PART 1 1 TO 60

5:1  ‏يَٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَوْفُوا۟ بِٱلْعُقُودِ ۚ أُحِلَّتْ لَكُم بَهِيمَةُ ٱلْأَنْعَمِ إِلَّا مَا يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ غَيْرَ مُحِلِّى ٱلصَّيْدِ وَأَنتُمْ حُرُمٌ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَحْكُمُ مَا يُرِيدُ
Yā ‘Ayyuhā Al-LadhīnaĀmanū ‘Awfū Bil-`Uqūdi ۚ ‘Uĥillat Lakum Bahīmatu Al-‘An`āmi ‘Illā Yutlá `Alaykum Ghayra Muĥillī Aş-Şaydi Wa ‘Antum Ĥurumun ۗ ‘Inna Allāha Yaĥkumu Yurīdu (Al-Mā’idah: 1).

5:1  O you who believe! Fulfil the contracts. The grazing livestock animals are made lawful for you except what is recited/announced/mentioned to you, hunting not being permitted while you are in pilgrimage. Indeed, Allah decrees what He wills.

You are not allowed to hunt while you are on pilgrimage.

5:1  O you who believe! Fulfil the contracts. Are made lawful for you the animals (of) the grazing livestock except what is recited on you, not being permitted (to) hunt while you (are in) Ihram. Indeed, Allah decrees what He wills.
1. Yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanoo awfoo bil’uqood; uhillat lakum baheematul an’aami illaa maa yutlaa ‘alaikum ghaira muhillis saidi wa antum hurum; innal laaha yahkumu maa yureed
5:2  ‏يَٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تُحِلُّوا۟ شَعَٓئِرَ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا ٱلشَّهْرَ ٱلْحَرَامَ وَلَا ٱلْهَدْىَ وَلَا ٱلْقَلَٓئِدَ وَلَآ ءَآمِّينَ ٱلْبَيْتَ ٱلْحَرَامَ يَبْتَغُونَ فَضْلًۭا مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَرِضْوَنًۭا ۚ وَإِذَا حَلَلْتُمْ فَٱصْطَادُوا۟ ۚ وَلَا يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَـَٔانُ قَوْمٍ أَن صَدُّوكُمْ عَنِ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ أَن تَعْتَدُوا۟ ۘ وَتَعَاوَنُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلْبِرِّ وَٱلتَّقْوَىٰ ۖ وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلْإِثْمِ وَٱلْعُدْوَنِ ۚ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ
Yā ‘Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna ‘Āmanū Tuĥillū Sha`ā’ira Allāhi Wa Lā Ash-Shahra Al-Ĥarāma Wa Lā Al-Hadya Wa Lā Al-Qalā’ida Wa Lā ‘Āmmīna Al-Bayta Al-Ĥarāma Yabtaghūna Fađlāan Min Rabbihim Wa Riđwānāan ۚ Wa ‘Idhā Ĥalaltum Fāşţādū ۚ Wa Lā Yajrimannakum Shana’ānu QawminAn Şaddūkum `Ani Al-Masjidi Al-Ĥarāmi ‘An Ta`tadū ۘ Wa Ta`āwanū `Alá Al-Birri Wa At-Taqwá ۖ Wa Lā Ta`āwanū `Alá Al-‘Ithmi Wa Al-`Udwāni ۚ Wa Attaqū Allaha ۖ ‘Inna Allāha Shadīdu Al-`Iqābi (Al-Mā’idah: 2).

5:2  O you who believe! Do not violate the ˹holiness of the sacred˺ Symbols of Allah, and nor ˹the holiness of˺ the sacred month and nor of the sacrificial animals and nor of the garlanded ˹offerings˺ and nor of those ˹pilgrims˺ coming to the Sacred House seeking Bounty and good pleasure of their Lord. And when you come out of Ihram/pilgrimage then you may hunt. And do not let the hatred of a people incite/provoke you as they stopped you from Al-Masjid Al-Haraam that you commit transgression. And help one another in righteousness and piety/goodness, but do not help one another in sin and transgression. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is severe in punishment.

And do not let the hatred of a people that stopped you from Al-Masjid Al-Haraam incite/provoke you so that you commit transgression.

5:2  O you who believe! (Do) not violate (the) rites (of) Allah, and not the month sacred and not the sacrificial animals and not the garlanded and not (those) coming (to) the House Sacred seeking Bounty of their Lord and good pleasure. And when you come out of Ihram then (you may) hunt. And not let incite you (the) hatred (for) a people as they stopped you from Al-Masjid Al-Haraam that you commit transgression. And help one another in [the] righteousness and [the] piety, but (do) not help one another in [the] sin and [the] transgression. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah (is) severe (in) [the] punishment.
2. Yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanoo laa tuhilloo sha’aaa ‘iral laahi wa lash Shahral Haraama wa lal hadya wa lal qalaaa’ida wa laa aaammeenal Baital Haraama yabtaghoona fadlam mir Rabbihim wa ridwaanaa; wa izaa halaltum fastaadoo; wa laa yajrimannakum shana aanu qawmin an saddookum ‘anil Masjidil-Haraami an ta’tadoo; wa ta’aawanoo ‘alalbirri wattaqwaa; wa laa ta’aawanoo ‘alal ismi wal’udwaan; wattaqul laah; innal laaha shadeedul ‘iqaab
5:3  ‏حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْمَيْتَةُ وَٱلدَّمُ وَلَحْمُ ٱلْخِنزِيرِ وَمَآ أُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ ٱللَّهِ بِهِۦ وَٱلْمُنْخَنِقَةُ وَٱلْمَوْقُوذَةُ وَٱلْمُتَرَدِّيَةُ وَٱلنَّطِيحَةُ وَمَآ أَكَلَ ٱلسَّبُعُ إِلَّا مَا ذَكَّيْتُمْ وَمَا ذُبِحَ عَلَى ٱلنُّصُبِ وَأَن تَسْتَقْسِمُوا۟ بِٱلْأَزْلَمِ ۚ ذَلِكُمْ فِسْقٌ ۗ ٱلْيَوْمَ يَئِسَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن دِينِكُمْ فَلَا تَخْشَوْهُمْ وَٱخْشَوْنِ ۚ ٱلْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِى وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ ٱلْإِسْلَمَ دِينًۭا ۚ فَمَنِ ٱضْطُرَّ فِى مَخْمَصَةٍ غَيْرَ مُتَجَانِفٍۢ لِّإِثْمٍۢ ۙ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ
Ĥurrimat `Alaykumu Al-Maytatu Wa Ad-Damu Wa Laĥmu Al-Khinzīri Wa Mā ‘Uhilla Lighayri Allāhi Bihi Wa Al-Munkhaniqatu Wa Al-Mawqūdhatu Wa Al-Mutaraddiyatu Wa An-Naţīĥatu Wa Mā ‘Akala As-Sabu`u ‘Illā  Dhakkaytum Wa Mā Dhubiĥa `Alá An-Nuşubi Wa ‘An ۚ Tastaqsimū Bil-‘Azlāmi ۗ Dhalikum Fisqun Al-Yawma Ya’isa Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Min Dīnikum Falā ۚ Takhshawhum Wa Akhshawnī Al-Yawma ‘Akmaltu Lakum Dīnakum Wa ‘Atmamtu `Alaykum Ni`matī Wa Rađītu ۚ Lakumu Al-‘Islāma Dīnāan Famani Ađţurra  Makhmaşatin ۙ Ghayra Mutajānifin L’ithmin Fa’inna Allāha Ghafūrun Raĥīmun (Al-Mā’idah: 3).

5:3  Forbidden to you are the dead animals, and the blood, and flesh of the swine, and on it (i.e., animals) that which/what has been dedicated/slaughtered in any name other than Allah, and that ˹animal˺ which is killed by strangling, and that which is hit fatally, and that which has a fatal fall, and that which is gored by horns to death, and that which the wild animal ate except what you ˹are able to˺ slaughter ˹before its death˺, and that which is sacrificed on the stone altars, and ˹forbidden is˺ that you seek division by divining arrows (i.e., drawing lots)that is grave disobedience. This day/Today those who disbelieved have despaired/given up all hopes of ˹undermining˺ your religion, so do not fear them, but fear Me. This day/Today I have perfected your religion for you and I have completed My Favor upon you and I have approved/chosen for you Islam as a religion. But whoever is forced by hunger and not inclining/intending to sin, then indeed, Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

This day (have) despaired those who disbelieved of your religion, so (do) not fear them, but fear Me. This day I have perfected for you your religion and I have completed upon you My Favor and I have approved for you [the] Islam (as) a religion. But whoever (is) forced by hunger (and) not inclining to sin, then indeed, Allah (is) Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
3. Hurrimat ‘alaikumul maitatu waddamu wa lahmul khinzeeri wa maaa uhilla lighiril laahi bihee walmun khani qatu wal mawqoozatu wal mutarad diyatu wanna teehatu wa maaa akalas sabu’u illaa maa zakkaitum wa maa zubiha ‘alan nusubi wa an tastaqsimoo bil azlaam; zaalikum fisq; alyawma ya’isal lazeena kafaroo min deenikum falaa takhshawhum wakh shawn; alyawma akmaltu lakum deenakum wa atmamtu ‘alaikum ni’matee wa radeetu lakumul Islaama deenaa; famanidturra fee makhmasatin ghaira mutajaanifil li ismin fa innallaaha Ghafoorur Raheem
5:4  ‏يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ مَاذَآ أُحِلَّ لَهُمْ ۖ قُلْ أُحِلَّ لَكُمُ ٱلطَّيِّبَتُ ۙ وَمَا عَلَّمْتُم مِّنَ ٱلْجَوَارِحِ مُكَلِّبِينَ تُعَلِّمُونَهُنَّ مِمَّا عَلَّمَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ ۖ فَكُلُوا۟ مِمَّآ أَمْسَكْنَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَٱذْكُرُوا۟ ٱسْمَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ ۖ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَرِيعُ ٱلْحِسَابِ
Yas’alūnaka Mādhā ‘Uĥilla Lahum ۖ Qul Uĥilla Lakumu Aţ-Ţayyibātu ۙ Wa Mā `Allamtum Mina Al-Jawāriĥi Mukallibīna Tu`allimūnahunna Mimmā `Allamakumu Allāhu ۖ Fakulū Mimmā ‘Amsakna `Alaykum Wa Adhkurū Asma Allāhi ۖ `Alayhi Wa Attaqū ۚ Allaha ‘Inna Allāha Sarī`u Al-Ĥisābi (Al-Mā’idah: 4).
5:4  They ask you, ˹O Prophet,˺ what is made lawful/permissible for them ˹to eat˺. Say,The good things are made lawful for you and ˹this includes˺ what you have taught of your hunting animals, ones who train animals to hunt/training them to hunt, you teach them of what Allah has taught you. So eat of what they catch for you, but mention the Name of Allah over it ˹first˺” and fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is swift in taking account.

5:4  They ask you what (is) made lawful for them. Say,Are made lawful for you the good things and what you have taught of (your) hunting animals, ones who train animals to hunt, you teach them of what has taught you Allah. So eat of what they catch for you, but mention (the) name (of) Allah on it, and fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is swift (in taking) account.
4. Yas’aloonaka maazaaa uhilla lahum; qul uhilla lakumuttaiyibaatu wa maa’allamtum minal jawaarihi mukallibeena tu’allimoonahunnamimmaa ‘allamakumul laahu fakuloo mimmaaa amsakna ‘alaikum wazkurus mal laahi ‘alaih; wattaqul laah; innal laaha saree’ul hisaab
5:5  ‏ٱلْيَوْمَ أُحِلَّ لَكُمُ ٱلطَّيِّبَتُ ۖ وَطَعَامُ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَبَ حِلٌّۭ لَّكُمْ وَطَعَامُكُمْ حِلٌّۭ لَّهُمْ ۖ وَٱلْمُحْصَنَتُ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنَتِ وَٱلْمُحْصَنَتُ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَبَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ إِذَآ ءَاتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ مُحْصِنِينَ غَيْرَ مُسَفِحِينَ وَلَا مُتَّخِذِىٓ أَخْدَانٍۢ ۗ وَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِٱلْإِيمَنِ فَقَدْ حَبِطَ عَمَلُهُۥ وَهُوَ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ مِنَ ٱلْخَسِرِينَ
Al-YawmaUĥilla Lakumu Aţ-Ţayyibātu ۖ Wa Ţa`āmu Al-LadhīnaŪtū Al-Kitāba Ĥillun Lakum Wa Ţa`āmukum Ĥillun Lahum ۖ Wa Al-Muĥşanātu Mina Al-Mu’umināti Wa Al-Muĥşanātu Mina Al-Ladhīna ‘Ūtū Al-Kitāba Min Qablikum ‘Idhā ‘Ātaytumūhunna ‘Ujūrahunna Muĥşinīna Ghayra Musāfiĥīna Wa Lā Muttakhidhī ‘Akhdānin ۗ Wa Man Yakfur Bil-‘Īmāni Faqad Ĥabiţa `Amaluhu Wa Huwa Al-‘Ākhirati Mina Al-Khāsirīna (Al-Mā’idah: 5).

5:5  This day/Today ˹all˺ the good things are made lawful for you; and the food of those who were given the Book is lawful for you, and your food is lawful for them. And ˹permissible for you in marriage are˺ the chaste women from the believers and the chaste women from those who were given the Book from before you, when you have given them their bridal due, desiring chaste (i.e., taking them in marriage) not fornicating and nor taking them as secret lovers. And whoever denies the faiththen surely his deeds are wasted and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers.

5:5  This day are made lawful for you the good things; and (the) food (of) those who were given the Book (is) lawful for you, and your food (is) lawful for them. And the chaste women from the believers and the chaste women from those who were given the Book from before you, when you have given them their bridal due, being chaste not being lewd and not ones (who are) taking secret lovers. And whoever denies the faiththen surely (are) wasted his deeds and he, in the Hereafter, (will be) among the losers.
5. Alyawma uhilla lakumut taiyibaatu wa ta’aamul lazeena ootul Kitaaba hillul lakum wa ta’aamukum hillul lahum wal muhsanaatu minal mu’minaati walmuhsanaatu minal lazeena ootul Kitaaba min qablikum izaaa aataitumoohunna ujoorahunna muhsineena ghaira musaafiheena wa laa muttakhizeee akhdaan; wa mai yakfur bil eemaani faqad habita ‘amaluhoo wa huwa fil Aaakhirati minal khaasireen (section 1)
5:6  ‏يَٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِذَا قُمْتُمْ إِلَى ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ فَٱغْسِلُوا۟ وُجُوهَكُمْ وَأَيْدِيَكُمْ إِلَى ٱلْمَرَافِقِ وَٱمْسَحُوا۟ بِرُءُوسِكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ إِلَى ٱلْكَعْبَيْنِ ۚ وَإِن كُنتُمْ جُنُبًۭا فَٱطَّهَّرُوا۟ ۚ وَإِن كُنتُم مَّرْضَىٰٓ أَوْ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍ أَوْ جَآءَ أَحَدٌۭ مِّنكُم مِّنَ ٱلْغَآئِطِ أَوْ لَمَسْتُمُ ٱلنِّسَآءَ فَلَمْ تَجِدُوا۟ مَآءًۭ فَتَيَمَّمُوا۟ صَعِيدًۭا طَيِّبًۭا فَٱمْسَحُوا۟ بِوُجُوهِكُمْ وَأَيْدِيكُم مِّنْهُ ۚ مَا يُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ لِيَجْعَلَ عَلَيْكُم مِّنْ حَرَجٍۢ وَلَكِن يُرِيدُ لِيُطَهِّرَكُمْ وَلِيُتِمَّ نِعْمَتَهُۥ عَلَيْكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
Yā ‘Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna ‘Āmanū ‘Idhā Qumtum ‘Ilá Aş-Şalāati Fāghsilū Wujūhakum Wa ‘Aydiyakum ‘Ilá Al-Marāfiqi Wa Amsaĥū Biru’ūsikum Wa ‘Arjulakum ‘Ilá Al-Ka`bayni ۚ Wa ‘In Kuntum Junubāan Fa Aţţahharū ۚ Wa ‘In Kuntum Marđá ‘Aw `Alá Safarin ‘Aw Jā’a ‘Aĥadun Minkum Mina Al-Ghā’iţi ‘Aw Lāmastumu An-Nisā’ Falam Tajidū Mā’an Fatayammamū Şa`īdāan Ţayyibāan Fāmsaĥū Biwujūhikum Wa ‘Aydīkum Minhu ۚ  Yurīdu Allāhu Liyaj`ala `Alaykum Min Ĥarajin Wa Lakin Yurīdu Liyutahhirakum Waliyutimma Ni`matahu `Alaykum La`allakum Tashkurūna (Al-Mā’idah: 6).

5:6  O you who believe! When you stand up for the prayer, then wash your faces and your hands till/up to the elbows and wipe your heads and wash your feet till/up to the ankles. But if you are in a state of impurity (i.e., had a sexual discharge) then purify yourselves (i.e., take a full bath). But if you are ill or on a journey or anyone of you has come from the toilet or has had contact with the women and you do not find water, then seek/look for clean earth, then wipe your faces and your hands with it. Allah does Not intend to make any difficulty for you, but He intends to purify you and to complete His Favor upon you so that you may be grateful.

5:6  O you who believe! When you stand up for the prayer, then wash your faces and your hands till the elbows and wipe your heads and your feet till the ankles. But if you are (in) a state of ceremonial impurity then purify yourselves. But if you are ill or on a journey or has come anyone of you from the toilet or has (had) contact (with) the women and not you find water, then do (with) earth clean, then wipe your faces and your hands with it. Does Not intend Allah to make for you any difficulty but He intends to purify you and to complete His Favor upon you so that you may (be) grateful.
6. Yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanoo izaa qumtum ilas Salaati faghsiloo wujoohakum wa Aidiyakum ilal maraafiqi wamsahoo biru’oosikum wa arjulakum ilal ka’bayn; wa in kuntum junuban fattahharoo; wain kuntum mardaaa aw’alaa safarin aw jaaa’a ahadum minkum minal ghaaa’iti aw laamastumunnisaaa’a falam tajidoo maaa’an fatayammamoo sa’eedan taiyiban famsahoo biwujoohikum wa aideekum minh; ma yureedul laahu liyaj’ala ‘alaikum min harajinw walaakiny yureedu liyutahhirakum wa liyutimma ni’matahoo ‘alaikum la’allakum tashkuroon
5:7  ‏وَٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَةَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَمِيثَقَهُ ٱلَّذِى وَاثَقَكُم بِهِۦٓ إِذْ قُلْتُمْ سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا ۖ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمٌۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ
Wa Adhkurū Ni`mata Allāhi `Alaykum Wa Mīthāqahu Al-Ladhī Wa Athaqakum Bihi Idh Qultum Sami`nā ۖ Wa ‘Aţa`nā Wa Attaqū ۚ Allaha ‘Inna Allāha `Alīmun Bidhāti Aş-Şudūri (Al-Mā’idah: 7).
5:7  And remember the Favor of Allah upon you and His covenant which He bound/tied you with it, when you said,We heard and we obeyed;” and fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is All-Knower of what is ˹hidden˺ in the chest.
7. Wazkuroo ni’matal laahi ‘alaikum wa meesaaqahul lazee waasaqakum biheee iz qultum sami’naa wa ata’naa wattaqul laah; innal laaha ‘aleemum bizaatis sudoor
5:8  ‏يَٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ كُونُوا۟ قَوَّمِينَ لِلَّهِ شُهَدَآءَ بِٱلْقِسْطِ ۖ وَلَا يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَـَٔانُ قَوْمٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَلَّا تَعْدِلُوا۟ ۚ ٱعْدِلُوا۟ هُوَ أَقْرَبُ لِلتَّقْوَىٰ ۖ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ خَبِيرٌۢ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
Yā ‘Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna ‘Āmanū Kūnū Qawwāmīna Lillāh Shuhadā’a Bil-Qisţi ۖ Wa Lā Yajrimannakum Shana’ānu Qawmin `Alá ‘Allā Ta`dilū ۚ A`dilū Huwa ‘Aqrabu Lilttaqwá ۖ Wa Attaqū Allaha ۚ ‘Inna Allāha Khabīrun Bimā Ta`malūna (Al-Mā’idah: 8).
5:8  O you who believe! Be steadfast/dutifully firm for Allah as witnesses in justice, and do not let the hatred of a people lead on/upon/over you on/upon/over that you may not do justice. Be just, it is nearer to the piety/righteousness. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is All-Aware of what you do.

5:8  O you who believe! Be steadfast/dutifully firm for Allah as witnesses in justice, and do not let prevent you hatred(of) a people [upon] that not you do justice. Be just it (is) nearer to [the] piety. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah (is) All-Aware of what you do.
8. Yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamaanoo koonoo qawwaa meena lillaahi shuhadaaa’a bilqist, wa laa yajrimannakum shana aanu qawmin ‘alaaa allaa ta’diloo; i’diloo; huwa aqrabu littaqwaa wattaqul laah; innal laaha khabeerum bimaa ta’maloon
5:9  ‏وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّلِحَتِ ۙ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌۭ وَأَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌۭ
Wa`ada Allāhu Al-Ladhīna ‘Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti ۙ Lahum Maghfiratun Wa ‘Ajrun `Ažīmun (Al-Mā’idah: 9).
5:9  Allah has promised those who believe and do the righteous deeds – that for them is forgiveness and a great reward.
9. Wa’adal laahul lazeena aamanoo wa ‘amilus saalihaati lahum maghfiratunw wa ajrun ‘azeem
5:10  ‏وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَتِنَآ أُو۟لَٓئِكَ أَصْحَبُ ٱلْجَحِيمِ
Wa Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Wa Kadhdhabū Bi’āyātinā ‘Ūlā’ikaAşĥābu Al-Jaĥīmi (Al-Mā’idah: 10).
5:10  And those who disbelieve and deny Our Signs those are the companions of the Hellfire.
10. Wallazeena kafaroo wa kazzaboo bi Aayaatinaaa ulaaa’ika Ashaabul Jaheem
5:11  ‏يَٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ هَمَّ قَوْمٌ أَن يَبْسُطُوٓا۟ إِلَيْكُمْ أَيْدِيَهُمْ فَكَفَّ أَيْدِيَهُمْ عَنكُمْ ۖ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ۚ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ
Yā ‘Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna ‘Āmanū Adhkurū Ni`mata Allāhi `Alaykum ‘Idh Hamma Qawmun An Yabsuţū ‘Ilaykum ‘Aydiyahum Fakaffa ‘Aydiyahum `Ankum ۖ Wa Attaqū Allaha ۚ Wa `Alá Allāhi Falyatawakkali Al-Mu’uminūna (Al-Mā’idah: 11).
5:11  O you who believe! Remember the Favor of Allah upon you when a people determined/sought/desired that they stretch/raise their hands towards you, but He Allah restrained/withheld/held their hands back from you. And fear Allah. And upon/on Allah so let the believers put the trust.

5:11  O you who believe! Remember (the) Favor (of) Allah upon you when determined a people that they stretch towards you their hands, but He restrained their hands from you. And fear Allah. And upon Allah so let put the trust the believers.
11. Yaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanuz kuroo ni’matallaahi ‘alaikum iz hamma qawmun ai yabsutooo ilaikum aidiyahum fakaffa aidiyahum ‘ankum wattaqullaah; wa’alal laahi fal yatawakalil mu’minoon (section 2)
5:12  ‏ وَلَقَدْ أَخَذَ ٱللَّهُ مِيثَقَ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٓءِيلَ وَبَعَثْنَا مِنْهُمُ ٱثْنَىْ عَشَرَ نَقِيبًۭا ۖ وَقَالَ ٱللَّهُ إِنِّى مَعَكُمْ ۖ لَىِٕنْ أَقَمْتُمُ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَيْتُمُ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَءَامَنتُم بِرُسُلِى وَعَزَّرْتُمُوهُمْ وَأَقْرَضْتُمُ ٱللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًۭا لَّأُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنكُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِكُمْ وَلَأُدْخِلَنَّكُمْ جَنَّتٍۢ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَرُ ۚ فَمَن كَفَرَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ مِنكُمْ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ سَوَآءَ ٱلسَّبِيلِ
Wa Laqad ‘Akhadha Allāhu Mīthāqa Banī ‘Isrā’īla Wa Ba`athnā Minhumu Athnay `Ashara Naqībāan ۖ Wa Qāla Allāhu ‘Innī Ma`akum ۖ La’in ‘Aqamtumu Aş-Şalāata Wa ‘Ātaytumu Az-Zakāata Wa ‘Āmantum Birusulī Wa `Azzartumūhum Wa ‘Aqrađtumu Allāha Qarđāan Ĥasanāan La’ukaffiranna `Ankum Sayyi’ātikum Wa La’udkhilannakum Jannātin Tajrī Min Taĥtihā Al-‘Anhāru ۚ Faman Kafara Ba`da Dhālika Minkum Faqad Đalla Sawā’a As-Sabīli (Al-Mā’idah: 12).
5:12  And certainly Allah took/made a Covenant from/with the Children of Israel and We appointed twelve leaders from among them. And Allah said, Indeed, I am with you, if you establish the prayer and give the zakah and you believe in My Messengers and you assist them and you loan to Allah a good loan, surely I will remove from you your evil deeds and I will surely admit you to gardens from underneath them/which the rivers flow. But whoever among you disbelieved after that, then he has certainly/truly strayed from the Right Way.

5:12  And certainly took Allah a Covenant (from the) Children (of) Israel and We appointed among them two (and) ten (i.e twelve) leaders. And said Allah, “Indeed, I (am) with you, if you establish the prayer and give the zakah and you believe in My Messengers and you assist them and you loan (to) Allah a loan goodly, surely I will remove from you your evil deeds and I will surely admit you (to) gardens flow from underneath them the rivers. But whoever disbelieved after that among you, then certainly he strayed (from) the way, the right.
12. Wa laqad akhazal laahu meesaaqa Banee Israaa’eela wa ba’asnaa minhumus nai ‘ashara naqeebanw wa qaalal laahu innee ma’akum la’in aqamtumus Salaata wa aataitumuz Zakaata wa aamantum bi Rusulee wa’azzartumoohum wa aqradtumul laaha qardan hasanal la ukaffiranna ‘ankum saiyiaatikum wa la udkhilan nakum Jannaatin tajree min tahtihal anhaar; faman kafara ba’da zaalika minkum faqad dalla sawaaa’as Sabeel
5:13  ‏فَبِمَا نَقْضِهِم مِّيثَقَهُمْ لَعَنَّهُمْ وَجَعَلْنَا قُلُوبَهُمْ قَسِيَةًۭ ۖ يُحَرِّفُونَ ٱلْكَلِمَ عَن مَّوَاضِعِهِۦ ۙ وَنَسُوا۟ حَظًّۭا مِّمَّا ذُكِّرُوا۟ بِهِۦ ۚ وَلَا تَزَالُ تَطَّلِعُ عَلَىٰ خَآئِنَةٍۢ مِّنْهُمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًۭا مِّنْهُمْ ۖ فَٱعْفُ عَنْهُمْ وَٱصْفَحْ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
Fabimā Naqđihim Mīthāqahum La`annāhum Wa Ja`alnā Qulūbahum Qāsiyatan ۖ Yuĥarrifūna Al-Kalima `An Mawāđi`ihi ۙ Wa Nasū Ĥažžāan Mimmā Dhukkirū Bihi ۚ Wa Lā Tazālu Taţţali`u `Alá Khā’inatin Minhum ‘Illā Qalīlāan Minhum ۖ Fā`fu `Anhum Wa Aşfaĥ ۚ ‘Inna Allāha Yuĥibbu Al-Muĥsinīna (Al-Mā’idah: 13).
5:13  So for/Then because of their breaking of their covenant (i.e., solemn promise) We cursed them and We made their hearts to harden. They distort/ed/change the words ˹of the Scripture˺ from their places/context, and forgot/neglected a good part/portion of what they were reminded in/of it. ˹O Prophet˺ and you will not stop to find of/upon deceit from them except a few of them. But forgive them and overlook. Indeed, Allah loves the good-doers.

5:13  So for their breaking (of) their covenant We cursed them and We made their hearts hard. They distort the words from their places, and forgot a part of what they were reminded of [it]. And not you will cease to discover of treachery from them except a few of them. But forgive them and overlook. Indeed, Allah loves the good-doers.
13. Fabimaa naqdihim meesaa qahum la’annaahum wa ja’alnaa quloobahum qaasiyatai yuharrifoonal kalima ‘ammawaadi’ihee wa nasoo hazzam mimmaa zukkiroo bih; wa laa tazaalu tattali’u ‘alaa khaaa’inatim minhum illaa qaleelam minhum fa’fu ‘anhum wasfah; innal laaha yuhibbul muhsineen

5:14  ‏وَمِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا نَصَرَىٰٓ أَخَذْنَا مِيثَقَهُمْ فَنَسُوا۟ حَظًّۭا مِّمَّا ذُكِّرُوا۟ بِهِۦ فَأَغْرَيْنَا بَيْنَهُمُ ٱلْعَدَاوَةَ وَٱلْبَغْضَآءَ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَمَةِ ۚ وَسَوْفَ يُنَبِّئُهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَصْنَعُونَ
Wa Mina Al-Ladhīna Qālū ‘Innā Naşārá Akhadhnā Mīthāqahum Fanasū Ĥažžāan Mimmā Dhukkirū Bihi Fa’aghraynā Baynahumu Al-`Adāwata Wa Al-Baghđā’a ‘Ilá Yawmi ۚ Al-Qiyāmati Wa Sawfa Yunabbi’uhumu Allāhu Bimā Kānū Yaşna`ūna (Al-Mā’idah: 14).
5:14  And from those who said, Indeed we are Christians,” We took their covenant; but they forgot/neglected a good part/portion of what they were reminded of/in it. So We aroused enmity and hatred between them till/until the Day of the Resurrection/Judgement. And soon Allah will inform them of what they used to do.

5:14  And from those who said, Indeed we (are) Christians,” We took their covenant; but they forgot a part of what they were reminded of [it]. So We aroused between them [the] enmity and [the] hatred till (the) Day (of) the Resurrection. And soon Allah will inform them of what they used to do.
14. Wa minal lazeena qaalooo innaa nasaaraaa akhaznaa meesaaqahum fanasoo hazzam mimmaa zukkiroo bihee fa aghrainaa bainahumul ‘adaawata walbaghdaaa’a ilaa yawmil Qiyaamah; wa sawfa yunabbi’uhumul laahu bimaa kaanoo yasna’oon

5:15  ‏يَٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَبِ قَدْ جَآءَكُمْ رَسُولُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمْ كَثِيرًۭا مِّمَّا كُنتُمْ تُخْفُونَ مِنَ ٱلْكِتَبِ وَيَعْفُوا۟ عَن كَثِيرٍۢ ۚ قَدْ جَآءَكُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ نُورٌۭ وَكِتَبٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ
Yā ‘Ahla Al-Kitābi Qad Jā’akum Rasūlunā Yubayyinu Lakum Kathīrāan Mimmā Kuntum Tukhfūna Mina Al-Kitābi Wa Ya`fū `An Kathīrin ۚ Qad Jā’akum Mina Allāhi Nūrun Wa Kitābun Mubīnun (Al-Mā’idah: 15).
5:15  O People of the Book! Surely Our Messenger has come to you making clear to you much of what you used to conceal/hide of the Scripture and overlooking/disregarding of much. There surely has come to you from Allah a light and a clear Book

5:15  O People (of) the Book! Surely has come to you Our Messenger making clear to you much of what you used to conceal of the Scripture and overlooking of much. Surely has come to you from Allah a light and a Book clear
15. yaaa Ahlal kitaabi qad jaaa’akum Rasoolunaa yubaiyinu lakum kaseeram mimmmaa kuntum tukhfoona minal Kitaabi wa ya’foo ‘an kaseer; qad jaaa’akum minal laahi noorunw wa Kitaabum Mubeen
5:16  ‏يَهْدِى بِهِ ٱللَّهُ مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَ رِضْوَنَهُۥ سُبُلَ ٱلسَّلَمِ وَيُخْرِجُهُم مِّنَ ٱلظُّلُمَتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ بِإِذْنِهِۦ وَيَهْدِيهِمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَطٍۢ مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ
Yahdī Bihi Allāhu Mani Attaba`a Riđwānahu Subula As-Salāmi Wa Yukhrijuhum Mina Až-Žulumāti ‘Ilá An-Nūri Bi’idhnihi Wa Yahdīhim ‘Ilá Şirāţin Mustaqīmin (Al-Mā’idah: 16).
5:16  Through/with it Allah guides those who seek His pleasure to the ways of the peace, and brings them out from the darknessess into/to the light by His permission, and guides them to the straight way.

5:16  Guides with it Allah (those) who seek His pleasure (to the) ways (of) the peace, and brings them out from the darknessess to the light by His permission, and guides them to (the) way, straight.
16. Yahdee bihil laahu manit taba’a ridwaanahoo subulas salaami wa yukhrijuhum minaz zulumaati ilan noori bi iznihee wa yahdeehim ilaa Siraatim Mustaqeem
5:17  ‏لَّقَدْ كَفَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْمَسِيحُ ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ ۚ قُلْ فَمَن يَمْلِكُ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيْـًٔا إِنْ أَرَادَ أَن يُهْلِكَ ٱلْمَسِيحَ ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَأُمَّهُۥ وَمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًۭا ۗ وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَوَتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۚ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَآءُ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۭ
Laqad Kafara Al-Ladhīna Qālū ‘Inna Allāha Huwa Al-Masīĥu Abnu Maryama ۚ Qul Faman Yamliku Mina Allāhi Shay’āan ‘In ‘Arāda ‘An Yuhlika Al-Masīĥa Abna Maryama Wa ‘Ummahu Wa Man  Al-‘Arđi ۗ Jamī`āan Wa Lillāh Mulku As-Samāwāti Wa Al-‘Arđi Wa Mā ۚ Baynahumā Ykhluqu  ۚ Yashā’u Wa Allāhu `Alá Kulli Shay’in Qadīrun (Al-Mā’idah: 17).
5:17  Certainly those who disbelieved said, “Indeed, Allah is the Messiah, son of Maryam.” Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ Then who has power against Allah in anything if He intends/chooses to destroy the Messiah, son of Mary (i.e., Maryam), and his mother and whoever is in the earth all together?” And to Allah belongs the dominion/kingdom of the heavens and the earth and what/whatever is between both of them. He creates what He wills, and Allah is All-Powerful on every thing.

5:17  Certainly disbelieved those who said, “Indeed, Allah, He (is) the Messiah, son (of) Maryam.” Say, Then who has power against Allah (in) anything if He intends to destroy the Messiah, son (of) Maryam, and his mother and whoever (is) in the earth all?” And for Allah (is the) dominion (of) the heavens and the earth and what (is) between both of them. He creates what He wills, and Allah (is) on every thing All-Powerful.
17. Laqad kafaral lazeena qaalooo innal laaha huwal maseehub nu Maryam; qul famany-yamliku minal laahi shai’an in araada ai yuhlikal Maseehab na Maryama wa ummahoo wa man fil ardi jamee’aa, wa lillaahi mulkus samaawaati wal ardi wa maa bainahumaa; yakhluqu maa Yashaaa’; wallaahu ‘alaa kulli shai’in Qadeer
5:18  ‏وَقَالَتِ ٱلْيَهُودُ وَٱلنَّصَرَىٰ نَحْنُ أَبْنَٓؤُا۟ ٱللَّهِ وَأَحِبَّٓؤُهُۥ ۚ قُلْ فَلِمَ يُعَذِّبُكُم بِذُنُوبِكُم ۖ بَلْ أَنتُم بَشَرٌۭ مِّمَّنْ خَلَقَ ۚ يَغْفِرُ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَوَتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۖ وَإِلَيْهِ ٱلْمَصِيرُ
Wa Qālati Al-Yahūdu Wa An-Naşārá NaĥnuAbnā’u Allāhi Wa ‘Aĥibbā’uuhu ۚ Qul Falima Yu`adhdhibukum Bidhunūbikum ۖ BalAntum Basharun Mimman Khalaqa ۚ Yaghfiru Liman Yashā’u Wa Yu`adhdhibu Man Yashā’u ۚ Wa Lillāh Mulku As-Samāwāti Wa Al-‘Arđi Wa Mā Baynahumā ۖ Wa ‘Ilayhi Al-Maşīru (Al-Mā’idah: 18).
5:18  And the Jews and the Christians said, We are the children of Allah and His beloved.” Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Then why does He punish you for your sins?Nay, You are only human beings from among those He ˹Allah˺ created. He forgives whoever He wills and punishes whoever He wills. To Allah belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them. And to Him is the final return.

5:18  And said, the Jews and the ChristiansWe (are) (the) children (of) Allah and His beloved.” Say, “Then why (does He) punish you for your sins?Nay, you (are) human beings from among (those) He created. He forgives [for] whom He wills and punishes whom He wills. And for Allah (is the) dominion (of) the heavens and the earth and whatever (is) between them, and to Him (is) the final return.
18. Wa qaalatil Yahoodu wan Nasaaraa nahnu abnaaa’ul laahi wa ahibbaaa’uh; qul falima yu’azzibukum bizunoobikum bal antum basharum mimman khalaq; yaghfiru limai yashaaa’u wa yu’azzibu mai yashaaa’; wa lillaahi mulkus samaawaati wal ardi wa maa bainahumaa wa ilaihil maseer
5:19  ‏يَٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَبِ قَدْ جَآءَكُمْ رَسُولُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمْ عَلَىٰ فَتْرَةٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلرُّسُلِ أَن تَقُولُوا۟ مَا جَآءَنَا مِنۢ بَشِيرٍۢ وَلَا نَذِيرٍۢ ۖ فَقَدْ جَآءَكُم بَشِيرٌۭ وَنَذِيرٌۭ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۭ
Yā ‘Ahla Al-Kitābi Qad Jā’akum Rasūlunā Yubayyinu Lakum `Alá Fatratin Mina Ar-RusuliAn Taqūlū Jā’anā Min Bashīrin Wa Lā Nadhīrin ۖ Faqad Jā’akum Bashīrun Wa Nadhīrun ۗ Wa Allāhu `Alá Kulli Shay’in Qadīrun (Al-Mā’idah: 19).
5:19  O People of the Book! Surely Our Messenger has come to you, making things clear to you for after an interval (in the series/in the sequence) of the Messengers, lest/in case you should say “There has not come to us any deliverer of good news and nor a warner.But surely now there has come to you a deliverer of good news and a warner. And Allah is on every thing All-Powerful.

5:19  O People (of) the Book! Surely has come to you Our Messenger, he makes clear to you [on] (after) an interval (of cessation) of the Messengers, lest you sayNot (has) come to us any bearer of glad tidings and not a warner.But surely has come to you a bearer of glad tidings and a warner. And Allah (is) on every thing All-Powerful.
19. Yaaa Ahlal Kitaabi qad jaaa’akum Rasoolunaa yubaiyinu lakum ‘alaa fatratim minar Rusuli an taqooloo maa jaaa’anaa mim basheerinw wa laa nazeerin faqad jaaa’akum basheerunw wa nazeer; wallaahu ‘alaa kulli shai’in Qadeer (section 3)
5:20  ‏وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوْمِهِۦ يَقَوْمِ ٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَةَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ جَعَلَ فِيكُمْ أَنۢبِيَآءَ وَجَعَلَكُم مُّلُوكًۭا وَءَاتَىٰكُم مَّا لَمْ يُؤْتِ أَحَدًۭا مِّنَ ٱلْعَلَمِينَ
Wa ‘Idh Qāla Mūsá Liqawmihi Yā Qawmi Adhkurū Ni`mata Allāhi `Alaykum ‘Idh Ja`ala Fīkum Anbiyā’a Wa Ja`alakum Mulūkāan Wa ‘Ātākum  Lam Yu’uti ‘Aĥadāan Mina Al-`Ālamīna (Al-Mā’idah: 20).

5:20  And ˹remember˺ when Musa said to his people, “O my people, remember the Favor of Allah upon you when He placed among you Prophets and made you kings/possessors and He gave you what He had not given to anyone from the world/s.
5:20  And when said Musa to his people, “O my people, remember (the) Favor (of) Allah upon you when He placed among you Prophets and made you kings and He gave you what not He (had) given (to) anyone from the worlds.
20. Wa iz qaala Moosaa liqawmihee yaa qawmiz kuroo ni’matal laahi ‘alaikum iz ja’ala feekum ambiyaaa’a wa ja’alakum mulookanw wa aataakum maa lam yu’ti ahadam minal ‘aalameen
5:21  ‏يَقَوْمِ ٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْأَرْضَ ٱلْمُقَدَّسَةَ ٱلَّتِى كَتَبَ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمْ وَلَا تَرْتَدُّوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَدْبَارِكُمْ فَتَنقَلِبُوا۟ خَسِرِينَ
Yā Qawmi Adkhulū Al-‘Arđa Al-Muqaddasata Allatī Kataba Allāhu Lakum Wa Lā Tartaddū `Alá ‘Adbārikum Fatanqalibū Khāsirīna (Al-Mā’idah: 21).
5:21  “O my people! Enter the Holy land which Allah has ordained/assigned/prescribed for you and do not turn on your backs for if you do then/for you will turn back/become as losers.

for then you will become losers21. Yaa qawmid khulul Ardal Muqaddasatal latee katabal laahu lakum wa laa tartaddoo ‘alaaa adbaarikum fatanqaliboo khaasireenn

5:22  ‏قَالُوا۟ يَمُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّ فِيهَا قَوْمًۭا جَبَّارِينَ وَإِنَّا لَن نَّدْخُلَهَا حَتَّىٰ يَخْرُجُوا۟ مِنْهَا فَإِن يَخْرُجُوا۟ مِنْهَا فَإِنَّا دَخِلُونَ
Qālū Yā Mūsá ‘Inna Fīhā Qawmāan Jabbārīna Wa ‘Innā Lan Nadkhulahā Ĥattá Yakhrujū Minhā Fa’in Yakhrujū Minhā Fa’innā Dākhilūna (Al-Mā’idah: 22).
5:22  They (i..e, people) said, O Moses! Indeed, within it (i.e., holy land) are people of tyrannical/exceeding strength, and indeed, we will never enter it until they leave from it (i.e., holy land), and if they leave from it then certainly we will enter it (i.e., holy land).”

5:22  They said, O Musa! Indeed, in it (are) people (of) tyrannical strength and indeed, we never will enter it until they leave from it, and if they leave [from] it then certainly we (will) enter (it).”
22. Qaaloo yaa Moosaaa innaa feehaa qawman jabbaareena wa innaa lan nadkhulahaa hattaa yakhrujoo minhaa fa-iny yakhrujoo minhaa fa innaa daakhiloon
5:23  ‏قَالَ رَجُلَانِ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ أَنْعَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمَا ٱدْخُلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْبَابَ فَإِذَا دَخَلْتُمُوهُ فَإِنَّكُمْ غَلِبُونَ ۚ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَتَوَكَّلُوٓا۟ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
Qāla Rajulāni Mina Al-Ladhīna Yakhāfūna An`ama Allāhu `Alayhimā Adkhulū `Alayhimu Al-Bāba Fa’idhā Dakhaltumūhu Fa’innakum Ghālibūna ۚ Wa `Alá Allāhi Fatawakkalū ‘In Kuntum Mu’uminīna (Al-Mā’idah: 23).
5:23  Two men from among those who feared ˹Allah˺, and on both of them Allah had Favored Said,Enter upon them through the gate, then when you have entered it then indeed, you will be victorious. And upon Allah then put your trust if you are believers.

5:23  Said two men from those who feared (Allah), had Favored Allah [on] both of them, “Enter upon them (through) the gate then when you have entered it then indeed, you (will be) victorious. And upon Allah then put your trust if you are believers.
23. Qaala rajulaani minal lazeena yakhaafoona an’amal laahu ‘alaihimad khuloo ‘alaihimul baab, fa izaa dakhaltumoohu fa innakum ghaaliboon; wa ‘alal laahi fatawakkalooo in kuntum mu’mineen
5:24  ‏قَالُوا۟ يَمُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّا لَن نَّدْخُلَهَآ أَبَدًۭا مَّا دَامُوا۟ فِيهَا ۖ فَٱذْهَبْ أَنتَ وَرَبُّكَ فَقَتِلَآ إِنَّا هَهُنَا قَعِدُونَ
Qālū Yā Mūsá ‘Innā Lan Nadkhulahā ‘Abadāan  Dāmū Fīhā ۖ Fādh’hab ‘Anta Wa Rabbuka Faqātilā ‘Innā Hāhunā Qā`idūna (Al-Mā’idah: 24).
5:24  They said, O Musa! Indeed, we will never enter it, ever, for as long as they are in it. So go, both you and your Lord and fight. Indeed, we are sitting right here.”

So go, you and your Lord and you both fight. Indeed, we are sitting right here.”
24. Qaaloo yaa Moosaaa innaa lan nadkhulahaa abadam maa daamoo feehaa fazhab anta wa Rabbuka faqaatilaaa innaa haahunaa qaa’idoon
5:25  ‏قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّى لَآ أَمْلِكُ إِلَّا نَفْسِى وَأَخِى ۖ فَٱفْرُقْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْفَسِقِينَ
Qāla Rabbi ‘Innī  ‘Amliku ‘Illā Nafsī Wa ‘Akhī ۖ Fāfruq Baynanā Wa Bayna Al-Qawmi Al-Fāsiqīna (Al-Mā’idah: 25).
5:25  He ˹Moses˺ saidO my Lord! Indeed, I do not have power except over myself and my brother, so make a separation between us and between the disobedient people.
25. Qaala Rabbi innee laaa amliku illaa nafsee wa akhee fafruq bainanaa wa bainal qawmil faasiqeen
5:26  ‏قَالَ فَإِنَّهَا مُحَرَّمَةٌ عَلَيْهِمْ ۛ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةًۭ ۛ يَتِيهُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ فَلَا تَأْسَ عَلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْفَسِقِينَ
Qāla Fa’innahā Muĥarramatun `Alayhim ۛ ‘Arba`īna Sanatan ۛ Yatīhūna  Al-‘Arđi ۚ Falā Ta’sa `Alá Al-Qawmi Al-Fāsiqīna (Al-Mā’idah: 26).
5:26 ˹Allah˺ said, “Then indeed it (i.e., land) is forbidden to them for forty years, they will wander through the earth. So do not grieve/feel sorry over the disobedient people.

5:26  (Allah) said, “Then indeed it (will be) forbidden to them (for) forty years, they will wander in the earth. So (do) not grieve over the people the defiantly disobedient.
26. Qaala fa innahaa muhar ramatun ‘alaihim arba’eena sanah; yateehoona fil ard; falaa taasa ‘alal qawmil faasiqeen (section 4)
5:27  ‏ وَٱتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ ٱبْنَىْ ءَادَمَ بِٱلْحَقِّ إِذْ قَرَّبَا قُرْبَانًۭا فَتُقُبِّلَ مِنْ أَحَدِهِمَا وَلَمْ يُتَقَبَّلْ مِنَ ٱلْءَاخَرِ قَالَ لَأَقْتُلَنَّكَ ۖ قَالَ إِنَّمَا يَتَقَبَّلُ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ
Wa Atlu `Alayhim Naba’a AbnayĀdama Bil-Ĥaqqi Idh Qarrabā Qurbānāan Fatuqubbila MinAĥadihimā Wa Lam Yutaqabbal Mina Al-‘Ākhari Qāla La’aqtulannaka ۖ QālaInnamā Yataqabbalu Allāhu Mina Al-Muttaqīna (Al-Mā’idah: 27).
5:27  And recite to them in truth ˹O Prophet˺ the story of the two sons of Adam, when both offered a sacrifice, and it was accepted from one of them and was not accepted from the other. ˹the latter˺ Said ˹to the former˺ “Surely I will kill you.” ˹the former˺ Said, “Allah only accepts from the God fearing.

5:27  And recite to them the story (of) two sons (of) Adam, in truth, when both offered a sacrifice, and it was accepted from one of them and not was accepted from the other. Said (the latter), “Surely I will kill you.” Said (the former), “Only accepts Allah from the God fearing.
27. Watlu ‘alaihim naba abnai Aadama bilhaqq; iz qarrabaa qurbaanan fatuqubbila min ahadihimaa wa lam yutaqabbal minal aakhari qaala la aqtulannnaka qaala innamaa yataqabbalul laahu minal muttaqeen
5:28  ‏لَىِٕنۢ بَسَطتَ إِلَىَّ يَدَكَ لِتَقْتُلَنِى مَآ أَنَا۠ بِبَاسِطٍۢ يَدِىَ إِلَيْكَ لِأَقْتُلَكَ ۖ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ ٱللَّهَ رَبَّ ٱلْعَلَمِينَ
La’in Basaţta Ilayya Yadaka Litaqtulanī Mā ‘Anā Bibāsiţin Yadiya ‘Ilayka Li’qtulaka ۖ ‘Innī ‘Akhāfu Allāha Rabba Al-`Ālamīna (Al-Mā’idah: 28).
5:28  If you stretch/raise your hand towards me to kill me, I will not stretch/raise my hand towards you to kill you, indeed I fear Allah, the Lord of the worlds.”
28. La’im basatta ilaiya yadaka litaqtulanee maaa ana bibaasitiny yadiya ilaika li aqtulaka inneee akhaaful laaha Rabbal ‘aalameen
5:29  ‏إِنِّىٓ أُرِيدُ أَن تَبُوٓأَ بِإِثْمِى وَإِثْمِكَ فَتَكُونَ مِنْ أَصْحَبِ ٱلنَّارِ ۚ وَذَلِكَ جَزَٓؤُا۟ ٱلظَّلِمِينَ
‘Innī ‘UrīduAn Tabū’a Bi’ithmī Wa ‘Ithmika Fatakūna Min ‘Aşĥābi An-Nāri ۚ Wa Dhalika Jazā’u Až-Žālimīna (Al-Mā’idah: 29).
5:29  Indeed, I wish that you be laden/burdened with my sin and your sin so you will be among the companions of the Fire, and that is the recompense/reward of the wrong-doers.”
29. Inee ureedu an tabooo’a bi ismee wa ismika fatakoona min As-haabin Naar; wa zaalika jazaaa’uz zaalimeen
5:30  ‏فَطَوَّعَتْ لَهُۥ نَفْسُهُۥ قَتْلَ أَخِيهِ فَقَتَلَهُۥ فَأَصْبَحَ مِنَ ٱلْخَسِرِينَ
Faţawwa`at Lahu Nafsuhu Qatla ‘Akhīhi Faqatalahu Fa’aşbaĥa Mina Al-Khāsirīna (Al-Mā’idah: 30).
5:30  Then his (i.e., cain) soul prompted him to kill his brother, so he killed him and became among the losers.
30. Fatawwa’at lahoo nafsu hoo qatla akheehi faqatalahoo fa asbaha minal khaasireen
5:31  ‏فَبَعَثَ ٱللَّهُ غُرَابًۭا يَبْحَثُ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ لِيُرِيَهُۥ كَيْفَ يُوَرِى سَوْءَةَ أَخِيهِ ۚ قَالَ يَوَيْلَتَىٰٓ أَعَجَزْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِثْلَ هَذَا ٱلْغُرَابِ فَأُوَرِىَ سَوْءَةَ أَخِى ۖ فَأَصْبَحَ مِنَ ٱلنَّدِمِينَ
Faba`atha Allāhu Ghurābāan Yabĥathu Fī Al-‘Arđi Liyuriyahu Kayfa Yuwārī Saw’ata ‘Akhīhi ۚ Qāla Yā Waylatā A`ajaztu ‘An ‘Akūna Mithla Hādhā Al-Ghurābi Fa’uwāriya Saw’ata ‘Akhī ۖ Fa’aşbaĥa Mina An-Nādimīna (Al-Mā’idah: 31).
5:31  Then Allah sent a crow, it (was) scratching/digging in the earth to show him how to hide/burry (the) dead body (of) his brother. he ˹Cain˺ said,Woe to me! Have i failed to be like this crow/have i become so incapable/Am I unable/not ˹even˺ able that I can/would be like this crow and hide/burry the dead body of my brother?” Then he became of the regretful.

He cried, “Alas! Have I ˹even˺ failed to be like this crow and bury the corpse of my brother?” So he became regretful.

31. Faba’asal laahu ghuraabai yabhasu fil ardi liyuriyahoo kaifa yuwaaree saw’ata akheeh; qaala yaa wailataaa a’ajaztu an akoona misla haazal ghuraabi fa uwaariya saw ata akhee fa asbaha minan naadimeen
5:32  ‏مِنْ أَجْلِ ذَلِكَ كَتَبْنَا عَلَىٰ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٓءِيلَ أَنَّهُۥ مَن قَتَلَ نَفْسًۢا بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ أَوْ فَسَادٍۢ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَكَأَنَّمَا قَتَلَ ٱلنَّاسَ جَمِيعًۭا وَمَنْ أَحْيَاهَا فَكَأَنَّمَآ أَحْيَا ٱلنَّاسَ جَمِيعًۭا ۚ وَلَقَدْ جَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُنَا بِٱلْبَيِّنَتِ ثُمَّ إِنَّ كَثِيرًۭا مِّنْهُم بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ لَمُسْرِفُونَ
Min Ajli Dhālika Katabnā `Alá Banī Isrā’īla ‘Annahu Man Qatala Nafsāan Bighayri Nafsin ‘Aw Fasādin Fī Al-‘Arđi Faka’annamā Qatala An-Nāsa Jamī`āan Wa Man ‘Aĥyāhā Faka’annamā ‘Aĥyā An-Nāsa Jamī`āan ۚ Wa Laqad Jā’at/hum Rusulunā Bil-Bayyināti Thumma ‘Inna Kathīrāan Minhum Ba`da Dhālika Al-‘Arđi Lamusrifūna (Al-Mā’idah: 32).
5:32  From/for that time/reason, We ordained/decreed on/upon the Children of Israel that he who kills a soul (i.e., takes a life) other than for a soul or for spreading corruption in the earth then it is as if he has killed all of the humanity and whoever saves it then it is as if he has saved all of the humanity. And surely Our Messengers came to them with clear Signs. Yet, indeed, many of them after that in the earth are surely those who commit excesses.
32. Min ajli zaalika katabnaa ‘alaa Banee Israaa’eela annahoo man qatala nafsam bighairi nafsin aw fasaadin fil ardi faka annammaa qatalan naasa jamee’anw wa man ahyaahaa faka annamaaa ahyan naasa jamee’aa; wa laqad jaaa’at hum Rusulunaa bilbaiyinaati summa inna kaseeram minhum ba’da zaalika fil ardi lamusrifoon
5:33  ‏إِنَّمَا جَزَٓؤُا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ يُحَارِبُونَ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ وَيَسْعَوْنَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَسَادًا أَن يُقَتَّلُوٓا۟ أَوْ يُصَلَّبُوٓا۟ أَوْ تُقَطَّعَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَأَرْجُلُهُم مِّنْ خِلَفٍ أَوْ يُنفَوْا۟ مِنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ ذَلِكَ لَهُمْ خِزْىٌۭ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ وَلَهُمْ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ
Innamā Jazā’u Al-Ladhīna Yuĥāribūna Allāha Wa Rasūlahu Wa Yas`awna  Al-‘Arđi Fasādāan An Yuqattalū Aw Yuşallabū ‘Aw Tuqaţţa`a ‘Aydīhim Wa ‘Arjuluhum Min KhilāfinAw Yunfawā Mina Al-‘Arđi ۚ Dhālika Lahum Khizyun  Ad-Dunyā ۖ Wa Lahum  Al-‘Ākhirati `Adhābun `Ažīmun (Al-Mā’idah: 33).
5:33  Only/Indeed the recompense for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive in the earth spreading corruption is that they be killed or they be crucified or be cut off/cutting off their hands and their feet of opposite sides or they be exiled from the land. That is a disgrace for them in the world and for them is a great punishment in the Hereafter.
33. Innamaa jazaaa’ul lazeena yuhaariboonal laaha wa Rasoolahoo wa yas’awna fil ardi fasaadan ai yuqattalooo aw yusallabooo aw tuqatta’a aideehim wa arjuluhum min khilaafin aw yunfaw minalard; zaalika lahum khizyun fid dunyaa wa lahum fil Aakhirati ‘azaabun ‘azeem
5:34  ‏إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ تَابُوا۟ مِن قَبْلِ أَن تَقْدِرُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمْ ۖ فَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ
Illā Al-Ladhīna Tābū Min Qabli ‘An Taqdirū `Alayhim ۖ Fā`lamū ‘Anna Allāha Ghafūrun Raĥīmun (Al-Mā’idah: 34).
5:34  Except for those who repent from before that you overpower over them, then know that Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
34. Illal lazeena taaboo min qabli an taqdiroo ‘alaihim fa’lamooo annnal laaha Ghafoorur Raheem (section 5)
5:35  ‏يَٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱبْتَغُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ ٱلْوَسِيلَةَ وَجَهِدُوا۟ فِى سَبِيلِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ
Yā ‘Ayyuhā Al-LadhīnaĀmanū Attaqū Allaha Wa Abtaghū ‘Ilayhi Al-Wasīlata Wa Jāhidū Sabīlihi La`allakum Tufliĥūna (Al-Mā’idah: 35).
5:35  O you who believe! Fear/Be mindful of Allah and seek the means ˹to come closer˺/ways to come closer towards/to Him and struggle in His way, so that you may succeed.
35. yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanut taqul laaha wabtaghooo ilaihil waseelata wa jaahidoo fee sabeelihee la’allakum tuflihoon
5:36  ‏إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَوْ أَنَّ لَهُم مَّا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًۭا وَمِثْلَهُۥ مَعَهُۥ لِيَفْتَدُوا۟ بِهِۦ مِنْ عَذَابِ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَمَةِ مَا تُقُبِّلَ مِنْهُمْ ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۭ
Inna Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Law ‘Anna Lahum   Al-‘Arđi Jamī`āan Wa Mithlahu Ma`ahu Liyaftadū Bihi Min `Adhābi Yawmi Al-Qiyāmati Tuqubbila Minhum ۖ Wa Lahum `AdhābunAlīmun (Al-Mā’idah: 36).
5:36  Indeed, those who disbelieve, if they have all that what is in the earth and the like of it with it, to ransom themselves with it, from the punishment of the Day of the Resurrection/Judgement, it will not be accepted from them, and for them is a painful punishment.
36. Innal lazeena kafaroo law anna lahum maa fil ardi jamee’anw wa mislahoo ma’ahoo liyaftadoo bihee min ‘azaabi Yawmil Qiyaamati maa tuqubbila minhum wa lahum azaabun aleem
5:37  ‏يُرِيدُونَ أَن يَخْرُجُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ وَمَا هُم بِخَرِجِينَ مِنْهَا ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌۭ مُّقِيمٌۭ
Yurīdūna ‘An Yakhrujū Mina An-Nāri Wa Mā Hum Bikhārijīna Minhā ۖ Wa Lahum `Adhābun Muqīmun (Al-Mā’idah: 37).
5:37  They will wish that they come/get out of the Fire, but they will not come out of it. And for them is a lasting punishment.
37. Yureedoona ai yakhrujoo minan Naari wa maa hum bikhaari jeena minhaa wa lahum ‘azaabum muqeem
5:38  ‏وَٱلسَّارِقُ وَٱلسَّارِقَةُ فَٱقْطَعُوٓا۟ أَيْدِيَهُمَا جَزَآءًۢ بِمَا كَسَبَا نَكَلًۭا مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌۭ
Wa As-Sāriqu Wa As-Sāriqatu Fāqţa`ū ‘Aydiyahumā Jazā’an Bimā Kasabā Nakālāan Mina Allāhi ۗ Wa Allāhu `Azīzun Ĥakīmun (Al-Mā’idah: 38).
5:38  And for the male thief and the female thiefthen cut off their hands as a recompense for what they earned as an exemplary ˹punishment˺ from Allah. And Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.
38. Wassaariqu wassaariqatu faqta’oo aidiyahumaa jazaaa’am bimaa kasabaa nakaalam minal laah; wallaahu ‘Azeezun hakeem
5:39  ‏فَمَن تَابَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ظُلْمِهِۦ وَأَصْلَحَ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَتُوبُ عَلَيْهِ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌ
Faman Tāba Min Ba`di Žulmihi Wa ‘Aşlaĥa Fa’inna Allāha Yatūbu `Alayhi ۗ ‘Inna Allāha Ghafūrun Raĥīmun (Al-Mā’idah: 39).
5:39  But whoever repented/repents from after his wrongdoing and reforms, then indeed, Allah will turn to him in forgiveness. Indeed, Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
39. Faman taaba mim ba’di zulmihee wa aslaha fa innal laaha yatoobu ‘alaih; innal laaha Ghafoorur Raheem
5:40  ‏أَلَمْ تَعْلَمْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَوَتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ يُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَغْفِرُ لِمَن يَشَآءُ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۭ
Alam Ta`lam ‘Anna Allāha Lahu Mulku As-Samāwāti Wa Al-‘Arđi Yu`adhdhibu Man Yashā’u Wa Yaghfiru Liman Yashā’u ۗ Wa Allāhu `Alá Kulli Shay’in Qadīrun (Al-Mā’idah: 40).
5:40  Do you not know that to Allah, to Him belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth? He punishes whom He wills and He forgives to whom He wills. And Allah is on every thing All-Powerful.
40. Alam ta’lam annal laaha lahoo mulkus samaawaati wal ardi yu’az zibu many-yashaa’u wa yaghfiru limany-yashaaa’; wallaahu ‘alaa kulli shai’in Qadeer
5:41  ‏ يَٓأَيُّهَا ٱلرَّسُولُ لَا يَحْزُنكَ ٱلَّذِينَ يُسَرِعُونَ فِى ٱلْكُفْرِ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا بِأَفْوَهِهِمْ وَلَمْ تُؤْمِن قُلُوبُهُمْ ۛ وَمِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ هَادُوا۟ ۛ سَمَّعُونَ لِلْكَذِبِ سَمَّعُونَ لِقَوْمٍ ءَاخَرِينَ لَمْ يَأْتُوكَ ۖ يُحَرِّفُونَ ٱلْكَلِمَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَوَاضِعِهِۦ ۖ يَقُولُونَ إِنْ أُوتِيتُمْ هَذَا فَخُذُوهُ وَإِن لَّمْ تُؤْتَوْهُ فَٱحْذَرُوا۟ ۚ وَمَن يُرِدِ ٱللَّهُ فِتْنَتَهُۥ فَلَن تَمْلِكَ لَهُۥ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيْـًٔا ۚ أُو۟لَٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَمْ يُرِدِ ٱللَّهُ أَن يُطَهِّرَ قُلُوبَهُمْ ۚ لَهُمْ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا خِزْىٌۭ ۖ وَلَهُمْ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌۭ
Yā ‘Ayyuhā Ar-Rasūlu Yaĥzunka Al-Ladhīna Yusāri`ūna Al-Kufri Mina Al-Ladhīna Qālū Āmannā Bi’afwāhihim Wa Lam Tu’umin Qulūbuhum ۛ Wa Mina Al-Ladhīna Hādū ۛ Sammā`ūna Lilkadhibi Sammā`ūna LiqawminĀkharīna Lam Ya’tūka ۖ Yuĥarrifūna Al-Kalima Min Ba`di Mawāđi`ihi ۖ Yaqūlūna ‘In ‘Ūtītum Hādhā Fakhudhūhu Wa ‘In Lam Tu’utawhu Fāĥdharū ۚ Wa Man Yuridi Allāhu Fitnatahu Falan Tamlika Lahu Mina Allāhi Shay’āan ۚ ‘Ūlā’ika Al-Ladhīna Lam Yuridi AllāhuAn Yuţahhira Qulūbahum ۚ Lahum  Ad-Dunyā Khizyun ۖ Wa Lahum Fī Al-‘Ākhirati `Adhābun `Ažīmun (Al-Mā’idah: 41).
5:41  O Messenger! Do not let those grieve/sadden you who hasten/hurry/race into disbeliefof/among those who said/say, We believewith their mouths but their hearts do not believe, and from/among those who are Jews, they are listeners/listen to falsehood/lies, and listeners/listen for/to other people, who have not come to you. They distort/change the words from out/after of their/its context, saying,If you are given this ˹ruling˺ so/then take it but if you are not given it, then beware.And for whomever Allah intends/wants his trial/to test, then you will never have power for him against Allah in anything. Those are the ones, Allah never intends that/to purify their hearts. For them is disgrace in the world and for them is a great punishment in the Hereafter.

5:41  O Messenger! Not let grieve you those who hasten in (to) [the] disbeliefof those who said, We believewith their mouths and not believe their hearts, and from those who (are) Jews. Those (are) the ones never intends Allah that He purifies their hearts. For them in the world (is) disgrace and for them in the Hereafter (is) a punishment great.
41. Yaaa ayyuhar Rasoolu laa yahzunkal lazeena yusaa ri’oona fil kufri minal lazeena qaaloo aamannaa bi afwaahihim wa lam tu’min quloobuhum; wa minal lazeena haadoo sammaa’oona lilkazibi sammaa’oona liqawmin aakhareena lam ya’tooka yuharrifoonal kalima mim ba’di mawaadi’ihee yaqooloona in ooteetum haazaa fakhuzoohu wa il lam tu’tawhu fahzaroo; wa many-yuridil laahu fitnatahoo falan tamlika lahoo minal laahi shai’aa; ulaaa ‘ikal lazeena lam yuridil laahu any-yutahhira quloobahum; lahum fid dunyaa khizyunw wa lahum fil Aakhirati’azaabun ‘azeem
5:42  ‏سَمَّعُونَ لِلْكَذِبِ أَكَّلُونَ لِلسُّحْتِ ۚ فَإِن جَآءُوكَ فَٱحْكُم بَيْنَهُمْ أَوْ أَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ ۖ وَإِن تُعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ فَلَن يَضُرُّوكَ شَيْـًۭٔا ۖ وَإِنْ حَكَمْتَ فَٱحْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِٱلْقِسْطِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُقْسِطِينَ
Sammā`ūna Lilkadhibi ‘Akkālūna Lilssuĥti ۚ Fa’in Jā’ūka Fāĥkum Baynahum ‘Aw ‘A`riđ `Anhum ۖ Wa ‘In Tu`riđ `Anhum Falan Yađurrūka Shay’āan ۖ Wa ‘In Ĥakamta Fāĥkum Baynahum Bil-Qisţi ۚ ‘Inna Allāha Yuĥibbu Al-Muqsiţīna (Al-Mā’idah: 42).

5:42 They listen to falsehood, consume the forbidden gain. So if they come to you ˹O Prophet˺, then/either judge between them or turn away from them. And if you turn away from them, then they will never/not harm you in anything. And/But if you judge, then judge between them with justice. Indeed, Allah loves the ones who are just.

42. Sammaa’oona lilkazibi akkaaloona lissuht; fa in jaaa’ooka fahkum bainahum aw a’rid anhum wa in tu’rid ‘anhum falany-yadurrooka shai’anw wa in hakamta fahkum bainahum bilqist; innal laaha yuhibbul muqsiteen
5:43  ‏وَكَيْفَ يُحَكِّمُونَكَ وَعِندَهُمُ ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةُ فِيهَا حُكْمُ ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ يَتَوَلَّوْنَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ذَلِكَ ۚ وَمَآ أُو۟لَٓئِكَ بِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Wa Kayfa Yuĥakkimūnaka Wa `Indahumu At-Tawrāatu Fīhā Ĥukmu Allāhi Thumma Yatawallawna Min Ba`di Dhālika ۚ Wa Mā ‘Ūlā’ika Bil-Mu’uminīna (Al-Mā’idah: 43).

5:43  But how can/will they appoint you a judge while they ˹already˺ have the Taurat (i.e., Torah) with them, in it is the Command/Judgement of Allah? Then they turn away ˹even˺ from after that, and/for/but those are not the believers.

43. Wa kaifa yuhakkimoonaka wa ‘indahumut Tawraatu feehaa hukmul laahi summa yatawallawna mim ba’di zaalik; wa maaa ulaaa’ika bilmu’mineen (section 6)

5:44  ‏إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَا ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَ فِيهَا هُدًۭى وَنُورٌۭ ۚ يَحْكُمُ بِهَا ٱلنَّبِيُّونَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَسْلَمُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ هَادُوا۟ وَٱلرَّبَّنِيُّونَ وَٱلْأَحْبَارُ بِمَا ٱسْتُحْفِظُوا۟ مِن كِتَبِ ٱللَّهِ وَكَانُوا۟ عَلَيْهِ شُهَدَآءَ ۚ فَلَا تَخْشَوُا۟ ٱلنَّاسَ وَٱخْشَوْنِ وَلَا تَشْتَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَتِى ثَمَنًۭا قَلِيلًۭا ۚ وَمَن لَّمْ يَحْكُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ فَأُو۟لَٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْكَفِرُونَ
‘Innā ‘Anzalnā At-Tawrāata Fīhā Hudan Wa Nūrun ۚ Yaĥkumu Bihā An-Nabīyūna Al-Ladhīna ‘Aslamū Lilladhīna Hādū Wa ArRabbānīyūna Wa Al-‘Aĥbāru Bimā Astuĥfižū Min Kitābi Allāhi Wa Kānū `Alayhi Shuhadā’a ۚ Falā Takhshawā An-Nāsa Wa Akhshawnī Wa Lā Tashtarū Bi’āyātī Thamanāan Qalīlāan ۚ Wa Man Lam Yaĥkum Bimā ‘Anzala Allāhu Fa’ūlā’ika Humu Al-Kāfirūna (Al-Mā’idah: 44).
5:44  Indeed, We revealed the Taurat in it/containing (was) Guidance and light; the Prophets, those who had submitted ˹to Allah˺ judged by it for those who were Jews. And ˹so too did˺ the Rabbis, and the scholars, with what/which they were entrusted/made to gaurd of the Book of Allah and they were witnesses to it. So do not fear the people but fear Me, and do not sell My Verses for a small price/gain. And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed, then those are they the disbelievers.

5:44  Indeed, We revealed the Taurat in it (was) Guidance and light; judged by it the Prophets, those who had submitted ˹to Allah˺ for those who were Jews, and the Rabbis, and the scholars, with what they were entrusted of (the) Book (of) Allah and they were to it witnesses. So (do) not fear the people but fear Me, and (do) not sell My Verses (for) a price, little. And whoever (does) not judge by what has revealed Allah, then those [they] (are) the disbelievers.
44. Innaaa anzalnat Tawraata feehaa hudanw wa noor; yahkumu bihan Nabiyyoonal lazeena aslamoo lillazeena haadoo war rabbaaniyyoona wal ahbaaru bimas tuhfizoo min Kitaabil laahi wa kaanoo ‘alaihi shuhadaaa’; falaa takhshawun naasa wakhshawni wa laa tashtaroo bi aayaatee samanan qaleelaa; wa mal lam yahkum bimaaa anzalal laahu fa ulaaa’ika humul kaafiroon
5:45  ‏وَكَتَبْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ فِيهَآ أَنَّ ٱلنَّفْسَ بِٱلنَّفْسِ وَٱلْعَيْنَ بِٱلْعَيْنِ وَٱلْأَنفَ بِٱلْأَنفِ وَٱلْأُذُنَ بِٱلْأُذُنِ وَٱلسِّنَّ بِٱلسِّنِّ وَٱلْجُرُوحَ قِصَاصٌۭ ۚ فَمَن تَصَدَّقَ بِهِۦ فَهُوَ كَفَّارَةٌۭ لَّهُۥ ۚ وَمَن لَّمْ يَحْكُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ فَأُو۟لَٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلظَّلِمُونَ
Wa Katabnā `Alayhim Fīhā ‘Anna An-Nafsa Bin-Nafsi Wa Al-`Ayna Bil-`Ayni Wa Al-‘Anfa Bil-‘Anfi Wa Al-‘Udhuna Bil-‘Udhuni Wa As-Sinna Bis-Sinni Wa Al-Jurūĥa Qişāşun ۚ Faman Taşaddaqa Bihi Fahuwa Kaffāratun Lahu ۚ Wa Man Lam Yaĥkum Bimā ‘Anzala Allāhu Fa’ūlā’ika Humu Až-Žālimūna (Al-Mā’idah: 45).
5:45  And We ordained for them in it ˹the Torah˺ thatthe/a life for the/a life, and the/an eye for the/an eye, and the/a nose for the/a nose, and the/a ear for the/a ear, and the/a tooth for the/a tooth, and for wounds (is) equal retaliation/retribution. But whoever gives charity with it, then it is an expiation/atonement for him. And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed, then those are they the wrongdoers.

5:45  And We ordained for them in it thatthe life for the life, and the eye for the eye, and the nose for the nose, and the ear for the ear, and the tooth for the tooth, and (for) wounds (is) retribution. But whoever gives charity with it, then it is an expiation for him. And whoever (does) not judge by what has revealed Allah, then those are they the wrongdoers.
45. Wa katabnaa ‘alaihim feehaaa annan nafsa binnafsi wal’aina bil’aini wal anfa bilanfi wal uzuna bil uzuni wassinna bissinni waljurooha qisaas; faman tasaddaqa bihee fahuwa kaffaaratul lah; wa mal lam yahkum bimaaa anzalal laahu fa ulaaa’ika humuz zalimoon
5:46  ‏وَقَفَّيْنَا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَرِهِم بِعِيسَى ٱبْنِ مَرْيَمَ مُصَدِّقًۭا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةِ ۖ وَءَاتَيْنَهُ ٱلْإِنجِيلَ فِيهِ هُدًۭى وَنُورٌۭ وَمُصَدِّقًۭا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةِ وَهُدًۭى وَمَوْعِظَةًۭ لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ
Wa Qaffaynā `Alá ‘Āthārihim Bi`īsá Abni Maryama Muşaddiqāan Limā Bayna Yadayhi Mina At-Tawrāati ۖ Wa ‘Ātaynāhu Al-‘Injīla Fīhi Hudan Wa Nūrun Wa Muşaddiqāan Limā Bayna Yadayhi Mina At-Tawrāati Wa Hudan Wa Maw`ižatan Lilmuttaqīna (Al-Mā’idah: 46).
5:46  And We sent on/in their (i.e., prophets) footsteps Isa, son of Maryam ˹Mary˺, confirming what was between his hands of the Taurat ˹Torah˺, and We gave him the Injeel ˹Gospel˺, in it/containing (was) Guidance and light and confirming what was between his hands of the Taurat ˹Torah˺ and a Guidance and an admonition/a lesson for the God conscious.
46. Wa qaffainaa ‘alaaa aasaaarihim bi ‘Eesab ni Maryama musaddiqal limaa baina yadaihi minat Tawraati wa aatainaahul Injeela feehi hudanw wa noorunw wa musaddiqal limaa baina yadaihi minat Tawraati wa hudanw wa maw’izatal lilmuttaqeen
5:47  ‏وَلْيَحْكُمْ أَهْلُ ٱلْإِنجِيلِ بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ فِيهِ ۚ وَمَن لَّمْ يَحْكُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ فَأُو۟لَٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْفَسِقُونَ
Wa Lyaĥkum ‘Ahlu Al-‘Injīli Bimā ‘Anzala Allāhu Fīhi ۚ Wa Man Lam Yaĥkum Bimā ‘Anzala Allāhu Fa’ūlā’ika Humu Al-Fāsiqūna (Al-Mā’idah: 47).
5:47  And let the People of the Injeel ˹Gospel˺ judge by what Allah has revealed in it. And whoever does not judge by what Allah revealed then those are they the defiantly disobedient.

5:47  And let judge (the) People (of) the Injeel by what has revealed Allah in it. And whoever (does) not judge by what revealed Allah then those [they] (are) the defiantly disobedient.
47. Walyahkum Ahlul Injeeli bimaaa anzalal laahu feeh; wa mal lam yahkum bimaaa anzalal laahu fa ulaaa’ika humul faasiqoon
5:48  ‏وَأَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكَ ٱلْكِتَبَ بِٱلْحَقِّ مُصَدِّقًۭا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ ٱلْكِتَبِ وَمُهَيْمِنًا عَلَيْهِ ۖ فَٱحْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ ۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ عَمَّا جَآءَكَ مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ ۚ لِكُلٍّۢ جَعَلْنَا مِنكُمْ شِرْعَةًۭ وَمِنْهَاجًۭا ۚ وَلَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ لَجَعَلَكُمْ أُمَّةًۭ وَحِدَةًۭ وَلَكِن لِّيَبْلُوَكُمْ فِى مَآ ءَاتَىٰكُمْ ۖ فَٱسْتَبِقُوا۟ ٱلْخَيْرَتِ ۚ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَمِيعًۭا فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ
Wa ‘Anzalnā ‘Ilayka Al-Kitāba Bil-Ĥaqqi Muşaddiqāan Limā Bayna Yadayhi Mina Al-Kitābi Wa Muhaymināan `Alayhi ۖ Fāĥkum Baynahum Bimā ‘Anzala Allāhu ۖ Wa Lā Tattabi`Ahwā’ahum `Ammā Jā’aka Mina Al-Ĥaqqi ۚ Likullin Ja`alnā Minkum Shir`atan Wa Minhājāan ۚ Wa Law Shā’a Allāhu Laja`alakum ‘Ummatan Wāĥidatan Wa Lakin Liyabluwakum Fī  ‘Ātākum ۖ Fāstabiqū Al-Khayrāti ۚ ‘Ilá Allāhi Marji`ukum Jamī`āan Fayunabbi’ukum Bimā Kuntum Fīhi Takhtalifūna (Al-Mā’idah: 48).
5:48  And We revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book with the truth, confirming of the ˹previous˺ Book/s/Scripture/s (i.e., previous scripture/ previously revealed) that which was ˹present˺ between hands and as a guardian over it (i.e., previous scriptures). So judge between them by what Allah has revealed, and do not follow their desires when/above what of/from the truth has come to you. For each of you We have made/ordained/prescribed/appointed/assigned a law and a clear way/well defined path/way/method. And if Allah had willed, He would have made you one community, but ˹He wills˺ to test you in what He has given ˹each of˺ you, so race to do the good. To Allah you will all return, then He will inform you of what/whatever you were differing concerning/about it.

5:48  And We revealed to you the Book in [the] truth, confirming what (was) between his hands of the Book and a guardian over it. So judge between them by what has revealed Allah, and (do) not follow their vain desires when has come to you of the truth. For each We have made for you a law and a clear way. And if (had) willed Allah He (would have) made you a community one, [and] but to test you in what He (has) given you, so race (to) the good. To Allah you will return all. then He will inform you of what you were concerning it differing.
48. Wa anzalnaa ilaikal Kitaaba bilhaqqi musaddiqallimaa baina yadaihi minal Kitaabi wa muhaiminan ‘alaihi fahkum bainahum bimaa anzalal laahu wa laa tattabi’ ahwaaa’ahum ‘ammaa jaaa’aka minal haqq; likullin ja’alnaa minkum shir’atanw wa minhaajaa; wa law shaaa’al laahu laja’alakum ummatanw waahidatanw wa laakil liyabluwakum fee maa aataakum fastabiqul khairaat; ilal laahi marji’ukum jamee’an fayunab bi’ukum bimaa kuntum feehi takhtalifoon
5:49  ‏وَأَنِ ٱحْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ وَٱحْذَرْهُمْ أَن يَفْتِنُوكَ عَنۢ بَعْضِ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ إِلَيْكَ ۖ فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا۟ فَٱعْلَمْ أَنَّمَا يُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ أَن يُصِيبَهُم بِبَعْضِ ذُنُوبِهِمْ ۗ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًۭا مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَفَسِقُونَ
Wa ‘Ani Aĥkum Baynahum Bimā Anzala Allāhu Wa Lā Tattabi` ‘Ahwā’ahum Wa Aĥdharhum ‘An Yaftinūka `An Ba`đi Mā Anzala Allāhu ‘Ilayka ۖ Fa’in Tawallawā Fā`lam ‘Annamā Yurīdu Allāhu ‘An Yuşībahum Biba`đi Dhunūbihim ۗ Wa ‘Inna Kathīrāan Mina An-Nāsi Lafāsiqūna (Al-Mā’idah: 49).
5:49  And that you ˹O Prophet˺ judge between them by what Allah has revealed, and do not follow their desires and beware of them lest/in case they tempt you away from some of what Allah has revealed to you. And if they turn away, then know that Allah only intends/wants to afflict/punish them for some of their sins. And indeed, many of/among the people are defiantly disobedient.
49. Wa anih kum bainahum bimaaa anzalal laahu wa laa tattabi’ ahwaaa’ahum wahzarhum ai yaftinooka ‘am ba’di maaa anzalal laahu ilaika fa in tawallaw fa’lam annamaa yureedul laahu ai yuseebahum biba’di zunoobihim; wa inna kaseeram minan naasi lafaasiqoon
5:50  ‏أَفَحُكْمَ ٱلْجَهِلِيَّةِ يَبْغُونَ ۚ وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ حُكْمًۭا لِّقَوْمٍۢ يُوقِنُونَ
‘Afaĥukma Al-Jāhilīyati Yabghūna ۚ Wa Man Aĥsanu Mina Allāhi Ĥukmāan Liqawmin Yūqinūna (Al-Mā’idah: 50).
5:50  Is it then the judgment of the ˹pre-islamic˺ ignorance they seek? And who is better than Allah in judgment for a people who/of firmly believe/firm believe/firm faith.
50. Afahukmal jaahiliyyati yabghoon; wa man ahsanu minal laahi hukmal liqawminy yooqinoon (section 7)
5:51  ‏ يَٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَتَّخِذُوا۟ ٱلْيَهُودَ وَٱلنَّصَرَىٰٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ ۘ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَآءُ بَعْضٍۢ ۚ وَمَن يَتَوَلَّهُم مِّنكُمْ فَإِنَّهُۥ مِنْهُمْ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلظَّلِمِينَ
Yā ‘Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna ‘Āmanū Tattakhidhū Al-Yahūda Wa An-Naşārá ‘Awliyā’a ۘ Ba`đuhum ‘Awliyā’u Ba`đin ۚ Wa Man Yatawallahum Minkum Fa’innahu Minhum ۗ ‘Inna Allāha Yahdī Al-Qawma Až-Žālimīna (Al-Mā’idah: 51).
5:51  O you who believe! Do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies/guardians/protectors. Some of them are allies/gaurdians to each others. And whoever takes them as allies/gaurdians among you, then indeed, he is of them. Indeed, Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.
51. Yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanoo laa tattakhizul Yahooda wan nasaaraaa awliyaaa’; ba’duhum awliyaaa’u ba’d; wa mai yatawallahum minkum fa innahoo minhum; innal laaha laa yahdil qawmaz zaalimeen
5:52  ‏فَتَرَى ٱلَّذِينَ فِى قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌۭ يُسَرِعُونَ فِيهِمْ يَقُولُونَ نَخْشَىٰٓ أَن تُصِيبَنَا دَآئِرَةٌۭ ۚ فَعَسَى ٱللَّهُ أَن يَأْتِىَ بِٱلْفَتْحِ أَوْ أَمْرٍۢ مِّنْ عِندِهِۦ فَيُصْبِحُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَآ أَسَرُّوا۟ فِىٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ نَدِمِينَ
Fatará Al-Ladhīna Fī Qulūbihim Marađun Yusāri`ūna Fīhim Yaqūlūna Nakhshá ‘An Tuşībanā Dā’iratun ۚ Fa`asá Allāhu An Ya’tiya Bil-Fatĥi Aw ‘Amrin Min `Indihi Fayuşbiĥū `Alá Mā ‘Asarrū  ‘Anfusihim Nādimīna (Al-Mā’idah: 52).
5:52  And you will see those with a disease in their hearts, hastening/rushing to them saying, We fear that a misfortune may strike us/come upon us.” But perhaps that Allah will bring the victory or a decision from Him. Then they will become regretful for what they had concealed/hidden within themselves.
52. Fataral lazeena fee quloobihim maraduny yusaari’oona feehim yaqooloona nakhshaaa an tuseebanaa daaa’irah; fa’asallaahu ai yaatiya bilfathi aw amrim min ‘indihee fa yusbihoo ‘alaa maaa asarroo feee anfusihim naadimeen
5:53  ‏وَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَهَٓؤُلَآءِ ٱلَّذِينَ أَقْسَمُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَنِهِمْ ۙ إِنَّهُمْ لَمَعَكُمْ ۚ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَلُهُمْ فَأَصْبَحُوا۟ خَسِرِينَ
Wa Yaqūlu Al-Ladhīna ‘Āmanū ‘Ahā’uulā’ Al-LadhīnaAqsamū Billāhi JahdaAymānihim ۙ ‘Innahum Lama`akum ۚ Ĥabiţat ‘A`māluhum Fa’aşbaĥū Khāsirīna (Al-Mā’idah: 53).
5:53 And those who believe will say, “Are these those who swore their strongest oaths by Allah, that indeed they were with you?” Their deeds have became/come worthless, and they became/come the losers.
53. Wa yaqoolul lazeena aamanooo ahaaa’ulaaa’il lazeena aqsamoo billaahi jahda aimaanihim innahum lama’akum; habitat a’maaluhum fa asbahoo khaasireen
5:54  ‏يَٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَن يَرْتَدَّ مِنكُمْ عَن دِينِهِۦ فَسَوْفَ يَأْتِى ٱللَّهُ بِقَوْمٍۢ يُحِبُّهُمْ وَيُحِبُّونَهُۥٓ أَذِلَّةٍ عَلَى ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَعِزَّةٍ عَلَى ٱلْكَفِرِينَ يُجَهِدُونَ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا يَخَافُونَ لَوْمَةَ لَآئِمٍۢ ۚ ذَلِكَ فَضْلُ ٱللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ وَسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ
Yā ‘Ayyuhā Al-LadhīnaĀmanū Man Yartadda Minkum `An Dīnihi Fasawfa Ya’tī Al-Lahu Biqawmin Yuĥibbuhum Wa YuĥibbūnahuAdhillatin `Alá Al-Mu’uminīna A`izzatin `Alá Al-Kāfirīna Yujāhidūna Sabīli Allāhi Wa Lā Yakhāfūna Lawmata Lā’imin ۚ Dhālika Fađlu Allāhi Yu’utīhi Man Yashā’u ۚ Wa Allāhu Wāsi`un `Alīmun (Al-Mā’idah: 54).
5:54  O you who believe! Whoever among you turns back from his religion, then soon Allah will bring ˹in place of them˺ a people whom He loves and they love Him, who are˺ humble towards the believers and stern/strong/mighty/powerful/strict/firm towards the disbelievers; striving/struggling in the way of Allah and not fearing the blame of a critic/blammer. That is the Grace of Allah, He grants whom He wills. And Allah is All-Encompassing/Bountiful, All-Knowing.
54. Yaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanoo mai yartadda minkum ‘an deenihee fasawfa ya’tillaahu biqawminy yuhibbuhum wa yuhibboonahoo azillatin ‘alal mu’mineena a’izzatin ‘alal kaafireena yujaahidoona fee sabeelil laahi wa laa yakhaafoona lawmata laaa’im; zaalika fadlul laahi yu’teehi mai yashaaa’; wallaahu Waasi’un ‘Aleem
5:55  ‏إِنَّمَا وَلِيُّكُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُۥ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَهُمْ رَكِعُونَ
Innamā Wa Līyukumu Allāhu Wa Rasūluhu Wa Al-LadhīnaĀmanū Al-Ladhīna Yuqīmūna Aş-Şalāata Wa Yu’utūna Az-Zakāata Wa Hum Rāki`ūna (Al-Mā’idah: 55).
5:55  Your only ally/guardians/friends is/are Allah and His Messenger, and those who believe, and those who establish the prayer and give zalms taxes (i.e., zakah) and they are those who bow down.
55. Innamaa waliyyukumul laahu wa Rasooluhoo wal lazeena aamanul lazeena yuqeemoonas Salaata wa yu’toonaz Zakaata wa hum raaki’oon
5:56  ‏وَمَن يَتَوَلَّ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ فَإِنَّ حِزْبَ ٱللَّهِ هُمُ ٱلْغَلِبُونَ
Wa Man Yatawalla Allāha Wa Rasūlahu Wa Al-Ladhīna ‘Āmanū Fa’inna Ĥizba Allāhi Humu Al-Ghālibūna (Al-Mā’idah: 56).
5:56  And whoever allies themselves with Allah and His Messenger and those who believe, then indeed the party of Allah: they are the victorious.

5:56  And whoever takes as an ally Allah and His Messenger and those who believe, then indeed. (the) party (of) Allah they (are) the victorious.
56. Wa mai yatawallal laaha wa Rasoolahoo wallazeena aamanoo fa inna hizbal laahi humul ghaaliboon (section 8)
5:57  ‏يَٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَتَّخِذُوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ دِينَكُمْ هُزُوًۭا وَلَعِبًۭا مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَبَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ وَٱلْكُفَّارَ أَوْلِيَآءَ ۚ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
Yā ‘Ayyuhā Al-LadhīnaĀmanū Tattakhidhū Al-Ladhīna Attakhadhū Dīnakum Huzūan Wa La`ibāan Mina Al-LadhīnaŪtū Al-Kitāba Min Qablikum Wa Al-Kuffāra ‘Awliyā’a ۚ Wa Attaqū Allaha In Kuntum Mu’uminīna (Al-Mā’idah: 57).
5:57  O you who believe! Do not take those who take your religion in ridicule and fun from among those who are given the Book from before you and the disbelievers as allies. And fear Allah, if you are believers.
57. Yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanoo laa tattakhizul lazeenat takhazoo deenakum huzuwanw wa la’ibam minal lazeena ootul Kitaaba min qablikum walkuffaara awliyaaa’; wattaqul laaha in kuntum muu’mineen
5:58  ‏وَإِذَا نَادَيْتُمْ إِلَى ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ ٱتَّخَذُوهَا هُزُوًۭا وَلَعِبًۭا ۚ ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌۭ لَّا يَعْقِلُونَ
Wa ‘Idhā Nādaytum Ilá Aş-Şalāati Attakhadhūhā Huzūan Wa La`ibāan ۚ Dhālika Bi’annahum Qawmun  Ya`qilūna (Al-Mā’idah: 58).
5:58  And when you make the call to prayer, they take it in ridicule and fun. That is because they are a people who do not understand.
58. Wa izaa naadaitum ilas Salaatit takhazoohaa huzu wan’w wa la’ibaa; zaalika biannnahum qawmul laa ya’qiloon
5:59  ‏قُلْ يَٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَبِ هَلْ تَنقِمُونَ مِنَّآ إِلَّآ أَنْ ءَامَنَّا بِٱللَّهِ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْنَا وَمَآ أُنزِلَ مِن قَبْلُ وَأَنَّ أَكْثَرَكُمْ فَسِقُونَ
Qul Yā ‘Ahla Al-Kitābi Hal Tanqimūna Minnā Illā An Āmannā Billāhi Wa Mā ‘Unzila Ilaynā Wa Mā ‘Unzila Min Qablu Wa ‘AnnaAktharakum Fāsiqūna (Al-Mā’idah: 59).
5:59  Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “O People of the Book! Do you resent/dislike/hate of us except/only because that we believe in Allah and what has been revealed to us and what was revealed from before, and that/because/indeed most of you are defiantly disobedient.
59. Qul yaaa Ahlal Kitaabi hal tanqimoona minnaaa illaaa an aamannaa billaahi wa maaa unzila ilainaa wa maa unzila min qablu wa annna aksarakum faasiqoon
5:60  ‏قُلْ هَلْ أُنَبِّئُكُم بِشَرٍّۢ مِّن ذَلِكَ مَثُوبَةً عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ مَن لَّعَنَهُ ٱللَّهُ وَغَضِبَ عَلَيْهِ وَجَعَلَ مِنْهُمُ ٱلْقِرَدَةَ وَٱلْخَنَازِيرَ وَعَبَدَ ٱلطَّغُوتَ ۚ أُو۟لَٓئِكَ شَرٌّۭ مَّكَانًۭا وَأَضَلُّ عَن سَوَآءِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ
Qul Hal Unabbi’ukum Bisharrin Min Dhālika Mathūbatan `Inda Allāhi ۚ Man La`anahu Allāhu Wa Ghađiba `Alayhi Wa Ja`ala Minhumu Al-Qiradata Wa Al-Khanāzīra Wa `Abada Aţ-Ţāghūta ۚ ‘Ūlā’ika Sharrun Makānāan Wa ‘Ađallu `An Sawā’i As-Sabīli (Al-Mā’idah: 60).
5:60  Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Shall I inform you of ˹something/even/something much˺ worse than that/this as recompense/penalty/punishment from Allah? ˹it is that of˺ those Whom Allah has cursed and with him/whom He became angry and made out of them the apes and the swines, and those who worshipped the false deities/idols, those are worse in position and farthest/most astray from the even/Right way.”
60. Qul hal unabbi’ukum bisharrim min zaalika masoobatan ‘indal laah; malla’ana hul laahu wa ghadiba ‘alaihi wa ja’ala minhumul qiradata wal khanaazeera wa ‘abadat Taaghoot; ulaaa’ika sharrum makaananw wa adallu ‘an Sawaaa’is Sabeel

5. Surah Al-Maidah

PART 2 61 TO 120

5:61  ‏وَإِذَا جَآءُوكُمْ قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا وَقَد دَّخَلُوا۟ بِٱلْكُفْرِ وَهُمْ قَدْ خَرَجُوا۟ بِهِۦ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْتُمُونَ
Wa ‘Idhā Jā’ūkum Qālū Āmannā Wa Qad Dakhalū Bil-Kufri Wa Hum Qad Kharajū Bihi ۚ Wa AllāhuA`lamu Bimā Kānū Yaktumūna (Al-Mā’idah: 61).
5:61  And when they come to you they say,We believe.But they certainly entered with disbelief and they certainly went out with it (i.e., disbelief). And Allah knows best of what they were hiding.
61. Wa izaa jaaa’ookum qaalooo aamannaa wa qad dakhaloo bilkufri wa hum qad kharajoo bih; wallaahu a’lamu bimaa kaanoo yaktumoon
5:62  ‏وَتَرَىٰ كَثِيرًۭا مِّنْهُمْ يُسَرِعُونَ فِى ٱلْإِثْمِ وَٱلْعُدْوَنِ وَأَكْلِهِمُ ٱلسُّحْتَ ۚ لَبِئْسَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ
Wa Tará Kathīrāan Minhum Yusāri`ūna Fī Al-‘Ithmi Wa Al-`Udwāni Wa ‘Aklihimu As-Suĥta ۚ Labi’sa Kānū Ya`malūna (Al-Mā’idah: 62).
5:62  And you see many of them hastening/rushing into sin and transgression and eating/consuming the forbidden/unlawful. Surely evil is what they were doing.
62. Wa taraa kaseeram minhum yusaari’oona fil ismi wal’udwaani wa aklihimus suht; labi’sa maa kaanoo ya’maloon
5:63  ‏لَوْلَا يَنْهَىٰهُمُ ٱلرَّبَّنِيُّونَ وَٱلْأَحْبَارُ عَن قَوْلِهِمُ ٱلْإِثْمَ وَأَكْلِهِمُ ٱلسُّحْتَ ۚ لَبِئْسَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَصْنَعُونَ
Lawlā Yanhāhumu Ar-Rabbānīyūna Wa Al-‘Aĥbāru `An Qawlihimu Al-‘Ithma Wa ‘Aklihimu As-Suĥta ۚ Labi’sa Kānū Yaşna`ūna (Al-Mā’idah: 63).

5:63  Why do their Rabbis and religious scholars not forbid/stop them from their saying of the sinful words and their eating/consuming of the forbidden/unlawful? Surely, evil is what they used to do.

63. Law laa yanhaahumur rabbaaniyyoona wal ahbaaru ‘an qawlihimul ismaa wa aklihimus suht; labi’sa maa kaanoo yasna’oon
5:64  ‏وَقَالَتِ ٱلْيَهُودُ يَدُ ٱللَّهِ مَغْلُولَةٌ ۚ غُلَّتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَلُعِنُوا۟ بِمَا قَالُوا۟ ۘ بَلْ يَدَاهُ مَبْسُوطَتَانِ يُنفِقُ كَيْفَ يَشَآءُ ۚ وَلَيَزِيدَنَّ كَثِيرًۭا مِّنْهُم مَّآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ طُغْيَنًۭا وَكُفْرًۭا ۚ وَأَلْقَيْنَا بَيْنَهُمُ ٱلْعَدَوَةَ وَٱلْبَغْضَآءَ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَمَةِ ۚ كُلَّمَآ أَوْقَدُوا۟ نَارًۭا لِّلْحَرْبِ أَطْفَأَهَا ٱللَّهُ ۚ وَيَسْعَوْنَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَسَادًۭا ۚ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ
Wa Qālati Al-Yahūdu Yadu Allāhi Maghlūlatun ۚ Ghullat Aydīhim Wa Lu`inū Bimā Qālū ۘ Bal Yadāhu Mabsūţatāni Yunfiqu Kayfa Yashā’u ۚ Wa Layazīdanna Kathīrāan Minhum Mā Unzila Ilayka Min Rabbika Ţughyānāan Wa Kufrāan ۚ Wa ‘Alqaynā Baynahumu Al-`Adāwata Wa Al-Baghđā’aIlá Yawmi ۚ Al-Qiyāmati Kullamā Awqadū Nārāan Lilĥarbi Aţfa’ahā ۚ Al-Lahu Wa Yas`awna Fī Al-‘Arđi ۚ Fasādāan Wa Allāhu Yuĥibbu Al-Mufsidīna (Al-Mā’idah: 64).
5:64  And the Jews said, “The Hand of Allah is chained /tied /tied up /tight-fisted.” Chained are their hands, and they have been cursed for what they said. Nay, His Hands are stretched out; He spends how He wills. And surely increase many of them, what has been revealed to you from your Lord, (in) rebellion and disbelief. And We have cast/ placed/ put among them enmity and hatred till the Day of the Resurrection. Every time they kindled the fire of war, Allah extinguished it/ puts it out. And they strive to spread corruption in the earth. And Allah does not love the corrupters.

And what has been revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ from your Lord will surely increase many of them, in rebellion/ wickedness and disbelief.

And what has been revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ from your Lord will only cause many of them to surely increase, in rebellion/ wickedness and disbelief.
64. Wa qaalatil Yahoodu Yadullaahi maghloolah; ghullat aideehim wa lu’inoo bimaa qaaloo; bal yadaahu mabsoo tataani yunfiqu kaifa yashaaa’; wa la yazeedanna kaseeramm minhum maaa unzila ilaika mir Rabbika tughyaananw wa kufraa; wa alqainaa bainahumul ‘adaawata wal baghdaaa a’ ilaa Yawmil Qiyaamah; kullamaaa awqadoo naaral lilharbi at fa-ahal laah; wa yas’awna fil ardi fasaadaa; wal laahu laa yuhibbul mufsideen
5:65  ‏وَلَوْ أَنَّ أَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَبِ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَٱتَّقَوْا۟ لَكَفَّرْنَا عَنْهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ وَلَأَدْخَلْنَهُمْ جَنَّتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ
Wa LawAnnaAhla Al-Kitābi Āmanū Wa Attaqawā Lakaffarnā `Anhum Sayyi’ātihim Wa La’adkhalnāhum Jannāti An-Na`īmi (Al-Mā’idah: 65).

5:65  And if the People of the Book only believed and feared ˹Allah˺, surely We would have removed from them their evil deeds and surely We would have admitted them into the Gardens of Bliss.
5:65  And only if (the) People (of) the Book (had) believed and feared (Allah), surely We (would have) removed from them their evil (deeds) and surely We (would have) admitted them (to) Gardens (of) Bliss.
65. Wa law anna Ahlal Kitaabi aamanoo wattaqaw lakaffarnaa ‘anhum saiyiaatihim wa la adkhalnaahu Jannaatin Na’eem
5:66  ‏وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ أَقَامُوا۟ ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَ وَٱلْإِنجِيلَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِم مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ لَأَكَلُوا۟ مِن فَوْقِهِمْ وَمِن تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِهِم ۚ مِّنْهُمْ أُمَّةٌۭ مُّقْتَصِدَةٌۭ ۖ وَكَثِيرٌۭ مِّنْهُمْ سَآءَ مَا يَعْمَلُونَ
Wa Law Annahum Aqāmū At-Tawrāata Wa Al-‘Injīla Wa Mā ‘Unzila Ilayhim Min Rabbihim La’akalū Min Fawqihim Wa Min Taĥti Arjulihim ۚ Minhum Ummatun Muqtaşidatun ۖ Wa Kathīrun Minhum Sā’a Ya`malūna (Al-Mā’idah: 66).
5:66  And if only they had stood firmly by the Torah and the Gospel and what has been revealed to them from their Lord, they would have surely eaten (i.e., consumed) from above them and from beneath their feet. Among them is a moderate community, but many of themevil is what they do.
66. Wa law annahum aqaamut Tawraata wal Injeela wa maaa unzila ilaihim mir Rabbihim la akaloo min fawqihim wa min tahti arjulihim; minhum ummatum muqta sidatunw wa kaseerum minhum saaa’a maa ya’maloon (section 9)
5:67  ‏ يَٓأَيُّهَا ٱلرَّسُولُ بَلِّغْ مَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ ۖ وَإِن لَّمْ تَفْعَلْ فَمَا بَلَّغْتَ رِسَالَتَهُۥ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْصِمُكَ مِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلْكَفِرِينَ
Yā ‘Ayyuhā Ar-Rasūlu Balligh Mā Unzila Ilayka Min Rabbika ۖ Wa ‘In Lam Taf`al Famā Ballaghta Risālatahu ۚ Wa Allāhu Ya`şimuka Mina An-Nāsi ۗ ‘Inna Allāha Yahdī Al-Qawma Al-Kāfirīna (Al-Mā’idah: 67).
5:67  O Messenger! Convey what has been revealed to you from your Lord, and if you do not, then you have not conveyed/ communicated/ delivered His Message. And Allah will protect you from the people. Indeed, Allah does not guide the disbelieving people.
67. Yaaa aiyuhar Rasoolu balligh maaa unzila ilaika mir Rabbika wa il lam taf’al famaaa ballaghta Risaalatah; wallaahu ya’simuka minan naas; innal laaha laa yahdil qawmal kaafireen
5:68  ‏قُلْ يَٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَبِ لَسْتُمْ عَلَىٰ شَىْءٍ حَتَّىٰ تُقِيمُوا۟ ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَ وَٱلْإِنجِيلَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ ۗ وَلَيَزِيدَنَّ كَثِيرًۭا مِّنْهُم مَّآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ طُغْيَنًۭا وَكُفْرًۭا ۖ فَلَا تَأْسَ عَلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْكَفِرِينَ
Qul Yā ‘Ahla Al-Kitābi Lastum `Alá Shay’in Ĥattá Tuqīmū At-Tawrāata Wa Al-‘Injīla Wa Mā ‘Unzila Ilaykum Min Rabbikum ۗ Wa Layazīdanna Kathīrāan Minhum Mā Unzila Ilayka Min Rabbika Ţughyānāan Wa Kufrāan ۖ Falā Ta’sa `Alá Al-Qawmi Al-Kāfirīna (Al-Mā’idah: 68).
5:68  Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “O People of the Book! You are not on anything until you stand firmly by the Torah and the Gospel and what has been revealed to you from your Lord. And what has been revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ from your Lord will surely increase many of them in rebellion/ wickedness and disbelief. So do not grieve over the disbelieving people.

68. Qul yaaa Ahlal Kitaabi lastum ‘alaa shai’in hattaa tuqeemut Tawraata wal Injeela wa maaa unzila ilaikum mir Rabbikum; wa layazeedanna kaseeram minhum maa unzila ilaika mir Rabbika tugh yaananw wa kufran falaa taasa ‘alal qawmil kaafireen
5:69  ‏إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَٱلَّذِينَ هَادُوا۟ وَٱلصَّبِـُٔونَ وَٱلنَّصَرَىٰ مَنْ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْءَاخِرِ وَعَمِلَ صَلِحًۭا فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ
Inna Al-LadhīnaĀmanū Wa Al-Ladhīna Hādū Wa Aş-Şābi’ūna Wa An-Naşārá Man Āmana Billāhi Wa Al-Yawmi Al-‘Ākhiri Wa `Amila Şāliĥāan Falā Khawfun `Alayhim Wa Lā Hum Yaĥzanūna (Al-Mā’idah: 69).
5:69  Indeed, those who believe/d and those who became Jews and the Sabians and the Christians, whoever believe/d in Allah and the Day the Last and did/do good deeds, 

  • then there is no fear on them and nor will they grieve.
  • then on them shall be no fear and nor will they grieve.
  • then no fear shall be on them and nor will they grieve.

69. Innal lazeena aamanoo wallazeena haadoo was saabi’oona wan Nasaaraa man aamana billaahi wal yawmil Aakhiri wa ‘amila saalihan falaa khawfun ‘alaihim wa laa hum yahzanoon
5:70  ‏لَقَدْ أَخَذْنَا مِيثَقَ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٓءِيلَ وَأَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَيْهِمْ رُسُلًۭا ۖ كُلَّمَا جَآءَهُمْ رَسُولٌۢ بِمَا لَا تَهْوَىٰٓ أَنفُسُهُمْ فَرِيقًۭا كَذَّبُوا۟ وَفَرِيقًۭا يَقْتُلُونَ
Laqad Akhadhnā Mīthāqa Banī ‘Isrā’īla Wa ‘Arsalnā ‘Ilayhim Rusulāan ۖ Kullamā Jā’ahum Rasūlun Bimā Tahwá Anfusuhum Farīqāan Kadhdhabū Wa Farīqāan Yaqtulūna (Al-Mā’idah: 70).
5:70  Certainly We took a Covenant from the Children of Israel and We sent to them Messengers. Whenever any Messenger came to them with what their souls did not desired, a group ˹of messengers˺ they denied and a/ another group they kill/ed.
70. Laqad akhaznaa meesaaqa Banee Israaa’eela wa arsalnaaa ilaihim Rusulan kullamaa jaaa’ahum Rasoolum bimaa laa tahwaaa anfusuhum fareeqan kazzaboo wa fareeqany yaqtuloon
5:71  ‏وَحَسِبُوٓا۟ أَلَّا تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌۭ فَعَمُوا۟ وَصَمُّوا۟ ثُمَّ تَابَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ ثُمَّ عَمُوا۟ وَصَمُّوا۟ كَثِيرٌۭ مِّنْهُمْ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ بَصِيرٌۢ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ
Wa Ĥasibū ‘Allā Takūna Fitnatun Fa`amū Wa Şammū Thumma Tāba Allāhu `Alayhim Thumma `Amū Wa Şammū Kathīrun Minhum ۚ Wa Allāhu Başīrun Bimā Ya`malūna (Al-Mā’idah: 71).
5:71  And they thought that there will be no trial/ punishment/ consequences ˹for them˺, so they became blind and they became deaf. Then Allah turned to them ˹in forgiveness˺, then/but /yet again many of them, they became blind and they became deaf. And Allah is All-Seeing of what they do.

5:71  And they thought that not will be (for them) a trial, so they came blind and they became deaf. Then turned Allah to them, then (again) they became blind and they became deaf, many of them. And Allah (is) All-Seer of what they do.
71. Wa hasibooo allaa takoona fitnatun fa’amoo wa sammoo summa taabal laahu ‘alaihim summa ‘amoo wa sammoo kaseerum minhum; wallaahu baseerum bimaa ya’maloon
5:72  ‏لَقَدْ كَفَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْمَسِيحُ ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ ۖ وَقَالَ ٱلْمَسِيحُ يَبَنِىٓ إِسْرَٓءِيلَ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ رَبِّى وَرَبَّكُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ مَن يُشْرِكْ بِٱللَّهِ فَقَدْ حَرَّمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ ٱلْجَنَّةَ وَمَأْوَىٰهُ ٱلنَّارُ ۖ وَمَا لِلظَّلِمِينَ مِنْ أَنصَارٍۢ
Laqad Kafara Al-Ladhīna Qālū ‘Inna Allāha Huwa Al-Masīĥu Abnu Maryama ۖ Wa Qāla Al-Masīĥu Yā Banī ‘Isrā’īla A`budū Allaha Rabbī ۖ Wa Rabbakum ‘Innahu Man Yushrik Billāhi Faqad Ĥarrama Allāhu `Alayhi Al-Jannata Wa Ma’wāhu ۖ An-Nāru Wa Mā Lilžžālimīna Min Anşārin (Al-Mā’idah: 72).
5:72  Certainly those who disbelieved say,Indeed Allah, He is the Messiah, son of Maryam.” While the Messiah himself said,O Children of Israel! Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.” Indeed, he who associates partners with Allah, then surely Allah has forbidden Paradise for him and his home will be the Fire. And there will not be any helpers for the wrongdoers.
72. Laqad kafaral lazeena qaalooo innal laaha Huwal maseehub nu Maryama wa qaalal Maseehu yaa Baneee Israaa’eela u’budul laaha Rabbee wa Rabbakum innnahoo many-yushrik billaahi faqad harramal laahu ‘alaihil jannata wa maa waahun Naaru wa maa lizzaalimeena min ansaar
5:73  ‏لَّقَدْ كَفَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ ثَالِثُ ثَلَثَةٍۢ ۘ وَمَا مِنْ إِلَهٍ إِلَّآ إِلَهٌۭ وَحِدٌۭ ۚ وَإِن لَّمْ يَنتَهُوا۟ عَمَّا يَقُولُونَ لَيَمَسَّنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
Laqad Kafara Al-Ladhīna Qālū ‘Inna Allāha Thālithu Thalāthatin ۘ Wa Mā Min ‘Ilahin ‘Illā ‘Ilahun Wāĥidun ۚ Wa ‘In Lam Yantahū `Ammā Yaqūlūna Layamassanna Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Minhum `Adhābun ‘Alīmun (Al-Mā’idah: 73).
5:73  Certainly those who disbelieved say, “Indeed Allah is the third of three (i.e., trinity). And there is none among god except the One God. And if they do not desist/ stop from what

they are saying, those who disbelieve among them will surely afflict/ surely will be afflicted with a punishment painful.

a punishment painful will surely afflict those who disbelieve among them.

and except ALLAH the one there is no god

and there is none worthy of worship except Allah, the One

73. laqad kafaral lazeena qaalooo innal laaha saalisu salaasah; wa maa min ilaahin illaaa Ilaahunw Waahid; wa illam yantahoo ‘ammaa yaqooloona layamas sannal lazeena kafaroo minhum ‘azaabun aleem
5:74  ‏أَفَلَا يَتُوبُونَ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَهُۥ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ
Afalā YatūbūnaIlá Allāhi Wa Yastaghfirūnahu ۚ Wa Allāhu Ghafūrun Raĥīmun (Al-Mā’idah: 74).
5:74  So will they not turn in repentance to Allah and seek His forgiveness? And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
74. Afalaa yatooboona ilal laahi wa yastaghfiroonah; wallaahu Ghafoorur Raheem
5:75  ‏مَّا ٱلْمَسِيحُ ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ إِلَّا رَسُولٌۭ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِ ٱلرُّسُلُ وَأُمُّهُۥ صِدِّيقَةٌۭ ۖ كَانَا يَأْكُلَانِ ٱلطَّعَامَ ۗ ٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ نُبَيِّنُ لَهُمُ ٱلْءَايَتِ ثُمَّ ٱنظُرْ أَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَ
Mā Al-Masīĥu Abnu Maryama ‘Illā Rasūlun Qad Khalat Min Qablihi Ar-Rusulu Wa ‘Ummuhu Şiddīqatun ۖ Kānā Ya’kulāni Aţ-Ţa`āma ۗ Anžur Kayfa Nubayyinu Lahumu Al-‘Āyāti Thumma Anžur ‘Anná Yu’ufakūna (Al-Mā’idah: 75).

5:75  The Messiah, son of Mary was nothing/ no other/ no more/ not but a Messenger, certainly ˹other˺ Messengers passed away from before him (i.e., Jesus). And his mother (i.e. Mary) was truthful.

They both (i.e., Jesus and Mary) used to eat food (i.e., like human being). See how We make the Signs clear to them, then see how they are deluded ˹from the truth˺.
5:75  Not (is) the Messiah, son (of) Maryam but a Messenger, certainly had passed from before him the Messengers. And his mother (was) truthful. They both used to eat [the] food. See how We make clear to them the Signs, then see how they are deluded.
75. Mal Maseehub nu Maryama illaa Rasoolun qad khalat min qablihir Rusulu wa ummuhoo siddeeqatun kaanaa yaa kulaanit ta’aam; unzur kaifa nubaiyinu lahumul Aayaati summan zur annaa yu’fakoon
5:76  ‏قُلْ أَتَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ ضَرًّۭا وَلَا نَفْعًۭا ۚ وَٱللَّهُ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
Qul Ata`budūna Min Dūni Allāhi Yamliku Lakum Đarrāan Wa Lā Naf`āan ۚ Wa Allāhu Huwa As-Samī`u Al-`Alīmu (Al-Mā’idah: 76).
5:76  Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ Do you/ How can you worship from besides Allah, that what/which has no power to cause you any harm and nor any benefit, while Allah, He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing?

that which neither has power to cause you any harm and nor any benefit,

what not has power to (cause) you any harm and not any benefit,
76. Qul ata’budoona min doonil laahi maa laa yamliku lakum darranw wa laa naf’aa; wallaahu Huwas Samee’ul ‘Aleem
5:77  ‏قُلْ يَٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَبِ لَا تَغْلُوا۟ فِى دِينِكُمْ غَيْرَ ٱلْحَقِّ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوٓا۟ أَهْوَآءَ قَوْمٍۢ قَدْ ضَلُّوا۟ مِن قَبْلُ وَأَضَلُّوا۟ كَثِيرًۭا وَضَلُّوا۟ عَن سَوَآءِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ
Qul Yā ‘Ahla Al-Kitābi Taghlū Dīnikum Ghayra Al-Ĥaqqi Wa Lā Tattabi`ū ‘Ahwā’a Qawmin Qad Đallū Min Qablu Wa ‘Ađallū Kathīrāan Wa Đallū `An Sawā’i As-Sabīli (Al-Mā’idah: 77).
5:77  Say, “O People of the Book! Do not exceed limits/ go extremes in your religion other than/ beyond the truth, and do not follow the vain desires of a people/ people who certainly went astray from before ˹you˺, and they misled many, and they have ˹themselves˺ strayed/ misled from the right way.
77. Qul yaaa Ahlal Kitaabi laa taghloo fee deenikum ghairal haqqi wa laa tattabi’ooo ahwaaa’a qawmin qad dalloo min qablu wa adalloo kaseeranw wa dalloo ‘an Sawaaa’is Sabeel (section 10)
5:78  ‏لُعِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنۢ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٓءِيلَ عَلَىٰ لِسَانِ دَاوُۥدَ وَعِيسَى ٱبْنِ مَرْيَمَ ۚ ذَلِكَ بِمَا عَصَوا۟ وَّكَانُوا۟ يَعْتَدُونَ
Lu`ina Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Min Banī ‘Isrā’īla `Alá Lisāni Dāwūda Wa `Īsá Abni Maryama ۚ Dhālika Bimā `Aşawā Wa Kānū Ya`tadūna (Al-Mā’idah: 78).
5:78  Those who disbelieved from the Children of Israel were cursed by the tongue of David and Jesus, son of Mary, that was because they disobeyed and they were transgressing (i.e., exceeding limits).
78. Lu’inal lazeena kafaroo mim Baneee israaa’eela ‘alaa lisaani Daawooda wa ‘Eesab ni Maryam; zaalika bimaa ‘asaw wa kaanoo ya’tadoon
5:79  ‏كَانُوا۟ لَا يَتَنَاهَوْنَ عَن مُّنكَرٍۢ فَعَلُوهُ ۚ لَبِئْسَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْعَلُونَ
Kānū Yatanāhawna `An Munkarin Fa`alūhu ۚ Labi’sa Kānū Yaf`alūna (Al-Mā’idah: 79).

5:79  They did/ were not forbid/ forbidding (i.e., prevent) each other from the wrongdoing/ evil they did. Surely, evil was what they were doing.

79. Kaanoo laa yatanaahawna ‘am munkarin fa’alooh; labi’sa maa kaanoo yafa’loon


5:80  ‏تَرَىٰ كَثِيرًۭا مِّنْهُمْ يَتَوَلَّوْنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ۚ لَبِئْسَ مَا قَدَّمَتْ لَهُمْ أَنفُسُهُمْ أَن سَخِطَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَفِى ٱلْعَذَابِ هُمْ خَلِدُونَ
Tará Kathīrāan Minhum Yatawallawna Al-Ladhīna Kafarū ۚ Labi’sa Mā Qaddamat Lahum Anfusuhum An Sakhiţa Allāhu `Alayhim Wa Fī Al-`Adhābi Hum Khālidūna (Al-Mā’idah: 80).
5:80  You see many of them taking those who disbelieve/d as allies/ protectors/ helpers/ guardians. Surely evil is what their souls have sent forth for them,

in that, Allah became angry with them and in the punishment they will stay forever.
80. Taraa kaseeram minhum yatawallawnal lazeena kafaroo; labi’sa maa qaddamat lahum anfusuhum an sakhital laahu ‘alaihim wa fil ‘azaabi hum khaalidoon
5:81  ‏وَلَوْ كَانُوا۟ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلنَّبِىِّ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مَا ٱتَّخَذُوهُمْ أَوْلِيَآءَ وَلَكِنَّ كَثِيرًۭا مِّنْهُمْ فَسِقُونَ
Wa Law Kānū Yu’uminūna Billāhi Wa An-Nabīyi Wa Mā ‘UnzilaIlayhi  Attakhadhūhum ‘Awliyā’a Wa Lakinna Kathīrāan Minhum Fāsiqūna (Al-Mā’idah: 81).
5:81  And if they had believed in Allah and the Prophet and what has been revealed to him, they would have not taken them as allies/ protectors/ helpers/ guardians; but many/ most of them are defiantly disobedient/ rebellious.
81. Wa law kaanoo yu’minoona billaahi wan nabiyyi wa maaa unzila ilaihi mattakhazoohum awliyaaa’a wa laakinna kaseeram minhum faasiqoon (End Juz 6)
5:82  ‏ لَتَجِدَنَّ أَشَدَّ ٱلنَّاسِ عَدَوَةًۭ لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱلْيَهُودَ وَٱلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا۟ ۖ وَلَتَجِدَنَّ أَقْرَبَهُم مَّوَدَّةًۭ لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا نَصَرَىٰ ۚ ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّ مِنْهُمْ قِسِّيسِينَ وَرُهْبَانًۭا وَأَنَّهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
Latajidanna Ashadda An-Nāsi `Adāwatan Lilladhīna Āmanū Al-Yahūda Wa Al-LadhīnaAshrakū ۖ Wa LatajidannaAqrabahum Mawaddatan Lilladhīna Āmanū Al-Ladhīna Qālū Innā Naşārá ۚ Dhālika Bi’anna Minhum Qissīsīna Wa Ruhbānāan Wa ‘Annahum  Yastakbirūna (Al-Mā’idah: 82).
5:82  Surely you will find the strongest people in enmity to those who believe to be/ are the Jews and those who are polytheists; and surely you will find nearest of them in affection

to those who believe, are those who say, “We are Christians.” That is because among them are priests and monks, and that/ because they are not arrogant.
82. Latajidanna ashad dan naasi ‘adaawatal lillazeena aamanul Yahooda wallazeena ashrakoo wa latajidanna aqrabahum mawaddatal lil lazeena aamanul lazeena qaalooo innaa Nasaaraa; zaalika bi anna minhum qiseeseena wa ruhbaananw wa annahum laa yastakbiroon
5:83  ‏وَإِذَا سَمِعُوا۟ مَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَى ٱلرَّسُولِ تَرَىٰٓ أَعْيُنَهُمْ تَفِيضُ مِنَ ٱلدَّمْعِ مِمَّا عَرَفُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ ۖ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَآ ءَامَنَّا فَٱكْتُبْنَا مَعَ ٱلشَّهِدِينَ
Wa ‘Idhā Sami`ū Mā UnzilaIlá Ar-Rasūli Tará ‘A`yunahum Tafīđu Mina Ad-Dam`i Mimmā `Arafū Mina Al-Ĥaqqi ۖ Yaqūlūna Rabbanā ‘Āmannā Fāktubnā Ma`a Ash-Shāhidīna (Al-Mā’idah: 83).
5:83  And when they listen to what has been revealed to the Messenger, you see their eyes overflowing with tears, for what/ because they recognize/d of the truth. They say, “Our Lord, we have believe/d so write/ record (i.e., count) us with/ among the witnesses.
83. Wa izaa sami’oo maaa unzila ilar Rasooli taraaa a’yunahum tafeedu minad dam’i mimmmaa ‘arafoo minalhaqq; yaqooloona Rabbanaaa aamannaa faktubnaa ma’ash shaahideen
5:84  ‏وَمَا لَنَا لَا نُؤْمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ وَمَا جَآءَنَا مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ وَنَطْمَعُ أَن يُدْخِلَنَا رَبُّنَا مَعَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلصَّلِحِينَ
Wa Mā Lanā Nu’uminu Billāhi Wa Mā Jā’anā Mina Al-Ĥaqqi Wa Naţma`uAn Yudkhilanā Rabbunā Ma`a Al-Qawmi Aş-Şāliĥīna (Al-Mā’idah: 84).

:84  And what ˹is there˺ for us/ we have that we should not believe in Allah and what/ and that which/ and whatever has come/ came to us from the truth? And we hope that our Lord will admit us ˹to paradise˺ with/ among/ along the righteous people.”

5:84  And what ˹reason do˺ for us/ we have that we should not believe in Allah and what/ and that which/ and whatever has come/ came to us from the truth? And we hope that our Lord will admit us ˹to paradise˺ with/ among/ along the righteous people.”
84. Wa maa lanaa laa nu’minu billaahi wa maa jaaa’anaa minal haqqi wa natma’u ai yudkhilanaa Rabbunaa ma’al qawmis saaliheen
5:85  ‏فَأَثَبَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِمَا قَالُوا۟ جَنَّتٍۢ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَرُ خَلِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ وَذَلِكَ جَزَآءُ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
Fa’athābahumu Allāhu Bimā Qālū Jannātin Tajrī Min Taĥtihā Al-‘Anhāru Khālidīna Fīhā ۚ Wa Dhalika Jazā’u Al-Muĥsinīna (Al-Mā’idah: 85).
5:85  So Allah rewarded them for what they said with Gardens from underneath which the rivers flows, to stay forever in it. And that is the reward of the good-doers.
85. Fa asaabahumul laahu bimaa qaaloo Jannnaatin tajree min tahtihal anhaaru khaalideena feehaa; wa zaalika jazaaa’ul muhsineen
5:86  ‏وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَتِنَآ أُو۟لَٓئِكَ أَصْحَبُ ٱلْجَحِيمِ
Wa Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Wa Kadhdhabū Bi’āyātinā ‘Ūlā’ika ‘Aşĥābu Al-Jaĥīmi (Al-Mā’idah: 86).
5:86  And those who disbelieve/ d and denied/ deny Our Signs, those are the companions of the Hellfire.
86. Wallazeena kafaroo wa kazzaboo bi Aayaatinaaa ulaaa’ika Ashaabul Jaheem (section 11)
5:87  ‏يَٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تُحَرِّمُوا۟ طَيِّبَتِ مَآ أَحَلَّ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمْ وَلَا تَعْتَدُوٓا۟ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُعْتَدِينَ
Yā ‘Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna ‘Āmanū Tuĥarrimū Ţayyibāti Mā Aĥalla Allāhu Lakum Wa Lā Ta`tadū ۚ ‘Inna Allāha Yuĥibbu Al-Mu`tadīna (Al-Mā’idah: 87).
5:87  O you who believe! Do not make unlawful/ forbid the good things what/ which Allah has made lawful for you, and do not transgress. Indeed, Allah does not love the transgressors.
87. Yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanoo laa tuharrimoo taiyibaati maaa ahallal laahu lakum wa laa ta’tadooo; innal laaha laa yuhibbul mu’tadeen
5:88  ‏وَكُلُوا۟ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ حَلَلًۭا طَيِّبًۭا ۚ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنتُم بِهِۦ مُؤْمِنُونَ
Wa Kulū Mimmā Razaqakumu Allāhu Ĥalālāan Ţayyibāan ۚ Wa Attaqū Allaha Al-Ladhī Antum Bihi Mu’uminūna (Al-Mā’idah: 88).
5:88  And eat from what lawful good things Allah has provided you. And fear Allah, the one in whom you are believers.

88. Wa kuloo mimmaa razaqakumul laahu halaalan taiyibaa; wattaqul laahallazeee antum bihee mu’minoon
5:89  ‏لَا يُؤَاخِذُكُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِٱللَّغْوِ فِىٓ أَيْمَنِكُمْ وَلَكِن يُؤَاخِذُكُم بِمَا عَقَّدتُّمُ ٱلْأَيْمَنَ ۖ فَكَفَّرَتُهُۥٓ إِطْعَامُ عَشَرَةِ مَسَكِينَ مِنْ أَوْسَطِ مَا تُطْعِمُونَ أَهْلِيكُمْ أَوْ كِسْوَتُهُمْ أَوْ تَحْرِيرُ رَقَبَةٍۢ ۖ فَمَن لَّمْ يَجِدْ فَصِيَامُ ثَلَثَةِ أَيَّامٍۢ ۚ ذَلِكَ كَفَّرَةُ أَيْمَنِكُمْ إِذَا حَلَفْتُمْ ۚ وَٱحْفَظُوٓا۟ أَيْمَنَكُمْ ۚ كَذَلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمْ ءَايَتِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
Yu’uākhidhukumu Allāhu Bil-Laghwi Fī Aymānikum Wa Lakin Yu’uākhidhukum Bimā `Aqqadtumu Al-‘Īmāna ۖ Fakaffāratuhu ‘Iţ`āmu `Asharati Masākīna MinAwsaţi Tuţ`imūnaAhlīkum Aw Kiswatuhum Aw Taĥrīru Raqabatin ۖ Faman Lam Yajid Faşiyāmu Thalāthati Ayyāmin ۚ Dhālika KaffāratuAymānikum ‘Idhā Ĥalaftum ۚ Wa Aĥfažū ‘Aymānakum ۚ Kadhālika Yubayyinu Allāhu Lakum Āyātihi La`allakum Tashkurūna (Al-Mā’idah: 89).
5:89  Allah will not call you to account for what is unintentional/ for the thoughtless utterances in your oaths but He will call you to account for what you contracted/ intended of the oath. So its expiation/ penalty/ compensation is feeding of ten needy people of an average of what you feed your families or clothing them or freeing a slave/ neck. But whoever does not find that, then fasting for three days. That is the expiation/ penalty/ compensation of your oaths when you have sworn. And guard your oaths. Thus Allah makes His Verses clear to you so that you may be grateful.
89. Laa yu’aakhizukumul laahu billaghwi feee aimaanikum wa laakiny yu’aakhizukumul bimaa ‘aqqattumul aimaana a kaffaara tuhooo it’aamu ‘asharati masaakeena min awsati maa tut’imoona ahleekum aw kiswatuhum aw tahreeru raqabatin famallam yajid fa Siyaamu salaasati aiyaam; zaalika kaffaaratu aimaanikum izaa halaftum; wahfazooo aimaanakum; kazaalika yubaiyinul laahu lakum Aayaatihee la’allakum tashkuroon
5:90  ‏يَٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَا ٱلْخَمْرُ وَٱلْمَيْسِرُ وَٱلْأَنصَابُ وَٱلْأَزْلَمُ رِجْسٌۭ مِّنْ عَمَلِ ٱلشَّيْطَنِ فَٱجْتَنِبُوهُ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ
Yā ‘Ayyuhā Al-LadhīnaĀmanū Innamā Al-Khamru Wa Al-Maysiru Wa Al-‘Anşābu Wa Al-‘Azlāmu Rijsun Min `Amali Ash-Shayţāni Fājtanibūhu La`allakum Tufliĥūna (Al-Mā’idah: 90).
5:90  O you who believe! Verily the intoxicants and the games of chance/ gambling and altars (i.e., idols) and divining arrows (i.e., drawing lots for decision) are an abomination/ evil/ filth from the work of the Satan, so avoid it so that you may be successful.
90. Yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanooo innamal khamru walmaisiru wal ansaabu wal azlaamu rijsum min ‘amalish shaitaani fajtaniboohu la’al lakum tuflihoon
5:91  ‏إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ ٱلشَّيْطَنُ أَن يُوقِعَ بَيْنَكُمُ ٱلْعَدَوَةَ وَٱلْبَغْضَآءَ فِى ٱلْخَمْرِ وَٱلْمَيْسِرِ وَيَصُدَّكُمْ عَن ذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ وَعَنِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ ۖ فَهَلْ أَنتُم مُّنتَهُونَ
Innamā Yurīdu Ash-ShayţānuAn Yūqi`a Baynakumu Al-`Adāwata Wa Al-Baghđā’a Fī Al-Khamri Wa Al-Maysiri Wa Yaşuddakum `An Dhikri Allāhi Wa `Ani ۖ Aş-Şalāati Fahal Antum Muntahūna (Al-Mā’idah: 91).
5:91  The Shaitaan only intends to cause the enmity/ hostility and the hatred between you through intoxicants and gambling, and hinders/ prevents you from the remembrance of Allah and from the prayer. So will you be the ones who refrain (i.e., stop/s)?
91. Innamaa yureedush Shaitaanu ai yooqi’a bainakumul ‘adaawata wal baghdaaa’a fil khamri wal maisiri wa yasuddakum ‘an zikril laahi wa ‘anis Salaati fahal antum muntahoon
5:92  ‏وَأَطِيعُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا۟ ٱلرَّسُولَ وَٱحْذَرُوا۟ ۚ فَإِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّمَا عَلَىٰ رَسُولِنَا ٱلْبَلَغُ ٱلْمُبِينُ
Wa ‘Aţī`ū Allaha Wa ‘Aţī`ū Ar-Rasūla Wa Aĥdharū ۚ Fa’in Tawallaytum Fā`lamū ‘Annamā `Alá Rasūlinā Al-Balāghu Al-Mubīnu (Al-Mā’idah: 92).
5:92  And obey Allah and obey the Messenger and beware! And if you turn away, then know that upon Our Messenger is only to convey/ deliver ˹the message˺ clearly.
92. Wa atee’ul laaha wa atee’ur Rasoola wahzaroo; fa in tawal laitum fa’lamooo annamaa ‘alaa Rasoolinal balaaghul mubeen

5:93  ‏لَيْسَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّلِحَتِ جُنَاحٌۭ فِيمَا طَعِمُوٓا۟ إِذَا مَا ٱتَّقَوا۟ وَّءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّلِحَتِ ثُمَّ ٱتَّقَوا۟ وَّءَامَنُوا۟ ثُمَّ ٱتَّقَوا۟ وَّأَحْسَنُوا۟ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
Laysa `Alá Al-LadhīnaĀmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Junāĥun Fīmā Ţa`imū ‘Idhā  Attaqawā Wa ‘Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Thumma Attaqawā Wa ‘Āmanū Thumma Attaqawā Wa ‘Aĥsanū ۗ Wa Allāhu Yuĥibbu Al-Muĥsinīna (Al-Mā’idah: 93).

5:93 There is no any sin/ blame on those who believe and do the good deeds for what they ate/ consumed ˹before the prohibition˺, when that they fear ˹Allah˺ and they believe and they do the good deeds, then again they fear ˹Allah˺ and believe, then again they fear ˹Allah˺ and do good, and Allah loves the good-doers.

5:93  Not on those who believe and do the good deeds any sin for what they ate when that they fear (Allah) and they believe and they do [the] good deeds then they fear (Allah) and believe, then they fear (Allah) and do good, and Allah loves the good-doers.
93. Laisa ‘alal lazeena aamanoo wa ‘amilus saalihaati junaahun feemaa ta’imooo izaa mat taqaw wa aamanoo wa ‘amilus saalihaati summat taqaw wa aamanoo summat taqaw wa ahsanoo; wallaahu yuhibbul muhsineen
5:94  ‏يَٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَيَبْلُوَنَّكُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِشَىْءٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلصَّيْدِ تَنَالُهُۥٓ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَرِمَاحُكُمْ لِيَعْلَمَ ٱللَّهُ مَن يَخَافُهُۥ بِٱلْغَيْبِ ۚ فَمَنِ ٱعْتَدَىٰ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَلَهُۥ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۭ
Yā ‘Ayyuhā Al-LadhīnaĀmanū Layabluwannakumu Allāhu Bishay’in Mina Aş-Şaydi Tanāluhu Aydīkum Wa Rimāĥukum Liya`lama Allāhu Man Yakhāfuhu Bil-Ghaybi ۚ Famani A`tadá Ba`da Dhālika Falahu `Adhābun Alīmun (Al-Mā’idah: 94).
5:94  O you who believe! Allah will surely test you with something of the game (i.e., hunting animal)- can reach it/ that is within the reach of your hands and your spears so that Allah may make evident who fears Him in the unseen/ in secret. And whoever transgressed after that, then for him is a painful punishment.

94. Yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanoo la yabluwannnakumul laahu bishai’im minas saidi tanaaluhooo aideekum wa rimaahukum liya’lamal laahu mai yakhaafuhoo bilghaib; famani’ tadaa ba’da zaalika falahoo ‘azaabun aleem (section 12)
5:95  ‏يَٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَقْتُلُوا۟ ٱلصَّيْدَ وَأَنتُمْ حُرُمٌۭ ۚ وَمَن قَتَلَهُۥ مِنكُم مُّتَعَمِّدًۭا فَجَزَآءٌۭ مِّثْلُ مَا قَتَلَ مِنَ ٱلنَّعَمِ يَحْكُمُ بِهِۦ ذَوَا عَدْلٍۢ مِّنكُمْ هَدْيًۢا بَلِغَ ٱلْكَعْبَةِ أَوْ كَفَّرَةٌۭ طَعَامُ مَسَكِينَ أَوْ عَدْلُ ذَلِكَ صِيَامًۭا لِّيَذُوقَ وَبَالَ أَمْرِهِۦ ۗ عَفَا ٱللَّهُ عَمَّا سَلَفَ ۚ وَمَنْ عَادَ فَيَنتَقِمُ ٱللَّهُ مِنْهُ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَزِيزٌۭ ذُو ٱنتِقَامٍ
Yā ‘Ayyuhā Al-LadhīnaĀmanū Taqtulū Aş-Şayda Wa ‘Antum Ĥurumun ۚ Wa Man Qatalahu Minkum Muta`ammidāan Fajazā’un Mithlu Mā Qatala Mina An-Na`ami Yaĥkumu Bihi Dhawā `Adlin Minkum Hadyāan Bāligha Al-Ka`batiAw Kaffāratun Ţa`āmu MasākīnaAw `Adlu Dhālika Şiyāmāan Liyadhūqa WabālaAmrihi ۗ `Afā Al-Lahu `Ammā Salafa ۚ Wa Man `Āda Fayantaqimu Allāhu Minhu ۗ Wa Allāhu `Azīzun Dhū Antiqāmin (Al-Mā’idah: 95).

5:95  O you who believe! Do not kill the game (i.e., hunt) while you are on pilgrimage (i.e., ihram). And whoever among you killed it intentionally, then the penalty/ compensation is similar to what he killed of the cattle, as judged by two just men among you—as an offering reaching (i.e., delivered to) the Kabah or an expiation/ a compensation is/by the feeding of needy people or do the equivalent of that in fasting, so that he may taste the consequence/s of his deed (i.e., violations). Allah has pardoned/ forgiven what is passed/ past, but whoever returned/ returns / repeats to it, then Allah will take retribution/ will exact the penalty from him ˹who repeats it˺. And Allah is All-Mighty, Owner of Retribution All Able of Punishment. Capable of exacting the penalty.

Yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanoo laa taqtulus saida wa antum hurum; wa man qatalahoo minkum mut’am midan fajazaaa’um mislu maa qatala minanna’ami yahkumu bihee zawaa ‘adlim minkum hadyam baalighal Ka’bati aw kaffaaratun ta’aamu masaakeena aw ‘adlu zaalika Siyaamal liyazooqa wabaala amrih; ‘afal laahu ‘ammaa salaf; wa man ‘aada fayanta qimul laahu minh; wallaahu ‘azeezun zuntiqaam
5:96  ‏أُحِلَّ لَكُمْ صَيْدُ ٱلْبَحْرِ وَطَعَامُهُۥ مَتَعًۭا لَّكُمْ وَلِلسَّيَّارَةِ ۖ وَحُرِّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ صَيْدُ ٱلْبَرِّ مَا دُمْتُمْ حُرُمًۭا ۗ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِىٓ إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ
Uĥilla Lakum Şaydu Al-Baĥri Wa Ţa`āmuhu Matā`āan Lakum Wa Lilssayyārati ۖ Wa Ĥurrima `Alaykum Şaydu Al-Barri Dumtum Ĥurumāan ۗ Wa Attaqū Allaha Al-Ladhī ‘Ilayhi Tuĥsharūna (Al-Mā’idah: 96).

5:96 It is made lawful for you the hunting/ game (i.e., catch) from the sea and its food as a provision for you and for the travelers, and it is made unlawful on/ for you the hunting/ game from the land as long as you are on pilgrimage (i.e., ihram), And be conscious of Allah, the One to Whom/Him you will be gathered.

5:96  Is made lawful for you game (of) the sea and its food (as) provision for you and for the travelers, and is made unlawful on you game (of) the land as long as you (are in) Ihram, And be conscious (of) Allah the One to Him you will be gathered.
96. Uhilla lakum saidul bahri wa ta’aamuhoo mataa’al lakum wa lissaiyaarati wa hurrima ‘alaikum saidul barri maa dumtum hurumaa; wattaqul laahal lazeee ilaihi tuhsharoon
5:97  ‏ جَعَلَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْكَعْبَةَ ٱلْبَيْتَ ٱلْحَرَامَ قِيَمًۭا لِّلنَّاسِ وَٱلشَّهْرَ ٱلْحَرَامَ وَٱلْهَدْىَ وَٱلْقَلَٓئِدَ ۚ ذَلِكَ لِتَعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَوَتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌ
Ja`ala Allāhu Al-Ka`bata Al-Bayta Al-Ĥarāma Qiyāmāan Lilnnāsi Wa Ash-Shahra Al-Ĥarāma Wa Al-Hadya Wa Al-Qalā’ida ۚ Dhālika Lita`lamū ‘Anna Allāha Ya`lamu Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Mā  Al-‘Arđi Wa ‘Anna Allāha Bikulli Shay’in `Alīmun (Al-Mā’idah: 97).
5:97  Allah has made the Kabah, the Sacred House, an establishment for humankind and the sacred months and the animals for sacrifice/ and the sacrificial animal and the ˹offerings decorated with˺ garlands. That is so that you may know that Allah knows whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth, and that Allah is All-Knowing of every thing.
97. Ja’alal laahul Ka’batal Baital Haraama qiyaamal linnaasi wash Shahral Haraama walhadya walqalaaa’id; zaalika lita’lamooo annal laaha ya’lamu maa fis samaawaati wa maa fil ardi wa annal laaha bikulli shai’in ‘Aleem
5:98  ‏ٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ
A`lamū ‘Anna Allāha Shadīdu Al-`Iqābi Wa ‘Anna Allāha Ghafūrun Raĥīmun (Al-Mā’idah: 98).
5:98  Know that Allah is severe in punishment and that Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

98. I’lamooo annal laaha shadeedul ‘iqaabi wa annal laaha Ghafoorur Raheem
5:99  ‏مَّا عَلَى ٱلرَّسُولِ إِلَّا ٱلْبَلَغُ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تُبْدُونَ وَمَا تَكْتُمُونَ
`Alá Ar-Rasūli Illā Al-Balāghu ۗ Wa Allāhu Ya`lamu Tubdūna Wa Mā Taktumūna (Al-Mā’idah: 99).

5:99 There is no responsibility/ duty on the Messenger except the conveyance/ delivery/ delivering/ to deliver ˹of the message˺. And Allah knows what you reveal and what you conceal.

99. Maa ‘alar Rasooli illal balaagh; wallaahu ya’lamu maa tubdoona wa maa taktumoon
5:100  ‏قُل لَّا يَسْتَوِى ٱلْخَبِيثُ وَٱلطَّيِّبُ وَلَوْ أَعْجَبَكَ كَثْرَةُ ٱلْخَبِيثِ ۚ فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ يَٓأُو۟لِى ٱلْأَلْبَبِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ
Qul  Yastawī Al-Khabīthu Wa Aţ-Ţayyibu Wa Law ‘A`jabaka Kathratu ۚ Al-Khabīthi Fa Attaqū Allaha Yā ‘Ūlī Al-‘Albābi La`allakum Tufliĥūna (Al-Mā’idah: 100).

5:100  Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “The evil and the good are not equal, even though the abundance of the evil impresses/ pleases you. So fear Allah, O men/ people/ you of understanding, so that you may be successful.”
5:100  Say, “Not (are) equal the evil and the good even though impresses you abundance (of) the evil. So fear Allah, O men of understanding, so that you may be successful.”
100. Qul laa yastawil khabeesu wattaiyibu wa law a’jabaka kasratul khabees; fattaqul laaha yaaa ulil albaabi la’allakum tuflihoon (section 13)
5:101  ‏يَٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَسْـَٔلُوا۟ عَنْ أَشْيَآءَ إِن تُبْدَ لَكُمْ تَسُؤْكُمْ وَإِن تَسْـَٔلُوا۟ عَنْهَا حِينَ يُنَزَّلُ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ تُبْدَ لَكُمْ عَفَا ٱللَّهُ عَنْهَا ۗ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ حَلِيمٌۭ
Yā ‘Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna Āmanū Tas’alū `AnAshyā’a ‘In Tubda Lakum Tasu’ukum Wa ‘In Tas’alū `Anhā Ĥīna Yunazzalu Al-Qur’ānu Tubda Lakum `Afā Al-Lahu `Anhā ۗ Wa Allāhu Ghafūrun Ĥalīmun (Al-Mā’idah: 101).

5:101  O you who believe! Do not ask ˹questions˺ about things if made clear to you, it may distress you, and if you ask ˹questions˺ about it when the Quran is being revealed it would/ will be made clear to you. Allah has pardoned/ forgiven about it (i.e., those questions), and Allah is All-Forgiving, All-Forbearing.

5:101  O you who believe! (Do) not ask about things if made clear to you, it may distress you, and if you ask about it when the Quran is being revealed it would/ will be made clear to you. has pardoned Allah [about] it, and Allah (is) Oft-Forgiving, All-Forbearing.
101. yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanoo laa tas’aloo ‘an ashyaaa’a in tubda lakum tasu’kum wa in tas’aloo ‘anhaa heena yunazzalul Qur’aanu tubda lakum; ‘afallaahu ‘anhaa; wallaahu Ghafoorun Haleem
5:102  ‏قَدْ سَأَلَهَا قَوْمٌۭ مِّن قَبْلِكُمْ ثُمَّ أَصْبَحُوا۟ بِهَا كَفِرِينَ
Qad Sa’alahā Qawmun Min Qablikum Thumma Aşbaĥū Bihā Kāfirīna (Al-Mā’idah: 102).

5:102  Indeed, people from before you asked them (i.e., such questions), then they became disbelievers thereby.
5:102  Indeed, asked them a people from before you, then they became thereby disbelievers.
102. Qad sa alahaa qawmum min qablikum summa asbahoo bihaa kaafireen


5:103  ‏مَا جَعَلَ ٱللَّهُ مِنۢ بَحِيرَةٍۢ وَلَا سَآئِبَةٍۢ وَلَا وَصِيلَةٍۢ وَلَا حَامٍۢ ۙ وَلَكِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْكَذِبَ ۖ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ
Ja`ala Allāhu Min Baĥīratin Wa Lā Sā’ibatin Wa Lā Waşīlatin Wa Lā Ĥāmin ۙ Wa Lakinna Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Yaftarūna `Alá Allāhi Al-Kadhiba ۖ Wa ‘Aktharuhum  Ya`qilūna (Al-Mā’idah: 103).
5:103 Allah has not made/ ordained/ dedicated/ appointed/ authorized ˹any validity˺ of/ for a Bahirah and not a Saibah and not a Wasilah and not a Hami. But those who disbelieve/d, they invent the lie against Allah, and most of them do not use reason/ understand.
103. Maa ja’alal laahu mim baheeratinw wa laa saaa’ibatinw wa laa waseelatinw wa laa haaminw wa laakinnal lazeena kafaroo yaftaroona ‘alallaahil kazib; wa aksaruhum laa ya’qiloon
5:104  ‏وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَعَالَوْا۟ إِلَىٰ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ وَإِلَى ٱلرَّسُولِ قَالُوا۟ حَسْبُنَا مَا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ ءَابَآءَنَآ ۚ أَوَلَوْ كَانَ ءَابَآؤُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ شَيْـًۭٔا وَلَا يَهْتَدُونَ
Wa ‘Idhā Qīla Lahum Ta`ālawā ‘Ilá Mā Anzala Allāhu Wa ‘Ilá Ar-Rasūli Qālū Ĥasbunā Wajadnā `Alayhi ‘Ābā’anā ۚ ‘Awalaw Kāna ‘Ābā’uuhum  Ya`lamūna Shay’āan Wa Lā Yahtadūna (Al-Mā’idah: 104).
5:104  And when it is said to them, “Come to what Allah has revealed and to the Messenger,” they said,What we found our forefathers following/ practicing upon it is enough for us.Even though their forefathers were not knowing anything and nor were they guided?  2:170
104. Wa izaa qeela lahum ta’aalaw ilaa maaa anzalallaahu wa ilar Rasooli qaaloo hasbunaa maa wajadnaa ‘alaihi aabaaa’anaa; awa law kaana aabaaa’uhum laa ya’lamoona shai’anw wa laa yahtadoon
5:105  ‏يَٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ ۖ لَا يَضُرُّكُم مَّن ضَلَّ إِذَا ٱهْتَدَيْتُمْ ۚ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَمِيعًۭا فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
Yā ‘Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna ‘Āmanū `Alaykum Anfusakum ۖ  Yađurrukum Man Đalla Idhā Ahtadaytum ۚ ‘Ilá Allāhi Marji`ukum Jamī`āan Fayunabbi’ukum Bimā Kuntum Ta`malūna (Al-Mā’idah: 105).
5:105  O you who believe! Upon you ˹is the responsiblity for˺ yourselves. Those who have gone astray will not harm you when you have been guided. To Allah you will all return; then He ˹Allah˺ will inform you of what you used to do.
105. Yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanoo ‘alaikum anfusakum laa yadurrukum man dalla izah tadaitum; ilal laahi marji’ukum jamee’an fayunabbi’ukum bimaa kuntum ta’maloon
5:106  ‏يَٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ شَهَدَةُ بَيْنِكُمْ إِذَا حَضَرَ أَحَدَكُمُ ٱلْمَوْتُ حِينَ ٱلْوَصِيَّةِ ٱثْنَانِ ذَوَا عَدْلٍۢ مِّنكُمْ أَوْ ءَاخَرَانِ مِنْ غَيْرِكُمْ إِنْ أَنتُمْ ضَرَبْتُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَأَصَبَتْكُم مُّصِيبَةُ ٱلْمَوْتِ ۚ تَحْبِسُونَهُمَا مِنۢ بَعْدِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ فَيُقْسِمَانِ بِٱللَّهِ إِنِ ٱرْتَبْتُمْ لَا نَشْتَرِى بِهِۦ ثَمَنًۭا وَلَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْبَىٰ ۙ وَلَا نَكْتُمُ شَهَدَةَ ٱللَّهِ إِنَّآ إِذًۭا لَّمِنَ ٱلْءَاثِمِينَ
Yā ‘Ayyuhā Al-LadhīnaĀmanū Shahādatu Baynikum Idhā Ĥađara Aĥadakumu Al-Mawtu Ĥīna Al-Waşīyati Athnāni Dhawā `Adlin Minkum AwĀkharāni Min Ghayrikum In Antum Đarabtum Fī Al-‘Arđi Fa’aşābatkum Muşībatu Al-Mawti ۚ Taĥbisūnahumā Min Ba`di Aş-Şalāati Fayuqsimāni Billāhi Ini Artabtum  Nashtarī Bihi Thamanāan Wa Law Kāna Dhā Qurbá ۙ Wa Lā Naktumu Shahādata Allāhi Innā Idhāan Lamina Al-‘Āthimīna (Al-Mā’idah: 106).

5:106  O you who believe! Make/ have/ take testimony among/ between you, when death approaches one of you. At the time of making the/a will have two just men among you act as witness, or two others from other than you if you are travelling in the earth and the calamity/ disaster of death befalls/ strikes you. if you doubt ˹their testimony˺ Detain/ keep both of them from after the prayer and let them both swear by Allah, ˹saying˺, “we will/ would not exchange/ sell it (i.e., testimony) for a/ any price even if he is of a near/ close relative, and we will not conceal/ hide the testimony of Allah. Indeed, then we will/ would surely be of the sinners.

Make/ have/ take testimony among/ between you, when death approaches one of you, by calling two just men among you to act as witness at the time of making the/a will.

5:106  O you who believe! (Take) testimony among you when approaches one of you [the] death, (at the) time (of making) [the] a will two just men among you, or two others from other than you if you (are) travel(ing) in the earth then befalls you calamity (of) [the] death. Detain both of them from after the prayer and let them both swear by Allah if you doubt, “Not we will exchange it for a price even if he is (of) a near relative, and not we will conceal testimony (of) Allah. Indeed, we then (will) surely (be) of the sinners.
106. Yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanoo shahaadatu bainikum izaa hadara ahadakumul mawtu heenal wasiyyatis naani zawaa ‘adlim minkum aw aakharaani min ghairikum in antum darabtum fil ardi fa asaabatkum museebatul mawt; tahbi soonahumaa mim ba’dis Salaati fa yuqsimaani billaahi inirtabtum laa nashtaree bihee samananw wa law kaana zaa qurbaa wa laa naktumu shahaadatal laahi innaaa izal laminal aasimeen
5:107  ‏فَإِنْ عُثِرَ عَلَىٰٓ أَنَّهُمَا ٱسْتَحَقَّآ إِثْمًۭا فَـَٔاخَرَانِ يَقُومَانِ مَقَامَهُمَا مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَحَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْأَوْلَيَنِ فَيُقْسِمَانِ بِٱللَّهِ لَشَهَدَتُنَآ أَحَقُّ مِن شَهَدَتِهِمَا وَمَا ٱعْتَدَيْنَآ إِنَّآ إِذًۭا لَّمِنَ ٱلظَّلِمِينَ
Fa’in `Uthira `Alá ‘Annahumā Astaĥaqqā Ithmāan Fa’ākharāni Yaqūmāni Maqāmahumā Mina Al-Ladhīna Astaĥaqqa `Alayhimu Al-‘Awlayāni Fayuqsimāni Billāhi Lashahādatunā Aĥaqqu Min Shahādatihimā Wa Mā A`tadaynā ‘Innā Idhāan Lamina Až-Žālimīna (Al-Mā’idah: 107).

5:107 But if it is discovered/ founded upon, that the two ˹witness˺ were guilty of the sin, then let two others stand ˹as witness˺ in their (i.e., former two witness) place from among those who have a lawful right over them: the former two ˹witness˺ and let them both (i.e., the latter two witness) swear by Allah, ˹saying˺, “Surely our testimony is truer than the testimony of the other two (i.e., the former two witness) and we have not transgressed. Indeed, we will/would then/ surely be of the wrongdoers.”

But if it is discovered that the two had been guilty of the same sin, then two other better qualified witnesses than the former, from among those who were deprived of their right, should come forward and testify upon oath, by Allah

5:107  But if it is discovered/ founded upon, that the two were guilty of the sin (i.e., false testimony), then let two others stand in their place from those who have a lawful right over themthe former twoand let them both swear by Allah, ˹saying˺, “Surely our testimony is truer than the testimony of the other two and we have not transgressed. Indeed, we then will/would be of the wrongdoers.”
107. Fa in ‘usira ‘alaaa annahumas tahaqqaaa isman fa aakharaani yaqoomaani maqaamahumaa minal lazeenas tahaqqa ‘alaihimul awlayaani fa yuqsimaani billaahi lashahaadatunaaa ahaqqu min shahaadatihimaaa wa ma’tadainaaa innaaa izal laminaz zaalimeen

5:108  ‏ذَلِكَ أَدْنَىٰٓ أَن يَأْتُوا۟ بِٱلشَّهَدَةِ عَلَىٰ وَجْهِهَآ أَوْ يَخَافُوٓا۟ أَن تُرَدَّ أَيْمَنٌۢ بَعْدَ أَيْمَنِهِمْ ۗ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱسْمَعُوا۟ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلْفَسِقِينَ
Dhālika Adná An Ya’tū Bish-Shahādati `Alá Wajhihā Aw Yakhāfū ‘An Turadda Aymānun Ba`daAymānihim Wa Attaqū ۗ Allaha Wa Asma`ū Wa Allāhu ۗ  Yahdī Al-Qawma Al-Fāsiqīna (Al-Mā’idah: 108).
5:108  That is closer (i.e., more likely) that they (i.e., witnesses) will give the testimony on its face ˹value˺/ its ˹true˺ form or they would fear that their oaths will be refuted ˹by others˺ after their oaths. And fear Allah and listen/ obey; and Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient/ rebellious people,

5:108  That (is) closer that they will give the testimony in its (true) form or they would fear that will be refuted their oaths after their (others) oaths. And fear Allah and listen; and Allah (does) not guide the people, defiantly disobedient ,
108. Zaalika adnaaa ai ya’too bishshahaadati ‘alaa wajhihaaa aw yakhaafooo an turadda aimaanum ba’da aimaanihim; wattaqul laaha wasma’oo; wallaahu laa yahdil qawmal faasiqeen (section 14)
5:109  ‏ئ يَوْمَ يَجْمَعُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلرُّسُلَ فَيَقُولُ مَاذَآ أُجِبْتُمْ ۖ قَالُوا۟ لَا عِلْمَ لَنَآ ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ عَلَّمُ ٱلْغُيُوبِ
Yawma Yajma`u Allāhu Ar-Rusula Fayaqūlu Mādhā ‘Ujibtum ۖ Qālū `Ilma Lanā ۖ ‘Innaka Anta `Allāmu Al-Ghuyūbi (Al-Mā’idah: 109).

5:109  The day Allah will gather the Messengers and He will say,What was the response you received?” They will say,We have no knowledge. Indeed You, You are the Knower of the unseen.”
5:109  (The) day will gather Allah the Messengers and He will say,What was (the) response you received?” They said, “(There is) no knowledge for us. Indeed You, You (are the) Knower (of) the unseen.”
109. yawma yajma’ul laahur Rusula fa yaqoolu maazaaa ujibtum qaaloo laa ‘ilma lanaa innaka Anta ‘Allaamul Ghuyoob
5:110  ‏إِذْ قَالَ ٱللَّهُ يَعِيسَى ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ ٱذْكُرْ نِعْمَتِى عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَىٰ وَلِدَتِكَ إِذْ أَيَّدتُّكَ بِرُوحِ ٱلْقُدُسِ تُكَلِّمُ ٱلنَّاسَ فِى ٱلْمَهْدِ وَكَهْلًۭا ۖ وَإِذْ عَلَّمْتُكَ ٱلْكِتَبَ وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ وَٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَ وَٱلْإِنجِيلَ ۖ وَإِذْ تَخْلُقُ مِنَ ٱلطِّينِ كَهَيْـَٔةِ ٱلطَّيْرِ بِإِذْنِى فَتَنفُخُ فِيهَا فَتَكُونُ طَيْرًۢا بِإِذْنِى ۖ وَتُبْرِئُ ٱلْأَكْمَهَ وَٱلْأَبْرَصَ بِإِذْنِى ۖ وَإِذْ تُخْرِجُ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ بِإِذْنِى ۖ وَإِذْ كَفَفْتُ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٓءِيلَ عَنكَ إِذْ جِئْتَهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَتِ فَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ إِنْ هَذَآ إِلَّا سِحْرٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ
Idh Qāla Allāhu Yā `Īsá Abna Maryama Adhkur Ni`matī `Alayka Wa `Alá Wa Li DatikaIdh Ayyadttuka Birūĥi Al-Qudusi Tukallimu An-Nāsa Al-Mahdi Wa Kahlāan ۖ Wa ‘Idh `Allamtuka Al-Kitāba Wa Al-Ĥikmata Wa At-Tawrāata Wa Al-‘Injīla ۖ Wa ‘Idh Takhluqu Mina Aţ-Ţīni Kahay’ati Aţ-Ţayri Bi’idhnī Fatanfukhu Fīhā Fatakūnu Ţayrāan Bi’idhnī ۖ Wa Tubri’u Al-‘Akmaha Wa Al-‘Abraşa Bi’idhnī ۖ Wa ‘Idh Tukhriju Al-Mawtá Bi’idhnī ۖ Wa ‘Idh Kafaftu Banī Isrā’īla `Anka Idh Ji’tahum Bil-Bayyināti Faqāla Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Minhum ‘In Hādhā Illā Siĥrun Mubīnun (Al-Mā’idah: 110).

5:110 ˹The Day˺ when Allah said/ will say, “O Isa ˹Jesus˺, son of Maryam ˹Mary˺! Remember My Favor upon you and upon your mother when I strengthened/ supported you with the Holy Spirit, you spoke to the people in the cradle (i.e., infancy) and in maturity (i.e., adulthood). And ˹remember˺ when I taught you the Book and the wisdom and the Torah ˹Taurat˺ and the Gospel ˹Injeel˺; and when you make/ made/ moulded ˹what was˺ like the shape/ form of the bird from the clay by My permission then you breath into it and it became a bird by My permission, and you healed the blind and the leper by My permission, and when you brought the dead back to life by My permission. And ˹remember˺ when I restrained/ prevented the Children of Israel from ˹harming˺ you when you came to them with the clear proofs then those who disbelieved among them said “This is nothing but clear/pure magic.”

5:110  When said Allah, “O Isa, son (of) Maryam! Remember My Favor upon you and upon your mother when I strengthened you with (the) Spirit, the Holy, you spoke (to) the people in the cradle and (in) maturity. And when I taught you the Book and the wisdom and the Taurat and the Injeel; and when you make from the clay like the shape (of) the bird by My permission then you breath into it and it becomes a bird by My permission, and you heal the born blind and the leper by My permission, and when you bring forth the dead by My permission. And when I restrained (the) Children (of) Israel from you when you came to them with the clear proofs then said those who disbelieved among themNot this but magic, clear.”
110. Iz qaalal laahu yaa ‘Eesab-na-Maryamaz kur ni’matee ‘alaika wa ‘alaa waalidatika; iz aiyattuka bi Roohil Qudusi tukallimun naasa fil mahdi wa kahlanw wa iz ‘allamtukal kitaaba wal Hikmata wa Tawraata wal Injeela wa iz Takhluqu minat teeni kahai ‘atit tairi bi iznee fatanfukhu feeha fatakoonu tairam bi iznee wa tubri’ul akmaha wal abrasa bi iznee wa iz tukhrijul mawtaa bi iznee wa iz kafaftu Baneee Israaa’eela ‘anka iz ji’tahum bil baiyinaati fa qaalal lazeena kafaroo minhum in haazaaa illaa sihrum mubeen
5:111  ‏وَإِذْ أَوْحَيْتُ إِلَى ٱلْحَوَارِيِّۦنَ أَنْ ءَامِنُوا۟ بِى وَبِرَسُولِى قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا وَٱشْهَدْ بِأَنَّنَا مُسْلِمُونَ
Wa ‘Idh ‘Awĥaytu ‘Ilá Al-ĤawārīyīnaAn Āminū Wa Birasūlī Qālū Āmannā Wa Ash/had Bi’annanā Muslimūna (Al-Mā’idah: 111).
5:111  And when I ˹Allah˺ inspired to the disciples (i.e., of Isa [Jesus]) to believe in Me ˹Allah˺ and in My Messenger, they said, “We believe and bear witness that indeed we fully submit ˹to Allah˺.”
111. Wa iz awhaitu ilal hawaariyyeena an aaminoo bee wa bi Rasoolee qaalooo aamannaa washhad bi annanaa muslimoon
5:112  ‏إِذْ قَالَ ٱلْحَوَارِيُّونَ يَعِيسَى ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ هَلْ يَسْتَطِيعُ رَبُّكَ أَن يُنَزِّلَ عَلَيْنَا مَآئِدَةًۭ مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ ۖ قَالَ ٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
Idh Qāla Al-Ĥawārīyūna Yā `Īsá Abna Maryama Hal Yastaţī`u Rabbuka ‘An Yunazzila `Alaynā Mā’idatan Mina As-Samā’i ۖ Qāla Attaqū Allaha In Kuntum Mu’uminīna (Al-Mā’idah: 112).
5:112 ˹Remember˺ when the disciples said, “O Isa ˹Jesus˺, son of Maryam ˹Mary˺! Is your Lord able/ capable/ willing to send down to us a table ˹spread with food˺ from the heaven?” He ˹Jesus˺ said,Fear Allah, if you are believers.”
112. Iz qaalal hawaariyyoona yaa ‘Eesab na Maryama hal yastatee’u Rabbuka ai yunaz zila alainna maaa’idatam minas samaaa’i qaalat taqul laaha in kuntum mu’mineen
5:113  ‏قَالُوا۟ نُرِيدُ أَن نَّأْكُلَ مِنْهَا وَتَطْمَىِٕنَّ قُلُوبُنَا وَنَعْلَمَ أَن قَدْ صَدَقْتَنَا وَنَكُونَ عَلَيْهَا مِنَ ٱلشَّهِدِينَ
Qālū Nurīdu ‘An Na’kula Minhā Wa Taţma’inna Qulūbunā Wa Na`lama An Qad Şadaqtanā Wa Nakūna `Alayhā Mina Ash-Shāhidīna (Al-Mā’idah: 113).

5:113  They ˹the disciples˺ said, “We wish that we eat from it and satisfy our hearts and we know that you certainly/ surely/ indeed have spoken the truth to us and we would be over/ on it among the witnesses.

113. Qaaloo nureedu an naakula minhaa wa tatama ‘inna quloo bunaa wa na’lama an qad sadaqtana wa nakoona ‘alaihaa minash shaahideen
5:114  ‏قَالَ عِيسَى ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ ٱللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَآ أَنزِلْ عَلَيْنَا مَآئِدَةًۭ مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ تَكُونُ لَنَا عِيدًۭا لِأَوَّلِنَا وَءَاخِرِنَا وَءَايَةًۭ مِّنكَ ۖ وَٱرْزُقْنَا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلرَّزِقِينَ
Qāla `Īsá Abnu Maryama Allāhumma Rabbanā ‘Anzil `Alaynā Mā’idatan Mina As-Samā’i Takūnu Lanā `Īdāan Li’wwalinā Wa ‘Ākhirinā Wa ‘Āyatan Minka ۖ Wa Arzuqnā Wa ‘Anta Khayru Ar-Rāziqīna (Al-Mā’idah: 114).
5:114  Isa ˹Jesus˺, son of Maryam ˹Mary˺ said,O Allah, our Lord, send down to us a table ˹spread with food˺ from the heaven to be a festival for us for first of us and last of us and a sign from You. And provide us, and You are best of the providers.
114. Qaala ‘Eesab nu Maryamal laahumma Rabbanaaa anzil ‘alainaa maaa’idatam minas samaaa’i takoonu lanaa ‘eedal li awwalinaa wa aakhirinaa wa Aayatam minka warzuqnaa wa Anta khairur raaziqeen
5:115  ‏قَالَ ٱللَّهُ إِنِّى مُنَزِّلُهَا عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ فَمَن يَكْفُرْ بَعْدُ مِنكُمْ فَإِنِّىٓ أُعَذِّبُهُۥ عَذَابًۭا لَّآ أُعَذِّبُهُۥٓ أَحَدًۭا مِّنَ ٱلْعَلَمِينَ
Qāla Allāhu ‘Innī Munazziluhā `Alaykum ۖ Faman Yakfur Ba`du Minkum Fa’innī ‘U`adhdhibuhu `Adhābāan  ‘U`adhdhibuhu ‘Aĥadāan Mina Al-`Ālamīna (Al-Mā’idah: 115).
5:115  Allah said, “Indeed I will send it down to you, then whoever among you disbelieves after that, then indeed I will punish him with a punishment I have not/ never punished anyone among the worlds.”
115. Qaalal laahu innee munaz ziluhaa ‘alaikum famai yakfur ba’du minkum fa inneee u’azzibuhoo ‘azaabal laaa u’azzibuhooo ahadam minal ‘aalameen (section 15)
5:116  ‏وَإِذْ قَالَ ٱللَّهُ يَعِيسَى ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ ءَأَنتَ قُلْتَ لِلنَّاسِ ٱتَّخِذُونِى وَأُمِّىَ إِلَهَيْنِ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ۖ قَالَ سُبْحَنَكَ مَا يَكُونُ لِىٓ أَنْ أَقُولَ مَا لَيْسَ لِى بِحَقٍّ ۚ إِن كُنتُ قُلْتُهُۥ فَقَدْ عَلِمْتَهُۥ ۚ تَعْلَمُ مَا فِى نَفْسِى وَلَآ أَعْلَمُ مَا فِى نَفْسِكَ ۚ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ عَلَّمُ ٱلْغُيُوبِ
Wa ‘Idh Qāla Allāhu Yā `Īsá Abna Maryama ‘A’anta Qulta Lilnnāsi Attakhidhūnī Wa ‘Ummiya ‘Ilahayni Min Dūni Allāhi ۖ Qāla Subĥānaka Yakūnu Lī An ‘Aqūla Laysa Biĥaqqin ۚ ‘In Kuntu Qultuhu Faqad `Alimtahu ۚ Ta`lamu Nafsī Wa Lā ‘A`lamu Nafsika ۚ ‘InnakaAnta `Allāmu Al-Ghuyūbi (Al-Mā’idah: 116).
5:116 And ˹on Judgment Day˺ when Allah will say, “O Isa ˹Jesus˺, son of Maryam ˹Mary˺! Did you say to the people, “Take me ˹Jesus˺ and my mother ˹Mary˺ as two gods from besides Allah?” he ˹Jesus˺ will say, “Glory be to You! It was not for me that I say what I had no right ˹to say˺. If I had said it, then surely You would have known it. You know what is in/ within myself, and I do not know what is in Yourself. Indeed, You, You are All-Knower of the unseen.

116. Wa iz qaalal laahu yaa ‘Eesab na Maryama ‘a-anta qulta linnaasit takhizoonee wa ummiya ilaahaini min doonil laahi qaala Subhaanaka  maa yakoonu leee an aqoola maa laisa lee bihaqq; in kuntu qultuhoo faqad ‘alimtah; ta’lamu maa fee nafsee wa laaa a’alamu maa fee nafsik; innaka Anta ‘Allaamul Ghuyoob
5:117  ‏مَا قُلْتُ لَهُمْ إِلَّا مَآ أَمَرْتَنِى بِهِۦٓ أَنِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ رَبِّى وَرَبَّكُمْ ۚ وَكُنتُ عَلَيْهِمْ شَهِيدًۭا مَّا دُمْتُ فِيهِمْ ۖ فَلَمَّا تَوَفَّيْتَنِى كُنتَ أَنتَ ٱلرَّقِيبَ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ وَأَنتَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ شَهِيدٌ
 Qultu Lahum ‘Illā  ‘Amartanī Bihi ‘Ani A`budū Allaha Rabbī Wa Rabbakum ۚ Wa Kuntu `Alayhim Shahīdāan  Dumtu Fīhim ۖ Falammā Tawaffaytanī KuntaAnta Ar-Raqība `Alayhim ۚ Wa ‘Anta`Alá Kulli Shay’in Shahīdun (Al-Mā’idah: 117).
5:117  I said to them nothing except what You ˹Allah˺ commanded me with it  that Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.And I was a witness over them that/ for as long as I ˹remained˺ among them, then when You raised me, You, Yourself were the Watcher over them, and You are a Witness on every thing.

You, only You were the Watcher over them

then when You raised me to Yourself, You were the Watcher over them

117. Maa qultu lahum illaa maaa amartanee bihee ani’budul laaha Rabbeee wa Rabbakum; wa kuntu ‘alaihim shaheedam maa dumtu feehim falammaa tawaffaitanee kunta Antar Raqeeba ‘alaihim; wa Anta ‘alaa kulli shai’in Shaheed
5:118  ‏إِن تُعَذِّبْهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ عِبَادُكَ ۖ وَإِن تَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ فَإِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ
‘In Tu`adhdhibhum Fa’innahum `Ibāduka ۖ Wa ‘In Taghfir Lahum Fa’innaka ‘Anta Al-`Azīzu Al-Ĥakīmu (Al-Mā’idah: 118).
5:118  If You punish them, then indeed they are Your slaves, and if You forgive them then indeed You, You are the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.”
118. In tu’azzibhum fa innahum ibaaduka wa in taghfir lahum fa innaka Antal ‘Azzezul Hakeem
5:119  ‏قَالَ ٱللَّهُ هَذَا يَوْمُ يَنفَعُ ٱلصَّدِقِينَ صِدْقُهُمْ ۚ لَهُمْ جَنَّتٌۭ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَرُ خَلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدًۭا ۚ رَّضِىَ ٱللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا۟ عَنْهُ ۚ ذَلِكَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ
Qāla Allāhu Hādhā Yawmu Yanfa`u Aş-Şādiqīna Şidquhum ۚ Lahum Jannātun Tajrī Min Taĥtihā Al-‘Anhāru Khālidīna Fīhā ‘Abadāan ۚ Rađiya Allāhu `Anhum Wa Rađū `Anhu ۚ Dhālika Al-Fawzu Al-`Ažīmu (Al-Mā’idah: 119).

5:119  Allah will say,This is the Day the truthful will profit from their truthfulness.For them are Gardens from underneath it the rivers flows, staying forever and ever in it.Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him. That is the great success.

5:119  Allah will say,This Day will profit the truthful their truthfulness.For them are Gardens flows from underneath it the rivers will abide in it forever.is pleased Allah with them and they are pleased with Him. That (is) the success, the great.
119. Qaalal laahu haaza yawmu yanfa’us saadiqeena sidquhum; lahum janaatunn tajree min tahtihal anhaaru khaalideena feehaaa abadaa; radiyal laahu ‘anhum wa radoo ‘anh; zaalikal fawzul ‘azeem
5:120  ‏لِلَّهِ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَوَتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا فِيهِنَّ ۚ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۢ
Lillāh Mulku As-Samāwāti Wa Al-‘Arđi Wa Mā Fīhinna ۚ Wa Huwa `Alá Kulli Shay’in Qadīrun (Al-Mā’idah: 120).
5:120  To Allah belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and whatever is in them. And He is All-Powerful on every thing.
120. Lillaahi mulkus samaawaati wal ardi wa maa feehinn; wa Huwa ‘alaa kulli shai’inn Qadeer (section 16)
