31:1 Alif Lam Meem.
1. Alif-Laaam-Meeem
2. تِلْكَ آيَاتُ الْكِتَابِ الْحَكِيمِ
Tilka ‘Āyātu Al-Kitābi Al-Ĥakīmi
31:2 These (are) Verses (of) the Book the Wise,
2. Tilka Aayaatul Kitaabil Hakeem
3. هُدًى وَرَحْمَةً لِلْمُحْسِنِينَ
Hudáan Wa Raĥmatan Lilmuĥsinīna
31:3 A guidance and a mercy for the good-doers,
3. Hudanw wa rahmatal lilmuhsineen
4. الَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ وَهُمْ بِالْآخِرَةِ هُمْ يُوقِنُونَ
Al-Ladhīna Yuqīmūna Aş-Şalāata Wa Yu’utūna Az-Zakāata Wa Hum Bil-‘Ākhirati Hum Yūqinūna
31:4 Those who establish the prayer and give zakah and they, in the Hereafter, [they] believe firmly.
4. Allazeena yuqeemoonas Salaata wa yu’toonaz Zakaata wa hum bil Aakhirati hum yooqinoon
5. أُولَٰئِكَ عَلَىٰ هُدًى مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ ۖ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ
‘Ūlā’ika `Alá Hudáan Min Rabbihim Wa ‘Ūlā’ika Humu Al-Mufliĥūna
31:5 Those (are) on guidance from their Lord, and those [they] (are) the successful.
5. Ulaaa’ika ‘alaa hudam mir Rabbihim wa ulaaa’ika humul muflihoon
6. وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَشْتَرِي لَهْوَ الْحَدِيثِ لِيُضِلَّ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَيَتَّخِذَهَا هُزُوًا ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُهِينٌ
Wa Mina An-Nāsi Man Yashtarī Lahwa Al-Ĥadīthi Liyuđilla `An Sabīli Al-Lahi Bighayri `Ilmin Wa Yattakhidhahā Huzūan ‘Ūla’ika Lahum `Adhābun Muhīnun
31:6 And of the mankind (is he) who purchases, idle tales to mislead from (the) path (of) Allah without knowledge, and takes it (in) ridicule. Those for them (is) a punishment humiliating.
6. Wa minan naasi mai-yashtaree lahwal haddesi li yudilla ‘an sabeelil laahi bighairi ‘ilminw wa yattakhizahaa huzuwaa; ulaaa’ika lahum ‘azaabum muheen
7. وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ آيَاتُنَا وَلَّىٰ مُسْتَكْبِرًا كَأَنْ لَمْ يَسْمَعْهَا كَأَنَّ فِي أُذُنَيْهِ وَقْرًا ۖ فَبَشِّرْهُ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
Wa ‘Idhā Tutlá `Alayhi ‘Āyātunā Wallá Mustakbirāan Ka’an Lam Yasma`hā Ka’anna Fī ‘Udhunayhi Waqrāan Fabashshirhu Bi`adhābin ‘Alīmin
31:7 And when are recited to him Our Verses, he turns away arrogantly as if not he (had) heard them, as if in his ears (is) deafness. So give him tidings of a punishment painful.
7. Wa izaa tutlaa ‘alayhi Aayaatunaa wallaa mustakbiran ka al lam yasma’haa ka anna feee uzunaihi waqran fabash shiru bi’azaabin aleem
8. إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتُ النَّعِيمِ
‘Inna Al-Ladhīna ‘Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Lahum Jannātu An-Na`īmi
31:8 Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds, for them (are) Gardens (of) Delight,
8. Innal lazeena aamanoo wa ‘amilus saalihaati lahum Janaatun Na’eem
9. خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۖ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقًّا ۚ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ
Khālidīna Fīhā Wa`da Al-Lahi Ĥaqqāan Wa Huwa Al-`Azīzu Al-Ĥakīmu
31:9 (To) abide forever in it. (The) Promise (of) Allah (is) true. And He (is) the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.
9. Khaalideena feeha wa’dal laahi haqqaa; wa Huwal ‘Azeezul Hakeem
10. خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ بِغَيْرِ عَمَدٍ تَرَوْنَهَا ۖ وَأَلْقَىٰ فِي الْأَرْضِ رَوَاسِيَ أَنْ تَمِيدَ بِكُمْ وَبَثَّ فِيهَا مِنْ كُلِّ دَابَّةٍ ۚ وَأَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَأَنْبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِنْ كُلِّ زَوْجٍ كَرِيمٍ
Khalaqa As-Samāwāti Bighayri `Amadin Tarawnahā Wa ‘Alqá Fī Al-‘Arđi Rawāsiya ‘An Tamīda Bikum Wa Baththa Fīhā Min Kulli Dābbatin Wa ‘Anzalnā Mina As-Samā’i Mā’an Fa’anbatnā Fīhā Min Kulli Zawjin Karīmin
31:10 He created the heavens without pillars that you see and has cast in the earth firm mountains lest it (might) shake with you, and He dispersed in it from every creature. And We sent down from the sky water then We caused to grow therein of every kind noble.
10. Khalaqas samaawaati bi ghairi ‘amadin tarawnahaa wa alqaa fil ardi rawaasiya an tameeda bikum wa bassa feehaa min kulli daaabbah; wa anzalnaa minas samaaa’i maaa’an fa ambatnaa feeha min kulli zawjin kareem
11. هَٰذَا خَلْقُ اللَّهِ فَأَرُونِي مَاذَا خَلَقَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ دُونِهِ ۚ بَلِ الظَّالِمُونَ فِي ضَلَالٍ مُبِينٍ
Hādhā Khalqu Al-Lahi Fa’arūnī Mādhā Khalaqa Al-Ladhīna Min Dūnihi Bali Až-Žālimūna Fī Đalālin Mubīnin
31:11 This (is the) creation (of) Allah. So show Me what have created those from besides Him. Nay, the wrongdoers (are) in error clear.
11. Haazaa khalqul laahi fa aroonee maazaa khalaqal lazeena min doonih; baliz zaalimoona fee dalalim Mubeen (section 1)
12. وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا لُقْمَانَ الْحِكْمَةَ أَنِ اشْكُرْ لِلَّهِ ۚ وَمَنْ يَشْكُرْ فَإِنَّمَا يَشْكُرُ لِنَفْسِهِ ۖ وَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَنِيٌّ حَمِيدٌ
Wa Laqad ‘Ātaynā Luqmāna Al-Ĥikmata ‘Ani Ashkur Lillahi Wa Man Yashkur Fa’innamā Yashkuru Linafsihi Wa Man Kafara Fa’inna Al-Laha Ghanīyun Ĥamīdun
31:12 And verily, We gave Luqman the wisdom that, “Be grateful to Allah.” And whoever (is) grateful then only he is grateful for himself. And whoever (is) ungrateful, then indeed, Allah (is) Free of need, Praiseworthy.
12. Wa laqad aatainaa Luqmaanal hikmata anishkur lillaah; wa many yashkur fa innamaa yashkuru linafsihee wa man kafara fa innal laaha Ghaniyyun Hameed
13. وَإِذْ قَالَ لُقْمَانُ لِابْنِهِ وَهُوَ يَعِظُهُ يَا بُنَيَّ لَا تُشْرِكْ بِاللَّهِ ۖ إِنَّ الشِّرْكَ لَظُلْمٌ عَظِيمٌ
Wa ‘Idh Qāla Luqmānu Liābnihi Wa Huwa Ya`ižuhu Yā Bunayya Lā Tushrik Bil-Lahi ‘Inna Ash-Shirka Lažulmun `Ažīmun
31:13 And when said Luqman to his son while he (was) instructing him, “O my son! (Do) not associate partners with Allah. Indeed, associating partners (is) surely an injustice great.”
13. Wa iz qaala luqmaanu libnihee wa huwa ya’izuhoo ya bunaiya laa tushrik billaah; innash shirka lazulmun ‘azeem
14. وَوَصَّيْنَا الْإِنْسَانَ بِوَالِدَيْهِ حَمَلَتْهُ أُمُّهُ وَهْنًا عَلَىٰ وَهْنٍ وَفِصَالُهُ فِي عَامَيْنِ أَنِ اشْكُرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيْكَ إِلَيَّ الْمَصِيرُ
Wa Waşşaynā Al-‘Insāna Biwālidayhi Ĥamalat/hu ‘Ummuhu Wahnāan `Alá Wahnin Wa Fişāluhu Fī `Āmayni ‘Ani Ashkur Lī Wa Liwālidayka ‘Ilayya Al-Maşīru
31:14 And We have enjoined (upon) man for his parents – carried him his mother (in) weakness upon weakness, and his weaning (is) in two years that “Be grateful to Me and to your parents; towards Me (is) the destination.
14. Wa wassainal insaana bi waalidaihi hamalat hu ummuhoo wahnan ‘alaa wahninw wa fisaaluhoo fee ‘aamaini anishkur lee wa liwaalidaika ilaiyal maseer
15. وَإِنْ جَاهَدَاكَ عَلَىٰ أَنْ تُشْرِكَ بِي مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِ عِلْمٌ فَلَا تُطِعْهُمَا ۖ وَصَاحِبْهُمَا فِي الدُّنْيَا مَعْرُوفًا ۖ وَاتَّبِعْ سَبِيلَ مَنْ أَنَابَ إِلَيَّ ۚ ثُمَّ إِلَيَّ مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَأُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
Wa ‘In Jāhadāka `Alá ‘An Tushrika Bī Mā Laysa Laka Bihi `Ilmun Falā Tuţi`humā Wa Şāĥibhumā Fī Ad-Dunyā Ma`rūfāan Wa Attabi` Sabīla Man ‘Anāba ‘Ilayya Thumma ‘Ilayya Marji`ukum Fa’unabbi’ukum Bimā Kuntum Ta`malūna
31:15 But if they strive against you on that you associate partners with Me what not you have of it any knowledge, then (do) not obey both of them. But accompany them in the world (with) kindness, and follow (the) path (of him) who turns to Me. Then towards Me (is) your return, then I will inform you of what you used (to) do.”
15. Wa in jaahadaaka ‘alaaa an tushrika bee maa laisa laka bihee ‘ilmun falaa tuti’humaa wa saahib humaa fid dunyaa ma’roofanw wattabi’ sabeela man anaaba ilayy; summa ilaiya marji’ukum fa unabbi’ukum bimaa kuntum ta’maloon
16. يَا بُنَيَّ إِنَّهَا إِنْ تَكُ مِثْقَالَ حَبَّةٍ مِنْ خَرْدَلٍ فَتَكُنْ فِي صَخْرَةٍ أَوْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ أَوْ فِي الْأَرْضِ يَأْتِ بِهَا اللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَطِيفٌ خَبِيرٌ
Yā Bunayya ‘Innahā ‘In Takun Mithqāla Ĥabbatin Min Khardalin Fatakun Fī Şakhratin ‘Aw Fī As-Samāwāti ‘Aw Fī Al-‘Arđi Ya’ti Bihā Al-Lahu ‘Inna Al-Laha Laţīfun Khabīrun
31:16 “O my son! Indeed it, if it be (the) weight (of) a grain of a mustard seed, and it be in a rock or in the heavens or in the earth will bring forth it Allah. Indeed, Allah (is) All-Subtle, All-Aware.
16. Ya bunaiya innahaaa in taku misqaala habbatim min khardalin fatakun fee sakhratin aw fis samaawaati aw fil ardi yaati bi Allah; innal laaha lateefun Khabeer
17. يَا بُنَيَّ أَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ وَأْمُرْ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَانْهَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَاصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا أَصَابَكَ ۖ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ مِنْ عَزْمِ الْأُمُورِ
Yā Bunayya ‘Aqimi Aş-Şalāata Wa ‘Mur Bil-Ma`rūfi Wa Anha `Ani Al-Munkari Wa Aşbir `Alá Mā ‘Aşābaka ‘Inna Dhālika Min `Azmi Al-‘Umūri
31:17 O my son! Establish the prayer and enjoin [with] the right and forbid from the wrong, and be patient over what befalls you. Indeed, that (is) of the matters (of) determination.
17. Yaa bunaiya aqimis-Salaata waamur bilma’roofi wanha ‘anil munkari wasbir ‘alaa maaa asaabaka inna zaalika min ‘azmil umoor
18. وَلَا تُصَعِّرْ خَدَّكَ لِلنَّاسِ وَلَا تَمْشِ فِي الْأَرْضِ مَرَحًا ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ مُخْتَالٍ فَخُورٍ
Wa Lā Tuşa“ir Khaddaka Lilnnāsi Wa Lā Tamshi Fī Al-‘Arđi Maraĥāan ‘Inna Al-Laha Lā Yuĥibbu Kulla Mukhtālin Fakhūrin
31:18 And (do) not turn your cheek from men and (do) not walk in the earth exultantly. Indeed, Allah (does) not like every self-conceited boaster.
18. Wa laa tusa’-‘ir khaddaka linnaasi wa laa tamshi fil ardi maarahan innal laaha laa yuhibbu kulla mukhtaalin fakhoor
19. وَاقْصِدْ فِي مَشْيِكَ وَاغْضُضْ مِنْ صَوْتِكَ ۚ إِنَّ أَنْكَرَ الْأَصْوَاتِ لَصَوْتُ الْحَمِيرِ
Wāqşid Fī Mashyika Wa Aghđuđ Min Şawtika ‘Inna ‘Ankara Al-‘Aşwāti Laşawtu Al-Ĥamīri
31:19 And be moderate in your pace and lower [of] your voice. Indeed, (the) harshest (of all) sounds (is) surely (the) voice (of) the donkeys.”
19. Waqsid fee mashyika waghdud min sawtik; inna ankaral aswaati lasawtul hameer (section 2)
20. أَلَمْ تَرَوْا أَنَّ اللَّهَ سَخَّرَ لَكُمْ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَأَسْبَغَ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعَمَهُ ظَاهِرَةً وَبَاطِنَةً ۗ وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يُجَادِلُ فِي اللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَلَا هُدًى وَلَا كِتَابٍ مُنِيرٍ
‘Alam Taraw ‘Anna Al-Laha Sakhkhara Lakum Mā Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Mā Fī Al-‘Arđi Wa ‘Asbagha `Alaykum Ni`amahu Žāhiratan Wa Bāţinatan Wa Mina An-Nāsi Man Yujādilu Fī Al-Lahi Bighayri `Ilmin Wa Lā Hudáan Wa Lā Kitābin Munīrin
31:20 Do not you see that Allah has subjected to you whatever (is) in the heavens and whatever (is) in the earth and amply bestowed upon you His Bounties apparent and hidden? But of the people (is he) who disputes about Allah without knowledge, and not guidance and not a book enlightening.
20. Alam taraw annal laaha sakhkhara lakum maa fis sa maawaati wa maa fil ardi wa asbagha ‘alaikum ni’amahoo zaahiratanw wa baatinah; wa minan naasi many yujaadilu fil laahi bighayri ‘ilminw wa laa hudanw wa laa Kitaabim muneer
21. وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ اتَّبِعُوا مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ قَالُوا بَلْ نَتَّبِعُ مَا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَنَا ۚ أَوَلَوْ كَانَ الشَّيْطَانُ يَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَىٰ عَذَابِ السَّعِيرِ
Wa ‘Idhā Qīla Lahumu Attabi`ū Mā ‘Anzala Al-Lahu Qālū Bal Nattabi`u Mā Wajadnā `Alayhi ‘Ābā’anā ‘Awalaw Kāna Ash-Shayţānu Yad`ūhum ‘Ilá `Adhābi As-Sa`īri
31:21 And when it is said to them, “Follow what (has) revealed,” Allah,” they say, “Nay, we will follow what we found on it our forefathers.” Even if was Shaitaan (to) call them to (the) punishment (of) the Blaze!
21. Wa izaa qeela lahumut-tabi’oo maaa anzalal laahu qaaloo bal nattabi’u maa wajadnaa ‘alaihi aabaaa’anaa; awalaw kaanash Shaitaanu yad’oohum ilaa ‘azaabis sa’eer
22. وَمَنْ يُسْلِمْ وَجْهَهُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَهُوَ مُحْسِنٌ فَقَدِ اسْتَمْسَكَ بِالْعُرْوَةِ الْوُثْقَىٰ ۗ وَإِلَى اللَّهِ عَاقِبَةُ الْأُمُورِ
Wa Man Yuslim Wajhahu ‘Ilá Al-Lahi Wa Huwa Muĥsinun Faqadi Astamsaka Bil-`Urwati Al-Wuthqá Wa ‘Ilá Al-Lahi `Āqibatu Al-‘Umūri
31:22 And whoever submits his face to Allah while he (is) a good-doer, then indeed, he has grasped the handhold the most trustworthy. And to Allah (is the) end (of) the matters.
22. Wa many yuslim wajha hooo ilal laahi wa huwa muhsinun faqadistamsaka bil’ur watil wusqaa; wa ilal laahi ‘aaqibatul umoor
23. وَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَلَا يَحْزُنْكَ كُفْرُهُ ۚ إِلَيْنَا مَرْجِعُهُمْ فَنُنَبِّئُهُمْ بِمَا عَمِلُوا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ
Wa Man Kafara Falā Yaĥzunka Kufruhu ‘Ilaynā Marji`uhum Fanunabbi’uhum Bimā `Amilū ‘Inna Al-Laha `Alīmun Bidhāti Aş-Şudūri
31:23 And whoever disbelieves, let not grieve you his disbelief. To Us (is) their return, then We will inform them of what they did. Indeed, Allah (is) the All-Knower of what (is in) the breasts.
23. Wa man kafara falaa yahzunka kufruh; ilainaa marji’uhum fanunabbi’uhum bimaa ‘amiloo; innal laaha ‘aleemum bizaatis sudoor
24. نُمَتِّعُهُمْ قَلِيلًا ثُمَّ نَضْطَرُّهُمْ إِلَىٰ عَذَابٍ غَلِيظٍ
Numatti`uhum Qalīlāan Thumma Nađţarruhum ‘Ilá `Adhābin Ghalīžin
31:24 We grant them enjoyment (for) a little, then We will force them to a punishment severe.
24. Numatti’uhum qaleelan summa nadtarruhum ilaa ‘azaabin ghaleez
25. وَلَئِنْ سَأَلْتَهُمْ مَنْ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ اللَّهُ ۚ قُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ۚ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
Wa La’in Sa’altahum Man Khalaqa As-Samāwāti Wa Al-‘Arđa Layaqūlunna Al-Lahu Quli Al-Ĥamdu Lillahi Bal ‘Aktharuhum Lā Ya`lamūna
31:25 And if you ask them, “Who created the heavens and the earth?” They will surely say, “Allah.” Say, “All praises (are) for Allah.” But most of them (do) not know.
25. Wa la’in sa altahum man khalaqas samaawaati wal arda la yaqoolunnal laah; qulil hamdu lillaah; bal aksaruhum laa ya’lamoon
26. لِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْغَنِيُّ الْحَمِيدُ
Lillahi Mā Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Al-‘Arđi ‘Inna Al-Laha Huwa Al-Ghanīyu Al-Ĥamīdu
31:26 To Allah (belongs) whatever (is) in the heavens and the earth. Indeed, Allah, He (is) Free of need, the Praiseworthy.
26. Lillahi ma fis samaa waati wal ard; innal laaha Huwal Ghaniyyul Hameed
27. وَلَوْ أَنَّمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ مِنْ شَجَرَةٍ أَقْلَامٌ وَالْبَحْرُ يَمُدُّهُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ سَبْعَةُ أَبْحُرٍ مَا نَفِدَتْ كَلِمَاتُ اللَّهِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ
Wa Law ‘Annamā Fī Al-‘Arđi Min Shajaratin ‘Aqlāmun Wa Al-Baĥru Yamudduhu Min Ba`dihi Sab`atu ‘Abĥurin Mā Nafidat Kalimātu Al-Lahi ‘Inna Al-Laha `Azīzun Ĥakīmun
31:27 And if whatever (is) in the earth of (the) trees (were) pens and the sea, (to) add to it from after it seven seas, not would be exhausted (the) Words (of) Allah. Indeed, Allah (is) All-Mighty, All-Wise.
27. Wa law annamaa fil ardi min shajaratin aqlaamunw wal bahru yamudduhoo mim ba’dihee sab’atu abhurim maa nafidat Kalimaatul laah; innal laaha ‘azeezun Hakeem
28. مَا خَلْقُكُمْ وَلَا بَعْثُكُمْ إِلَّا كَنَفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ بَصِيرٌ
Mā Khalqukum Wa Lā Ba`thukum ‘Illā Kanafsin Wāĥidatin ‘Inna Al-Laha Samī`un Başīrun
31:28 Not (is) your creation and not your resurrection but as a soul single. Indeed, Allah (is) All-Hearer, All-Seer.
28. Maa khalqukum wa laa ba’sukum illaa kanafsinw-waa hidah; innal laaha Samee’um Baseer
29. أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يُولِجُ اللَّيْلَ فِي النَّهَارِ وَيُولِجُ النَّهَارَ فِي اللَّيْلِ وَسَخَّرَ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ كُلٌّ يَجْرِي إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرٌ
‘Alam Tará ‘Anna Al-Laha Yūliju Al-Layla Fī An-Nahāri Wa Yūliju An-Nahāra Fī Al-Layli Wa Sakhkhara Ash-Shamsa Wa Al-Qamara Kullun Yajrī ‘Ilá ‘Ajalin Musammáan Wa ‘Anna Al-Laha Bimā Ta`malūna Khabīrun
31:29 Do not you see that Allah causes to enter the night into the day, and causes to enter the day into the night and has subjected the sun and the moon, each moving for a term appointed, and that Allah of what you do (is) All-Aware.
29. Alam tara annal laaha yoolijul laila fin nahaari wa yoolijun nahaara fil laili wa sakhkharash shamsa wal qamara kulluny yajreee ilaaa ajalim musammanw wa annal laaha bimaa ta’maloona Khabeer
30. ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْحَقُّ وَأَنَّ مَا يَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِهِ الْبَاطِلُ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْكَبِيرُ
Dhālika Bi’anna Al-Laha Huwa Al-Ĥaqqu Wa ‘Anna Mā Yad`ūna Min Dūnihi Al-Bāţilu Wa ‘Anna Al-Laha Huwa Al-`Alīyu Al-Kabīru
31:30 That (is) because Allah, He (is) the Truth, and that what they call from besides Him (is) [the] falsehood, and that Allah, He (is) the Most High, the Most Great.
30. Zaalika bi annal laaha Huwal Haqqu wa anna maa yad’oona min doonihil baatilu wa annal laaha Huwal ‘Aliyyul Kabeer (section 3)
31. أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ الْفُلْكَ تَجْرِي فِي الْبَحْرِ بِنِعْمَتِ اللَّهِ لِيُرِيَكُمْ مِنْ آيَاتِهِ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِكُلِّ صَبَّارٍ شَكُورٍ
‘Alam Tará ‘Anna Al-Fulka Tajrī Fī Al-Baĥri Bini`mati Al-Lahi Liyuriyakum Min ‘Āyātihi ‘Inna Fī Dhālika La’āyātin Likulli Şabbārin Shakūrin
31:31 Do not you see that the ships sail through the sea by (the) Grace (of) Allah that He may show you of His Signs? Indeed, in that surely (are) Signs for everyone (who is) patient, grateful.
31. Alam tara annal fulka tajree fil bahri bini’matil laahi li yuriyakum min Aayaatih; inna fee zaalika la Aayaatil likulli sabbaarin shakoor
32. وَإِذَا غَشِيَهُمْ مَوْجٌ كَالظُّلَلِ دَعَوُا اللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ فَلَمَّا نَجَّاهُمْ إِلَى الْبَرِّ فَمِنْهُمْ مُقْتَصِدٌ ۚ وَمَا يَجْحَدُ بِآيَاتِنَا إِلَّا كُلُّ خَتَّارٍ كَفُورٍ
Wa ‘Idhā Ghashiyahum Mawjun Kālžžulali Da`aw Al-Laha Mukhlişīna Lahu Ad-Dīna Falammā Najjāhum ‘Ilá Al-Barri Faminhum Muqtaşidun Wa Mā Yajĥadu Bi’āyātinā ‘Illā Kullu Khattārin Kafūrin
31:32 And when covers them a wave like canopies, they call Allah, (being) sincere to Him (in) religion. But when He delivers them to the land then among them (some are) moderate. And not deny Our Signs except every traitor ungrateful.
32. Wa izaa ghashiyahum mawjun kazzulali da’a-wul laaha mukhliseena lahud deena fa lammaa najjaahum ilal barri faminhum muqtasid; wa maa yajhadu bi Aayaatinaa illaa kullu khattaarin kafoor
33. يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوا رَبَّكُمْ وَاخْشَوْا يَوْمًا لَا يَجْزِي وَالِدٌ عَنْ وَلَدِهِ وَلَا مَوْلُودٌ هُوَ جَازٍ عَنْ وَالِدِهِ شَيْئًا ۚ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ ۖ فَلَا تَغُرَّنَّكُمُ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا وَلَا يَغُرَّنَّكُمْ بِاللَّهِ الْغَرُورُ
Yā ‘Ayyuhā An-Nāsu Attaqū Rabbakum Wa Akhshaw Yawmāan Lā Yajzī Wa A-Dun `An Waladihi Wa Lā Mawlūdun Huwa Jāzin `An Wa Li-Dihi Shay’āan ‘Inna Wa`da Al-Lahi Ĥaqqun Falā Taghurrannakumu Al-Ĥayā Atu Ad-Dunyā Wa Lā Yaghurrannakum Bil-Lahi Al-Gharūru
31:33 O mankind! Fear your Lord and fear a Day not can avail a father [for] his son and not a son, he (can) avail [for] his father anything. Indeed, (the) Promise (of) Allah (is) True, so not let deceive you the life (of) the world and not let deceive you about Allah the deceiver.
33. Yaaa ayyuhan naasuttaqoo Rabbakum wakhshaw Yawmal laa yajzee waalidun ‘anw waladihee wa laa mawloodun huwa jaazin ‘anw waalidihee shai’aa; innaa wa’dal laahi haqqun falaa taghurran nakumul hayaatud dunyaa wa laa yaghur rannakum billaahil gharoor
34. إِنَّ اللَّهَ عِنْدَهُ عِلْمُ السَّاعَةِ وَيُنَزِّلُ الْغَيْثَ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا فِي الْأَرْحَامِ ۖ وَمَا تَدْرِي نَفْسٌ مَاذَا تَكْسِبُ غَدًا ۖ وَمَا تَدْرِي نَفْسٌ بِأَيِّ أَرْضٍ تَمُوتُ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِي
‘Inna Al-Laha `Indahu `Ilmu As-Sā`ati Wa Yunazzilu Al-Ghaytha Wa Ya`lamu Mā Fī Al-‘Arĥāmi Wa Mā Tadrī Nafsun Mādhā Taksibu Ghadāan Wa Mā Tadrī Nafsun Bi’ayyi ‘Arđin Tamūtu ‘Inna Al-Laha `Alīmun Khabīrun
31:34 Indeed, Allah, with Him (is the) knowledge (of) the Hour and He sends down the rain, and knows what (is) in the wombs. And not knows any soul what it will earn tomorrow, and not knows any soul in what land it will die. Indeed, Allah (is) All-Knower All-Aware.
34. Innal laaha ‘indahoo ‘ilmus saa’ati wa yunazzilul ghaisa wa ya’lamu maa fil arhaami wa maa tadree nafsum maazaa taksibu ghadaa; wa maa tadree nafsum bi ayyi ardin tamoot; innal laaha ‘Aleemun Khabeer (section 4)
