1. وَالصَّافَّاتِ صَفًّا
Wa Aş-Şāffāti Şaffāan
37:1  By those lined (in) rows,
1. Wassaaaffaati saffaa
2. فَالزَّاجِرَاتِ زَجْرًا
Fālzzājirāti Zajrāan
37:2  And those who drive strongly,
2. Fazzaajiraati zajraa
3. فَالتَّالِيَاتِ ذِكْرًا
Fālttāliyāti Dhikrāan
37:3  And those who recite (the) Message,
3. Fattaaliyaati Zikra
4. إِنَّ إِلَٰهَكُمْ لَوَاحِدٌ
‘Inna ‘Ilahakum Lawāĥidun
37:4  Indeed, your Lord (is) surely One,
4. Inna Illaahakum la Waahid
5. رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَرَبُّ الْمَشَارِقِ
Rabbu As-Samāwāti Wa Al-‘Arđi Wa Mā Baynahumā Wa Rabbu Al-Mashāriqi
37:5  Lord (of) the heavens and the earth, and what (is) between both of them and Lord (of) each point of sunrise.
5. Rabbus samaawaati wal ardi wa maa bainahumaa wa Rabbul mashaariq
6. إِنَّا زَيَّنَّا السَّمَاءَ الدُّنْيَا بِزِينَةٍ الْكَوَاكِبِ
‘Innā Zayyannā As-Samā’a Ad-Dunyā Bizīnatin Al-Kawākib
37:6  Indeed, We [We] adorned the sky [the world] with an adornment (of) the stars.
6. Innaa zaiyannas samaaa ‘ad dunyaa bizeenatinil kawaakib
7. وَحِفْظًا مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ مَارِدٍ
Wa Ĥifžāan Min Kulli Shayţānin Māridin
37:7  And (to) guard against every devil rebellious,
7. Wa hifzam min kulli Shaitaanim maarid
8. لَا يَسَّمَّعُونَ إِلَى الْمَلَإِ الْأَعْلَىٰ وَيُقْذَفُونَ مِنْ كُلِّ جَانِبٍ
Lā Yassamma`ūna ‘Ilá Al-Mala’i Al-‘A`lá Wa Yuqdhafūna Min Kulli Jānibin
37:8  Not they may listen to the assembly [the] exalted, are pelted from every side,
8. Laa yassamma ‘oona ilal mala ‘il a’alaa wa yuqzafoona min kulli jaanib
9. دُحُورًا ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ وَاصِبٌ
Duĥūrāan Wa Lahum `Adhābun Wa Aşibun
37:9  Repelled; and for them (is) a punishment perpetual,
9. Duhooranw wa lahum ‘azaabunw waasib
10. إِلَّا مَنْ خَطِفَ الْخَطْفَةَ فَأَتْبَعَهُ شِهَابٌ ثَاقِبٌ
‘Illā Man Khaţifa Al-Khaţfata Fa’atba`ahu Shihābun Thāqibāun
37:10  Except (him) who snatches (by) theft but follows him a burning flame, piercing.
10. Illaa man khatifal khatfata fa atba’ahoo shihaabun saaqib
11. فَاسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَهُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَمْ مَنْ خَلَقْنَا ۚ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاهُمْ مِنْ طِينٍ لَازِبٍ
Fāstaftihim ‘Ahum ‘Ashaddu Khalqāan ‘Am Man Khalaqnā ‘Innā Khalaqnāhum Min Ţīnin Lāzibin
37:11  Then ask them, “Are they a stronger creation or (those) whom We have created?” Indeed, We created them from a clay sticky.
11. Fastaftihim ahum ashaddu khalqan am man khalaqnaa; innaa khalaqnaahum min teenil laazib
12. بَلْ عَجِبْتَ وَيَسْخَرُونَ
Bal `Ajibta Wa Yaskharūna
37:12  Nay, you wonder, while they mock.
12. Bal’ajibta wa yaskharoon
13. وَإِذَا ذُكِّرُوا لَا يَذْكُرُونَ
Wa ‘Idhā Dhukkirū Lā Yadhkurūna
37:13  And when they are reminded, not they receive admonition.
13. Wa izaa zukkiroo laa yazkuroon
14. وَإِذَا رَأَوْا آيَةً يَسْتَسْخِرُونَ
Wa ‘Idhā Ra’aw ‘Āyatan Yastaskhirūna
37:14  And when they see a Sign, they mock,
14. Wa izaa ra aw Aayatany yastaskhiroon
15. وَقَالُوا إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُبِينٌ
Wa Qālū ‘In Hādhā ‘Illā Siĥrun Mubīnun
37:15  And they say, “Not (is) this except a magic clear.
15. Wa qaalooo in haazaa illaa sihrum mubeen
16. أَإِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَإِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ
‘A’idhā Mitnā Wa Kunnā Turābāan Wa `Ižāmāan ‘A’innā Lamab`ūthūna
37:16  Is it when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then be certainly resurrected,
16. ‘A-izaa mitnaa wa kunnaa turaabanw wa ‘izaaman ‘a innaa lamab’oosoon
17. أَوَآبَاؤُنَا الْأَوَّلُونَ
‘Awa’ābā’uunā Al-‘Awwalūna
37:17  Or our fathers former?”
17. Awa aabaa’unal awwaloon
18. قُلْ نَعَمْ وَأَنْتُمْ دَاخِرُونَ
Qul Na`am Wa ‘Antum Dākhirūna
37:18  Say, “Yes, and you (will be) humiliated.”
18. Qul na’am wa antum daakhiroon
19. فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ زَجْرَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ فَإِذَا هُمْ يَنْظُرُونَ
Fa’innamā Hiya Zajratun Wāĥidatun Fa’idhā Hum Yanžurūna
37:19  Then only it (will be) a cry single, then, behold! They will see.
19. Fa innamaa hiya zajra tunw waahidatun fa izaa hum yanzuroon
20. وَقَالُوا يَا وَيْلَنَا هَٰذَا يَوْمُ الدِّينِ
Wa Qālū Yā Waylanā Hādhā Yawmu Ad-Dīni
37:20  And they will say, “O woe to us! This (is the) Day (of) the Recompense.”
20. Wa qaaloo yaa wailanaa haazaa Yawmud-Deen
21. هَٰذَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ الَّذِي كُنْتُمْ بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ
Hādhā Yawmu Al-Faşli Al-Ladhī Kuntum Bihi Tukadhdhibūna
37:21  “This (is the) Day (of) Judgment which you used to [of it] deny.”
21. Haazaa Yawmul Faslil lazee kuntum bihee tukaziboon (section 1)
22. احْشُرُوا الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا وَأَزْوَاجَهُمْ وَمَا كَانُوا يَعْبُدُونَ
Aĥshurū Al-Ladhīna Žalamū Wa ‘Azwājahum Wa Mā Kānū Ya`budūna
37:22  Gather those who wronged, and their kinds and what they used (to) worship
22. Uhshurul lazeena zalamoo wa azwaajahum wa maa kaanoo ya’budoon
23. مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ فَاهْدُوهُمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَاطِ الْجَحِيمِ
Min Dūni Al-Lahi Fāhdūhum ‘Ilá Şirāţi Al-Jaĥīmi
37:23  from Besides Allah, then lead them to (the) Path (of) the Hellfire.
23. Min doonil laahi fahdoohum ilaa siraatil Jaheem
24. وَقِفُوهُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ مَسْئُولُونَ
Wa Qifūhum ‘Innahum Mas’ūlūna
37:24  And stop them; indeed, they (are) to be questioned.“
24. Wa qifoohum innahum mas’ooloon
25. مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنَاصَرُونَ
Mā Lakum Lā Tanāşarūna
37:25  “What (is) for you? (Why) not you help one another?”
25. Maa lakum laa tanaasaroon
26. بَلْ هُمُ الْيَوْمَ مُسْتَسْلِمُونَ
Bal Humu Al-Yawma Mustaslimūna
37:26  Nay, they (on) that Day (will) surrender.
26. Bal humul Yawma mustaslimoon
27. وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ
Wa ‘Aqbala Ba`đuhum `Alá Ba`đin Yatasā’alūna
37:27  And will approach some of them to others questioning one another.
27. Wa aqbala ba’duhum ‘alaa ba’diny yatasaaa’aloon
28. قَالُوا إِنَّكُمْ كُنْتُمْ تَأْتُونَنَا عَنِ الْيَمِينِ
Qālū ‘Innakum Kuntum Ta’tūnanā `Ani Al-Yamīni
37:28  They will say, “Indeed, you [you] used (to) come (to) us from the right.”
28. Qaalooo innakum kuntum taatoonanaa ‘anil yameen
29. قَالُوا بَلْ لَمْ تَكُونُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ
Qālū Bal Lam Takūnū Mu’uminīna
37:29  They will say, “Nay, not you were believers,
29. Qaaloo bal lam takoonoo mu’mineen
30. وَمَا كَانَ لَنَا عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ سُلْطَانٍ ۖ بَلْ كُنْتُمْ قَوْمًا طَاغِينَ
Wa Mā Kāna Lanā `Alaykum Min Sulţānin Bal Kuntum Qawmāan Ţāghīna
37:30  And not was for us over you any authority. Nay, you were a people transgressing.
30. Wa maa kaana lanaa ‘alaikum min sultaanim bal kuntum qawman taagheen
31. فَحَقَّ عَلَيْنَا قَوْلُ رَبِّنَا ۖ إِنَّا لَذَائِقُونَ
Faĥaqqa `Alaynā Qawlu Rabbinā ‘Innā Ladhā’iqūna
37:31  So has been proved true against us (the) Word (of) our Lord; indeed, we (will) certainly taste.
31. Fahaqqa ‘alainaa qawlu Rabbinaaa innaa lazaaa’iqoon
32. فَأَغْوَيْنَاكُمْ إِنَّا كُنَّا غَاوِينَ
Fa’aghwaynākum ‘Innā Kunnā Ghāwīna
37:32  So we led you astray; indeed, we were astray.”
32. Fa aghwainaakum innaa kunnaa ghaaween
33. فَإِنَّهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ فِي الْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُونَ
Fa’innahum Yawma’idhin Fī Al-`Adhābi Mushtarikūna
37:33  Then indeed, they that Day in the punishment (will be) sharers.
33. Fa innahum Yawma’izin fil’azaabi mushtarikoon
34. إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِالْمُجْرِمِينَ
‘Innā Kadhālika Naf`alu Bil-Mujrimīna
37:34  Indeed, We thus, We deal with the criminals.
34. Innaa kazaalika naf’alu bil mujrimeen
35. إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا إِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
‘Innahum Kānū ‘Idhā Qīla Lahum Lā ‘Ilāha ‘Illā Al-Lahu Yastakbirūna
37:35  Indeed, they were, when it was said to them, “(There is) no god except Allah,” were arrogant
35. Innahum kaanooo izaa qeela lahum laaa ilaaha illal laahu yastakbiroon
36. وَيَقُولُونَ أَئِنَّا لَتَارِكُو آلِهَتِنَا لِشَاعِرٍ مَجْنُونٍ
Wa Yaqūlūna ‘A’innā Latārikū ‘Ālihatinā Lishā`irin Majnūnin
37:36  And they say, “Are we to leave our gods for a poet mad?”
36. Wa yaqooloona a’innaa lataarikooo aalihatinaa lishaa’irim majnoon
37. بَلْ جَاءَ بِالْحَقِّ وَصَدَّقَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
Bal Jā’a Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa Şaddaqa Al-Mursalīna
37:37  Nay, he has brought the truth and confirmed the Messengers.
37. bal jaaa’a bilhaqqi wa saddaqal mursaleen
38. إِنَّكُمْ لَذَائِقُو الْعَذَابِ الْأَلِيمِ
‘Innakum Ladhā’iqū Al-`Adhābi Al-‘Alīmi
37:38  Indeed, you (will) surely taste the punishment painful,
38. Innakum lazaaa’iqul ‘azaabil aleem
39. وَمَا تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
Wa Mā Tujzawna ‘Illā Mā Kuntum Ta`malūna
37:39  And not you will be recompensed except what you used to do,
39. Wa maa tujzawna illaa maa kuntum ta’maloon
40. إِلَّا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
‘Illā `Ibāda Al-Lahi Al-Mukhlaşīna
37:40  Except (the) slaves (of) Allah the chosen ones.
40. Illaa ‘ibaadal laahil mukhlaseen
41. أُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمْ رِزْقٌ مَعْلُومٌ
‘Ūlā’ika Lahum Rizqun Ma`lūmun
37:41  Those for them (will be) a provision determined,
41. Ulaaa’ika lahum rizqum ma’loom
42. فَوَاكِهُ ۖ وَهُمْ مُكْرَمُونَ
Fawākihu Wa Hum Mukramūna
37:42  Fruits and they (will) be honored
42. Fa waakihu wa hum mukramoon
43. فِي جَنَّاتِ النَّعِيمِ
Fī Jannāti An-Na`īmi
37:43  In Gardens (of) Delight
43. Fee jannaatin Na’eem
44. عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مُتَقَابِلِينَ
`Alá Sururin Mutaqābilīna
37:44  On thrones facing each other.
44. ‘Alaa sururim mutaqaa bileen
45. يُطَافُ عَلَيْهِمْ بِكَأْسٍ مِنْ مَعِينٍ
Yuţāfu `Alayhim Bika’sin Min Ma`īnin
37:45  Will be circulated among them a cup from a flowing spring,
45. Yutaafu ‘alaihim bikaasim mim ma’een
46. بَيْضَاءَ لَذَّةٍ لِلشَّارِبِينَ
Bayđā’a Ladhdhatin Lilshshāribīna
37:46  White, delicious for the drinkers;
46. Baidaaa’a laz zatil lish shaaribeen
47. لَا فِيهَا غَوْلٌ وَلَا هُمْ عَنْهَا يُنْزَفُونَ
Lā Fīhā Ghawlun Wa Lā Hum `Anhā Yunzafūna
37:47  Not in it (is) bad effect and not they from it will be intoxicated.
47. Laa feehaa ghawlunw wa laa hum ‘anhaa yunzafoon
48. وَعِنْدَهُمْ قَاصِرَاتُ الطَّرْفِ عِينٌ
Wa `Indahum Qāşirātu Aţ-Ţarfi `Īnun
37:48  And with them (will be) ones who are restraining their glance (having) beautiful eyes,
48. Wa ‘indahum qaasiraatut tarfi ‘een
49. كَأَنَّهُنَّ بَيْضٌ مَكْنُونٌ
Ka’annahunna Bayđun Maknūnun
37:49  As if they were eggs, well protected.
49. Ka annahunna baidum maknoon
50. فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ
Fa’aqbala Ba`đuhum `Alá Ba`đin Yatasā’alūna
37:50  And (will) approach some of them to others questioning one another.
50. Fa aqbala ba’duhum ‘alaa badiny yatasaaa ‘aloon
51. قَالَ قَائِلٌ مِنْهُمْ إِنِّي كَانَ لِي قَرِينٌ
Qāla Qā’ilun Minhum ‘Innī Kāna Lī Qarīnun
37:51  Will say a speaker among them, “Indeed, I had for me a companion,
51. Qaala qaaa’ilum minhum innee kaana lee qareen
52. يَقُولُ أَإِنَّكَ لَمِنَ الْمُصَدِّقِينَ
Yaqūlu ‘A’innaka Lamina Al-Muşaddiqīna
37:52  Who (would) say, “Are you indeed surely of those who believe?
52. Yaqoolu ‘a innaka laminal musaddiqeen
53. أَإِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَإِنَّا لَمَدِينُونَ
‘A’idhā Mitnā Wa Kunnā Turābāan Wa `Ižāmāan ‘A’innā Lamadīnūna
37:53  Is (it) when we have died and become dust and bones, will we surely be brought to Judgment?”
53. ‘A-izaa mitnaa wa kunnaa turaabanw wa ‘izaaman ‘a innaa lamadeenoon
54. قَالَ هَلْ أَنْتُمْ مُطَّلِعُونَ
Qāla Hal ‘Antum Muţţali`ūna
37:54  He (will) say, “Will you be looking?”
54. Qaala hal antum muttali’oon
55. فَاطَّلَعَ فَرَآهُ فِي سَوَاءِ الْجَحِيمِ
Fāţţala`a Fara’āhu Fī Sawā’i Al-Jaĥīmi
37:55  Then he (will) look and see him in (the) midst (of) the Hellfire.
55. Fattala’a fara aahu fee sawaaa’il Jaheem
56. قَالَ تَاللَّهِ إِنْ كِدْتَ لَتُرْدِينِ
Qāla Ta-Allāhi ‘In Kidta Laturdīni
37:56  He (will) say, “By Allah, verily, you almost ruined me.
56. Qaala tallaahi in kitta laturdeen
57. وَلَوْلَا نِعْمَةُ رَبِّي لَكُنْتُ مِنَ الْمُحْضَرِينَ
Wa Lawlā Ni`matu Rabbī Lakuntu Mina Al-Muĥđarīna
37:57  And if not (for the) Grace (of) my Lord, certainly, I (would) have been among those brought.
57. Wa law laa ni’matu Rabbee lakuntu minal muhdareen
58. أَفَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَيِّتِينَ
‘Afamā Naĥnu Bimayyitīna
37:58  Then are not we (to) die,
58. Afamaa nahnu bimaiyiteen
59. إِلَّا مَوْتَتَنَا الْأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ
‘Illā Mawtatanā Al-‘Ūlá Wa Mā Naĥnu Bimu`adhdhabīna
37:59  Except our death the first, and not we will be punished?”
59. Illa mawtatanal oola wa maa nahnu bimu’azzabeen
60. إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ
‘Inna Hādhā Lahuwa Al-Fawzu Al-`Ažīmu
37:60  Indeed, this surely (is) the attainment great.
60. Inna haazaa lahuwal fawzul ‘azeem
61. لِمِثْلِ هَٰذَا فَلْيَعْمَلِ الْعَامِلُونَ
Limithli Hādhā Falya`mali Al-`Āmilūna
37:61  For (the) like (of) this, let work the workers.
61. Limisli haaza falya’ma lil ‘aamiloon
62. أَذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ نُزُلًا أَمْ شَجَرَةُ الزَّقُّومِ
‘Adhalika Khayrun Nuzulāan ‘Am Shajaratu Az-Zaqqūmi
37:62  Is that better (as) hospitality or (the) tree (of) Zaqqum?
62. Azaalika khairun nuzulan am shajaratuz Zaqqoom
63. إِنَّا جَعَلْنَاهَا فِتْنَةً لِلظَّالِمِينَ
‘Innā Ja`alnāhā Fitnatan Lilžžālimīna
37:63  Indeed, We [We] have made it a trial for the wrongdoers.
63. Innaa ja’alnaahaa fitnatal lizzaalimeen
64. إِنَّهَا شَجَرَةٌ تَخْرُجُ فِي أَصْلِ الْجَحِيمِ
‘Innahā Shajaratun Takhruju Fī ‘Aşli Al-Jaĥīmi
37:64  Indeed, it (is) a tree that grows in (the) bottom (of) the Hellfire,
64. Innahaa shajaratun takhruju feee aslil Jaheem
65. طَلْعُهَا كَأَنَّهُ رُءُوسُ الشَّيَاطِينِ
Ţal`uhā Ka’annahu Ru’ūsu Ash-Shayāţīni
37:65  Its emerging fruit (is) as if it (was) heads (of) the devils.
65. Tal’uhaa ka annahoo ru’oosush Shayaateen
66. فَإِنَّهُمْ لَآكِلُونَ مِنْهَا فَمَالِئُونَ مِنْهَا الْبُطُونَ
Fa’innahum La’ākilūna Minhā Famāli’ūna Minhā Al-Buţūna
37:66  And indeed, they (will) surely eat from it and fill with it (their) bellies.
66. Fa innahum la aakiloona minhaa famaali’oona minhal butoon
67. ثُمَّ إِنَّ لَهُمْ عَلَيْهَا لَشَوْبًا مِنْ حَمِيمٍ
Thumma ‘Inna Lahum `Alayhā Lashawbāan Min Ĥamīmin
37:67  Then indeed, for them in it (is) a mixture of boiling water.
67. Summa inna lahum ‘alaihaa lashawbam min hameem
68. ثُمَّ إِنَّ مَرْجِعَهُمْ لَإِلَى الْجَحِيمِ
Thumma ‘Inna Marji`ahum La’ilá Al-Jaĥīmi
37:68  Then indeed, their return (will) surely be to the Hellfire.
68. Summa inna marji’ahum la ilal Jaheem
69. إِنَّهُمْ أَلْفَوْا آبَاءَهُمْ ضَالِّينَ
‘Innahum ‘Alfaw ‘Ābā’ahum Đāllīna
37:69  Indeed, they found their fathers astray.
69. Innahum alfaw aabaaa’ahum daaalleen
70. فَهُمْ عَلَىٰ آثَارِهِمْ يُهْرَعُونَ
Fahum `Alá ‘Āthārihim Yuhra`ūna
37:70  So they on their footsteps they hastened.
70. Fahum ‘alaa aasaarihim yuhra’oon
71. وَلَقَدْ ضَلَّ قَبْلَهُمْ أَكْثَرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
Wa Laqad Đalla Qablahum ‘Aktharu Al-‘Awwalīna
37:71  And verily, went astray before them most (of) the former (people),
71. Wa laqad dalla qablahum aksarul awwaleen
72. وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا فِيهِمْ مُنْذِرِينَ
Wa Laqad ‘Arsalnā Fīhim Mundhirīna
37:72  And verily, We sent among them warners.
72. Wa laqad arsalnaa feehim munzireen
73. فَانْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُنْذَرِينَ
Fānžur Kayfa Kāna `Āqibatu Al-Mundharīna
37:73  Then see how was (the) end (of) those who were warned,
73. Fanzur kaifa kaana ‘aaqibatul munzareen
74. إِلَّا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
‘Illā `Ibāda Al-Lahi Al-Mukhlaşīna
37:74  Except (the) slaves (of) Allah the chosen ones.
74. Illaa ‘ibaadal laahil mukhlaseen (section 2)
75. وَلَقَدْ نَادَانَا نُوحٌ فَلَنِعْمَ الْمُجِيبُونَ
Wa Laqad Nādānā Nūĥun Falani`ma Al-Mujībūna
37:75  And verily, called Us Nuh; and Best (are We as) Responders!
75. Wa laqad naadaanaa Noohun falani’mal mujeeboon
76. وَنَجَّيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ مِنَ الْكَرْبِ الْعَظِيمِ
Wa Najjaynāhu Wa ‘Ahlahu Mina Al-Karbi Al-`Ažīmi
37:76  And We saved him and his family from the distress, the great.
76. Wa najjainaahu wa ahlahoo minal karbil ‘azeem
77. وَجَعَلْنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُ هُمُ الْبَاقِينَ
Wa Ja`alnā Dhurrīyatahu Humu Al-Bāqīna
37:77  And We made his offspring [they] the survivors.
77. Wa ja’alnaa zurriyyatahoo hummul baaqeen
78. وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِي الْآخِرِينَ
Wa Taraknā `Alayhi Fī Al-‘Ākhirīna
37:78  And We left for him among the later generations.
78. Wa taraknaa ‘alaihi fil aakhireen
79. سَلَامٌ عَلَىٰ نُوحٍ فِي الْعَالَمِينَ
Salāmun `Alá Nūĥin Fī Al-`Ālamīna
37:79  “Peace be upon Nuh among the worlds.“
79. Salaamun ‘alaa Noohin fil ‘aalameen
80. إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
‘Innā Kadhālika Najzī Al-Muĥsinīna
37:80  Indeed, We thus [We] reward the good-doers.
80. Innaa kazaalika najzil muhsineen
81. إِنَّهُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
‘Innahu Min `Ibādinā Al-Mu’uminīna
37:81  Indeed, he (was) of Our slaves believing.
81. Innahoo min ‘ibaadinal mu’mineen
82. ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا الْآخَرِينَ
Thumma ‘Aghraqnā Al-‘Ākharīna
37:82  Then We drowned the others.
82. Summa aghraqnal aakhareen
83. وَإِنَّ مِنْ شِيعَتِهِ لَإِبْرَاهِيمَ
Wa ‘Inna Min Shī`atihi La’ibrāhīma
37:83  And indeed, among his kind (was) surely Ibrahim,
83. Wa inna min shee’atihee la Ibraaheem
84. إِذْ جَاءَ رَبَّهُ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمٍ
‘Idh Jā’a Rabbahu Biqalbin Salīmin
37:84  When he came (to) his Lord with a heart sound,
84. Iz jaaa’a Rabbahoo bi qalbin saleem
85. إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِ مَاذَا تَعْبُدُونَ
‘Idh Qāla Li’abīhi Wa Qawmihi Mādhā Ta`budūna
37:85  When he said to his father and his people, “What is it you worship?
85. Iz qaala li abeehi wa qawmihee maazaa ta’budoon
86. أَئِفْكًا آلِهَةً دُونَ اللَّهِ تُرِيدُونَ
‘A’ifkāan ‘Ālihatan Dūna Al-Lahi Turīdūna
37:86  Is it falsehood – gods other than Allah – (that) you desire?
86. A’ifkan aalihatan doonal laahi tureedoon
87. فَمَا ظَنُّكُمْ بِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
Famā Žannukum Birabbi Al-`Ālamīna
37:87  Then what (do) you think about (the) Lord (of) the worlds?”
87. Famaa zannukum bi Rabbil’aalameen
88. فَنَظَرَ نَظْرَةً فِي النُّجُومِ
Fanažara Nažratan Fī An-Nujūmi
37:88  Then he glanced a glance at the stars,
88. Fanazara nazratan finnujoom
89. فَقَالَ إِنِّي سَقِيمٌ
Faqāla ‘Innī Saqīmun
37:89  And he said, “Indeed, I am sick.”
89. Faqaala innee saqeem
90. فَتَوَلَّوْا عَنْهُ مُدْبِرِينَ
Fatawallaw `Anhu Mudbirīna
37:90  So they turned away from departing.
90. Fatawallaw ‘anhu mudbireen
91. فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰ آلِهَتِهِمْ فَقَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ
Farāgha ‘Ilá ‘Ālihatihim Faqāla ‘Alā Ta’kulūna
37:91  Then he turned to their gods and said, “Do not you eat?
91. Faraagha ilaaa aalihatihim faqaala alaa taakuloon
92. مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنْطِقُونَ
Mā Lakum Lā Tanţiqūna
37:92  What (is) for you not you speak?”
92. Maa lakum laa tantiqoon
93. فَرَاغَ عَلَيْهِمْ ضَرْبًا بِالْيَمِينِ
Farāgha `Alayhim Đarbāan Bil-Yamīni
37:93  Then he turned upon them striking with the right hand.
93. Faraagha ‘alaihim darbam bilyameen
94. فَأَقْبَلُوا إِلَيْهِ يَزِفُّونَ
Fa’aqbalū ‘Ilayhi Yaziffūna
37:94  Then they advanced towards him, hastening.
94. Fa aqbalooo ilaihi yaziffoon
95. قَالَ أَتَعْبُدُونَ مَا تَنْحِتُونَ
Qāla ‘Ata`budūna Mā Tanĥitūna
37:95  He said, “Do you worship what you carve
95. Qaala ata’budoona maa tanhitoon
96. وَاللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمْ وَمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
Wa Allāhu Khalaqakum Wa Mā Ta`malūna
37:96  While Allah created you and what you make?”
96. Wallaahu khalaqakum wa maa ta’maloon
97. قَالُوا ابْنُوا لَهُ بُنْيَانًا فَأَلْقُوهُ فِي الْجَحِيمِ
Qālū Abnū Lahu Bunyānāan Fa’alqūhu Fī Al-Jaĥīmi
37:97  They said, “Build for him a structure and throw him into the blazing Fire.”
97. Qaalub noo lahoo bun yaanan fa alqoohu fil jaheem
98. فَأَرَادُوا بِهِ كَيْدًا فَجَعَلْنَاهُمُ الْأَسْفَلِينَ
Fa’arādū Bihi Kaydāan Faja`alnāhumu Al-‘Asfalīna
37:98  And they intended for him a plot, but We made them the lowest.
98. Fa araadoo bihee kaidan faja ‘alnaahumul asfaleen
99. وَقَالَ إِنِّي ذَاهِبٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّي سَيَهْدِينِ
Wa Qāla ‘Innī Dhāhibun ‘Ilá Rabbī Sayahdīni
37:99  And he said, “Indeed, I am going to my Lord, He will guide me.
99. Wa qaala innee zaahibun ilaa Rabbee sa yahdeen
100. رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
Rabbi Hab Lī Mina Aş-Şāliĥīna
37:100  My Lord grant me of the righteous.”
100. Rabbi hab lee minas saaliheen
101. فَبَشَّرْنَاهُ بِغُلَامٍ حَلِيمٍ
Fabashsharnāhu Bighulāmin Ĥalīmin
37:101  So We gave him the glad tidings of a boy forbearing.
101. Fabashsharnaahu bighulaamin haleem
102. فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ السَّعْيَ قَالَ يَا بُنَيَّ إِنِّي أَرَىٰ فِي الْمَنَامِ أَنِّي أَذْبَحُكَ فَانْظُرْ مَاذَا تَرَىٰ ۚ قَالَ يَا أَبَتِ افْعَلْ مَا تُؤْمَرُ ۖ سَتَجِدُنِي إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ مِنَ الصَّابِرِينَ
Falammā Balagha Ma`ahu As-Sa`ya Qāla Yā Bunayya ‘Innī ‘Ará Fī Al-Manāmi ‘Annī ‘Adhbaĥuka Fānžur Mādhā Tará Qāla Yā ‘Abati Af`al Mā Tu’umaru Satajidunī ‘In Shā’a Al-Lahu Mina Aş-Şābirīna
37:102  Then when he reached with him the (age of) working he said, “O my son! Indeed, I have seen in the dream that I am sacrificing you, so look what you see.” He said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded. You will find me, if wills Allah, of the patient ones.”
102. Falamma balagha ma’a hus sa’ya qaala yaa buniya inneee araa fil manaami anneee azbahuka fanzur maazaa taraa; qaala yaaa abatif ‘al maa tu’maru satajidunee in shaaa’allaahu minas saabireen
103. فَلَمَّا أَسْلَمَا وَتَلَّهُ لِلْجَبِينِ
Falammā ‘Aslamā Wa Tallahu Liljabīni
37:103  Then when both of them had submitted and he put him down upon his forehead,
103. Falammaaa aslamaa wa tallahoo liljabeen
104. وَنَادَيْنَاهُ أَنْ يَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ
Wa Nādaynāhu ‘An Yā ‘Ibrāhīmu
37:104  And We called out to him that “O Ibrahim!
104. Wa naadainaahu ai yaaaa Ibraheem
105. قَدْ صَدَّقْتَ الرُّؤْيَا ۚ إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
Qad Şaddaqta Ar-Ru’uyā ‘Innā Kadhālika Najzī Al-Muĥsinīna
37:105  Verily, you have fulfilled the vision.” Indeed, We thus [We] reward the good-doers.
105. Qad saddaqtar ru’yaa; innaa kazaalika najzil muhsineen
106. إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ الْبَلَاءُ الْمُبِينُ
‘Inna Hādhā Lahuwa Al-Balā’u Al-Mubīnu
37:106  Indeed, this (was) surely [it] the trial clear.
106. Inna haazaa lahuwal balaaa’ul mubeen
107. وَفَدَيْنَاهُ بِذِبْحٍ عَظِيمٍ
Wa Fadaynāhu Bidhibĥin `Ažīmin
37:107  And We ransomed him with a sacrifice great,
107. Wa fadainaahu bizibhin ‘azeem
108. وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِي الْآخِرِينَ
Wa Taraknā `Alayhi Fī Al-‘Ākhirīna
37:108  And We left for him among the later generations.
108. Wa taraknaa ‘alaihi fil aakhireen
109. سَلَامٌ عَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ
Salāmun `Alá ‘Ibrāhīma
37:109  “Peace be on Ibrahim.”
109. Salaamun ‘alaaa Ibraaheem
110. كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
Kadhālika Najzī Al-Muĥsinīna
37:110  Thus We reward the good-doers.
110. Kazaalika najzil muhsineen
111. إِنَّهُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
‘Innahu Min `Ibādinā Al-Mu’uminīna
37:111  Indeed, he (was) of Our slaves believing.
111. Innahoo min ‘ibaadinal mu’mineen
112. وَبَشَّرْنَاهُ بِإِسْحَاقَ نَبِيًّا مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
Wa Bashsharnāhu Bi’isĥāqa Nabīyāan Mina Aş-Şāliĥīna
37:112  And We gave him glad tidings of Ishaq, a Prophet among the righteous.
112. Wa bashsharnaahu bi Ishaaqa Nabiyam minas saaliheen
113. وَبَارَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَىٰ إِسْحَاقَ ۚ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا مُحْسِنٌ وَظَالِمٌ لِنَفْسِهِ مُبِينٌ
Wa Bāraknā `Alayhi Wa `Alá ‘Isĥāqa Wa Min Dhurrīyatihimā Muĥsinun Wa Žālimun Linafsihi Mubīnun
37:113  And We blessed him and [on] Ishaq. And of their offspring (are) good-doers and unjust to himself clear.
113. Wa baaraknaa ‘alaihi wa ‘alaaa Ishaaq; wa min zurriyya tihimaa muhsinunw wa zaalimul linafsihee mubeen (section 3)
114. وَلَقَدْ مَنَنَّا عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَارُونَ
Wa Laqad Manannā `Alá Mūsá Wa Hārūna
37:114  And verily, We conferred Favor upon Musa and Harun.
114. Wa laqad mananna alaa Moosaa wa Haaroon
115. وَنَجَّيْنَاهُمَا وَقَوْمَهُمَا مِنَ الْكَرْبِ الْعَظِيمِ
Wa Najjaynāhumā Wa Qawmahumā Mina Al-Karbi Al-`Ažīmi
37:115  And We saved both of them and their people from the distress the great,
115. Wa najjainaahumaa wa qawmahumaa minal karbil ‘azeem
116. وَنَصَرْنَاهُمْ فَكَانُوا هُمُ الْغَالِبِينَ
Wa Naşarnāhum Fakānū Humu Al-Ghālibīna
37:116  And We helped them, so became they the victors.
116. Wa nasarnaahum fakaanoo humul ghaalibeen
117. وَآتَيْنَاهُمَا الْكِتَابَ الْمُسْتَبِينَ
Wa ‘Ātaynāhumā Al-Kitāba Al-Mustabīna
37:117  And We gave both of them the Book the clear.
117. Wa aatainaahumal Kitaabal mustabeen
118. وَهَدَيْنَاهُمَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ
Wa Hadaynāhumā Aş-Şirāţa Al-Mustaqīma
37:118  And We guided both of them (to) the Path the Straight.
118. Wa hadainaahumus Siraatal Mustaqeem
119. وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِمَا فِي الْآخِرِينَ
Wa Taraknā `Alayhimā Fī Al-‘Ākhirīna
37:119  And We left for both of them, among the later generations.
119. Wa taraknaa ‘alaihimaa fil aakhireen
120. سَلَامٌ عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَارُونَ
Salāmun `Alá Mūsá Wa Hārūna
37:120  “Peace be upon Musa and Harun.”
120. Salaamun ‘alaa Moosaa wa Haaroon
121. إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
‘Innā Kadhālika Najzī Al-Muĥsinīna
37:121  Indeed, We thus reward the good-doers.
121. Innaa kazaalika najzil muhsineen
122. إِنَّهُمَا مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
‘Innahumā Min `Ibādinā Al-Mu’uminīna
37:122  Indeed, both of them (were) of Our slaves believing.
122. Innahumaa min ‘ibaadinal mu’mineen
123. وَإِنَّ إِلْيَاسَ لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
Wa ‘Inna ‘Ilyāsa Lamina Al-Mursalīna
37:123  And indeed, Ilyas (was) surely of the Messengers.
123. Wa inna Ilyaasa laminal mursaleen
124. إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
‘Idh Qāla Liqawmihi ‘Alā Tattaqūna
37:124  When he said to his people, “Will not you fear?
124. Iz qaala liqawmiheee alaa tattaqoon
125. أَتَدْعُونَ بَعْلًا وَتَذَرُونَ أَحْسَنَ الْخَالِقِينَ
‘Atad`ūna Ba`lāan Wa Tadharūna ‘Aĥsana Al-Khāliqīna
37:125  Do you call Baal and you forsake (the) Best (of) Creators –
125. Atad’oona Ba’lanw wa tazaroona ahsanal khaaliqeen
126. اللَّهَ رَبَّكُمْ وَرَبَّ آبَائِكُمُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
Al-Laha Rabbakum Wa Rabba ‘Ābā’ikumu Al-‘Awwalīna
37:126  Allah, your Lord and (the) Lord (of) your forefathers (of) the former (people)?”
126. Allaaha Rabbakum wa Rabba aabaaa’ikumul awwaleen
127. فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ
Fakadhdhabūhu Fa’innahum Lamuĥđarūna
37:127  But they denied him, so indeed, they (will) surely be brought,
127. Fakazzaboohu fa inna hum lamuhdaroon
128. إِلَّا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
‘Illā `Ibāda Al-Lahi Al-Mukhlaşīna
37:128  Except (the) slaves (of) Allah the chosen ones.
128. Illaa ‘ibaadal laahil mukhlaseen
129. وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِي الْآخِرِينَ
Wa Taraknā `Alayhi Fī Al-‘Ākhirīna
37:129  And We left for him among the later generations.
129. Wa taraknaa ‘alaihi fil aakhireen
130. سَلَامٌ عَلَىٰ إِلْ يَاسِينَ
Salāmun `Alá ‘Il Yā -Sīn
37:130  “Peace be upon Il yas ( Ilyas)
130. Salaamun ‘alaaa Ilyaaseen
131. إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
‘Innā Kadhālika Najzī Al-Muĥsinīna
37:131  Indeed, We thus reward the good-doers.
131. Innaa kazaalika najzil muhsineen
132. إِنَّهُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
‘Innahu Min `Ibādinā Al-Mu’uminīna
37:132  Indeed, he (was) of Our slaves believing.
132. Innahoo min ‘ibaadinal mu’mineen
133. وَإِنَّ لُوطًا لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
Wa ‘Inna Lūţāan Lamina Al-Mursalīna
37:133  And indeed, Lut (was) of the Messengers.
133. Wa inna Lootal laminal mursaleen
134. إِذْ نَجَّيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ أَجْمَعِينَ
‘Idh Najjaynāhu Wa ‘Ahlahu ‘Ajma`īna
37:134  When We saved him and his family all,
134. Iz najjainaahu wa ahlahooo ajma’een
135. إِلَّا عَجُوزًا فِي الْغَابِرِينَ
‘Illā `Ajūzāan Fī Al-Ghābirīna
37:135  Except an old woman (was) among those who remained behind.
135. Illaa ‘ajoozan fil ghaabireen
136. ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا الْآخَرِينَ
Thumma Dammarnā Al-‘Ākharīna
37:136  Then We destroyed the others.
136. Summa dammarnal aakhareen
137. وَإِنَّكُمْ لَتَمُرُّونَ عَلَيْهِمْ مُصْبِحِينَ
Wa ‘Innakum Latamurrūna `Alayhim Muşbiĥīna
37:137  And indeed, you surely pass by them (in the) morning,
137. Wa innakum latamurroona ‘alaihim musbiheen
138. وَبِاللَّيْلِ ۗ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ
Wa Bil-Layli ‘Afalā Ta`qilūna
37:138  And at night. Then will not you use reason?
138. Wa billail; afalaa ta’qiloon (section 4)
139. وَإِنَّ يُونُسَ لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
Wa ‘Inna Yūnis Lamina Al-Mursalīna
37:139  And indeed, Yunus (was) surely of the Messengers.
139. Wa inna Yoonusa laminal mursaleen
140. إِذْ أَبَقَ إِلَى الْفُلْكِ الْمَشْحُونِ
‘Idh ‘Abaqa ‘Ilá Al-Fulki Al-Mashĥūni
37:140  When he ran away to the ship laden.
140. Iz abaqa ilal fulkil mash hoon
141. فَسَاهَمَ فَكَانَ مِنَ الْمُدْحَضِينَ
Fasāhama Fakāna Mina Al-Mudĥađīna
37:141  Then he drew lots and was of the losers.
141. Fasaahama fakaana minal mudhadeen
142. فَالْتَقَمَهُ الْحُوتُ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ
Fāltaqamahu Al-Ĥūtu Wa Huwa Mulīmun
37:142  Then swallowed him the fish, while he (was) blameworthy.
142. Faltaqamahul hootu wa huwa muleem
143. فَلَوْلَا أَنَّهُ كَانَ مِنَ الْمُسَبِّحِينَ
Falawlā ‘Annahu Kāna Mina Al-Musabbiĥīna
37:143  And if not that he was of those who glorify
143. Falaw laaa annahoo kaana minal musabbiheen
144. لَلَبِثَ فِي بَطْنِهِ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ
Lalabitha Fī Baţnihi ‘Ilá Yawmi Yub`athūna
37:144  Certainly, he (would have) remained in its belly until the Day they are resurrected.
144. Lalabisa fee batniheee ilaa Yawmi yub’asoon
145. فَنَبَذْنَاهُ بِالْعَرَاءِ وَهُوَ سَقِيمٌ
Fanabadhnāhu Bil-`Arā’i Wa Huwa Saqīmun
37:145  But We cast him onto the open shore while he (was) ill.
145. Fanabaznaahu bil’araaa’i wa huwa saqeem
146. وَأَنْبَتْنَا عَلَيْهِ شَجَرَةً مِنْ يَقْطِينٍ
Wa ‘Anbatnā `Alayhi Shajaratan Min Yaqţīnin
37:146  And We caused to grow over him a plant of gourd.
146. Wa ambatnaa ‘alaihi shajaratam mai yaqteen
147. وَأَرْسَلْنَاهُ إِلَىٰ مِائَةِ أَلْفٍ أَوْ يَزِيدُونَ
Wa ‘Arsalnāhu ‘Ilá Miā’ati ‘Alfin ‘Aw Yazīdūna
37:147  And We sent him to a hundred thousand or more.
147. Wa arsalnaahu ilaa mi’ati alfin aw yazeedoon
148. فَآمَنُوا فَمَتَّعْنَاهُمْ إِلَىٰ حِينٍ
Fa’āmanū Famatta`nāhum ‘Ilá Ĥīnin
37:148  And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment for a while.
148. Fa aamanoo famatta’ naahum ilaa heen
149. فَاسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَلِرَبِّكَ الْبَنَاتُ وَلَهُمُ الْبَنُونَ
Fāstaftihim ‘Alirabbika Al-Banātu Wa Lahumu Al-Banūna
37:149  Then ask them, “Does your Lord (have) daughters while for them (are) sons?”
149. Fastaftihim ali Rabbikal banaatu wa lahumul banoon
150. أَمْ خَلَقْنَا الْمَلَائِكَةَ إِنَاثًا وَهُمْ شَاهِدُونَ
‘Am Khalaqnā Al-Malā’ikata ‘Ināthāan Wa Hum Shāhidūna
37:150  Or did We create the Angels females while they (were) witnesses?
150. Am khalaqnal malaaa’i kata inaasanw wa hum shaahidoon
151. أَلَا إِنَّهُمْ مِنْ إِفْكِهِمْ لَيَقُولُونَ
‘Alā ‘Innahum Min ‘Ifkihim Layaqūlūna
37:151  No doubt, indeed, they of their falsehood [they] say,
151. Alaaa innahum min ifkihim la yaqooloon
152. وَلَدَ اللَّهُ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ
Walada Al-Lahu Wa ‘Innahum Lakādhibūna
37:152  “Has begotten Allah,” and indeed, they surely (are) liars.
152. Waladal laahu wa innahum lakaaziboon
153. أَصْطَفَى الْبَنَاتِ عَلَى الْبَنِينَ
‘Āşţafá Al-Banāti `Alá Al-Banīna
37:153  Has He chosen [the] daughters over sons?
153. Astafal banaati ‘alal baneen
154. مَا لَكُمْ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَ
Mā Lakum Kayfa Taĥkumūna
37:154  What is with you? How you judge?
154. Maa lakum kaifa tahkumoon
155. أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ
‘Afalā Tadhakkarūn
37:155  Then will not you pay heed?
155. Afalaa tazakkaroon
156. أَمْ لَكُمْ سُلْطَانٌ مُبِينٌ
‘Am Lakum Sulţānun Mubīnun
37:156  Or (is) for you an authority clear?
156. Am lakum sultaanum mubeen
157. فَأْتُوا بِكِتَابِكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ
Fa’tū Bikitābikum ‘In Kuntum Şādiqīna
37:157  Then bring your book, if you are truthful.
157. Faatoo bi Kitaabikum in kuntum saadiqeen
158. وَجَعَلُوا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْجِنَّةِ نَسَبًا ۚ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمَتِ الْجِنَّةُ إِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ
Wa Ja`alū Baynahu Wa Bayna Al-Jinnati Nasabāan Wa Laqad `Alimati Al-Jinnatu ‘Innahum Lamuĥđarūna
37:158  And they have made between Him and between the jinn a relationship, but certainly, know the jinn that they (will) surely be brought.
158. Wa ja’aloo bainahoo wa bainal jinnati nasabaa; wa laqad ‘alimatil jinnatu innahum lamuhdaroon
159. سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ
Subĥāna Al-Lahi `Ammā Yaşifūna
37:159  Glory be (to) Allah above what they attribute,
159. Subhaanal laahi ‘ammaa yasifoon
160. إِلَّا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
‘Illā `Ibāda Al-Lahi Al-Mukhlaşīna
37:160  Except (the) slaves (of) Allah the chosen.
160. Illaa ‘ibaadal laahil mukhlaseen
161. فَإِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ
Fa’innakum Wa Mā Ta`budūna
37:161  So indeed, you and what you worship,
161. Fa innakum wa maa ta’budoon
162. مَا أَنْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ بِفَاتِنِينَ
Mā ‘Antum `Alayhi Bifātinīna
37:162  Not you from Him can tempt away (anyone).
162. Maaa antum ‘alaihi bi faaatineen
163. إِلَّا مَنْ هُوَ صَالِ الْجَحِيمِ
‘Illā Man Huwa Şālī Al-Jaĥīmi
37:163  Except who he (is) to burn (in) the Hellfire.
163. Illaa man huwa saalil jaheem
164. وَمَا مِنَّا إِلَّا لَهُ مَقَامٌ مَعْلُومٌ
Wa Mā Minnā ‘Illā Lahu Maqāmun Ma`lūmun
37:164  “And not among us except for him (is) a position known.
164. Wa maa minnaaa illaa lahoo maqaamun ma’loom
165. وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ الصَّافُّونَ
Wa ‘Innā Lanaĥnu Aş-Şāffūna
37:165  And indeed, we surely, [we] stand in rows.
165. Wa innaa lanah nus saaffoon
166. وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ الْمُسَبِّحُونَ
Wa ‘Innā Lanaĥnu Al-Musabbiĥūna
37:166  And indeed, we surely, [we] glorify (Allah).”
166. Wa innaa lanah nul musabbihoon
167. وَإِنْ كَانُوا لَيَقُولُونَ
Wa ‘In Kānū Layaqūlūna
37:167  And indeed, they used to say,
167. Wa in kaanoo la yaqooloon
168. لَوْ أَنَّ عِنْدَنَا ذِكْرًا مِنَ الْأَوَّلِينَ
Law ‘Anna `Indanā Dhikrāan Mina Al-‘Awwalīna
37:168  “If that we had a reminder from the former (people),
168. Law anna ‘indanaa zikram minal awwaleen
169. لَكُنَّا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
Lakunnā `Ibāda Al-Lahi Al-Mukhlaşīna
37:169  Certainly, we (would) have been slaves (of) Allah the chosen.”
169. Lakunna ‘ibaadal laahil mukhlaseen
170. فَكَفَرُوا بِهِ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ
Fakafarū Bihi Fasawfa Ya`lamūna
37:170  But they disbelieved in it, so soon they will know.
170. Fakafaroo bihee fasawfa ya’lamoon
171. وَلَقَدْ سَبَقَتْ كَلِمَتُنَا لِعِبَادِنَا الْمُرْسَلِينَ
Wa Laqad Sabaqat Kalimatunā Li`ibādinā Al-Mursalīn
37:171  And verily, has preceded Our Word for Our slaves, the Messengers,
171. Wa laqad sabaqat Kalimatunaa li’ibaadinal mursa leen
172. إِنَّهُمْ لَهُمُ الْمَنْصُورُونَ
‘Innahum Lahumu Al-Manşūrūna
37:172  Indeed they, surely they (would be) the victorious.
172. Innaa hum lahumul mansooroon
173. وَإِنَّ جُنْدَنَا لَهُمُ الْغَالِبُونَ
Wa ‘Inna Jundanā Lahumu Al-Ghālibūna
37:173  And indeed, Our host surely, they (will be) those who overcome.
173. Wa inna jundana lahumul ghaaliboon
174. فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ
Fatawalla `Anhum Ĥattá Ĥīnin
37:174  So turn away from them until a time.
174. Fatawalla ‘anhum hatta heen
175. وَأَبْصِرْهُمْ فَسَوْفَ يُبْصِرُونَ
Wa ‘Abşirhum Fasawfa Yubşirūna
37:175  And see them, so soon they will see.
175. Wa absirhum fasawfa yubsiroon
176. أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
‘Afabi`adhābinā Yasta`jilūna
37:176  Then is (it) for Our punishment they hasten?
176. Afabi’azaabinaa yasta’jiloon
177. فَإِذَا نَزَلَ بِسَاحَتِهِمْ فَسَاءَ صَبَاحُ الْمُنْذَرِينَ
Fa’idhā Nazala Bisāĥatihim Fasā’a Şabāĥu Al-Mundharīna
37:177  But when it descends in their territory, then evil (will be) (the) morning (for) those who were warned.
177. Fa izaa nazala bisaahatihim fasaaa’a sabaahul munzareen
178. وَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ
Wa Tawalla `Anhum Ĥattá Ĥīnin
37:178  So turn away from them for a time.
178. Wa tawalla ‘anhum hattaa heen
179. وَأَبْصِرْ فَسَوْفَ يُبْصِرُونَ
Wa ‘Abşir Fasawfa Yubşirūna
37:179  And see, so soon they will see.
179. Wa absir fasawfa yubsiroon
180. سُبْحَانَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ الْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ
Subĥāna Rabbika Rabbi Al-`Izzati `Ammā Yaşifūna
37:180  Glory (be to) your Lord, (the) Lord (of) Honor, above what they attribute.
180. Subhaana Rabbika Rabbil ‘izzati ‘amma yasifoon
181. وَسَلَامٌ عَلَى الْمُرْسَلِينَ
Wa Salāmun `Alá Al-Mursalīna
37:181  And peace be upon the Messengers.
181. Wa salaamun ‘alalmursaleen
182. وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
Wa Al-Ĥamdu Lillahi Rabbi Al-`Ālamīna
37:182  And all praise (be) to Allah, (the) Lord (of) the worlds.
182. Walhamdu lillaahi Rabbil ‘aalameen (section 5)
