3. كَذَٰلِكَ يُوحِي إِلَيْكَ وَإِلَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ اللَّهُ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ
Kadhālika Yūĥī ‘Ilayka Wa ‘Ilá Al-Ladhīna Min Qablika Al-Lahu Al-`Azīzu Al-Ĥakīmu
42:3  Thus reveals to you, and to those from before you Allah the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.
3. Kazaalika yooheee ilaika wa ilal lazeena min qablikal laahul ‘Azeezul Hakeem
4. لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۖ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ
Lahu  As-Samāwāti Wa Mā  Al-‘Arđi Wa Huwa Al-`Alīyu Al-`Ažīmu
42:4  To Him (belong) whatever (is) in the heavens and whatever (is) in the earth, and He (is) the Most High, the Most Great.
4. Lahoo maa fis samaa waati wa maa fil ardi wa Huwal ‘Aliyul ‘Azeem
5. تَكَادُ السَّمَاوَاتُ يَتَفَطَّرْنَ مِنْ فَوْقِهِنَّ ۚ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ يُسَبِّحُونَ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَ لِمَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ ۗ أَلَا إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ
Takādu As-Samāwātu Yatafaţţarna Min Fawqihinna Wa Al-Malā’ikatu Yusabbiĥūna Biĥamdi Rabbihim Wa Yastaghfirūna Liman Fī Al-‘Arđi ‘Alā ‘Inna Al-Laha Huwa Al-Ghafūru Ar-Raĥīmu
42:5  Almost the heavens break up from above them, and the Angels glorify (the) praise (of) their Lord and ask for forgiveness for those on the earth. Unquestionably, indeed, Allah, He (is) the Oft-Forgiving, the Most Merciful.
5. Takaadus samaawaatu yatafattarna min fawqihinn; walmalaaa’ikatu yusabbihoona bihamdi Rabbihim wa yastaghfiroona liman fil ard; alaaa innal laaha huwal Ghafoorur Raheem
6. وَالَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا مِنْ دُونِهِ أَوْلِيَاءَ اللَّهُ حَفِيظٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَمَا أَنْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِوَكِيلٍ
Wa Al-Ladhīna Attakhadhū Min Dūnihi ‘Awliyā’a Al-Lahu Ĥafīžun `Alayhim Wa Mā ‘Anta `Alayhim Biwakīlin
42:6  And those who take from besides protectors, Allah (is) a Guardian over them, and not you (are) over them a manager.
6. Wallazeenat takhazoo min dooniheee awliyaaa’al laahu hafeezun ‘alaihim wa maaa anta ‘alaihim biwakeel
7. وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ قُرْآنًا عَرَبِيًّا لِتُنْذِرَ أُمَّ الْقُرَىٰ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهَا وَتُنْذِرَ يَوْمَ الْجَمْعِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ ۚ فَرِيقٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَفَرِيقٌ فِي السَّعِيرِ
Wa KadhalikaAwĥaynā Ilayka Qur’ānāan `Arabīyāan Litundhira Umma Al-Qurá Wa Man Ĥawlahā Wa Tundhira Yawma Al-Jam`i Rayba Fīhi Farīqun Fī Al-Jannati Wa Farīqun Fī As-Sa`īri
42:7  And thus We have revealed to you a Quran (in) Arabic, that you may warn (the) mother (of) the towns, and whoever (is) around it, and warn (of the) Day (of) Assembly, (there is) no doubt in it. A party (will be) in Paradise and a party in the Blazing Fire.
7. Wa kazaalika awhainaaa llaika Qur-aanan ‘Arabiyyal litunzira Ummal Quraa wa man hawlahaa wa tunzira Yawmal Jam’i laa raiba feeh; fareequn fil jannati wa fareequn fissa’eer
8. وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَجَعَلَهُمْ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَلَٰكِنْ يُدْخِلُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ فِي رَحْمَتِهِ ۚ وَالظَّالِمُونَ مَا لَهُمْ مِنْ وَلِيٍّ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ
Wa Law Shā’a Al-Lahu Laja`alahumUmmatan Wāĥidatan Wa Lakin Yudkhilu Man Yashā’u Raĥmatihi Wa Až-Žālimūna Lahum Min Wa Līyin Wa Lā Naşīrin
42:8  And if willed Allah, He could have made them a community one, but He admits whom He wills in (to) His Mercy. And the wrongdoers, not for them any protector and not any helper.
8. Wa law shaaa’al laahu laja’alahum ummatanw waahi datanw walaakiny yudkhilumany yashaaa’u fee rahmatih; waz zaalimoona maa lahum minw waliyyinw wa laa naseer
9. أَمِ اتَّخَذُوا مِنْ دُونِهِ أَوْلِيَاءَ ۖ فَاللَّهُ هُوَ الْوَلِيُّ وَهُوَ يُحْيِي الْمَوْتَىٰ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
‘Am Attakhadhū Min Dūnihi ‘Awliyā’a Fa-Allāhu Huwa Al-Walīyu Wa Huwa Yuĥyī Al-Mawtá Wa Huwa `Alá Kulli Shay’in Qadīrun
42:9  Or have they taken from besides Him protectors? But Allah – He (is) the Protector, and He gives life (to) the dead. And He (is) on every thing All-Powerful.
9. Amit takhazoo min dooniheee awliyaaa’a fallaahu Huwal Waliyyu wa Huwa yuhyil mawtaa wa Huwa ‘alaa kulli shai’in Qadeer (section 1)
10. وَمَا اخْتَلَفْتُمْ فِيهِ مِنْ شَيْءٍ فَحُكْمُهُ إِلَى اللَّهِ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبِّي عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَإِلَيْهِ أُنِيبُ
Wa Mā Akhtalaftum Fīhi Min Shay’in Faĥukmuhu Ilá Al-Lahi Dhalikumu Al-Lahu Rabbī `Alayhi Tawakkaltu Wa ‘Ilayhi ‘Unību
42:10  And whatever you differ in it of a thing, then its ruling (is) to Allah. That (is) Allah, my Lord, upon Him I put my trust and to Him I turn.
10. Wa makh-talaftum feehi min shai’in fahukmuhooo ilallaah; zaalikumul laahu Rabbee ‘alaihi tawakkaltu wa ilaihi uneeb
11. فَاطِرُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ جَعَلَ لَكُمْ مِنْ أَنْفُسِكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا وَمِنَ الْأَنْعَامِ أَزْوَاجًا ۖ يَذْرَؤُكُمْ فِيهِ ۚ لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَيْءٌ ۖ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ
Fāţiru As-Samāwāti Wa Al-‘Arđi Ja`ala Lakum Min Anfusikum ‘Azwājāan Wa Mina Al-‘An`ām ‘Azwājāan Yadhra’uukum Fīhi Laysa Kamithlihi Shay’un Wa Huwa As-Samī`u Al-Başīru
42:11  (The) Creator (of) the heavens and the earth. He made for you from yourselves, mates, and among the cattle mates; He multiplies you thereby. (There) is not like Him anything, and He (is) the All-Hearer, the All-Seer.

11. Faatirus samaawaati wal ard; ja’ala lakum min anfusikum azwaajanw wa minal an’aami azwaajai yazra’ukum feeh; laisa kamislihee shai’unw wa Huwas Samee’ul Baseer
12. لَهُ مَقَالِيدُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۖ يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَقْدِرُ ۚ إِنَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ
Lahu Maqālīdu As-Samāwāti Wa Al-‘Arđi Yabsuţu Ar-Rizqa Liman Yashā’u Wa Yaqdiru ‘Innahu Bikulli Shay’in `Alīmun
42:12  To Him (belongs) (the) keys (of) the heavens and the earth. He extends the provision for whom He wills and restricts. Indeed, He of every thing (is) All-Knower.
12. Lahoo maqaaleedus samaawaati wal ardi yabsutur rizqa limai yashaaa’u wa yaqdir; innahoo bikulli shai’in ‘Aleem
13. شَرَعَ لَكُمْ مِنَ الدِّينِ مَا وَصَّىٰ بِهِ نُوحًا وَالَّذِي أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ وَمَا وَصَّيْنَا بِهِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ وَعِيسَىٰ ۖ أَنْ أَقِيمُوا الدِّينَ وَلَا تَتَفَرَّقُوا فِيهِ ۚ كَبُرَ عَلَى الْمُشْرِكِينَ مَا تَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَيْهِ ۚ اللَّهُ يَجْتَبِي إِلَيْهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَهْدِي إِلَيْهِ مَنْ يُنِيبُ
Shara`a Lakum Mina Ad-Dīni Waşşá Bihi Nūĥāan Wa Al-Ladhī ‘Awĥaynā ‘Ilayka Wa Mā Waşşaynā Bihi ‘Ibrāhīma Wa Mūsá Wa `Īsá ‘An ‘Aqīmū Ad-Dīna Wa Lā Tatafarraqū Fīhi Kabura `Alá Al-Mushrikīna Tad`ūhum ‘Ilayhi Al-Lahu Yajtabī ‘Ilayhi Man Yashā’u Wa Yahdī ‘Ilayhi Man Yunību
42:13  He has ordained for you of the religion what He enjoined upon Nuh, and that which We have revealed to you, and what We enjoined upon Ibrahim and Musa and Isa. To establish the religion and not be divided therein. Is difficult on the polytheists what you call them to it. Allah chooses for Himself whom He wills, and guides to Himself whoever turns.
13. Shara’a lakum minad deeni maa wassaa bihee Noohanw wallazeee awhainaaa ilaika wa maa wassainaa biheee Ibraaheema wa Moosa wa ‘Eesaaa an aqeemud deena wa laa tatafarraqoo feeh; kabura ‘alal mushrikeena maa tad’oohum ilaih; Allaahu yajtabee ilaihi mai yashaaa’u wa yahdeee ilaihi mai yuneeb
14. وَمَا تَفَرَّقُوا إِلَّا مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَهُمُ الْعِلْمُ بَغْيًا بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِنْ رَبِّكَ إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى لَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ وَإِنَّ الَّذِينَ أُورِثُوا الْكِتَابَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ لَفِي شَكٍّ مِنْهُ مُرِيبٍ
Wa Mā Tafarraqū ‘Illā Min Ba`di Jā’ahumu Al-`Ilmu Baghyāan Baynahum Wa Lawlā Kalimatun Sabaqat Min Rabbika Ilá ‘Ajalin Musammáan Laquđiya Baynahum Wa ‘Inna Al-Ladhīna ‘Ūrithū Al-Kitāba Min Ba`dihim Lafī Shakkin Minhu Murībin
42:14  And not they became divided until from after [what] came to them the knowledge (out of) rivalry, among them. And if not (for) a word (that) preceded from your Lord for a term specified, surely, it (would have) been settled between them. And indeed, those who were made to inherit the Book from after them (are) surely in doubt concerning it – disquieting.
14. Wa maa tafarraqooo illaa mim ba’di maa jaaa’ahumul ‘ilmu baghyam bainahum; wa law laa Kalimatun sabaqat mir Rabbika ilaaa ajalim musammal laqudiya bainahum; wa innal lazeena oorisul Kitaaba mim ba’dihim lafee shakkim minhu mureeb
15. فَلِذَٰلِكَ فَادْعُ ۖ وَاسْتَقِمْ كَمَا أُمِرْتَ ۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ ۖ وَقُلْ آمَنْتُ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ مِنْ كِتَابٍ ۖ وَأُمِرْتُ لِأَعْدِلَ بَيْنَكُمُ ۖ اللَّهُ رَبُّنَا وَرَبُّكُمْ ۖ لَنَا أَعْمَالُنَا وَلَكُمْ أَعْمَالُكُمْ ۖ لَا حُجَّةَ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمُ ۖ اللَّهُ يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَنَا ۖ وَإِلَيْهِ الْمَصِيرُ
Falidhalika Fād`u Wa Astaqim Kamā ‘Umirta Wa Lā Tattabi` ‘Ahwā’ahum Wa Qul ‘Āmantu Bimā ‘Anzala Al-Lahu Min Kitābin Wa ‘Umirtu Li’`dila Baynakumu Al-Lahu Rabbunā Wa Rabbukum Lanā ‘A`mālunā Wa Lakum ‘A`mālukum Ĥujjata Baynanā Wa Baynakumu Al-Lahu Yajma`u Baynanā Wa ‘Ilayhi Al-Maşīru
42:15  So to that then invite, and stand firm as you are commanded and (do) not follow their desires, but say, “I believe in what has sent down Allah of (the) Book, and I am commanded that I do justice between you. Allah (is) our Lord and your Lord. For us our deeds and for you your deeds. (There is) no argument between us and between you. Allah will assemble [between] us, and to Him (is) the final return.”
15. Falizaalika fad’u wastaqim kamaaa umirta wa laa tattabi’ ahwaaa’ahum wa qul aamantu bimaaa anzalal laahu min Kitaab, wa umirtu li a’dila bainakum Allaahu Rabbunaa wa Rabbukum lanaaa a’maa lunaa wa lakum a’maalukum laa hujjata bainanaa wa baina kumul laahu yajma’u bainanaa wa ilaihil maseer
16. وَالَّذِينَ يُحَاجُّونَ فِي اللَّهِ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا اسْتُجِيبَ لَهُ حُجَّتُهُمْ دَاحِضَةٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ وَعَلَيْهِمْ غَضَبٌ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ
Wa Al-Ladhīna Yuĥājjūna Fī Al-Lahi Min Ba`di  Astujība Lahu Ĥujjatuhum Dāĥiđatun `Inda Rabbihim Wa `Alayhim Ghađabun Wa Lahum `Adhābun Shadīdun
42:16  And those who argue concerning Allah from after [what] response has been made to Him, their argument (is) invalid with their Lord, and upon them (is) wrath, and for them (is) a punishment severe.
16. Wallazeena yuhaaajjoona fil laahi mim ba’di mastujeeba lahoo hujjatuhum daahidatun ‘inda Rabbihim wa ‘alaihim ghadabunw wa lahum ‘azaabun shadeed
17. اللَّهُ الَّذِي أَنْزَلَ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ وَالْمِيزَانَ ۗ وَمَا يُدْرِيكَ لَعَلَّ السَّاعَةَ قَرِيبٌ
Al-Lahu Al-Ladhī ‘Anzala Al-Kitāba Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa Al-Mīzāna Wa Mā Yudrīka La`alla As-Sā`ata Qarībun
42:17  Allah (is) the One Who (has) sent down the Book in truth, and the Balance. And what will make you know? Perhaps the Hour (is) near.
17. Allahul lazeee anzalal Kitaaba bilhaqqi wal Meezaan; wa ma yudreeka la’allas Saa’ata qareeb
18. يَسْتَعْجِلُ بِهَا الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهَا ۖ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مُشْفِقُونَ مِنْهَا وَيَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهَا الْحَقُّ ۗ أَلَا إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُمَارُونَ فِي السَّاعَةِ لَفِي ضَلَالٍ بَعِيدٍ
Yasta`jilu Bihā Al-Ladhīna Yu’uminūna Bihā Wa Al-Ladhīna ‘Āmanū Mushfiqūna Minhā Wa Ya`lamūna ‘Annahā Al-Ĥaqqu ‘Alā ‘Inna Al-Ladhīna Yumārūna  As-Sā`ati Lafī Đalālin Ba`īdin
42:18  Seek to hasten [of] it those who (do) not believe in it, and those who believe (are) fearful of it and know that it (is) the truth. Unquestionably, indeed, those who dispute concerning the Hour (are) certainly in error far.
18. Yasta’jilu bihal lazeena laa yu’minoona bihaa wallazeena aamanoo mushfiqoona minhaa wa ya’lamoona annahal haqq; alaaa innal lazeena yumaaroona fis Saa’ati lafee dalaalin ba’eed
19. اللَّهُ لَطِيفٌ بِعِبَادِهِ يَرْزُقُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۖ وَهُوَ الْقَوِيُّ الْعَزِيزُ
Al-Lahu Laţīfun Bi`ibādihi Yarzuqu Man Yashā’u Wa Huwa Al-Qawīyu Al-`Azīzu
42:19  Allah (is) Subtle with His slaves; He gives provision (to) whom He wills. And He (is) the All-Strong, the All-Mighty.
19. Allahu lateefum bi’ibaadihee yarzuqu mai yashaaa’u wa Huwal Qawiyyul ‘Azeez (Section 2)
20. مَنْ كَانَ يُرِيدُ حَرْثَ الْآخِرَةِ نَزِدْ لَهُ فِي حَرْثِهِ ۖ وَمَنْ كَانَ يُرِيدُ حَرْثَ الدُّنْيَا نُؤْتِهِ مِنْهَا وَمَا لَهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ مِنْ نَصِيبٍ
Man Kāna Yurīdu Ĥartha Al-‘Ākhirati Nazid Lahu Ĥarthihi Wa Man Kāna Yurīdu Ĥartha Ad-Dunyā Nu’utihi Minhā Wa Mā Lahu  Al-‘Ākhirati Min Naşībin
42:20  Whoever is desiring (the) harvest (of) the Hereafter We increase for him in his harvest. And whoever is desiring (the) harvest (of) the world, We give him of it, but not for him in the Hereafter any share.
20. Man kaana yureedu harsal Aakhirati nazid lahoo fee harsihee wa man kaana yureedu harsad dunyaa nu’tihee minhaa wa maa lahoo fil Aakhirati min naseeb
21. أَمْ لَهُمْ شُرَكَاءُ شَرَعُوا لَهُمْ مِنَ الدِّينِ مَا لَمْ يَأْذَنْ بِهِ اللَّهُ ۚ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةُ الْفَصْلِ لَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ ۗ وَإِنَّ الظَّالِمِينَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
Am Lahum Shurakā’u Shara`ū Lahum Mina Ad-Dīni Lam Ya’dhan Bihi Al-Lahu Wa Lawlā Kalimatu Al-Faşli Laquđiya Baynahum Wa ‘Inna Až-Žālimīna Lahum `Adhābun ‘Alīmun
42:21  Or for them (are) partners who haveordained for them of the religion what not has given permission of it Allah And if not (for) a word decisive, surely, it (would have) been judged between them. And indeed, the wrongdoers, for them (is a) punishment painful.
21. Am lahum shurakaaa’u shara’oo lahum minad deeni maa lam ya’zan bihil laah; wa law laa kalimatul fasli laqudiya bainahum; wa innaz zaalimeena lahum ‘azaabun aleem
22. تَرَى الظَّالِمِينَ مُشْفِقِينَ مِمَّا كَسَبُوا وَهُوَ وَاقِعٌ بِهِمْ ۗ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فِي رَوْضَاتِ الْجَنَّاتِ ۖ لَهُمْ مَا يَشَاءُونَ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ الْفَضْلُ الْكَبِيرُ
Tará Až-Žālimīna Mushfiqīna Mimmā Kasabū Wa Huwa Wāqi`un Bihim Wa Al-Ladhīna ‘Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Rawđāti Al-Jannāti Lahum  Yashā’ūna `Inda Rabbihim Dhālika Huwa Al-Fađlu Al-Kabīru
42:22  You will see the wrongdoers fearful of what they earned, and it (will) befall [on] them. And those who believe and do righteous deeds (will be) in flowering meadows (of) the Gardens, for them (is) whatever they wish with their Lord. That – it (is) the Bounty the Great.
22. Taraz zaalimeena mushfiqeena mimmaa kasaboo wa huwa waaqi’um bihim; wallazeena aamanoo wa ‘amilus saalihaati fee rawdaatil jannaati lahum maa yashaaa’oona ‘inda Rabbihim; zaalika huwal fadlul kabeer
23. ذَٰلِكَ الَّذِي يُبَشِّرُ اللَّهُ عِبَادَهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ ۗ قُلْ لَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا إِلَّا الْمَوَدَّةَ فِي الْقُرْبَىٰ ۗ وَمَنْ يَقْتَرِفْ حَسَنَةً نَزِدْ لَهُ فِيهَا حُسْنًا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ شَكُورٌ
Dhālika Al-Ladhī Yubashshiru Al-Lahu `Ibādahu Al-Ladhīna ‘Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Qul Lā ‘As’alukum `Alayhi ‘Ajrāan ‘Illā Al-Mawaddata Fī Al-Qurbá Wa Man Yaqtarif Ĥasanatan Nazid Lahu Fīhā Ĥusnāan ‘Inna Al-Laha Ghafūrun Shakūrun
42:23  That (is of) which gives glad tidings Allah (to) His slaves – those who believe and do righteous deeds. Say, “Not I ask you for it any payment except the love among the relatives.” And whoever earns any good, We increase for him therein good. Indeed, Allah (is) Oft-Forgiving, All-Appreciative.
23. Zaalikal lazee yubash shirul laahu ‘ibaadahul lazeena aamanoo wa ‘amilus saalihaat; qul laaa as’alukum ‘alaihi ajran illal mawaddata fil qurbaa; wa mai yaqtarif hasanatan nazid lahoo feehaa husnaa; innal laaha Ghafoorun Shakoor
24. أَمْ يَقُولُونَ افْتَرَىٰ عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا ۖ فَإِنْ يَشَإِ اللَّهُ يَخْتِمْ عَلَىٰ قَلْبِكَ ۗ وَيَمْحُ اللَّهُ الْبَاطِلَ وَيُحِقُّ الْحَقَّ بِكَلِمَاتِهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ
‘Am Yaqūlūna Aftará `Alá Al-Lahi Kadhibāan Fa’in Yasha’i Al-Lahu Yakhtim `Alá Qalbika Wa Yamĥu Al-Lahu Al-Bāţila Wa Yuĥiqqu Al-Ĥaqqa Bikalimātihi ‘Innahu `Alīmun Bidhāti Aş-Şudūri
42:24  Or (do) they say, “He has invented about Allah a lie?” But if willed Allah He would seal [over] your heart. And eliminates Allah the falsehood and establishes the truth by His Words. Indeed, He (is) All-Knowing of what (is in) the breasts.
24. Am yaqooloonaf tara ‘alal laahi kaziban fa-iny yasha’ illaahu yakhtim ‘alaa qalbik; wa yamhul laahul baatila wa yuhiqqul haqqa bi Kalimaatih; innahoo ‘Aleemun bizaatis sudoor
25. وَهُوَ الَّذِي يَقْبَلُ التَّوْبَةَ عَنْ عِبَادِهِ وَيَعْفُو عَنِ السَّيِّئَاتِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ
Wa Huwa Al-Ladhī Yaqbalu At-Tawbat `An `Ibādihi Wa Ya`fū `Ani As-Sayyi’āti Wa Ya`lamu Mā Taf`alūna
42:25  And He (is) the One Who accepts the repentance of His slaves and pardons [of] the evil, and He knows what you do.
25. Wa Huwal lazee yaqbalut tawbata ‘an ‘ibaadihee wa ya’foo ‘anis saiyiaati wa ya’lamu maa taf’aloon
26. وَيَسْتَجِيبُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَيَزِيدُهُمْ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ ۚ وَالْكَافِرُونَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ
Wa Yastajību Al-Ladhīna ‘Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Wa Yazīduhum Min Fađlihi Wa Al-Kāfirūna Lahum `Adhābun Shadīdun
42:26  And He answers those who believe and do righteous deeds and increases (for) them from His Bounty. And the disbelievers – for them (will be) a punishment severe.
26. Wa yastajeebul lazeena aamanoo wa ‘amilu saalihaati wa yazeeduhum min fadlih; wal kaafiroona lahum ‘azaabun shadeed
27. وَلَوْ بَسَطَ اللَّهُ الرِّزْقَ لِعِبَادِهِ لَبَغَوْا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَٰكِنْ يُنَزِّلُ بِقَدَرٍ مَا يَشَاءُ ۚ إِنَّهُ بِعِبَادِهِ خَبِيرٌ بَصِيرٌ
Wa Law Basaţa Al-Lahu Ar-Rizqa Li`ibādihi Labaghaw Fī Al-‘Arđi Wa Lakin Yunazzilu Biqadarin Mā Yashā’u ‘Innahu Bi`ibādihi Khabīrun Başīrun
42:27  And if extends Allah the provision for His slaves, surely they would rebel in the earth; but He sends down in (due) measure what He wills. Indeed, He of His slaves (is) All-Aware, All-Seer.
27. Wa law basatal laahur rizqa li’ibaadihee labaghaw fil ardi wa laakiny yunazzilu biqadarim maa yashaaa’; innahoo bi’ibaadihee Khabeerun Baseer
28. وَهُوَ الَّذِي يُنَزِّلُ الْغَيْثَ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا قَنَطُوا وَيَنْشُرُ رَحْمَتَهُ ۚ وَهُوَ الْوَلِيُّ الْحَمِيدُ
Wa Huwa Al-Ladhī Yunazzilu Al-Ghaytha Min Ba`di Mā Qanaţū Wa Yanshuru Raĥmatahu Wa Huwa Al-Walīyu Al-Ĥamīdu
42:28  And He (is) the One Who sends down the rain from after [what] they have despaired, and spreads His mercy. And He (is) the Protector, the Praiseworthy.
28. Wa Huwal lazee yunazzilul ghaisa min ba’di maa qanatoo wa yanshuru rahmatah; wa Huwal Waliyyul Hameed
29. وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ خَلْقُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَثَّ فِيهِمَا مِنْ دَابَّةٍ ۚ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ جَمْعِهِمْ إِذَا يَشَاءُ قَدِيرٌ
Wa Min ‘Āyātihi Khalqu As-Samāwāti Wa Al-‘Arđi Wa Mā Baththa Fīhimā Min Dābbatin Wa Huwa `Alá Jam`ihim ‘Idhā Yashā’u Qadīrun
42:29  And among His Signs (is the) creation (of) the heavens and the earth and whatever He has dispersed in both of them of (the) creatures. And He (is) over their gathering, when He wills, All-Powerful.
29. Wa min Aayaatihee khalqus samaawaati wal ardi wa maa bassa feehimaa min daaabbah; wa Huwa ‘alaa jam’ihim izaa yashaaa’u Qadeer (section 3)
30. وَمَا أَصَابَكُمْ مِنْ مُصِيبَةٍ فَبِمَا كَسَبَتْ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَيَعْفُو عَنْ كَثِيرٍ
Wa Mā ‘Aşābakum Min Muşībatin Fabimā Kasabat ‘Aydīkum Wa Ya`fū `An Kathīrin
42:30  And whatever befalls you of (the) misfortune, (is because) of what have earned your hands. But He pardons [from] much.
30. Wa maaa asaabakum min museebatin fabimaa kasabat aydeekum wa ya’foo ‘an kaseer
31. وَمَا أَنْتُمْ بِمُعْجِزِينَ فِي الْأَرْضِ ۖ وَمَا لَكُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مِنْ وَلِيٍّ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ
Wa Mā ‘Antum Bimu`jizīna Fī Al-‘Arđi Wa Mā Lakum Min Dūni Al-Lahi Min Wa Līyin Wa Lā Naşīrin
42:31  And not you (can) escape in the earth, and not for you from besides Allah any protector and not any helper.
31. Wa maaa antum bimu’jizeena fil ardi wa maa lakum min doonil laahi minw wa liyyinw wa laa naseer
32. وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ الْجَوَارِ فِي الْبَحْرِ كَالْأَعْلَامِ
Wa Min ‘Āyātihi Al-Jawāri Fī Al-Baĥri Kāl’a`lāmi
42:32  And among His Signs (are) the ships in the sea, like [the] mountains.
32. Wa min Aayaatihil ja waarifil bahri kal a’lam
33. إِنْ يَشَأْ يُسْكِنِ الرِّيحَ فَيَظْلَلْنَ رَوَاكِدَ عَلَىٰ ظَهْرِهِ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِكُلِّ صَبَّارٍ شَكُورٍ
‘In Yasha’ Yuskini Ar-Rīĥa Fayažlalna Rawākida `Alá Žahrihi ‘Inna Fī Dhālika La’āyātin Likulli Şabbārin Shakūrin
42:33  If He wills, He can cause to become still the wind then they would remain motionless on its back. Indeed, in that surely (are) Signs for everyone patient (and) grateful.
33. Iny yashaaa yuskinir reeha fa yazlalna rawaakida ‘alaa zahrihi; inna fee zaalika la Aayaatil likulli sabbaarin shakoor
34. أَوْ يُوبِقْهُنَّ بِمَا كَسَبُوا وَيَعْفُ عَنْ كَثِيرٍ
‘Aw Yūbiqhunna Bimā Kasabū Wa Ya`fu `An Kathīrin
42:34  Or He could destroy them for what they have earned; but He pardons [from] much.
34. Aw yoobiqhunna bimaa kasaboo wa ya’fu ‘an kaseer
35. وَيَعْلَمَ الَّذِينَ يُجَادِلُونَ فِي آيَاتِنَا مَا لَهُمْ مِنْ مَحِيصٍ
Wa Ya`lama Al-Ladhīna Yujādilūna Fī ‘Āyātinā Mā Lahum Min Maĥīşin
42:35  And may know those who dispute concerning Our Signs (that) not for them any place of refuge.
35. Wa ya’lamal lazeena yujaadiloona feee Aayaatinaa maa lahum min mahees
36. فَمَا أُوتِيتُمْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ فَمَتَاعُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ۖ وَمَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ
Famā ‘Ūtītum Min Shay’in Famatā`u Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Wa Mā `Inda Al-Lahi Khayrun Wa ‘Abqá Lilladhīna ‘Āmanū Wa `Alá Rabbihim Yatawakkalūna
42:36  So whatever you are given of a thing, (is) but a passing enjoyment (for) the life (of) the world. But what (is) with Allah (is) better and more lasting for those who believe and upon their Lord put (their) trust.
36. Famaa ooteetum min shai’in famataa’ul hayaatid dunyaa wa maa ‘indal laahi khairunw wa abqaa lillazeena aamanoo wa ‘alaa Rabbihim yatawakkaloon
37. وَالَّذِينَ يَجْتَنِبُونَ كَبَائِرَ الْإِثْمِ وَالْفَوَاحِشَ وَإِذَا مَا غَضِبُوا هُمْ يَغْفِرُونَ
Wa Al-Ladhīna Yajtanibūna Kabā’ira Al-‘Ithmi Wa Al-Fawāĥisha Wa ‘Idhā Mā Ghađibū Hum Yaghfirūna
42:37  And those who avoid (the) greater sins and the immoralities, and when that they are angry, they forgive,
37. Wallazeena yajtaniboona kabaaa’iral ismi wal fawaahisha wa izaa maa ghadiboo hum yaghfiroon
38. وَالَّذِينَ اسْتَجَابُوا لِرَبِّهِمْ وَأَقَامُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَأَمْرُهُمْ شُورَىٰ بَيْنَهُمْ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنْفِقُونَ
Wa Al-Ladhīna Astajābū Lirabbihim Wa ‘Aqāmū Aş-Şalāata Wa ‘Amruhum Shūrá Baynahum Wa Mimmā Razaqnāhum Yunfiqūna
42:38  And those who respond to their Lord and establish prayer and their affairs (are conducted by) consultation among them, and from what We have provided them they spend,
38. Wallazeenas tajaaboo li Rabbihim wa aqaamus Salaata wa amruhum shooraa bainahum wa mimmaa razaqnaahum yunfiqoon
39. وَالَّذِينَ إِذَا أَصَابَهُمُ الْبَغْيُ هُمْ يَنْتَصِرُونَ
Wa Al-Ladhīna ‘Idhā ‘Aşābahumu Al-Baghyu Hum Yantaşirūna
42:39  And those who, when strikes them tyranny, they defend themselves.
39. Wallazeena izaa asaabahumul baghyu hum yantasiroon
40. وَجَزَاءُ سَيِّئَةٍ سَيِّئَةٌ مِثْلُهَا ۖ فَمَنْ عَفَا وَأَصْلَحَ فَأَجْرُهُ عَلَى اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الظَّالِمِينَ
Wa Jazā’u Sayyi’atin Sayyi’atun Mithluhā Faman `Afā Wa ‘Aşlaĥa Fa’ajruhu `Alá Al-Lahi ‘Innahu Lā Yuĥibbu Až-Žālimīna
42:40  (The) recompense (of) an evil (is) an evil like it. But whoever pardons and makes reconciliation, then his reward (is) on Allah. Indeed, He (does) not like the wrongdoers.
40. Wa jazaaa’u saiyi’atin saiyi’atum misluha faman ‘afaa wa aslaha fa ajruhoo ‘alal laah; innahoo laa yuhibbuz zaalimeen
41. وَلَمَنِ انْتَصَرَ بَعْدَ ظُلْمِهِ فَأُولَٰئِكَ مَا عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْ سَبِيلٍ
Wa Lamani Antaşara Ba`da Žulmihi Fa’ūlā’ika Mā `Alayhim Min Sabīlin
42:41  And surely whosoever defends himself after he has been wronged, then those not (is) against them any way.
41. Wa lamanin tasara ba’da zulmihee fa ulaaa’ika maa ‘alaihim min sabeel
42. إِنَّمَا السَّبِيلُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ يَظْلِمُونَ النَّاسَ وَيَبْغُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
‘Innamā As-Sabīlu `Alá Al-Ladhīna Yažlimūna An-Nāsa Wa Yabghūna Fī Al-‘Arđi Bighayri Al-Ĥaqqi ‘Ūlā’ika Lahum `Adhābun ‘Alīmun
42:42  Only the way against those who oppress the people and rebel in the earth without right. Those for them (is) a punishment painful.
42. Innamas sabeelu ‘alal lazeena yazlimoonan naasa wa yabghoona fil ardi bighairil haqq; ulaaa’ika lahum ‘azaabun aleem
43. وَلَمَنْ صَبَرَ وَغَفَرَ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ لَمِنْ عَزْمِ الْأُمُورِ
Wa Laman Şabara Wa Ghafara ‘Inna Dhālika Lamin `Azmi Al-‘Umūri
42:43  And whoever (is) patient and forgives, indeed, that (is) surely of matters of determination.
43. Wa laman sabara wa ghafara inna zaalika lamin ‘azmil umoor (section 4)
44. وَمَنْ يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ وَلِيٍّ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ ۗ وَتَرَى الظَّالِمِينَ لَمَّا رَأَوُا الْعَذَابَ يَقُولُونَ هَلْ إِلَىٰ مَرَدٍّ مِنْ سَبِيلٍ
Wa Man Yuđlili Al-Lahu Famā Lahu Min Wa Līyin Min Ba`dihi Wa Tará Až-Žālimīna Lammā Ra’aw Al-`Adhāba Yaqūlūna Hal ‘Ilá Maraddin Min Sabīlin
42:44  And whoever lets go astray Allah then not for him any protector from after Him. And you will see the wrongdoers, when they see the punishment saying, “Is (there) for return any way?”
44. Wa mai yudli lillaahu famaa lahoo minw waliyyin min ba’dih; wa taraz zaalimeena lammaa ra awul ‘azaaba yaqooloona hal ilaa maraddin min sabeel
45. وَتَرَاهُمْ يُعْرَضُونَ عَلَيْهَا خَاشِعِينَ مِنَ الذُّلِّ يَنْظُرُونَ مِنْ طَرْفٍ خَفِيٍّ ۗ وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّ الْخَاسِرِينَ الَّذِينَ خَسِرُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ وَأَهْلِيهِمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ۗ أَلَا إِنَّ الظَّالِمِينَ فِي عَذَابٍ مُقِيمٍ
Wa Tarāhum Yu`rađūna `Alayhā Khāshi`īna Mina Adh-Dhulli Yanžurūna Min Ţarfin Khafīyin Wa Qāla Al-Ladhīna ‘Āmanū ‘Inna Al-Khāsirīna Al-Ladhīna Khasirū ‘Anfusahum Wa ‘Ahlīhim Yawma Al-Qiyāmati ‘Alā ‘Inna Až-Žālimīna Fī `Adhābin Muqīmin
42:45  And you will see them being exposed to it, humbled by disgrace, looking with a glance stealthy. And will say those who believed, “Indeed, the losers (are) those who lost themselves and their families (on the) Day (of) the Resurrection. Unquestionably! Indeed, the wrongdoers (are) in a punishment lasting.
45. Wa taraahum yu’radoona ‘alaihaa khaashi’eena minazzulli yanzuroona min tarfin khafiyy; wa qaalal lazeena aamanooo innal khaasireenal lazeena khasirooo anfusahum wa ahleehim Yawmal Qiyaamah; alaaa innaz zaalimeena fee ‘azaabin muqeem
46. وَمَا كَانَ لَهُمْ مِنْ أَوْلِيَاءَ يَنْصُرُونَهُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ ۗ وَمَنْ يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ سَبِيلٍ
Wa Mā Kāna Lahum Min ‘Awliyā’a Yanşurūnahum Min Dūni Al-Lahi Wa Man Yuđlili Al-Lahu Famā Lahu Min Sabīlin
42:46  And not will be for them any protector (who) will help them from besides Allah. And whom lets go astray Allah then not for him any way.
46. Wa maa kaana lahum min awliyaaa’a yansuroonahum min doonil laah; wa mai yudlilil laahu famaa lahoo min sabeel
47. اسْتَجِيبُوا لِرَبِّكُمْ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ يَوْمٌ لَا مَرَدَّ لَهُ مِنَ اللَّهِ ۚ مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ مَلْجَإٍ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَمَا لَكُمْ مِنْ نَكِيرٍ
Astajībū Lirabbikum Min Qabli ‘An Ya’tiya Yawmun Lā Maradda Lahu Mina Al-Lahi Mā Lakum Min Malja’iin Yawma’idhin Wa Mā Lakum Min Nakīrin
42:47  Respond to your Lord from before [that] comes a Day (there is) no averting for it from Allah. Not (is) for you any refuge (on) that Day and not for you any denial.
47. Istajeeboo li Rabbikum min qabli any yaatiya Yawmul laa maradda lahoo min Allah; maa lakum min malja’ iny yawma’izinw wa maa lakum min nakeer
48. فَإِنْ أَعْرَضُوا فَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَفِيظًا ۖ إِنْ عَلَيْكَ إِلَّا الْبَلَاغُ ۗ وَإِنَّا إِذَا أَذَقْنَا الْإِنْسَانَ مِنَّا رَحْمَةً فَرِحَ بِهَا ۖ وَإِنْ تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ فَإِنَّ الْإِنْسَانَ كَفُورٌ
Fa’in ‘A`rađū Famā ‘Arsalnāka `Alayhim Ĥafīžāan ‘In `Alayka ‘Illā Al-Balāghu Wa ‘Innā ‘Idhā ‘Adhaqnā Al-‘Insāna Minnā Raĥmatan Fariĥa Bihā Wa ‘In Tuşibhum Sayyi’atun Bimā Qaddamat ‘Aydīhim Fa’inna Al-‘Insāna Kafūrun
42:48  Then if they turn away, then not We have sent you over them (as) a guardian. Not (is) on you except the conveyance. And indeed, when We cause to taste [the] man from Us Mercy, he rejoices in it. But if befalls them evil, for what have sent forth their hands then indeed, [the] man (is) ungrateful.
48. Fa-in a’radoo famaaa arsalnaaka ‘alaihim hafeezan in ‘alaika illal balaagh; wa innaaa izaaa azaqnal insaana minnaa rahmatan fariha bihaa wa in tusibhum saiyi’atun bimaa qaddamat aydeehim fa innal insaana kafoor
49. لِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَاءُ ۚ يَهَبُ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ إِنَاثًا وَيَهَبُ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ الذُّكُورَ
Lillahi Mulku As-Samāwāti Wa Al-‘Arđi Yakhluqu Mā Yashā’u Yahabu Liman Yashā’u ‘Ināthāan Wa Yahabu Liman Yashā’u Adh-Dhukūra
42:49  To Allah (belongs the) dominion (of) the heavens and the earth. He creates what He wills. He grants to whom He wills females, and He grants to whom He wills [the] males.
49. Lillaahi mulkus samaawaati wal ard; yakhluqu maa yashaaa’; yahabu limai yashaaa’u inaasanw wa yahabu limai yashaaa’uz zukoor
50. أَوْ يُزَوِّجُهُمْ ذُكْرَانًا وَإِنَاثًا ۖ وَيَجْعَلُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ عَقِيمًا ۚ إِنَّهُ عَلِيمٌ قَدِيرٌ
‘Aw Yuzawwijuhum Dhukrānāan Wa ‘Ināthāan Wa Yaj`alu Man Yashā’u `Aqīmāan ‘Innahu `Alīmun Qadīrun
42:50  Or He grants them males and females; and He makes whom He wills barren. Indeed, He (is) All-Knower, All-Powerful.
50. Aw yuzawwijuhum zukraananw wa inaasanw wa yaj’alu mai yashaaa’u ‘aqeemaa; innahoo ‘Aleemun Qadeer
51. وَمَا كَانَ لِبَشَرٍ أَنْ يُكَلِّمَهُ اللَّهُ إِلَّا وَحْيًا أَوْ مِنْ وَرَاءِ حِجَابٍ أَوْ يُرْسِلَ رَسُولًا فَيُوحِيَ بِإِذْنِهِ مَا يَشَاءُ ۚ إِنَّهُ عَلِيٌّ حَكِيمٌ
Wa Mā Kāna Libasharin ‘An Yukallimahu Al-Lahu ‘Illā Waĥyāan ‘Aw Min Warā’i Ĥijābin ‘Aw Yursila Rasūlāan Fayūĥiya Bi’idhnihi Mā Yashā’u ‘Innahu `Alīyun Ĥakīmun
42:51  And not is for any human that should speak to him Allah except (by) revelation or from behind a veil or (by) sending a messenger then he reveals by His permission what He wills. Indeed, He (is) Most High, Most Wise.
51. Wa maa kaana libasharin any yukallimahul laahu illaa wahyan aw minw waraaa’i hijaabin aw yursila Rasoolan fa yoohiya bi iznihee maa yashaaa’; innahoo ‘Aliyyun Hakeem
52. وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ رُوحًا مِنْ أَمْرِنَا ۚ مَا كُنْتَ تَدْرِي مَا الْكِتَابُ وَلَا الْإِيمَانُ وَلَٰكِنْ جَعَلْنَاهُ نُورًا نَهْدِي بِهِ مَنْ نَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ۚ وَإِنَّكَ لَتَهْدِي إِلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ
Wa Kadhalika ‘Awĥaynā ‘Ilayka Rūĥāan Min ‘Amrinā Mā Kunta Tadrī Mā Al-Kitābu Wa Lā Al-‘Īmānu Wa Lakin Ja`alnāhu Nūrāan Nahdī Bihi Man Nashā’u Min `Ibādinā Wa ‘Innaka Latahdī ‘Ilá Şirāţin Mustaqīmin
42:52  And thus We have revealed to you an inspiration by Our Command. Not (did) you know what the Book (is) and not the faith. But We have made it a light, We guide with it whom We will of Our slaves. And indeed, you surely guide to (the) Path Straight,
52. Wa kazaalika awhainaaa ilaika roohan min amrinaa; maa kunta tadree mal Kitaabu wa lal eemaanu wa laakin ja’alnaahu nooran nahdee bihee man nashaaa’u min ‘ibaadinaa; wa innaka latahdeee ilaaa Siraatin Mustaqeem
53. صِرَاطِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۗ أَلَا إِلَى اللَّهِ تَصِيرُ الْأُمُورُ
Şirāţi Al-Lahi Al-Ladhī Lahu Mā Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Mā Fī Al-‘Arđi ‘Alā ‘Ilá Al-Lahi Taşīru Al-‘Umūru
42:53  (The) path (of) Allah, the One to Whom (belongs) whatever (is) in the heavens and whatever (is) in the earth. Unquestionably! To Allah reach all affairs.
