1. تَنْزِيلُ الْكِتَابِ مِنَ اللَّهِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَكِيمِ
Tanzīlu Al-Kitābi Mina Al-Lahi Al-`Azīzi Al-Ĥakīmi
39:1 (The) revelation (of) the Book (is) from Allah the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.
1. Tanzeelul Kitaabi minal laahil ‘Azeezil Hakeem
2. إِنَّا أَنْزَلْنَا إِلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ فَاعْبُدِ اللَّهَ مُخْلِصًا لَهُ الدِّينَ
‘Innā ‘Anzalnā ‘Ilayka Al-Kitāba Bil-Ĥaqqi Fā`budi Al-Laha Mukhlişāan Lahu Ad-Dīna
39:2 Indeed, We [We] have revealed to you the Book in truth; so worship Allah (being) sincere to Him (in) the religion.
2. Innaaa anzalnaaa ilaikal Kitaaba bilhaqqi fa’budil laaha mukhlisal lahud deen
3. أَلَا لِلَّهِ الدِّينُ الْخَالِصُ ۚ وَالَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا مِنْ دُونِهِ أَوْلِيَاءَ مَا نَعْبُدُهُمْ إِلَّا لِيُقَرِّبُونَا إِلَى اللَّهِ زُلْفَىٰ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَهُمْ فِي مَا هُمْ فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِي مَنْ هُوَ كَاذِبٌ كَفَّارٌ
‘Alā Lillahi Ad-Dīnu Al-Khālişu Wa Al-Ladhīna Attakhadhū Min Dūnihi ‘Awliyā’a Mā Na`buduhum ‘Illā Liyuqarribūnā ‘Ilá Al-Lahi Zulfá ‘Inna Al-Laha Yaĥkumu Baynahum Fī Mā Hum Fīhi Yakhtalifūna ‘Inna Al-Laha Lā Yahdī Man Huwa Kādhibun Kaffārun
39:3 Unquestionably, for Allah (is) the religion the pure. And those who take from besides Him protectors, “Not we worship them except that they may bring us near to Allah (in) nearness.” Indeed, Allah will judge between them in what they [in it] differ. Indeed, Allah (does) not guide (one) who [he] (is) a liar and a disbeliever.
3. Alaa lillaahid deenul khaalis; wallazeenat takhazoo min dooniheee awliyaaa’a maa na’buduhum illaa liyuqar riboonaaa ilal laahi zulfaa; innal laaha yahkumu baina hum fee maa hum feehi yakhtalifoon; innal laaha laa yahdee man huwa kaazibun kaffaar
4. لَوْ أَرَادَ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَتَّخِذَ وَلَدًا لَاصْطَفَىٰ مِمَّا يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَاءُ ۚ سُبْحَانَهُ ۖ هُوَ اللَّهُ الْوَاحِدُ الْقَهَّارُ
Law ‘Arāda Al-Lahu ‘An Yattakhidha Waladāan Lāşţafá Mimmā Yakhluqu Mā Yashā’u Subĥānahu Huwa Al-Lahu Al-Wāĥidu Al-Qahhāru
39:4 If (had) intended Allah to take a son, surely, He (could) have chosen from what He creates whatever He willed. Glory be to Him! He (is) Allah the One, the Irresistible.
4. Law araadal laahu aiyattakhiza waladal lastafaa mimmaa yakhluqu maa yashaaa’; Subhaanahoo Huwal laahul Waahidul Qahhaar
5. خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ بِالْحَقِّ ۖ يُكَوِّرُ اللَّيْلَ عَلَى النَّهَارِ وَيُكَوِّرُ النَّهَارَ عَلَى اللَّيْلِ ۖ وَسَخَّرَ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ ۖ كُلٌّ يَجْرِي لِأَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى ۗ أَلَا هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْغَفَّارُ
Khalaqa As-Samāwāti Wa Al-‘Arđa Bil-Ĥaqqi Yukawwiru Al-Layla `Alá An-Nahāri Wa Yukawwiru An-Nahāra `Alá Al-Layli Wa Sakhkhara Ash-Shamsa Wa Al-Qamara Kullun Yajrī Li’jalin Musammáan ‘Alā Huwa Al-`Azīzu Al-Ghaffāru
39:5 He created the heavens and the earth in [the] truth. He wraps the night over the day and wraps the day over the night. And He subjected the sun and the moon, each running for a term specified. Unquestionably, He (is) the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving.
5. Khalaqas samaawaati wal arda bilhaqq; yukawwirul laila ‘alan nahaari wa yukawwirun nahaara ‘alaal laili wa sakhkharash shamsa walqamara kulluny yajree li ajalim musammaa; alaa Huwal ‘Azeezul Ghaffaar
6. خَلَقَكُمْ مِنْ نَفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا وَأَنْزَلَ لَكُمْ مِنَ الْأَنْعَامِ ثَمَانِيَةَ أَزْوَاجٍ ۚ يَخْلُقُكُمْ فِي بُطُونِ أُمَّهَاتِكُمْ خَلْقًا مِنْ بَعْدِ خَلْقٍ فِي ظُلُمَاتٍ ثَلَاثٍ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ ۖ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُصْرَفُونَ
Khalaqakum Min Nafsin Wāĥidatin Thumma Ja`ala Minhā Zawjahā Wa ‘Anzala Lakum Mina Al-‘An`ām Thamāniyata ‘Azwājin Yakhluqukum Fī Buţūni ‘Ummahātikum Khalqāan Min Ba`di Khalqin Fī Žulumātin Thalāthin Dhalikumu Al-Lahu Rabbukum Lahu Al-Mulku Lā ‘Ilāha ‘Illā Huwa Fa’anná Tuşrafūna
39:6 He created you from a soul single. Then He made from it its mate. And He sent down for you of the cattle eight kinds. He creates you in (the) wombs (of) your mothers, creation from after creation, in darkness[es] three. That (is) Allah your Lord; for Him (is) the dominion. (There is) no god except He. Then how are you turning away?
6. Khalaqakum min nafsinw waahidatin summa ja’ala minhaa zawjahaa wa anzala lakum minal-an’aami samaani yata azwaaj; yakhlu qukum fee butooni ummahaatikum khalqam mim ba’di khalqin fee zulumaatin salaas; zaalikumul laahu Rabbukum lahul mulk; laaa ilaaha illaa Huwa fa annaa tusrafoon
7. إِنْ تَكْفُرُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَنِيٌّ عَنْكُمْ ۖ وَلَا يَرْضَىٰ لِعِبَادِهِ الْكُفْرَ ۖ وَإِنْ تَشْكُرُوا يَرْضَهُ لَكُمْ ۗ وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَىٰ ۗ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُمْ مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَيُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ۚ إِنَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ
‘In Takfurū Fa’inna Al-Laha Ghanīyun `Ankum Wa Lā Yarđá Li`ibādihi Al-Kufra Wa ‘In Tashkurū Yarđahu Lakum Wa Lā Taziru Wāziratun Wizra ‘Ukhrá Thumma ‘Ilá Rabbikum Marji`ukum Fayunabbi’ukum Bimā Kuntum Ta`malūna ‘Innahu `Alīmun Bidhāti Aş-Şudūri
39:7 If you disbelieve then indeed, Allah (is) free from need of you. And not He likes in His slaves ungratefulness. And if you are grateful He likes it in you. And not will bear bearer of burdens (the) burden (of) another. Then to your Lord (is) your return, then He will inform you about what you used to do. Indeed, He (is) the All-Knower of what (is in) the breasts.
7. In takfuroo fa innal laaha ghaniyyun ‘ankum; wa laa yardaa li’ibaadihil kufra wa in tashkuroo yardahu lakum; wa laa taziru waaziratunw wizra ukhraa; summa ilaa Rabikum marji’ukum fa-yunabbi’ukum bimaa kuntum ta’maloon; innahoo ‘aleemum bizaatissudoor
8. وَإِذَا مَسَّ الْإِنْسَانَ ضُرٌّ دَعَا رَبَّهُ مُنِيبًا إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ إِذَا خَوَّلَهُ نِعْمَةً مِنْهُ نَسِيَ مَا كَانَ يَدْعُو إِلَيْهِ مِنْ قَبْلُ وَجَعَلَ لِلَّهِ أَنْدَادًا لِيُضِلَّ عَنْ سَبِيلِهِ ۚ قُلْ تَمَتَّعْ بِكُفْرِكَ قَلِيلًا ۖ إِنَّكَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّارِ
Wa ‘Idhā Massa Al-‘Insāna Đurrun Da`ā Rabbahu Munībāan ‘Ilayhi Thumma ‘Idhā Khawwalahu Ni`matan Minhu Nasiya Mā Kāna Yad`ū ‘Ilayhi Min Qablu Wa Ja`ala Lillahi ‘Andādāan Liyuđilla `An Sabīlihi Qul Tamatta` Bikufrika Qalīlāan ‘Innaka Min ‘Aşĥābi An-Nāri
39:8 And when touches [the] man adversity, he calls his Lord turning to Him; then when He bestows on him a favor from Himself, he forgets (for) what he used to call [to] Him from before, and he sets up to Allah rivals to mislead from His Path. Say, “Enjoy in your disbelief (for) a little. Indeed, you (are) of (the) companions (of) the Fire.”
8. Wa izaa massal insaana durrun da’aa Rabbahoo muneeban ilaihi summa izaa khawwalahoo ni’matam minhu nasiya maa kaana yad’ooo ilaihi min qablu wa ja’ala lillaahi andaadal liyudilla ‘ansabeelih; qul tamatta’ bikufrika qaleelan innaka min Ashaabin Naar;
9. أَمَّنْ هُوَ قَانِتٌ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ سَاجِدًا وَقَائِمًا يَحْذَرُ الْآخِرَةَ وَيَرْجُو رَحْمَةَ رَبِّهِ ۗ قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِي الَّذِينَ يَعْلَمُونَ وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ۗ إِنَّمَا يَتَذَكَّرُ أُولُو الْأَلْبَابِ
‘Amman Huwa Qānitun ‘Ānā’a Al-Layli Sājidāan Wa Qā’imāan Yaĥdharu Al-‘Ākhirata Wa Yarjū Raĥmata Rabbihi Qul Hal Yastawī Al-Ladhīna Ya`lamūna Wa Al-Ladhīna Lā Ya`lamūna ‘Innamā Yatadhakkaru ‘Ūlū Al-‘Albābi
39:9 Is (one) who [he] (is) devoutly obedient – (during) hours (of) the night, prostrating and standing, fearing the Hereafter and hoping (for the) Mercy (of) his Lord? Say, “Are equal those who know and those who (do) not know?” Only will take heed those of understanding.
9. Amman huwa qaanitun aanaaa’al laili saajidanw wa qaaa’imai yahzarul Aakhirata wa yarjoo rahmata Rabbih; qul hal yastawil lazeena ya’lamoona wallazeena laa ya’lamoon; innamaa yatazakkaru ulul albaab (section 1)
10. قُلْ يَا عِبَادِ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا رَبَّكُمْ ۚ لِلَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا فِي هَٰذِهِ الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةٌ ۗ وَأَرْضُ اللَّهِ وَاسِعَةٌ ۗ إِنَّمَا يُوَفَّى الصَّابِرُونَ أَجْرَهُمْ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ
Qul Yā `Ibādi Al-Ladhīna ‘Āmanū Attaqū Rabbakum Lilladhīna ‘Aĥsanū Fī Hadhihi Ad-Dunyā Ĥasanatun Wa ‘Arđu Al-Lahi Wāsi`atun ‘Innamā Yuwaffá Aş-Şābirūna ‘Ajrahum Bighayri Ĥisābin
39:10 Say, “O My slaves [those] who believe! Fear your Lord. For those who do good in this world (is) good, and the earth (of) Allah (is) spacious. Only will be paid back in full the patient ones their reward without account.”
10. Qul yaa ‘ibaadil lazeena aamanut taqoo Rabbakum; lillazeena ahsanoo fee haazihid dunyaa hasanah; wa ardul laahi waasi’ah; innamaa yuwaffas saabiroona ajrahum bighayri hisab
11. قُلْ إِنِّي أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ اللَّهَ مُخْلِصًا لَهُ الدِّينَ
Qul ‘Innī ‘Umirtu ‘An ‘A`buda Al-Laha Mukhlişāan Lahu Ad-Dīna
39:11 Say, “Indeed, I [I] am commanded that I worship Allah, (being) sincere to Him (in) the religion.
11. Qul inneee umirtu an a’budal laaha mukhlisal lahud deen
12. وَأُمِرْتُ لِأَنْ أَكُونَ أَوَّلَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ
Wa ‘Umirtu Li’n ‘Akūna ‘Awwala Al-Muslimīna
39:12 And I am commanded that I be (the) first (of) those who submit.”
12. Wa umirtu li an akoona awwalal muslimeen
13. قُلْ إِنِّي أَخَافُ إِنْ عَصَيْتُ رَبِّي عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
Qul ‘Innī ‘Akhāfu ‘In `Aşaytu Rabbī `Adhāba Yawmin `Ažīmin
39:13 Say, “Indeed, I [I] fear, if I disobey my Lord, (the) punishment (of) a Day great.”
13. Qul inneee akhaafu in ‘asaitu Rabbee ‘azaaba Yawmin ‘azeem
14. قُلِ اللَّهَ أَعْبُدُ مُخْلِصًا لَهُ دِينِي
Quli Al-Laha ‘A`budu Mukhlişāan Lahu Dīni
39:14 Say, “Allah I worship (being) sincere to Him (in) my religion.
14. Qulil laaha a’budu mukhlisal lahoo deenee
15. فَاعْبُدُوا مَا شِئْتُمْ مِنْ دُونِهِ ۗ قُلْ إِنَّ الْخَاسِرِينَ الَّذِينَ خَسِرُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ وَأَهْلِيهِمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ۗ أَلَا ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ الْخُسْرَانُ الْمُبِينُ
Fā`budū Mā Shi’tum Min Dūnihi Qul ‘Inna Al-Khāsirīna Al-Ladhīna Khasirū ‘Anfusahum Wa ‘Ahlīhim Yawma Al-Qiyāmati ‘Alā Dhālika Huwa Al-Khusrānu Al-Mubīnu
39:15 So worship what you will from besides Him.” Say, “Indeed, the losers (are) those who (will) lose themselves and their families (on the) Day (of) the Resurrection. Unquestionably, that – it (is) the loss the clear.”
15. Fa’budoo maa shi’tum min doonih; qul innal khaasireenal lazeena khasirooo anfusahum wa ahleehim yawmal qiyaamah; alaa zaalika huwal khusraanul mubeen
16. لَهُمْ مِنْ فَوْقِهِمْ ظُلَلٌ مِنَ النَّارِ وَمِنْ تَحْتِهِمْ ظُلَلٌ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ يُخَوِّفُ اللَّهُ بِهِ عِبَادَهُ ۚ يَا عِبَادِ فَاتَّقُونِ
Lahum Min Fawqihim Žulalun Mina An-Nāri Wa Min Taĥtihim Žulalun Dhālika Yukhawwifu Al-Lahu Bihi `Ibādahu Yā `Ibādi Fa Attaqūni
39:16 For them from above them coverings of the Fire and from below them coverings. (With) that threatens Allah [with it] His slaves, “O My slaves! So fear Me.”
16. Lahum min fawqihim zulalum minan Naari wa min tahtihim zulal; zaalika yukhaw wiful laahu bihee ‘ibaadah; yaa ‘ibaadi fattaqoon
17. وَالَّذِينَ اجْتَنَبُوا الطَّاغُوتَ أَنْ يَعْبُدُوهَا وَأَنَابُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ لَهُمُ الْبُشْرَىٰ ۚ فَبَشِّرْ عِبَادِ
Wa Al-Ladhīna Ajtanabū Aţ-Ţāghūta ‘An Ya`budūhā Wa ‘Anābū ‘Ilá Al-Lahi Lahumu Al-Bushrá Fabashshir `Ibādi
39:17 And those who avoid the false gods lest they worship them and turn to Allah, for them (are) glad tidings. So give glad tidings (to) My slaves
17. Wallazeenaj tanabut Taaghoota ai ya’budoohaa wa anaabooo ilal laahi lahumul bushraa; fabashshir ‘ibaad
18. الَّذِينَ يَسْتَمِعُونَ الْقَوْلَ فَيَتَّبِعُونَ أَحْسَنَهُ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ هَدَاهُمُ اللَّهُ ۖ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمْ أُولُو الْأَلْبَابِ
Al-Ladhīna Yastami`ūna Al-Qawla Fayattabi`ūna ‘Aĥsanahu ‘Ūlā’ika Al-Ladhīna Hadāhumu Al-Lahu Wa ‘Ūlā’ika Hum ‘Ūlū Al-‘Albābi
39:18 Those who they listen (to) the Word, then follow the best thereof, those (are) they whom has guided them Allah, and those are [they] those of understanding.
18. Allazeena yastami’oonal qawla fayattabi’oona ahsanah; ulaaa’ikal lazeena hadaahumul laahu wa ulaaa’ika hum ulul albaab
19. أَفَمَنْ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِ كَلِمَةُ الْعَذَابِ أَفَأَنْتَ تُنْقِذُ مَنْ فِي النَّارِ
‘Afaman Ĥaqqa `Alayhi Kalimatu Al-`Adhābi ‘Afa’anta Tunqidhu Man Fī An-Nāri
39:19 Then, is (one) who, became due on him the word (of) the punishment? Then can you save (one) who (is) in the Fire?
19. Afaman haqqa ‘alaihi kalimatul ‘azaab; afa anta tunqizu man fin Naar
20. لَٰكِنِ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا رَبَّهُمْ لَهُمْ غُرَفٌ مِنْ فَوْقِهَا غُرَفٌ مَبْنِيَّةٌ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ ۖ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ ۖ لَا يُخْلِفُ اللَّهُ الْمِيعَادَ
Lakini Al-Ladhīna Attaqaw Rabbahum Lahum Ghurafun Min Fawqihā Ghurafun Mabnīyatun Tajrī Min Taĥtihā Al-‘Anhāru Wa`da Al-Lahi Lā Yukhlifu Al-Lahu Al-Mī`ād
39:20 But those who fear their Lord, for them (are) lofty mansions, from above them lofty mansions built high, flow from beneath it the rivers. (The) Promise (of) Allah. Not fails Allah (in His) promise.
20. Laakinil lazeenat taqaw Rabbahum lahum ghurafum min fawqihaa ghurafum mabniyyatun tajree min tahtihal anhaar; wa’dal laah; laa yukhliful laahul mee’aad
21. أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ أَنْزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَسَلَكَهُ يَنَابِيعَ فِي الْأَرْضِ ثُمَّ يُخْرِجُ بِهِ زَرْعًا مُخْتَلِفًا أَلْوَانُهُ ثُمَّ يَهِيجُ فَتَرَاهُ مُصْفَرًّا ثُمَّ يَجْعَلُهُ حُطَامًا ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَذِكْرَىٰ لِأُولِي الْأَلْبَابِ
‘Alam Tará ‘Anna Al-Laha ‘Anzala Mina As-Samā’i Mā’an Fasalakahu Yanābī`a Fī Al-‘Arđi Thumma Yukhriju Bihi Zar`āan Mukhtalifāan ‘Alwānuhu Thumma Yahīju Fatarāhu Muşfarrāan Thumma Yaj`aluhu Ĥuţāmāan ‘Inna Fī Dhālika Ladhikrá Li’wlī Al-‘Albābi
39:21 Do not you see that Allah sends down from the sky water and He makes it flow (as) springs in the earth; then He produces with it crops (of) different colors; then they wither and you see it turn yellow; then He makes them debris? Indeed, in that surely, (is) a reminder for those of understanding.
21. Alam tara annal laaha anzala minas samaaa’i maaa’an fasalakahoo yanaabee’a fil ardi summa yukhriju bihee zar’am mukhtalifan alwaanuhoo summa yaheeju fatarahu musfarran summa yaj’aluhoo hutaamaa; inna fee zaalika lazikraa li ulil albaab (section 2)
22. أَفَمَنْ شَرَحَ اللَّهُ صَدْرَهُ لِلْإِسْلَامِ فَهُوَ عَلَىٰ نُورٍ مِنْ رَبِّهِ ۚ فَوَيْلٌ لِلْقَاسِيَةِ قُلُوبُهُمْ مِنْ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ فِي ضَلَالٍ مُبِينٍ
‘Afaman Sharaĥa Al-Lahu Şadrahu Lil’islāmi Fahuwa `Alá Nūrin Min Rabbihi Fawaylun Lilqāsiyati Qulūbuhum Min Dhikri Al-Lahi ‘Ūlā’ika Fī Đalālin Mubīnin
39:22 So is (one for) whom has expanded Allah his breast for Islam so he (is) upon a light from his Lord. So woe to (those are) hardened their hearts from (the) remembrance (of) Allah. Those (are) in error clear.
22. Afaman sharahal laahu sadrahoo lil Islaami fahuwa ‘alaa noorim mir Rabbih; fa wailul lilqaasiyati quloobuhum min zikril laah; ulaaa’ika fee dalaalim mubeen
23. اللَّهُ نَزَّلَ أَحْسَنَ الْحَدِيثِ كِتَابًا مُتَشَابِهًا مَثَانِيَ تَقْشَعِرُّ مِنْهُ جُلُودُ الَّذِينَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُمْ ثُمَّ تَلِينُ جُلُودُهُمْ وَقُلُوبُهُمْ إِلَىٰ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُدَى اللَّهِ يَهْدِي بِهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۚ وَمَنْ يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ هَادٍ
Al-Lahu Nazzala ‘Aĥsana Al-Ĥadīthi Kitābāan Mutashābihāan Mathāniya Taqsha`irru Minhu Julūdu Al-Ladhīna Yakhshawna Rabbahum Thumma Talīnu Julūduhum Wa Qulūbuhum ‘Ilá Dhikri Al-Lahi Dhālika Hudá Al-Lahi Yahdī Bihi Man Yashā’u Wa Man Yuđlili Al-Lahu Famā Lahu Min Hādin
39:23 Allah has revealed (the) best (of) [the] statement – a Book (its parts) resembling each other oft-repeated. Shiver from it (the) skins (of) those who fear their Lord, then relax their skins and their hearts at (the) remembrance (of) Allah. That (is the) guidance (of) Allah, He guides with it whom He wills. And whoever lets go astray Allah then not for him any guide.
23. Allahu nazzala ahsanal hadeesi Kitaabam mutashaa biham masaaniy taqsha’irru minhu juloodul lazeena yakhshawna Rabbahum summa taleenu julooduhum wa quloo buhum ilaa zikril laah; zaalika hudal laahi yahdee bihee mai yashaaa’; wa mai yudlilil laahu famaa lahoo min haad
24. أَفَمَنْ يَتَّقِي بِوَجْهِهِ سُوءَ الْعَذَابِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ۚ وَقِيلَ لِلظَّالِمِينَ ذُوقُوا مَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْسِبُونَ
‘Afaman Yattaqī Biwajhihi Sū’a Al-`Adhābi Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Wa Qīla Lilžžālimīna Dhūqū Mā Kuntum Taksibūna
39:24 Then (is) he who will shield with his face (the) worst punishment (on the) Day (of) the Resurrection? And it will be said to the wrongdoers, “Taste what you used to earn.”
24. Afamai yattaqee biwaj hihee sooo’al ‘azaabi Yawmal Qiyaamah; wa qeela lizzaali meena zooqoo maa kuntum taksiboon
25. كَذَّبَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ فَأَتَاهُمُ الْعَذَابُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ
Kadhdhaba Al-Ladhīna Min Qablihim Fa’atāhumu Al-`Adhābu Min Ĥaythu Lā Yash`urūna
39:25 Denied those who (were) from before them, so came upon them the punishment from where not they perceive.
25. Kazzabal lazeena min qablihim fa ataahumul ‘azaabu min haisu laa yash’uroon
26. فَأَذَاقَهُمُ اللَّهُ الْخِزْيَ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ۖ وَلَعَذَابُ الْآخِرَةِ أَكْبَرُ ۚ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ
Fa’adhāqahumu Al-Lahu Al-Khizya Fī Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Wa La`adhābu Al-‘Ākhirati ‘Akbaru Law Kānū Ya`lamūna
39:26 So made them Allah the disgrace in the life (of) the world, and certainly (the) punishment (of) the Hereafter (is) greater, if they knew.
26. Fa azaaqahumul laahul khizya fil hayaatid dunyaa wa la’azaabul Aakhirati akbar; law kaanoo ya’lamoon
27. وَلَقَدْ ضَرَبْنَا لِلنَّاسِ فِي هَٰذَا الْقُرْآنِ مِنْ كُلِّ مَثَلٍ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
Wa Laqad Đarabnā Lilnnāsi Fī Hādhā Al-Qur’āni Min Kulli Mathalin La`allahum Yatadhakkarūna
39:27 And indeed, We have set forth for people in this Quran of every example so that they may take heed.
27. Wa laqad darabnaa linnaasi fee haazal Qur-aani min kulli masalil la’allahum yatazakkaroon
28. قُرْآنًا عَرَبِيًّا غَيْرَ ذِي عِوَجٍ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ
Qur’ānāan `Arabīyāan Ghayra Dhī `Iwajin La`allahum Yattaqūna
39:28 A Quran (in) Arabic without any crookedness so that they may (become) righteous.
28. Qur-aanan ‘Arabiyyan ghaira zee ‘iwajil la’allahum yattaqoon
29. ضَرَبَ اللَّهُ مَثَلًا رَجُلًا فِيهِ شُرَكَاءُ مُتَشَاكِسُونَ وَرَجُلًا سَلَمًا لِرَجُلٍ هَلْ يَسْتَوِيَانِ مَثَلًا ۚ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ۚ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
Đaraba Al-Lahu Mathalāan Rajulāan Fīhi Shurakā’u Mutashākisūna Wa Rajulāan Salamāan Lirajulin Hal Yastawiyāni Mathalāan Al-Ĥamdu Lillahi Bal ‘Aktharuhum Lā Ya`lamūna
39:29 sets forth Allah an example – a man about him partners quarreling and a man (belonging) exclusively to one man – are they both equal (in) comparison? All praise (be) to Allah! Nay, most of them (do) not know.
29. Darabal laahu masalar rajulan feehi shurakaaa’u mutashaakisoona wa rajulan salamal lirajulin hal yastawi yaani masalaa; alhamdu lillaah; bal aksaruhum laa ya’lamoon
30. إِنَّكَ مَيِّتٌ وَإِنَّهُمْ مَيِّتُونَ
‘Innaka Mayyitun Wa ‘Innahum Mayyitūna
39:30 Indeed, you will die and indeed, they (will also) die.
30. Innaka maiyitunw wa inna hum maiyitoon
31. ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عِنْدَ رَبِّكُمْ تَخْتَصِمُونَ
Thumma ‘Innakum Yawma Al-Qiyāmati `Inda Rabbikum Takhtaşimūna
39:31 Then indeed you, (on the) Day (of) the Resurrection, before your Lord, will dispute.
31. Summa innakum Yawmal Qiyaamati ‘inda Rabbikum takhtasimoon (section 3) (End Juz 23)
32. فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنْ كَذَبَ عَلَى اللَّهِ وَكَذَّبَ بِالصِّدْقِ إِذْ جَاءَهُ ۚ أَلَيْسَ فِي جَهَنَّمَ مَثْوًى لِلْكَافِرِينَ
Faman ‘Ažlamu Mimman Kadhaba `Alá Al-Lahi Wa Kadhdhaba Biş-Şidqi ‘Idh Jā’ahu ‘Alaysa Fī Jahannama Mathwáan Lilkāfirīna
39:32 Then who (is) more unjust than (one) who lies against Allah and denies the truth when it comes to him? Is (there) not in Hell an abode for the disbelievers?
32. Faman azlamu mimman kazaba ‘alal laahi wa kazzaba bissidqi iz jaaa’ah; alaisa fee Jahannama maswal lilkaafireen
33. وَالَّذِي جَاءَ بِالصِّدْقِ وَصَدَّقَ بِهِ ۙ أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُتَّقُونَ
Wa Al-Ladhī Jā’a Biş-Şidqi Wa Şaddaqa Bihi ‘Ūlā’ika Humu Al-Muttaqūna
39:33 And the one who brought the truth and believed in it, those [they] (are) the righteous.
33. Wallazee jaaa’a bissidqi wa saddaqa biheee ulaaa’ika humul muttaqoon
34. لَهُمْ مَا يَشَاءُونَ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ جَزَاءُ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
Lahum Mā Yashā’ūna `Inda Rabbihim Dhālika Jazā’u Al-Muĥsinīna
39:34 For them (is) what they wish with their Lord. That (is the) reward (of) the good-doers
34. Lahum maa yashaaa’oona ‘inda Rabbihim; zaalika jazaaa’ul muhsineen
35. لِيُكَفِّرَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ أَسْوَأَ الَّذِي عَمِلُوا وَيَجْزِيَهُمْ أَجْرَهُمْ بِأَحْسَنِ الَّذِي كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
Liyukaffira Al-Lahu `Anhum ‘Aswa’a Al-Ladhī `Amilū Wa Yajziyahum ‘Ajrahum Bi’aĥsani Al-Ladhī Kānū Ya`malūna
39:35 That will remove Allah from them (the) worst (of) what they did and reward them their due for (the) best (of) what they used to do.
35. Liyukaffiral laahu ‘anhum aswa allazee ‘amiloo wa yajziyahum ajrahum bi ahsanil lazee kaano ya’maloon
36. أَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِكَافٍ عَبْدَهُ ۖ وَيُخَوِّفُونَكَ بِالَّذِينَ مِنْ دُونِهِ ۚ وَمَنْ يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ هَادٍ
‘Alaysa Al-Lahu Bikāfin `Abdahu Wa Yukhawwifūnaka Bial-Ladhīna Min Dūnihi Wa Man Yuđlili Al-Lahu Famā Lahu Min Hādin
39:36 Is not Allah sufficient (for) His slave? And they threaten you with those from besides Him. And whoever lets go astray Allah – then not for him any guide.
36. Alaisal laahu bikaafin ‘abdahoo wa yukhawwi foonaka billazeena min doonih; wa mai yudlilil laahu famaa lahoo min haad
37. وَمَنْ يَهْدِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ مُضِلٍّ ۗ أَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِعَزِيزٍ ذِي انْتِقَامٍ
Wa Man Yahdi Al-Lahu Famā Lahu Min Muđillin ‘Alaysa Al-Lahu Bi`azīzin Dhī Antiqāmin
39:37 And whoever guides Allah, then not for him any misleader. Is not Allah All-Mighty, All-Able of retribution?
37. Wa mai yahdil laahu famaa lahoo min mudil; alai sal laahu bi’azeezin zin tiqaam
38. وَلَئِنْ سَأَلْتَهُمْ مَنْ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ اللَّهُ ۚ قُلْ أَفَرَأَيْتُمْ مَا تَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ إِنْ أَرَادَنِيَ اللَّهُ بِضُرٍّ هَلْ هُنَّ كَاشِفَاتُ ضُرِّهِ أَوْ أَرَادَنِي بِرَحْمَةٍ هَلْ هُنَّ مُمْسِكَاتُ رَحْمَتِهِ ۚ قُلْ حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ ۖ عَلَيْهِ يَتَوَكَّلُ الْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ
Wa La’in Sa’altahum Man Khalaqa As-Samāwāti Wa Al-‘Arđa Layaqūlunna Al-Lahu Qul ‘Afara’aytum Mā Tad`ūna Min Dūni Al-Lahi ‘In ‘Arādaniya Al-Lahu Biđurrin Hal Hunna Kāshifātu Đurrihi ‘Aw ‘Arādanī Biraĥmatin Hal Hunna Mumsikātu Raĥmatihi Qul Ĥasbiya Al-Lahu `Alayhi Yatawakkalu Al-Mutawakkilūna
39:38 And if you ask them who created the heavens and the earth? Surely, they will say, “Allah.” Say, “Then do you see what you invoke from besides Allah? if intended for me Allah harm, are they removers (of) harm (from) Him; or if He intended for me mercy, are they withholders (of) His mercy?” Say, “Sufficient (is) for me Allah; upon Him put trust those who trust.”
38. Wa la’in sa altahum man khalaqas samaawaati wal arda la yaqoolunal laah; qul afara’aitum maa tad’oona min doonil laahi in araadaniyal laahu bidurrin hal hunna kaashi faatu durriheee aw araadanee birahmatin hal hunna mumsikaatu rahmatih; qul hasbiyal laahu ‘alaihi yatawakkalul mutawakkiloon
39. قُلْ يَا قَوْمِ اعْمَلُوا عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِكُمْ إِنِّي عَامِلٌ ۖ فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ
Qul Yā Qawmi A`malū `Alá Makānatikum ‘Innī `Āmilun Fasawfa Ta`lamūna
39:39 Say, “O my people! Work (according) to your position, indeed, I am working; then soon you will know
39. Qul yaa qawmi’maloo ‘alaa makaanatikum innee ‘aamilun fasawfa ta’lamoon
40. مَنْ يَأْتِيهِ عَذَابٌ يُخْزِيهِ وَيَحِلُّ عَلَيْهِ عَذَابٌ مُقِيمٌ
Man Ya’tīhi `Adhābun Yukhzīhi Wa Yaĥillu `Alayhi `Adhābun Muqīmun
39:40 (Upon) whom will come a punishment disgracing him and descends on him a punishment everlasting.”
40. Mai yaateehi ‘azaabuny yukhzeehi wa yahillu ‘alaihi ‘azaabum muqeem
41. إِنَّا أَنْزَلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ لِلنَّاسِ بِالْحَقِّ ۖ فَمَنِ اهْتَدَىٰ فَلِنَفْسِهِ ۖ وَمَنْ ضَلَّ فَإِنَّمَا يَضِلُّ عَلَيْهَا ۖ وَمَا أَنْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِوَكِيلٍ
‘Innā ‘Anzalnā `Alayka Al-Kitāba Lilnnāsi Bil-Ĥaqqi Famani Ahtadá Falinafsihi Wa Man Đalla Fa’innamā Yađillu `Alayhā Wa Mā ‘Anta `Alayhim Biwakīlin
39:41 Indeed We, We revealed to you the Book for [the] mankind in truth. So whoever accepts guidance, then (it is) for his soul; and whoever goes astray then only he strays against his (soul). And not you (are) over them a manager.
41. Innaa anzalnaa ‘alaikal Kitaaba linnaasi bilhaqq; famanih tadaa falinafsihee wa man dalla fa innamaa yadillu ‘alaihaa wa maaa anta ‘alaihim biwakeel (section 4)
42. اللَّهُ يَتَوَفَّى الْأَنْفُسَ حِينَ مَوْتِهَا وَالَّتِي لَمْ تَمُتْ فِي مَنَامِهَا ۖ فَيُمْسِكُ الَّتِي قَضَىٰ عَلَيْهَا الْمَوْتَ وَيُرْسِلُ الْأُخْرَىٰ إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
Al-Lahu Yatawaffá Al-‘Anfusa Ĥīna Mawtihā Wa A-Atī Lam Tamut Fī Manāmihā Fayumsiku Allatī Qađá `Alayhā Al-Mawta Wa Yursilu Al-‘Ukhrá ‘Ilá ‘Ajalin Musammáan ‘Inna Fī Dhālika La’āyātin Liqawmin Yatafakkarūna
39:42 Allah takes the souls (at the) time (of) their death, and the one who (does) not die in their sleep. Then He keeps the one whom, He has decreed for them the death, and sends the others for a term specified. Indeed, in that surely (are) signs for a people who ponder.
42. Allaahu yatawaffal anfusa heena mawtihaa wallatee lam tamut fee manaamihaa fa yumsikul latee qadaa ‘alaihal mawta wa yursilul ukhraaa ilaaa ajalim musammaa; inna fee zaalika la Aayaatil liqawmai yatafakkarroon
43. أَمِ اتَّخَذُوا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ شُفَعَاءَ ۚ قُلْ أَوَلَوْ كَانُوا لَا يَمْلِكُونَ شَيْئًا وَلَا يَعْقِلُونَ
‘Ami Attakhadhū Min Dūni Al-Lahi Shufa`ā’a Qul ‘Awalaw Kānū Lā Yamlikūna Shay’āan Wa Lā Ya`qilūna
39:43 Or have they taken from besides Allah intercessors? Say, “Even though they were not possessing anything, and not they understand?”
43. Amit takhazoo min doonillaahi shufa’aaa’; qul awalaw kaanoo laa yamlikoona shai’aw wa laa ya’qiloon
44. قُلْ لِلَّهِ الشَّفَاعَةُ جَمِيعًا ۖ لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۖ ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ
Qul Lillahi Ash-Shafā`atu Jamī`āan Lahu Mulku As-Samāwāti Wa Al-‘Arđi Thumma ‘Ilayhi Turja`ūna
39:44 Say, “To Allah (belongs) the intercession all. For Him (is the) dominion (of) the heavens and the earth. Then to Him you will be returned.”
44. Qul lillaahish shafaa’atu jamee’aa; lahoo mulkus samaawaati wal ardi summa ilaihi turja’oon
45. وَإِذَا ذُكِرَ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ اشْمَأَزَّتْ قُلُوبُ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ ۖ وَإِذَا ذُكِرَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ دُونِهِ إِذَا هُمْ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ
Wa ‘Idhā Dhukira Al-Lahu Waĥdahu Ashma’azzat Qulūbu Al-Ladhīna Lā Yu’uminūna Bil-‘Ākhirati Wa ‘Idhā Dhukira Al-Ladhīna Min Dūnihi ‘Idhā Hum Yastabshirūna
39:45 And when is mentioned Allah Alone, shrink with aversion (the) hearts (of) those who (do) not believe in the Hereafter, and when are mentioned those from besides Him, behold! They rejoice.
45. Wa izaa zukiral laahu wahdahush ma azzat quloobul lazeena laa yu’minoona bil Aakhirati wa izaa zukiral lazeena min dooniheee izaa hum yastabshiroon
46. قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ فَاطِرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ عَالِمَ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ أَنْتَ تَحْكُمُ بَيْنَ عِبَادِكَ فِي مَا كَانُوا فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ
Quli Al-Lahumma Fāţira As-Samāwāti Wa Al-‘Arđi `Ālima Al-Ghaybi Wa Ash-Shahādati ‘Anta Taĥkumu Bayna `Ibādika Fī Mā Kānū Fīhi Yakhtalifūna
39:46 Say, “O Allah! Creator (of) the heavens and the earth, Knower (of) the unseen and the witnessed, You will judge between Your slaves in what they used to therein differ.”
46. Qulil laahumma faatiras samaawaati wal ardi ‘Aalimal Ghaibi washshahaadati Anta tahkumu baina ‘ibaadika fee maa kaanoo feehee yakhtalifoon
47. وَلَوْ أَنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مَا فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا وَمِثْلَهُ مَعَهُ لَافْتَدَوْا بِهِ مِنْ سُوءِ الْعَذَابِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ۚ وَبَدَا لَهُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ مَا لَمْ يَكُونُوا يَحْتَسِبُونَ
Wa Law ‘Anna Lilladhīna Žalamū Mā Fī Al-‘Arđi Jamī`āan Wa Mithlahu Ma`ahu Lāftadaw Bihi Min Sū’i Al-`Adhābi Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Wa Badā Lahum Mina Al-Lahi Mā Lam Yakūnū Yaĥtasibūna
39:47 And if (that) those who did wrong (had) whatever (is) in the earth all and (the) like of it with it, they would ransom with it from (the) evil (of) the punishment (on the) Day (of) the Resurrection. And (will) appear to them from Allah what not they had taken into account.
47. Wa law anna lillazeena zalamoo maa fil ardi jamee’anw wa mislahoo ma’ahoo laftadaw bihee min sooo’il azaabi Yawmal Qiyaamah; wa badaa lahum minal laahi maa lam yakoonoo yahtasiboon
48. وَبَدَا لَهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُ مَا كَسَبُوا وَحَاقَ بِهِمْ مَا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ
Wa Badā Lahum Sayyi’ātu Mā Kasabū Wa Ĥāqa Bihim Mā Kānū Bihi Yastahzi’ūn
39:48 And will become apparent to them (the) evils (of) what they earned, and will surround them what they used to [in it] mock.
48. Wa badaa lahum saiyiaatu maa kasaboo wa haaqa bihim maa kaanoo bihee yastahzi’oon
49. فَإِذَا مَسَّ الْإِنْسَانَ ضُرٌّ دَعَانَا ثُمَّ إِذَا خَوَّلْنَاهُ نِعْمَةً مِنَّا قَالَ إِنَّمَا أُوتِيتُهُ عَلَىٰ عِلْمٍ ۚ بَلْ هِيَ فِتْنَةٌ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
Fa’idhā Massa Al-‘Insāna Đurrun Da`ānā Thumma ‘Idhā Khawwalnāhu Ni`matan Minnā Qāla ‘Innamā ‘Ūtītuhu `Alá `Ilmin Bal Hiya Fitnatun Wa Lakinna ‘Aktharahum Lā Ya`lamūna
39:49 So when touches [the] man adversity, he calls upon Us; then when We bestow (on) him a favor from Us, he says, “Only, I have been given it for knowledge.” Nay, it (is) a trial, but most of them (do) not know.
49. Fa izaa massal insaana durrun da’aanaa summa izaa khawwalnaahu ni’matam minna qaala innamaaa ootee tuhoo ‘alaa ‘ilm; bal hiya fitna tunw wa laakinna aksarahum laa ya’lamoon
50. قَدْ قَالَهَا الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ فَمَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ
Qad Qālahā Al-Ladhīna Min Qablihim Famā ‘Aghná `Anhum Mā Kānū Yaksibūna
39:50 Indeed, said it those from before them, but (did) not avail them what they used to earn.
50. Qad qaalahal lazeena min qablihim famaaa aghnaa ‘anhum maa kaanoo yaksiboon
51. فَأَصَابَهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُ مَا كَسَبُوا ۚ وَالَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مِنْ هَٰؤُلَاءِ سَيُصِيبُهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُ مَا كَسَبُوا وَمَا هُمْ بِمُعْجِزِينَ
Fa’aşābahum Sayyi’ātu Mā Kasabū Wa Al-Ladhīna Žalamū Min Hā’uulā’ Sayuşībuhum Sayyi’ātu Mā Kasabū Wa Mā Hum Bimu`jizīna
39:51 Then struck them (the) evils (of) what they earned. And those who have wronged of these, will strike them (the) evils (of) what they earned; and not they will be able to escape.
51. Fa asaabahum saiyi aatu maa kasaboo; wallazeena zalamoo min haaa’ulaaa’i sa yuseebuhum saiyi aatu maa kasaboo wa maa hum bimu’jizeen
52. أَوَلَمْ يَعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَقْدِرُ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ
‘Awalam Ya`lamū ‘Anna Al-Laha Yabsuţu Ar-Rizqa Liman Yashā’u Wa Yaqdiru ‘Inna Fī Dhālika La’āyātin Liqawmin Yu’uminūna
39:52 Do not they know that Allah extends the provision for whom He wills and restricts. Indeed, in that surely (are) signs for a people who believe.
52. Awalam ya’lamooo annal laaha yabsutur rizqa limai yashaaa’u wa yaqdir; inna fee zaalika la Aayaatil liqawminy yu’minoon (section 5)
53. قُلْ يَا عِبَادِيَ الَّذِينَ أَسْرَفُوا عَلَىٰ أَنْفُسِهِمْ لَا تَقْنَطُوا مِنْ رَحْمَةِ اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ جَمِيعًا ۚ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ
Qul Yā `Ibādī Al-Ladhīna ‘Asrafū `Alá ‘Anfusihim Lā Taqnaţū Min Raĥmati Al-Lahi ‘Inna Al-Laha Yaghfiru Adh-Dhunūba Jamī`āan ‘Innahu Huwa Al-Ghafūru Ar-Raĥīmu
39:53 Say, “O My slaves! Those who have transgressed against themselves, (do) not despair of (the) Mercy (of) Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives the sins all. Indeed He, He (is) the Oft-Forgiving, the Most Merciful.
53. Qul yaa’ibaadiyal lazeena asrafoo ‘alaaa anfusihim laa taqnatoo mirrahmatil laah; innal laaha yaghfiruz zunooba jamee’aa; innahoo Huwal Ghafoorur Raheem
54. وَأَنِيبُوا إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُمْ وَأَسْلِمُوا لَهُ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَكُمُ الْعَذَابُ ثُمَّ لَا تُنْصَرُونَ
Wa ‘Anībū ‘Ilá Rabbikum Wa ‘Aslimū Lahu Min Qabli ‘An Ya’tiyakumu Al-`Adhābu Thumma Lā Tunşarūna
39:54 And turn to your Lord and submit to Him from before [that] comes to you the punishment; then not you will be helped.
54. Wa aneebooo ilaa Rabbikum wa aslimoo lahoo min qabli any yaatiyakumul ‘azaabu summa laa tunsaroon
55. وَاتَّبِعُوا أَحْسَنَ مَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَكُمُ الْعَذَابُ بَغْتَةً وَأَنْتُمْ لَا تَشْعُرُونَ
Wa Attabi`ū ‘Aĥsana Mā ‘Unzila ‘Ilaykum Min Rabbikum Min Qabli ‘An Ya’tiyakumu Al-`Adhābu Baghtatan Wa ‘Antum Lā Tash`urūna
39:55 And follow (the) best (of) what is revealed to you from your Lord from before [that] comes to you the punishment suddenly, while you (do) not perceive,
55. Wattabi’ooo ahsana maaa unzila ilaikum mir Rabbikum min qabli aiyaatiyakumal ‘azaabu baghtatanw wa antum laa tash’uroon
56. أَنْ تَقُولَ نَفْسٌ يَا حَسْرَتَا عَلَىٰ مَا فَرَّطْتُ فِي جَنْبِ اللَّهِ وَإِنْ كُنْتُ لَمِنَ السَّاخِرِينَ
‘An Taqūla Nafsun Yā Ĥasratā `Alá Mā Farraţtu Fī Janbi Al-Lahi Wa ‘In Kuntu Lamina As-Sākhirīna
39:56 Lest should say a soul, “Oh! My regret over what I neglected in regard (to) Allah and that I was surely, among the mockers.”
56. An taqoola nafsuny yaahasrataa ‘alaa maa farrattu fee jambil laahi wa in kuntu laminas saakhireen
57. أَوْ تَقُولَ لَوْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ هَدَانِي لَكُنْتُ مِنَ الْمُتَّقِينَ
‘Aw Taqūla Law ‘Anna Al-Laha Hadānī Lakuntu Mina Al-Muttaqīna
39:57 Or it should say, “If that Allah (had) guided me, surely, I (would) have been among the righteous.”
57. Aw taqoola law annal laaha hadaanee lakuntu minal muttaqeen
58. أَوْ تَقُولَ حِينَ تَرَى الْعَذَابَ لَوْ أَنَّ لِي كَرَّةً فَأَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
‘Aw Taqūla Ĥīna Tará Al-`Adhāba Law ‘Anna Lī Karratan Fa’akūna Mina Al-Muĥsinīna
39:58 Or it should say when it sees the punishment, “If only for me another chance then I could be among the good-doers.”
58. Aw taqoola heena taral ‘azaaba law anna lee karratan fa akoona minal muhsineen
59. بَلَىٰ قَدْ جَاءَتْكَ آيَاتِي فَكَذَّبْتَ بِهَا وَاسْتَكْبَرْتَ وَكُنْتَ مِنَ الْكَافِرِينَ
Balá Qad Jā’atka ‘Āyātī Fakadhdhabta Bihā Wa Astakbarta Wa Kunta Mina Al-Kāfirīna
39:59 “Yes, verily came to you My Verses, but you denied them and were arrogant, and you were among the disbelievers.
59. Balaa qad jaaa’atka aayaatee fa kazzabta bihaa wa stakbarta wa kunta minal kaafireen
60. وَيَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ تَرَى الَّذِينَ كَذَبُوا عَلَى اللَّهِ وُجُوهُهُمْ مُسْوَدَّةٌ ۚ أَلَيْسَ فِي جَهَنَّمَ مَثْوًى لِلْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ
Wa Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Tará Al-Ladhīna Kadhabū `Alá Al-Lahi Wujūhuhum Muswaddatun ‘Alaysa Fī Jahannama Mathwáan Lilmutakabbirīna
39:60 And (on the) Day (of) the Resurrection you will see those who lied about Allah, their faces (will be) blackened. Is (there) not in Hell an abode for the arrogant?
60. Wa Yawmal Qiyaamati taral lazeena kazaboo ‘alallaahi wujoohuhum muswaddah; alaisa fee Jahannama maswal lilmutakabbireen
61. وَيُنَجِّي اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا بِمَفَازَتِهِمْ لَا يَمَسُّهُمُ السُّوءُ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ
Wa Yunajjī Al-Lahu Al-Ladhīna Attaqaw Bimafāzatihim Lā Yamassuhumu As-Sū’u Wa Lā Hum Yaĥzanūna
39:61 And will deliver Allah those who feared (Him) to their place of salvation; not will touch them the evil, and not they will grieve.
61. Wa yunajjil laahul lazee nat taqaw bimafaazatihim laa yamassuhumus sooo’u wa laa hum yahzanoon
62. اللَّهُ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ ۖ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَكِيلٌ
Al-Lahu Khāliqu Kulli Shay’in Wa Huwa `Alá Kulli Shay’in Wa Kīlun
39:62 Allah (is the) Creator (of) all things, and He (is) over all things a Guardian.
62. Allaahu khaaliqu kulli shai’inw wa Huwa ‘alaa kulli shai’inw Wakeel
63. لَهُ مَقَالِيدُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۗ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ
Lahu Maqālīdu As-Samāwāti Wa Al-‘Arđi Wa Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Bi’āyāti Al-Lahi ‘Ūlā’ika Humu Al-Khāsirūna
39:63 For Him (are the) keys (of) the heavens and the earth. And those who disbelieve in (the) Verses (of) Allah, those – they (are) the losers.
63. Lahoo maqaaleedus sa maawaati wal ard; wallazeena kafaroo bi ayaatil laahi ulaaa’ika humul khaasiroon (section 6)
64. قُلْ أَفَغَيْرَ اللَّهِ تَأْمُرُونِّي أَعْبُدُ أَيُّهَا الْجَاهِلُونَ
Qul ‘Afaghayra Al-Lahi Ta’murūnnī ‘A`budu ‘Ayyuhā Al-Jāhilūna
39:64 Say, “Is (it) other than Allah you order me (to) worship, O ignorant ones?”
64. Qul afaghairal laahi taamurooonneee a’budu ayyuhal jaahiloon
65. وَلَقَدْ أُوحِيَ إِلَيْكَ وَإِلَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ لَئِنْ أَشْرَكْتَ لَيَحْبَطَنَّ عَمَلُكَ وَلَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ
Wa Laqad ‘Ūĥiya ‘Ilayka Wa ‘Ilá Al-Ladhīna Min Qablika La’in ‘Ashrakta Layaĥbaţanna `Amaluka Wa Latakūnanna Mina Al-Khāsirīna
39:65 And verily, it has been revealed to you and to those who (were) from before you, if you associate (with Allah) surely, will become worthless your deeds and you will surely be among the losers.
65. Wa laqad oohiya ilaika wa ilal lazeena min qablika la in ashrakta la yahbatanna ‘amalu ka wa latakoonanna minal khaasireen
66. بَلِ اللَّهَ فَاعْبُدْ وَكُنْ مِنَ الشَّاكِرِينَ
Bali Al-Laha Fā`bud Wa Kun Mina Ash-Shākirīna
39:66 Nay! Allah but worship and be among the thankful ones.
66. Balil laahha fa’bud wa kum minash shaakireen
67. وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ وَالْأَرْضُ جَمِيعًا قَبْضَتُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَالسَّمَاوَاتُ مَطْوِيَّاتٌ بِيَمِينِهِ ۚ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
Wa Mā Qadarū Al-Laha Ĥaqqa Qadrihi Wa Al-‘Arđu Jamī`āan Qabđatuhu Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Wa As-Samāwātu Maţwīyātun Biyamīnihi Subĥānahu Wa Ta`ālá `Ammā Yushrikūna
39:67 And not they appraised Allah (with) true appraisal, while the earth entirely (will be) in His Grip (on the) Day (of) the Resurrection, and the heavens (will be) folded in His Right Hand. Glory be to Him! And High is He above what they associate (with Him).
67. Wa maa qadarul laaha haqqa qadrihee wal ardu jamee ‘an qabdatuhoo Yawmal Qiyaamati wassamaawaatu matwiyyaatum biyameenih; Subhaanahoo wa Ta’aalaa ‘amma yushrikoon
68. وَنُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ فَصَعِقَ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا مَنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ ۖ ثُمَّ نُفِخَ فِيهِ أُخْرَىٰ فَإِذَا هُمْ قِيَامٌ يَنْظُرُونَ
Wa Nufikha Fī Aş-Şūri Faşa`iqa Man Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Man Fī Al-‘Arđi ‘Illā Man Shā’a Al-Lahu Thumma Nufikha Fīhi ‘Ukhrá Fa’idhā Hum Qiyāmun Yanžurūna
39:68 And (will) be blown [in] the trumpet, then (will) fall dead whoever (is) in the heavens and whoever (is) on the earth except whom wills Allah. Then (it will) be blown [in it] a second time, and behold! They (will be) standing waiting.
68. Wa nufikha fis Soori fasa’iqa man fis samaawaati wa man fil ardi illaa man shaa’al lahu summa nufikha feehi ukhraa fa izaa hum qiyaamuny yanzuroon
69. وَأَشْرَقَتِ الْأَرْضُ بِنُورِ رَبِّهَا وَوُضِعَ الْكِتَابُ وَجِيءَ بِالنَّبِيِّينَ وَالشُّهَدَاءِ وَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ بِالْحَقِّ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ
Wa ‘Ashraqati Al-‘Arđu Binūri Rabbihā Wa Wuđi`a Al-Kitābu Wa Jī’a Bin-Nabīyīna Wa Ash-Shuhadā’i Wa Quđiya Baynahum Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa Hum Lā Yužlamūna
39:69 And (will) shine the earth with (the) light (of) its Lord and (will) be placed the Record and (will) be brought the Prophets and the witnesses, and it (will) be judged between them in truth, and they not will be wronged.
69. Wa ashraqatil ardu binoori Rabbihaa wa wudi’al Kitaabu wa jeee’a bin nabiyyeena wash shuhadaaa’i wa qudiya bainahum bilhaqqi wa hum laa yuzlamoon
70. وَوُفِّيَتْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَا عَمِلَتْ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَفْعَلُونَ
Wa Wuffiyat Kullu Nafsin Mā `Amilat Wa Huwa ‘A`lamu Bimā Yaf`alūna
39:70 And (will) be paid in full every soul what it did; and He (is the) Best-Knower of what they do.
70. Wa wuffiyat kullu nafsim maa ‘amilat wa Huwa a’lamu bimaa yaf’aloon (section 7)
71. وَسِيقَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ زُمَرًا ۖ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَاءُوهَا فُتِحَتْ أَبْوَابُهَا وَقَالَ لَهُمْ خَزَنَتُهَا أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ رُسُلٌ مِنْكُمْ يَتْلُونَ عَلَيْكُمْ آيَاتِ رَبِّكُمْ وَيُنْذِرُونَكُمْ لِقَاءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هَٰذَا ۚ قَالُوا بَلَىٰ وَلَٰكِنْ حَقَّتْ كَلِمَةُ الْعَذَابِ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ
Wa Sīqa Al-Ladhīna Kafarū ‘Ilá Jahannama Zumarāan Ĥattá ‘Idhā Jā’ūhā Futiĥat ‘Abwābuhā Wa Qāla Lahum Khazanatuhā ‘Alam Ya’tikum Rusulun Minkum Yatlūna `Alaykum ‘Āyāti Rabbikum Wa Yundhirūnakum Liqā’a Yawmikum Hādhā Qālū Balá Wa Lakin Ĥaqqat Kalimatu Al-`Adhābi `Alá Al-Kāfirīna
39:71 And (will) be driven those who disbelieve to Hell (in) groups until when they reach it, (will) be opened its gates and (will) say to them its keepers, “Did not come to you Messengers from you reciting to you (the) Verses (of) your Lord and warning you (of the) meeting (of) your Day this?” They (will) say, “Yes!” But has been justified (the) word (of) punishment against the disbelievers.
71. Wa seeqal lazeena kafaroo ilaa jahannama zumaraa hattaaa izaa jaaa’oohaa futihat abwaabuhaa wa qaala lahum khazanatuhaaa alam ya’tikum Rusulun minkum yatloona ‘alaikum Aayaati Rabbikum wa yunziroonakum liqaaa’a Yawmikum haazaa; qaaloo balaa wa laakin haqqat kalimatul ‘azaabi ‘alal kaafireen
72. قِيلَ ادْخُلُوا أَبْوَابَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۖ فَبِئْسَ مَثْوَى الْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ
Qīla Adkhulū ‘Abwāba Jahannama Khālidīna Fīhā Fabi’sa Mathwá Al-Mutakabbirīna
39:72 It will be said, “Enter (the) gates (of) Hell (to) abide eternally therein, and wretched is (the) abode (of) the arrogant.”
72. Qeelad khuloo abwaaba jahannama khaalideena feeha fabi’sa maswal mutakabbireen
73. وَسِيقَ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا رَبَّهُمْ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ زُمَرًا ۖ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَاءُوهَا وَفُتِحَتْ أَبْوَابُهَا وَقَالَ لَهُمْ خَزَنَتُهَا سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكُمْ طِبْتُمْ فَادْخُلُوهَا خَالِدِينَ
Wa Sīqa Al-Ladhīna Attaqaw Rabbahum ‘Ilá Al-Jannati Zumarāan Ĥattá ‘Idhā Jā’ūhā Wa Futiĥat ‘Abwābuhā Wa Qāla Lahum Khazanatuhā Salāmun `Alaykum Ţibtum Fādkhulūhā Khālidīna
39:73 And (will) be driven those who feared their Lord, to Paradise (in) groups until when they reach it and (will) be opened its gates and (will) say to them its keepers, “Peace be upon you, you have done well, so enter it (to) abide eternally.”
73. Wa seeqal lazeenat taqaw Rabbahum ilal Jannati zumaraa hattaaa izaa jaaa’oohaa wa futihat abwaabuhaa wa qaala lahum khazanatuhaa salaamun ‘alaikum tibtum fadkhuloohaa khaalideen
74. وَقَالُوا الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي صَدَقَنَا وَعْدَهُ وَأَوْرَثَنَا الْأَرْضَ نَتَبَوَّأُ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ حَيْثُ نَشَاءُ ۖ فَنِعْمَ أَجْرُ الْعَامِلِينَ
Wa Qālū Al-Ĥamdu Lillahi Al-Ladhī Şadaqanā Wa`dahu Wa ‘Awrathanā Al-‘Arđa Natabawwa’u Mina Al-Jannati Ĥaythu Nashā’u Fani`ma ‘Ajru Al-`Āmilīna
39:74 And they will say, “All praise (be) to Allah, Who has fulfilled for us His promise and has made us inherit the earth, we may settle [from] (in) Paradise wherever we wish. So excellent (is the) reward (of) the workers.“
74. Wa qaalull hamdulillaahil lazee sadaqanaa wa’dahoo wa awrasanal arda natabaw wa-u minal jannati haisu nashaaa’u fani’ma ajrul ‘aamileen
75. وَتَرَى الْمَلَائِكَةَ حَافِّينَ مِنْ حَوْلِ الْعَرْشِ يُسَبِّحُونَ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ ۖ وَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ بِالْحَقِّ وَقِيلَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
Wa Tará Al-Malā’ikata Ĥāffīna Min Ĥawli Al-`Arshi Yusabbiĥūna Biĥamdi Rabbihim Wa Quđiya Baynahum Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa Qīla Al-Ĥamdu Lillahi Rabbi Al-`Ālamīna
39:75 And you will see the Angels surrounding [from] around the Throne glorifying (the) praise (of) their Lord. And (will) be judged between them in truth, and it will be said, “All praise be to Allah, (the) Lord (of) the worlds.”
75. Wa taral malaaa’ikata haaaffeena min hawlil ‘Arshi yusabbihoona bihamdi Rabbihim wa qudiya bainahum bilhaqqi wa qeelal hamdu lillaahi Rabbil ‘aalameen (section 8)
