَ الْقُرَىٰ حَتَّىٰ يَبْعَثَ فِي أُمِّهَا رَسُولًا يَتْلُو عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتِنَا ۚ وَمَا كُنَّا مُهْلِكِي الْقُرَىٰ إِلَّا وَأَهْلُهَا ظَالِمُونَ
Wa Mā Kāna Rabbuka Muhlika Al-Qurá Ĥattá Yab`atha Fī Ummihā Rasūlāan Yatlū `AlayhimĀyātinā Wa Mā Kunnā Muhlikī Al-Qurá ‘Illā Wa ‘Ahluhā Žālimūna
28:59  And not was your Lord (the) one to destroy the towns until He (had) sent in their mother (town) a Messenger reciting to them Our Verses. And not We would be (the) one to destroy the towns except while their people (were) wrongdoers.
59. Wa maa kaana Rabbuka muhlikal quraa hattaa yab’asa feee ummihaa Rasoolany yatloo ‘alaihim aayaatina; wa maa kunnaa muhlikil quraaa illaa wa ahluhaa zaalimoon
60. وَمَا أُوتِيتُمْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ فَمَتَاعُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَزِينَتُهَا ۚ وَمَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰ ۚ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ
Wa Mā ‘Ūtītum Min Shay’in Famatā`u Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Wa Zīnatuhā Wa Mā `Inda Al-Lahi Khayrun Wa ‘Abqá ‘Afalā Ta`qilūna
28:60  And whatever you have been given from things, (is) an enjoyment (of the) life (of) the world and its adornment. And what (is) with Allah, (is) better and the lasting So (will) not you use intellect?
60. Wa maaa ooteetum min shai’in famataa’ul hayaatid dunyaa wa zeenatuhaa; wa maa ‘indal laahi khairunw wa abqaa; afalaa ta’qiloon (section 6)
61. أَفَمَنْ وَعَدْنَاهُ وَعْدًا حَسَنًا فَهُوَ لَاقِيهِ كَمَنْ مَتَّعْنَاهُ مَتَاعَ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ثُمَّ هُوَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنَ الْمُحْضَرِينَ
Afaman Wa`adnāhu Wa`dāan Ĥasanāan Fahuwa Lāqīhi Kaman Matta`nāhu Matā`a Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Thumma Huwa Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Mina Al-Muĥđarīna
28:61  Then is (he) whom We have promised him a promise good, and he (will) meet it, like (the one) whom We provided him enjoyment (of the) life (of) the world then he (on the) Day (of) the Resurrection (will be) among those presented?
61. Afamanw wa’adnaahu wa’dan hasanan fahuwa laaqeehi kamam matta’naahu mataa’al hayaatid dunyaa summa huwa Yawmal Qiyaamati minal muhdareen
62. وَيَوْمَ يُنَادِيهِمْ فَيَقُولُ أَيْنَ شُرَكَائِيَ الَّذِينَ كُنْتُمْ تَزْعُمُونَ
Wa Yawma Yunādīhim Fayaqūlu Ayna Shurakā’iya Al-Ladhīna Kuntum Taz`umūna
28:62  And (the) Day He will call them and say,Where, (are) My partners whom you used (to) claim?”
62. Wa Yawma yunaadeehim fa-yaqoolu aina shurakaaa ‘iyal lazeena kuntum taz’umoon
63. قَالَ الَّذِينَ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقَوْلُ رَبَّنَا هَٰؤُلَاءِ الَّذِينَ أَغْوَيْنَا أَغْوَيْنَاهُمْ كَمَا غَوَيْنَا ۖ تَبَرَّأْنَا إِلَيْكَ ۖ مَا كَانُوا إِيَّانَا يَعْبُدُونَ
Qāla Al-Ladhīna Ĥaqqa `Alayhimu Al-Qawlu Rabbanā Hā’uulā’ Al-LadhīnaAghwaynā Aghwaynāhum Kamā Ghawaynā Tabarra’nā Ilayka Kānū Īyānā Ya`budūna
28:63  (Will) say those – (has) come true against whom the Word,Our Lord! These (are) those whom we led astray. We led them astray as we were astray. We declare our innocence before You. Not they used (to) us worship.”
63. Qaalal lazeena haqqa ‘alaihimul qawlu Rabbanaa haaa’ulaaa’il lazeena aghwainaa aghwainaahu kamaa ghawainaa tabarraanaaa ilaika maa kaanoo iyyaanaa ya’budoon
64. وَقِيلَ ادْعُوا شُرَكَاءَكُمْ فَدَعَوْهُمْ فَلَمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا لَهُمْ وَرَأَوُا الْعَذَابَ ۚ لَوْ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يَهْتَدُونَ
Wa Qīla Ad`ū Shurakā’akum Fada`awhum Falam Yastajībū Lahum Wa Ra’aw Al-`Adhāba Law Annahum Kānū Yahtadūna
28:64  And it will be said,Call your partners.” And they will call them, but not they will respond to them and they will see the punishment. If only [that] they had been guided!
64. Wa qeelad ‘oo shurakaaa’akum fada’awhum falam yastajeeboo lahum wa ra awul ‘azaab; law annahum kaanoo yahtadoon
65. وَيَوْمَ يُنَادِيهِمْ فَيَقُولُ مَاذَا أَجَبْتُمُ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
Wa Yawma Yunādīhim Fayaqūlu Mādhā Ajabtumu Al-Mursalīna
28:65  And (the) Day He will call them and say,What did you answer the Messengers?
65. Wa Yawma yunaadeehim fa yaqoolu maazaaa ajabtumul mursaleen
66. فَعَمِيَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الْأَنْبَاءُ يَوْمَئِذٍ فَهُمْ لَا يَتَسَاءَلُونَ
Fa`amiyat `Alayhimu Al-‘Anbā’u Yawma’idhin Fahum Yatasā’alūna
28:66  But (will) be obscure to them the information that day, so they not will ask one another.
66. Fa’amiyat ‘alaihimul ambaaa’u Yawma’izin fahum laa yatasaaa’aloon
67. فَأَمَّا مَنْ تَابَ وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَعَسَىٰ أَنْ يَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُفْلِحِينَ
Fa’ammā Man Tāba Wa ‘Āmana Wa `Amila Şāliĥāan Fa`asá An Yakūna Mina Al-Mufliĥīna
28:67  But as for (him) who repented and believed, and did righteousness, then perhaps [that] he will be of the successful ones.
67. Fa ammaa man taaba wa aamana wa ‘amila saalihan fa’asaaa ai yakoona minal mufliheen
68. وَرَبُّكَ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَاءُ وَيَخْتَارُ ۗ مَا كَانَ لَهُمُ الْخِيَرَةُ ۚ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَتَعَالَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
Wa Rabbuka Yakhluqu Yashā’u Wa Yakhtāru Kāna Lahumu Al-Khiyaratu Subĥāna Al-Lahi Wa Ta`ālá `Ammā Yushrikūna
28:68  And your Lord creates what He wills and chooses. Not they have for them the choice. Glory be (to) Allah and High is He above what they associate (with Him).
68. Wa Rabbuka yakhuluqu maa yashaaa’u wa yakhtaar; maa kaana lahumul khiyarah; Subhannal laahi wa Ta’aalaa ‘ammmaa yushrikoon
69. وَرَبُّكَ يَعْلَمُ مَا تُكِنُّ صُدُورُهُمْ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ
Wa Rabbuka Ya`lamu Tukinnu Şudūruhum Wa Mā Yu`linūna
28:69  And your Lord knows what conceals their breasts and what they declare.
69. Wa Rabbuka ya’lamu maa tukinnu sudooruhum wa maa yu’linoon
70. وَهُوَ اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ لَهُ الْحَمْدُ فِي الْأُولَىٰ وَالْآخِرَةِ ۖ وَلَهُ الْحُكْمُ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ
Wa Huwa Al-Lahu Lā Ilāha Illā Huwa Lahu Al-Ĥamdu Fī Al-‘Ūlá Wa Al-‘Ākhirati Wa Lahu Al-Ĥukmu Wa ‘Ilayhi Turja`ūna
28:70  And He (is) Allah; (there is) no god but He. To Him (are due) all praises in the first and the last. And for Him (is) the Decision, and to Him you will be returned.
70. Wa Huwal laahu laaa ilaaha illaa Huwa lahul hamdu fil oolaa wal Aakhirati wa lahul hukmu wa ilaihi turja’oon
71. قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمُ اللَّيْلَ سَرْمَدًا إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ مَنْ إِلَٰهٌ غَيْرُ اللَّهِ يَأْتِيكُمْ بِضِيَاءٍ ۖ أَفَلَا تَسْمَعُونَ
Qul Ara’aytumIn Ja`ala Al-Lahu `Alaykumu Al-Layla Sarmadāan Ilá Yawmi Al-Qiyāmati Man Ilahun Ghayru Al-Lahi Ya’tīkum Biđiyā’inAfalā Tasma`ūna
28:71  Say, “Have you seen if made Allah for you the night continuous till (the) Day (of) the Resurrection, who (is the) god besides Allah who could bring you light? Then will not you hear?
71. Qul ara’aitum in ja’alal laahu ‘alaikumul laila sarmadan ilaa Yawmil Qiyaamati man ilaahun ghairul laahi yaa teekum bidiyaaa’in afalaa tasma’oon
72. قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمُ النَّهَارَ سَرْمَدًا إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ مَنْ إِلَٰهٌ غَيْرُ اللَّهِ يَأْتِيكُمْ بِلَيْلٍ تَسْكُنُونَ فِيهِ ۖ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ
Qul Ara’aytumIn Ja`ala Al-Lahu `Alaykumu An-Nahāra Sarmadāan Ilá Yawmi Al-Qiyāmati Man Ilahun Ghayru Al-Lahi Ya’tīkum Bilaylin Taskunūna Fīhi Afalā Tubşirūna
28:72  Say, “Have you seen if made Allah for you the day continuous till (the) Day (of) the Resurrection, who (is the) god besides Allah who could bring you night (for) you (to) rest in it? Then will not you see?”
72. Qul ara’aitum in ja’alal laahu ‘alaikumun nahaara sarmadan ilaa Yawmil Qiyaamati man ilaahun ghairul laahi yaateekum bilailin taskunoona feehi afalaa tubsiroon
73. وَمِنْ رَحْمَتِهِ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ لِتَسْكُنُوا فِيهِ وَلِتَبْتَغُوا مِنْ فَضْلِهِ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
Wa Min Raĥmatihi Ja`ala Lakumu Al-Layla Wa An-Nahāra Litaskunū Fīhi Wa Litabtaghū Min Fađlihi Wa La`allakum Tashkurūna
28:73  And from His Mercy He made for you the night and the day, that you may rest therein and that you may seek from His Bounty, and so that you may be grateful.
73. Wa mir rahmatihee ja’ala lakumul laila wannahaara litaskunoo feehi wa litabtaghoo min fadlihee wa la’allakum tashkuroon
74. وَيَوْمَ يُنَادِيهِمْ فَيَقُولُ أَيْنَ شُرَكَائِيَ الَّذِينَ كُنْتُمْ تَزْعُمُونَ
Wa Yawma Yunādīhim Fayaqūlu Ayna Shurakā’iya Al-Ladhīna Kuntum Taz`umūna
28:74  And (the) Day He will call them and say,Where (are) My partners whom you used (to) claim?”
74. Wa Yawma yunaadeehim fa yaqoolu aina shurakaaa’iyal lazeena kuntum tazz’umoon
75. وَنَزَعْنَا مِنْ كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ شَهِيدًا فَقُلْنَا هَاتُوا بُرْهَانَكُمْ فَعَلِمُوا أَنَّ الْحَقَّ لِلَّهِ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ
Wa Naza`nā Min Kulli Ummatin Shahīdāan Faqulnā Hātū Burhānakum Fa`alimū ‘Anna Al-Ĥaqqa Lillahi Wa Đalla `Anhum  Kānū Yaftarūna
28:75  And We will draw forth from every nation a witness and We will say,Bring your proof?” Then they will know that the truth (is) for Allah and (will be) lost from them what they used (to) invent.
75. Wa naza’naa min kulli ummatin shaheedan faqulnaa haatoo burhaanakum fa’alimooo annal haqqa lillaahi wa dalla ‘anhum maa kaanoo yaftaroon (section 7)
76. إِنَّ قَارُونَ كَانَ مِنْ قَوْمِ مُوسَىٰ فَبَغَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ۖ وَآتَيْنَاهُ مِنَ الْكُنُوزِ مَا إِنَّ مَفَاتِحَهُ لَتَنُوءُ بِالْعُصْبَةِ أُولِي الْقُوَّةِ إِذْ قَالَ لَهُ قَوْمُهُ لَا تَفْرَحْ ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْفَرِحِينَ
Inna Qārūna Kāna Min Qawmi Mūsá Fabaghá `Alayhim Wa ‘Ātaynāhu Mina Al-Kunūzi Mā Inna Mafātiĥahu Latanū’u Bil-`Uşbati Ūlī Al-Qūwati Idh Qāla Lahu Qawmuhu Tafraĥ Inna Al-Laha Yuĥibbu Al-Fariĥīna
28:76  Indeed, Qarun, was from (the) people (of) Musa, but he oppressed [on] them. And We gave him of the treasures which indeed (the) keys of it would burden a company (of men) possessors of great strength. When said to him his people, “(Do) not exult. Indeed, Allah (does) not love the exultant.
76. Inna Qaaroona kaana min qawmi Moosaa fabaghaaa ‘alaihim wa aatainaahu minal kunoozi maaa inna mafaati hahoo latanooo’u bil’usbati ulil quwwati iz qaala lahoo qawmuhoo laa tafrah innal laahaa laa yuhibbul fariheen
77. وَابْتَغِ فِيمَا آتَاكَ اللَّهُ الدَّارَ الْآخِرَةَ ۖ وَلَا تَنْسَ نَصِيبَكَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا ۖ وَأَحْسِنْ كَمَا أَحْسَنَ اللَّهُ إِلَيْكَ ۖ وَلَا تَبْغِ الْفَسَادَ فِي الْأَرْضِ ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُفْسِدِينَ
Wa Abtaghi Fīmā Ātāka Al-Lahu Ad-Dāra Al-‘Ākhirata Wa Lā Tansa Naşībaka Mina Ad-Dunyā Wa ‘Aĥsin Kamā Aĥsana Al-Lahu ‘Ilayka Wa Lā Tabghi Al-Fasāda Fī Al-‘ArđiInna Al-Laha Yuĥibbu Al-Mufsidīna
28:77  But seek, through what has given you Allah, the home (of) the Hereafter, and (do) not forget your share of the world. And do good as has been good Allah to you. And (do) not seek corruption in the earth. Indeed, Allah (does) not love the corrupters.”
77. Wabtaghi feemaaa aataakal laahud Daaral Aakhirata wa laa tansa naseebaka minad dunyaa wa ahsin kamaaa ahsanal laahu ilaika wa laa tabghil fasaada fil ardi innal laaha laa yuhibbul mufsideen
78. قَالَ إِنَّمَا أُوتِيتُهُ عَلَىٰ عِلْمٍ عِنْدِي ۚ أَوَلَمْ يَعْلَمْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ أَهْلَكَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِ مِنَ الْقُرُونِ مَنْ هُوَ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُ قُوَّةً وَأَكْثَرُ جَمْعًا ۚ وَلَا يُسْأَلُ عَنْ ذُنُوبِهِمُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ
Qāla Innamā Ūtītuhu `Alá `Ilmin `Indī Awalam Ya`lamAnna Al-Laha Qad Ahlaka Min Qablihi Mina Al-Qurūni Man Huwa Ashaddu Minhu Qūwatan Wa ‘Aktharu Jam`āan Wa Lā Yus’alu `An Dhunūbihimu Al-Mujrimūna
28:78  He said,Only I have been given it on (account) (of) knowledge I have.Did not he know that Allah indeed destroyed from before him of the generations who [they] (were) stronger than him (in) strength and greater (in) accumulation. And not will be questioned about their sins the criminals.
78. Qaala innamaaa ootee tuhoo ‘alaa ‘ilmin ‘indeee; awalam ya’lam annal laaha qad ahlaka min qablihee minal qurooni man huwa ashaddu minhu quwwatanw wa aksaru jam’aa; wa laa yus’alu ‘an zunoobihimul mujrimoon
79. فَخَرَجَ عَلَىٰ قَوْمِهِ فِي زِينَتِهِ ۖ قَالَ الَّذِينَ يُرِيدُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا يَا لَيْتَ لَنَا مِثْلَ مَا أُوتِيَ قَارُونُ إِنَّهُ لَذُو حَظٍّ عَظِيمٍ
Fakharaja `Alá Qawmihi Zīnatihi Qāla Al-Ladhīna Yurīdūna Al-Ĥayāata Ad-Dunyā Yālayta Lanā Mithla Mā Ūtiya Qārūnu Innahu Ladhū Ĥažžin `Ažīmin
28:79  So he went forth to his people in his adornment. Said those who desire the life (of) the world,O! Would that for us (the) like (of) what has been given (to) Qarun. Indeed, he (is the) owner (of) fortune great.”
79. Fakharaja ‘alaa qawmihee fee zeenatih; qaalal lazeena yureedoonal hayaatad dunyaa yaalaita lanaa misla maaa ootiya Qaaroonu innahoo lazoo hazzin ‘azeem
80. وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ وَيْلَكُمْ ثَوَابُ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ لِمَنْ آمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا وَلَا يُلَقَّاهَا إِلَّا الصَّابِرُونَ
Wa Qāla Al-LadhīnaŪtū Al-`Ilma Waylakum Thawābu Al-Lahi Khayrun Liman Āmana Wa `Amila Şāliĥāan Wa Lā Yulaqqāhā Illā Aş-Şābirūna
28:80  But said those who were given the knowledge,Woe to you! (The) reward (of) Allah (is) better for (he) who believes and does righteous (deeds). And not it is granted except (to) the patient ones.”
80. Wa qaalal lazeena ootul ‘ilma wailakum sawaabul laahi khairul liman aamana wa ‘amila saalihaa; wa laa yulaq qaahaaa illas saabiroon
81. فَخَسَفْنَا بِهِ وَبِدَارِهِ الْأَرْضَ فَمَا كَانَ لَهُ مِنْ فِئَةٍ يَنْصُرُونَهُ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُنْتَصِرِينَ
Fakhasafnā Bihi Wa Bidārihi Al-‘Arđa Famā Kāna Lahu Min Fi’atin Yanşurūnahu Min Dūni Al-Lahi Wa Mā Kāna Mina Al-Muntaşirīna
28:81  Then We caused to swallow up, him and his home, the earth. Then not was for him any group (to) help him from besides Allah, and not was (he) of those who (could) defend themselves.
81. Fakhasafnaa bihee wa bidaarihil arda famaa kaana lahoo min fi’atiny yansuroo nahoo min doonil laahi wa maa kaana minal muntasireen
82. وَأَصْبَحَ الَّذِينَ تَمَنَّوْا مَكَانَهُ بِالْأَمْسِ يَقُولُونَ وَيْكَأَنَّ اللَّهَ يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ وَيَقْدِرُ ۖ لَوْلَا أَنْ مَنَّ اللَّهُ عَلَيْنَا لَخَسَفَ بِنَا ۖ وَيْكَأَنَّهُ لَا يُفْلِحُ الْكَافِرُونَ
Wa ‘Aşbaĥa Al-Ladhīna Tamannaw Makānahu Bil-‘Amsi Yaqūlūna Wayka’anna Al-Laha Yabsuţu Ar-Rizqa Liman Yashā’u Min `Ibādihi Wa Yaqdiru Lawlā An Manna Al-Lahu `Alaynā Lakhasafa Binā Wayka’annahu Yufliĥu Al-Kāfirūna
28:82  And began, those who (had) wished his position the day before (to) say, “Ah! That Allah extends the provision for whom He wills of His slaves, and restricts it. If not that had favored Allah [to] us He would have caused it to swallow us. Ah! That not will succeed the disbelievers.”
82. Wa asbahal lazeena tamannaw makaanahoo bil amsi yaqooloona waika annal laaha yabsutur rizqa limany ya shaaa’u min ‘ibaadihee wa yaqdiru law laaa am mannal laahu ‘alainaa lakhasafa binaa waika annahoo laa yuflihul kaafiroon (section 8)
83. تِلْكَ الدَّارُ الْآخِرَةُ نَجْعَلُهَا لِلَّذِينَ لَا يُرِيدُونَ عُلُوًّا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فَسَادًا ۚ وَالْعَاقِبَةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
Tilka Ad-Dāru Al-‘Ākhiratu Naj`aluhā Lilladhīna Yurīdūna `Ulūwāan Fī Al-‘Arđi Wa Lā Fasādāan Wa Al-`Āqibatu Lilmuttaqīna
28:83  That the Home (of) the Hereafter We assign it to those who (do) not desire exaltedness in the earth and not corruption. And the good end (is) for the righteous.
83. Tilkad Daarul Aakhiratu naj’aluhaa lillazeena laa yureedoona ‘uluwwan fil ardi wa laa fasaadaa; wal ‘aaqibatu lilmuttaqeen
84. مَنْ جَاءَ بِالْحَسَنَةِ فَلَهُ خَيْرٌ مِنْهَا ۖ وَمَنْ جَاءَ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ فَلَا يُجْزَى الَّذِينَ عَمِلُوا السَّيِّئَاتِ إِلَّا مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
Man Jā’a Bil-Ĥasanati Falahu Khayrun Minhā Wa Man Jā’a Bis-Sayyi’ati Falā Yujzá Al-Ladhīna `Amilū As-Sayyi’āti Illā Kānū Ya`malūna
28:84  Whoever comes with a good (deed) then for him, (will be) better than it; and whoever comes with an evil (deed) then not will be recompensed those who do the evil (deeds) except what they used (to) do.
84. Man jaaa’a bilhasanati falahoo khairum minhaa wa man jaaa’a bissaiyi’ati falaa yujzal lazeena ‘amilus saiyiaati illaa maa kaanoo ya’maloon
85. إِنَّ الَّذِي فَرَضَ عَلَيْكَ الْقُرْآنَ لَرَادُّكَ إِلَىٰ مَعَادٍ ۚ قُلْ رَبِّي أَعْلَمُ مَنْ جَاءَ بِالْهُدَىٰ وَمَنْ هُوَ فِي ضَلَالٍ مُبِينٍ
Inna Al-Ladhī Farađa `Alayka Al-Qur’āna Larādduka Ilá Ma`ādin Qul Rabbī A`lamu Man Jā’a Bil-Hudá Wa Man Huwa Đalālin Mubīnin
28:85  Indeed, He Who ordained upon you the Quran (will) surely take you back to a place of return. Say, “My Lord (is) most knowing (of him) who comes with the guidance, and whohe (is) in an error manifest.”
85. Innal lazee farada ‘alaikal Qur-aana laraaadduka ilaa ma’aad; qur Rabbeee a’lamu man jaaa’a bil hudaa wa man huwa fee dalaalim mubeen
86. وَمَا كُنْتَ تَرْجُو أَنْ يُلْقَىٰ إِلَيْكَ الْكِتَابُ إِلَّا رَحْمَةً مِنْ رَبِّكَ ۖ فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ ظَهِيرًا لِلْكَافِرِينَ
Wa Mā Kunta Tarjū An Yulqá Ilayka Al-KitābuIllā Raĥmatan Min Rabbika Falā Takūnanna Žahīrāan Lilkāfirīna
28:86  And not you were expecting that would be sent down to you the Book, except (as) a mercy from your Lord. So (do) not be an assistant to the disbelievers.
86. Wa maa kunta tarjooo ai yulqaaa ilaikal Kitaabu illaa rahmatan mir Rabbika falaa takoonanna zaheeral lil kaafireen
87. وَلَا يَصُدُّنَّكَ عَنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ بَعْدَ إِذْ أُنْزِلَتْ إِلَيْكَ ۖ وَادْعُ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ ۖ وَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ
Wa Lā Yaşuddunnaka `An Āyāti Al-Lahi Ba`daIdh Unzilat Ilayka Wa Ad`u Ilá Rabbika Wa Lā Takūnanna Mina Al-Mushrikīna
28:87  And (let) not avert you from (the) Verses (of) Allah after [when] they have been revealed to you. And invite (people) to your Lord. And (do) not be of the polytheists.
87. Wa laa yasuddunnaka ‘an Aayaatil laahi ba’da iz unzilat ilaika wad’u ilaa Rabbika wa laa takoonanna minal mushrikeen
88. وَلَا تَدْعُ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ ۘ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ هَالِكٌ إِلَّا وَجْهَهُ ۚ لَهُ الْحُكْمُ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ
Wa Lā Tad`u Ma`a Al-Lahi ‘Ilahāan Ākhara Lā Ilāha Illā Huwa Kullu Shay’in Hālikun Illā Wajhahu Lahu Al-Ĥukmu Wa ‘Ilayhi Turja`ūna
28:88  And (do) not invoke with Allah god other. (There is) no god except Him. Every thing (will be) destroyed except His Face. To Him (is) the Decision, and to Him you will be returned.
88. Wa laa tad’u ma’al laahi ilaahan aakhar; laaa ilaaha illaa Hoo; kullu shai’in haalikun illaa Wajhah; lahul hukkmu wa ilaihi turja’oon (section 9)
