6. Surah Al-An’am

PART 1 1 TO 50

1. الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَجَعَلَ الظُّلُمَاتِ وَالنُّورَ ۖ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِرَبِّهِمْ يَعْدِلُونَ
Al-Ĥamdu Lillāh Al-Ladhī Khalaqa As-Samāwāti Wa Al-‘Arđa Wa Ja`ala Až-Žulumāti Wa An-Nūra ۖ Thumma Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Birabbihim Ya`dilūna
6:1 All the praises and thanks belongs to Allah, the One Who created the heavens and the earth and made the darkness and the light. Then those who disbelieved set up equals with/ to their Lord ˹in worship˺.

Then those who disbelieved in their Lord equate others with Him ˹in worship˺.
1. Alhamdu lillaahil lazee khalaqas samaawaati wal arda wa ja’alaz zulumaati wannoor; summal lazeena kafaroo bi Rabbihim ya’diloon
2. هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ مِنْ طِينٍ ثُمَّ قَضَىٰ أَجَلًا ۖ وَأَجَلٌ مُسَمًّى عِنْدَهُ ۖ ثُمَّ أَنْتُمْ تَمْتَرُونَ
Huwa Al-Ladhī Khalaqakum Min Ţīnin Thumma QađáAjalāan ۖ Wa ‘Ajalun Musamman `Indahu ۖ Thumma Antum Tamtarūna
6:2 He is the One Who created you from clay, then He decreed/ appointed a term ˹for your death˺- and a term specified with Him, ˹for your resurrection˺ yet you doubt.
2. Huwal lazee khalaqakum min teenin summa qadaaa ajalanw wa ajalum musamman ‘indahoo summa antum tamtaroon
3. وَهُوَ اللَّهُ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَفِي الْأَرْضِ ۖ يَعْلَمُ سِرَّكُمْ وَجَهْرَكُمْ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تَكْسِبُونَ
Wa Huwa Allāhu As-Samāwāti Wa Fī Al-‘Arđi ۖ Ya`lamu Sirrakum Wa Jahrakum Wa Ya`lamu Taksibūna
6:3 And He is Allah in the heavens and in the earth. He knows your secret (i.e., conceal) and what you make public (i.e., reveal) and He knows what you earn.
3. Wa Huwal laahu fissamaawaati wa fil ardi ya’lamu sirrakum wa jahrakum wa ya’lamu maa taksiboon
4. وَمَا تَأْتِيهِمْ مِنْ آيَةٍ مِنْ آيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ إِلَّا كَانُوا عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَ
Wa Mā Ta’tīhim Min ‘Āyatin Min ‘Āyāti Rabbihim ‘Illā Kānū `Anhā Mu`riđīna
6:4 And not comes to them [of] any sign from (the) Signs (of) their Lord but they are turning away from it.

  1. And there is not of a sign from any of the signs that have come to them from their Lord but they are turning away from it.
  2. And there is not of a sign from any of the signs that have come to them from their Lord except that they are turn away from it.
  3. And there is not of a sign that have come to them from any of the signs from their Lord except that they are turn away from it.

4. Wa maa ta’teehim min Aayatim min Aayaati Rabbihim illaa kaanoo ‘anhaa mu’rideen
5. فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوا بِالْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَأْتِيهِمْ أَنْبَاءُ مَا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ
Faqad Kadhdhabū Bil-Ĥaqqi Lammā Jā’ahum ۖ Fasawfa Ya’tīhim ‘Anbā’u Kānū Bihi Yastahzi’ūn
6:5 Then indeed, they have denied the truth when it came to them, so soon there will come to them the news of what they used to mock at it/ about it.
5. Faqad kazzaboo bilhaqqi lammaa jaaa’ahum fasawfa ya’teehim ambaaa’u maa kaanoo bihee yastahzi’oon
6. أَلَمْ يَرَوْا كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِنْ قَرْنٍ مَكَّنَّاهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ مَا لَمْ نُمَكِّنْ لَكُمْ وَأَرْسَلْنَا السَّمَاءَ عَلَيْهِمْ مِدْرَارًا وَجَعَلْنَا الْأَنْهَارَ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهِمْ فَأَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَأَنْشَأْنَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْنًا آخَرِينَ
Alam Yaraw KamAhlaknā Min Qablihim Min Qarnin Makkannāhum Al-‘Arđi Lam Numakkin Lakum Wa ‘Arsalnā As-Samā’a `Alayhim Midrārāan Wa Ja`alnā Al-‘Anhāra Tajrī Min Taĥtihim Fa’ahlaknāhum Bidhunūbihim Wa ‘Ansha’nā Min Ba`dihim Qarnāan Ākharīna

6:6 Did they not see how many of generations We destroyed from before them We had established them in the earth what we have not established for you? And We sent the sky upon them showering ˹rain˺ abundantly and We made the rivers flow from underneath them. Then We destroyed them for their sins and We raised other generations from after them.

6:6 Did not they see how many We destroyed from before them of generations We had established them in the earth what Not we (have) established for you? And We sent (rain from) the sky upon them showering abundantly and We made the rivers flow from underneath them. Then We destroyed them for their sins and We raised from after them generations other.
6. Alam yaraw kam ahlaknaa min qablihim min qarnim makkannaahum fil ardi maa lam numakkil lakum wa arsalnas samaaa’a ‘alaihim midraaranw wa ja’alnal anhaara tajree min tahtihim fa ahlak naahum bizunoobihim wa ansha’naa mim ba’dihim qarnan aakhareen
7. وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ كِتَابًا فِي قِرْطَاسٍ فَلَمَسُوهُ بِأَيْدِيهِمْ لَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُبِينٌ
Wa Law Nazzalnā `Alayka Kitābāan Qirţāsin Falamasūhu Bi’aydīhim Laqāla Al-Ladhīna Kafarū ‘In Hādhā Illā Siĥrun Mubīnun
6:7 And if We had sent down to you ˹O Prophet˺ a written Scripture in a parchment and they had touched it with their own hands, surely/ then those who disbelieved would have said, “This is nothing but clear/ pure magic.”

6:7 And (even) if We (had) sent down to you a written Scripture in a parchment and they touched it with their hands, surely (would) have said those who disbelieved, “Not (is) this but magic clear.”
7. Wa law nazzalnaa ‘alaika Kitaaban fee qirtaasin falamasoohu bi aideehim laqaalal lazeena kafarooo in haazaaa illaa sihrum mubeen
8. وَقَالُوا لَوْلَا أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْهِ مَلَكٌ ۖ وَلَوْ أَنْزَلْنَا مَلَكًا لَقُضِيَ الْأَمْرُ ثُمَّ لَا يُنْظَرُونَ
Wa Qālū Lawlā Unzila `Alayhi Malakun ۖ Wa LawAnzalnā Malakāan Laquđiya Al-‘Amru Thumma Yunžarūna
6:8 And they said,Why has an Angel not been sent down to him?” And if We had sent down an Angel, surely the matter would have been decided, then no respite/postponement (i.e., time to repent) would have been granted.

6:8 And they said,Why has not been sent down to him an Angel?” And if We (had) sent down an Angel, surely (would) have been decided the matter then no respite would have been granted.
8. Wa qaaloo law laaa unzila alaihi malakunw wa law anzalna malakal laqudiyal amru summa laa yunzaroon
9. وَلَوْ جَعَلْنَاهُ مَلَكًا لَجَعَلْنَاهُ رَجُلًا وَلَلَبَسْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ مَا يَلْبِسُونَ
Wa Law Ja`alnāhu Malakāan Laja`alnāhu Rajulāan Wa Lalabasnā `Alayhim Yalbisūna
6:9 And if We had made him an Angel, certainly We would have made him ˹appear as˺ a man, and certainly We would have obscured to them what they are obscuring.
9. Wa law ja’alnaahu malakal laja’alnaahu rajulanw wa lalabasnaa ‘alaihim maa yalbisoon
10. وَلَقَدِ اسْتُهْزِئَ بِرُسُلٍ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ فَحَاقَ بِالَّذِينَ سَخِرُوا مِنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ
Wa Laqadi Astuhzi’a Birusulin Min Qablika Faĥāqa Bial-Ladhīna Sakhirū Minhum Kānū Bihi Yastahzi’ūn
6:10 And indeed Messengers were mocked from before you ˹O Prophet˺, but those who mocked of/ among them were surrounded by what they used to mock about/at it.
10. Wa laqadis tuhzi’a bi-Rusulim min qablika fahaaqa billazeena sakhiroo minhum maa kaanoo bihee yastahzi’oon (section 1)
11. قُلْ سِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ ثُمَّ انْظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ
Qul Sīrū Al-‘Arđi Thumma Anžurū Kayfa Kāna `Āqibatu Al-Mukadhdhibīna
6:11 Say, “Travel in/ through/ throughtout the earth/ land and see how was the end of the rejecters/ deniers.”
11. Qul seeroo fil ardi summan zuroo kaifa kaana ‘aaqibatul mukazzibeen
12. قُلْ لِمَنْ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۖ قُلْ لِلَّهِ ۚ كَتَبَ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِ الرَّحْمَةَ ۚ لَيَجْمَعَنَّكُمْ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ ۚ الَّذِينَ خَسِرُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
Qul Liman As-Samāwāti Wa Al-‘Arđi ۖ Qul Lillāh ۚ Kataba `Alá Nafsihi Ar-Raĥmata ۚ Layajma`annakumIlá Yawmi Al-Qiyāmati Rayba Fīhi ۚ Al-Ladhīna KhasirūAnfusahum Fahum Yu’uminūna
6:12 Say, ˹to them, O Prophet˺ “To whom belongs what is in the heavens and the earth?” Say, “To Allah. He has decreed/ taken it upon Himself the Mercy/ to be Merciful. Surely He ˹Allah˺ will assemble you on the Day of the Resurrection, about it/ which there is no doubt. Those who have lost/ ruined themselves/ their souls, then they will not/ never believe.
12. Qul limam maa fis samaawaati wal ardi qul lillaah; kataba ‘alaa nafsihir rahmah; la yajma ‘annakum ilaa Yawmil Qiyaamati laa raiba feeh; allazeena khasirooo anfusahum fahum laa yu’minoon
13. وَلَهُ مَا سَكَنَ فِي اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ ۚ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
Wa Lahu Sakana Al-Layli Wa An-Nahāri ۚ Wa Huwa As-Samī`u Al-`Alīmu
6:13 And for Him belongs whatever dwells/ exists/ inhabits in the night and the day, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
13. Wa lahoo maa sakana fillaili wannahaar; wa Huwas Samee’ul Aleem
14. قُلْ أَغَيْرَ اللَّهِ أَتَّخِذُ وَلِيًّا فَاطِرِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَهُوَ يُطْعِمُ وَلَا يُطْعَمُ ۗ قُلْ إِنِّي أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ ۖ وَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ
QulAghayra Allāhi Attakhidhu Walīyāan Fāţiri As-Samāwāti Wa Al-‘Arđi Wa Huwa Yuţ`imu Wa Lā Yuţ`amu ۗ Qul Innī Umirtu An Akūna Awwala ManAslama ۖ Wa Lā Takūnanna Mina Al-Mushrikīna

Will I take a/ any protector other than Allah

6:14 Say, ˹O Prophet˺ “Is it other than Allah I Will take as a protector, Creator/ Originator of the heavens and the earth, while it is He Who feeds ˹all˺ and He is not fed?” Say, “Indeed I, I am commanded that I be the first who submits ˹to Allah˺ and not be of the polytheists.
14. Qul aghairal laahi attakhizu waliyyan faatiris samaawaati wal ardi wa Huwa yut’imu wa laa yut’am; qul inneee umirtu an akoona awwala man aslama wa laa takoonanna minal mushrikeen
15. قُلْ إِنِّي أَخَافُ إِنْ عَصَيْتُ رَبِّي عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
Qul Innī Akhāfu ‘In `Aşaytu Rabbī `Adhāba Yawmin `Ažīmin

6:15 Say, “Indeed, I I fear the punishment of a Mighty Day if I disobey/ed my Lord.”

6:15 Say, “Indeed, if I disobey/ed my Lord, I fear the punishment of a Mighty Day.”
6:15 Say, “Indeed, I I fear if I disobey/ed my Lord, the punishment of a Mighty Day.”
15. Qul inneee akhaafu in ‘asaitu Rabbee ‘azaaba Yawmin ‘Azeem
16. مَنْ يُصْرَفْ عَنْهُ يَوْمَئِذٍ فَقَدْ رَحِمَهُ ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْمُبِينُ
Man Yuşraf `Anhu Yawma’idhin Faqad Raĥimahu ۚ Wa Dhalika Al-Fawzu Al-Mubīnu
6:16 Whoever is averted/ turned away (i.e., saved/ spared) from it (i.e., punishment) on that Day, then surely He ˹Allah˺ had Mercy on him. And that is the clear success.
16. Mai yusraf ‘anhu Yawma’izin faqad rahimah; wa zaalikal fawzul mubeen
17. وَإِنْ يَمْسَسْكَ اللَّهُ بِضُرٍّ فَلَا كَاشِفَ لَهُ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ وَإِنْ يَمْسَسْكَ بِخَيْرٍ فَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
Wa ‘In Yamsaska Allāhu Biđurrin Falā Kāshifa Lahu~ ‘Illā Huwa ۖ Wa ‘In Yamsaska Bikhayrin Fahuwa `Alá Kulli Shay’in Qadīrun
6:17 And if Allah touches you with affliction/ harm then none can remove/r it except Him/ He ˹Allah˺. And if He ˹Allah˺ touches you with good, then He is All-Powerful on/ over every thing .
17. Wa iny-yamsaskal laahu bidurrin falaaa kaashifa lahoo illaa Huwa wa iny-yamsaska bikhairin fa Huwa ‘alaa kulli shai’in Qadeer
18. وَهُوَ الْقَاهِرُ فَوْقَ عِبَادِهِ ۚ وَهُوَ الْحَكِيمُ الْخَبِيرُ
Wa Huwa Al-Qāhiru Fawqa `Ibādihi ۚ Wa Huwa Al-Ĥakīmu Al-Khabīru
6:18 And He is the Subjugator/ reigns supreme/ the Supreme Master/ the Dominant/ the All Dominant over His slaves. And He is the All-Wise, the All-Aware.

18. Wa Huwal qaahiru fawqa ‘ibaadih; wa Huwal Hakeemul Khabeer
19. قُلْ أَيُّ شَيْءٍ أَكْبَرُ شَهَادَةً ۖ قُلِ اللَّهُ ۖ شَهِيدٌ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ ۚ وَأُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ هَٰذَا الْقُرْآنُ لِأُنْذِرَكُمْ بِهِ وَمَنْ بَلَغَ ۚ أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَشْهَدُونَ أَنَّ مَعَ اللَّهِ آلِهَةً أُخْرَىٰ ۚ قُلْ لَا أَشْهَدُ ۚ قُلْ إِنَّمَا هُوَ إِلَٰهٌ وَاحِدٌ وَإِنَّنِي بَرِيءٌ مِمَّا تُشْرِكُونَ
Qul ‘Ayyu Shay’in Akbaru Shahādatan ۖ Quli Allāhu ۖ Shahīdun Baynī Wa Baynakum ۚ Wa ‘Ūĥiya Ilayya Hādhā Al-Qur’ānu Li’ndhirakum Bihi Wa Man Balagha ۚ ‘A’innakum Latash/hadūna ‘Anna Ma`a Allāhi Ālihatan ‘Ukhrá ۚ Qul Ash/hadu ۚ QulInnamā Huwa ‘Ilahun Wāĥidun Wa ‘Innanī Barī’un Mimmā Tushrikūna

6:19 Say, ˹to them, O Prophet˺ “What thing is greatest/ greater as a testimony/ witness?” Say,Allah is Witness between me and between you, and this Quran has been revealed to me so that I may warn you with it and whoever it reaches. Do you truly testify that there are other gods with/ besides Allah?” Say,I do/ will not/ never testify ˹to this˺.” Say, “He ˹Allah˺ is Only One God, and indeed, I am free/ disown of what/ whatever you associate ˹with Him˺.

6:19 Say, “What thing (is) greatest (as) a testimony?” Say,Allah (is) Witness between me and between you, and has been revealed to me this [the] Quran that I may warn you with it and whoever it reaches. Do you truly testify that with Allah (there are) gods other?” Say,Not (do) I testify.” Say, “Only He (is) God One, and indeed, I am free of what you associate (with Him).
19. Qul ayyu shai’in akbaru shahaadatan qulil laahu shaheedum bainee wa bainakum; wa oohiya ilaiya haazal Qur’aanu li unzirakum bihee wa mam balagh; a’innakum latashhadoona anna ma’al laahi aalihatan ukhraa; qul laaa ashhad; qul innamaa Huwa Ilaahunw Waahidunw wa innanee baree’um mimmaa tushrikoon
20. الَّذِينَ آتَيْنَاهُمُ الْكِتَابَ يَعْرِفُونَهُ كَمَا يَعْرِفُونَ أَبْنَاءَهُمُ ۘ الَّذِينَ خَسِرُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
Al-LadhīnaĀtaynāhumu Al-Kitāba Ya`rifūnahu Kamā Ya`rifūna Abnā’ahumu ۘ Al-Ladhīna Khasirū Anfusahum Fahum Yu’uminūna
6:20 Those whom We have given them the Book they recognize him/ it as they recognize their sons. Those who have lost/ ruined themselves/ their souls then they will not/ never believe.

20. Allazeena aatainaa humul Kitaaba ya’rifoonahoo kamaa ya’rifoona abnaaa’ahum; allazeena khasirooo anfusahum fahum laa yu’minoon (section 2)

21. وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَىٰ عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ كَذَّبَ بِآيَاتِهِ ۗ إِنَّهُ لَا يُفْلِحُ الظَّالِمُونَ
Wa ManAžlamu Mimmani Aftará `Alá Allāhi Kadhibāan Aw Kadhdhaba Bi’āyātihi~ ۗ ‘Innahu Yufliĥu Až-Žālimūna
6:21 And who is more unjust/ wrong than those who invents/ fabricates a lie against Allah or rejects/ denies His Signs? Indeed, the wrongdoers will not/ never be successful.
21. Wa man azlamu mim manif tara ‘alal laahi kaziban aw kazzaba bi Aayaatih; innahoo laa yuflihuz zaalimoon
22. وَيَوْمَ نَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعًا ثُمَّ نَقُولُ لِلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا أَيْنَ شُرَكَاؤُكُمُ الَّذِينَ كُنْتُمْ تَزْعُمُونَ
Wa Yawma Naĥshuruhum Jamī`āan Thumma Naqūlu Lilladhīna AshrakūAyna Shurakā’uukumu Al-Ladhīna Kuntum Taz`umūna
6:22 And ˹consider˺ the Day We will gather them all together, then We will say to those who associated others ˹with Allah in worship˺, Where are your partners, those whom you used to claim ˹as partners in worship with Allah˺?”
22. Wa yawma nahshuruhum jamee’an summa naqoolu lillazeena ashrakooo ayna shurakaaa’ ukumul lazeena kuntum taz’umoon
23. ثُمَّ لَمْ تَكُنْ فِتْنَتُهُمْ إِلَّا أَنْ قَالُوا وَاللَّهِ رَبِّنَا مَا كُنَّا مُشْرِكِينَ
Thumma Lam Takun Fitnatuhum Illā An Qālū Wa Allāhi Rabbinā Kunnā Mushrikīna
6:23 Then there will be no excuse for them except that they say,By Allah, our Lord, we were not/ never those who associated others (with Allah)/ polytheists.”

6:23 Then not will be (for) them a plea except that they say,By Allah, our Lord, we were not/ never those who associated others (with Allah)/ polytheists.”
23. Summa lam takun fitnatuhum illaaa an qaaloo wallaahi Rabbinaa maa kunnaa mushrikeen
24. انْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَذَبُوا عَلَىٰ أَنْفُسِهِمْ ۚ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ
Anžur Kayfa Kadhabū `Alá Anfusihim ۚ Wa Đalla `Anhum Kānū Yaftarūna

6:24 See how they will lie about themselves. And what they used to invent/ fabricate will lost/ fail/ astrayed/ deserted them.
6:24 Look/ See how they will lie/d about themselves. And lost from them what they used to invent.
24. Unzur kaifa kazaboo ‘alaaa anfusihim, wa dalla ‘anhum maa kaanoo yaftaroon
25. وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَسْتَمِعُ إِلَيْكَ ۖ وَجَعَلْنَا عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ أَكِنَّةً أَنْ يَفْقَهُوهُ وَفِي آذَانِهِمْ وَقْرًا ۚ وَإِنْ يَرَوْا كُلَّ آيَةٍ لَا يُؤْمِنُوا بِهَا ۚ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَاءُوكَ يُجَادِلُونَكَ يَقُولُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
Wa Minhum Man Yastami`uIlayka ۖ Wa Ja`alnā `Alá Qulūbihim Akinnatan An Yafqahūhu Wa Fī Ādhānihim Waqrāan Wa ‘In ۚ Yaraw Kulla Āyatin Yu’uminū Bihā Ĥattá ۚIdhā Jā’ūka Yujādilūnaka Yaqūlu Al-Ladhīna Kafarū In Hādhā Illā Asāţīru Al-‘Awwalīna

6:25 And among them ˹are those˺ who ˹pretend to˺ listen to you, but We have placed coverings over their hearts, they do not understand it, and deafness in their ears. And even if they were to see every sign they will not believe in it. Until, when they come to you and argue with you. Those who disbelieve say, “This ˹Quran˺ is nothing but the tales/ stories of the former people.”

6:25 And among them (are those) who listen to you, but We have placed over their hearts coverings lest they understand it, and in their ears deafness. And if they see every sign not they will believe in it. Until, when they come to you and argue with you say those who disbelieved, “Not (is) this but (the) tales (of) the former (people).”
25. Wa minhum mai yastami’u ilaika wa ja’alnaa ‘alaa quloobihim akinnatan ai yafqahoohu wa feee aazaanihim waqraa; wa ai yaraw kulla Aayatil laa yu’minoo bihaa; hattaaa izaa jaaa’ooka yujaadiloonaka yaqoolul lazeena kafaroo in haazaa illaaa asaateerul awwaleen
26. وَهُمْ يَنْهَوْنَ عَنْهُ وَيَنْأَوْنَ عَنْهُ ۖ وَإِنْ يُهْلِكُونَ إِلَّا أَنْفُسَهُمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ
Wa Hum Yanhawna `Anhu Wa Yan’awna `Anhu ۖ Wa ‘In Yuhlikūna Illā Anfusahum Wa Mā Yash`urūna
6:26 And they forbid/ prevent/ keep away/ turn away others from it and they themselves keep away from it. And they do not destroy except/ but themselves and they do not perceive/ realize it.

26. Wa hum yanhawna ‘anhu wa yan’awna ‘anhu wa iny yuhlikoona illaa anfusahum wa maa yash’uroon
27. وَلَوْ تَرَىٰ إِذْ وُقِفُوا عَلَى النَّارِ فَقَالُوا يَا لَيْتَنَا نُرَدُّ وَلَا نُكَذِّبَ بِآيَاتِ رَبِّنَا وَنَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Wa Law Tará Idh Wuqifū `Alá An-Nāri Faqālū Yā Laytanā Nuraddu Wa Lā Nukadhdhiba Bi’āyāti Rabbinā Wa Nakūna Mina Al-Mu’uminīna
6:27 And if only you could see when they are made to stand by the Fire, then they will say, “Oh! If only we were sent back ˹to the life on earth˺ and we would not deny the Signs of our Lord and we would ˹surely˺ be among the believers.

27. Wa law taraaa iz wuqifoo ‘alan Naari faqaaloo yaa laitanaa nuraddu wa laa nukaz ziba bi Aayaati Rabbinaa wa nakoona minal mu’mineen
28. بَلْ بَدَا لَهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يُخْفُونَ مِنْ قَبْلُ ۖ وَلَوْ رُدُّوا لَعَادُوا لِمَا نُهُوا عَنْهُ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ
Bal Badā Lahum Kānū Yukhfūna Min Qablu ۖ Wa Law Ruddū La`ādū Limā Nuhū `Anhu Wa ‘Innahum Lakādhibūna

6:28 But what they used to conceal/ hide from before will became manifest/ clear/ open for/ to them. And even if they were sent back ˹to the life on earth˺ certainly they would return to what they were forbidden from it, and indeed they certainly are liars/ are surely liars.

28. Bal badaa lahum maa kaanoo yukhfoona min qablu wa law ruddoo la’aadoo limaa nuhoo ‘anhu wa innahum lakaaziboon
29. وَقَالُوا إِنْ هِيَ إِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا الدُّنْيَا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَبْعُوثِينَ
Wa QālūIn Hiya Illā Ĥayātunā Ad-Dunyā Wa Mā Naĥnu Bimab`ūthīna
6:29 And they said/ say, “that it/ there is nothing except our present life of the world and we will not be resurrected.
29. Wa qaalooo in hiya illaa hayaatunad dunyaa wa maa nahnu bimab’ooseen
30. وَلَوْ تَرَىٰ إِذْ وُقِفُوا عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ ۚ قَالَ أَلَيْسَ هَٰذَا بِالْحَقِّ ۚ قَالُوا بَلَىٰ وَرَبِّنَا ۚ قَالَ فَذُوقُوا الْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ
Wa Law Tará Idh Wuqifū `Alá Rabbihim ۚ Qāla Alaysa Hādhā Bil-Ĥaqqi ۚ Qālū Balá Wa Rabbinā ۚ Qāla Fadhūqū Al-`Adhāba Bimā Kuntum Takfurūna
6:30 And if you could only see when they will be made to stand before their Lord. He ˹Allah˺ will say, “Is this ˹Hereafter˺ not the truth?” They will say,Yes indeed, by our Lord.He ˹Allah˺ will then say, “So taste the punishment because you used to disbelieve.”
30. Wa law taraa iz wuqifoo ‘alaa Rabbihim; qaala alaisa haazaa bilhaqq; qaaloo balaa wa Rabbinaa; qaala fazooqul ‘azaaba bimaa kuntum takfuroon (section 3)
31. قَدْ خَسِرَ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِلِقَاءِ اللَّهِ ۖ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَاءَتْهُمُ السَّاعَةُ بَغْتَةً قَالُوا يَا حَسْرَتَنَا عَلَىٰ مَا فَرَّطْنَا فِيهَا وَهُمْ يَحْمِلُونَ أَوْزَارَهُمْ عَلَىٰ ظُهُورِهِمْ ۚ أَلَا سَاءَ مَا يَزِرُونَ
Qad Khasira Al-Ladhīna Kadhdhabū Biliqā’i Allāhi ۖ Ĥattá Idhā Jā’at/humu As-Sā`atu Baghtatan Qālū Yā Ĥasratanā `Alá Farraţnā Fīhā Wa Hum Yaĥmilūna Awzārahum `Alá Žuhūrihim ۚAlā Sā’a Yazirūna
6:31 Indeed, incurred loss/ are lost those who denied/ deny in meeting Allah, until when the Hour suddenly came/ comes to/ upon them, they will say,Oh! ˹it is˺ Our regret over what we neglected concerning/ about it,” while they will bear their burdens on their backs. Unquestionably! Evil is what they bear.
31. Qad khasiral lazeena kazzaboo biliqaaa’il laahi hattaaa izaa jaaa’at humus Saa’atu baghtatan qaaloo yaa hasratanaa ‘alaa maa farratnaa feehaa wa hum yahmiloona awzaarahum ‘alaa zuhoorihim; alaa saaa’a ma yaziroon
32. وَمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا لَعِبٌ وَلَهْوٌ ۖ وَلَلدَّارُ الْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لِلَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَ ۗ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ
Wa Mā Al-Ĥayāatu Ad-DunyāIllā La`ibun Wa Lahwun ۖ Wa Lalddāru Al-‘Ākhiratu Khayrun Lilladhīna Yattaqūna ۗAfalā Ta`qilūna
6:32 And the life of the world is nothing except a play and amusement (i.e. diversion); but the home of the Hereafter is best for those who are God conscious. Then will you not reason/ understand?
32. Wa mal hayaatud dunyaaa illaa la’ibunw wa lahwunw wa lad Daarul Aakhiratu khaiyrul lillazeena yattaqoon; afalaa ta’qiloon
33. قَدْ نَعْلَمُ إِنَّهُ لَيَحْزُنُكَ الَّذِي يَقُولُونَ ۖ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَا يُكَذِّبُونَكَ وَلَٰكِنَّ الظَّالِمِينَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ يَجْحَدُونَ
Qad Na`lamuInnahu Layaĥzunuka Al-Ladhī Yaqūlūna ۖ Fa’innahum Yukadhdhibūnaka Wa Lakinna Až-Žālimīna Bi’āyāti Allāhi Yajĥadūna
6:33 Indeed, We know that what they say it grieves you ˹O Prophet˺. And indeed, they do not deny you ˹O Prophet˺, but it is the Verses of Allah the wrongdoers deny/ reject.

6:33 Indeed, We know that it grieves you ˹O Prophet˺ what they say. And indeed, they do not deny you, but the wrongdoers deny/ reject the Verses of Allah.
33. Qad na’lamu innahoo layahzunukal lazee yaqooloona fa innahum laa yukazziboonaka wa laakinnaz zaalimeena bi Aayaatil laahi yajhadoon
34. وَلَقَدْ كُذِّبَتْ رُسُلٌ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ فَصَبَرُوا عَلَىٰ مَا كُذِّبُوا وَأُوذُوا حَتَّىٰ أَتَاهُمْ نَصْرُنَا ۚ وَلَا مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ ۚ وَلَقَدْ جَاءَكَ مِنْ نَبَإِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
Wa Laqad Kudhdhibat Rusulun Min Qablika Faşabarū `Alá Kudhdhibū Wa ‘Ūdhū Ĥattá Atāhum Naşrunā ۚ Wa Lā Mubaddila Likalimāti Allāhi ۚ Wa Laqad Jā’aka Min Naba’i Al-Mursalīna
6:34 And surely Messengers from before you were rejected/ denied, but they were patient over what they were rejected and they were harmed until Our help came to them. And no one can alter the words of Allah, and surely ˹some˺ of the news about the ˹previous˺ Messengers has already reached you/ has come to you.
34. Wa laqad kuzzibat Rusulum min qablika fasabaroo ‘alaa maa kuzziboo wa oozoo hattaaa ataahum nasrunaa; wa laa mubaddila li Kalimaatil laah; wa laqad jaaa’aka min naba’il mursaleen
35. وَإِنْ كَانَ كَبُرَ عَلَيْكَ إِعْرَاضُهُمْ فَإِنِ اسْتَطَعْتَ أَنْ تَبْتَغِيَ نَفَقًا فِي الْأَرْضِ أَوْ سُلَّمًا فِي السَّمَاءِ فَتَأْتِيَهُمْ بِآيَةٍ ۚ وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَجَمَعَهُمْ عَلَى الْهُدَىٰ ۚ فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْجَاهِلِينَ
Wa ‘In Kāna Kabura `Alayka ‘I`rāđuhum Fa’ini Astaţa`ta ‘An Tabtaghiya Nafaqāan Al-‘Arđi Aw Sullamāan As-Samā’i Fata’tiyahum Bi’āyatin ۚ Wa Law Shā’a Allāhu Lajama`ahum `Alá Al-Hudá ۚ Falā Takūnanna Mina Al-Jāhilīna
6:35 And if their aversion/ / turning away/ turning away in denial/ turning away ˹in denial˺ is difficult ˹to bear˺ for you, then if you are able to; seek a tunnel in the earth or a ladder into the sky so that you bring to them/  so that you may bring them/ to bring them a Sign. But if Allah had willed, surely He would have gathered them ˹all˺ on the guidance. So do not be of the ignorant/ those who lack knowledge/ the unaware/ those who get overwhelmed by emotion.
35. Wa in kaana kabura ‘alaika i’raaduhum fa inistata’ta an tabtaghiya nafaqan fil ardi aw sullaman fis samaaa’i fata’ tiyahum bi Aayah; wa law shaaa’al laahu lajama’ahum ‘alal hudaa; falaa takoonanna minal jaahileen
36. إِنَّمَا يَسْتَجِيبُ الَّذِينَ يَسْمَعُونَ ۘ وَالْمَوْتَىٰ يَبْعَثُهُمُ اللَّهُ ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ يُرْجَعُونَ
Innamā Yastajību Al-Ladhīna Yasma`ūna Wa ۘ Al-Mawtá Yab`athuhumu Allāhu Thumma Ilayhi Yurja`ūna
6:36 Only those who listen ˹in truth˺ will respond ˹to your call˺. But the deadAllah will resurrect/ raise them, then to Him they will be returned.
36. Innamaa yastajeebul lazeena yasma’oon; walmawtaa yab’asuhumul laahu summa ilaihi yurja’oon
3@7. وَقَالُوا لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ آيَةٌ مِنْ رَبِّهِ ۚ قُلْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَادِرٌ عَلَىٰ أَنْ يُنَزِّلَ آيَةً وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
Wa Qālū Lawlā Nuzzila `Alayhi Āyatun Min Rabbihi ۚ Qul ‘Inna Allāha Qādirun `Alá An Yunazzila Āyatan Wa LakinnaAktharahum Ya`lamūna
6:37 And they say/ said, “Why has a Sign not sent down to him ˹the Prophet˺ from his Lord?” Say,Indeed Allah is Able on/ upon to send down a Sign, but most of them do not know.
37. Wa qaaloo law laa nuzzila ‘alaihi Aayatum mir Rabbih; qul innal laaha qaadirun ‘alaaa ai yunazzila Aayatanw wa laakinna aksarahum laa ya’lamoon
38. وَمَا مِنْ دَابَّةٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا طَائِرٍ يَطِيرُ بِجَنَاحَيْهِ إِلَّا أُمَمٌ أَمْثَالُكُمْ ۚ مَا فَرَّطْنَا فِي الْكِتَابِ مِنْ شَيْءٍ ۚ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يُحْشَرُونَ
Wa Mā Min Dābbatin Al-‘Arđi Wa Lā Ţā’irin Yaţīru Bijanāĥayhi ‘Illā Umamun Amthālukum ۚ Farraţnā Al-Kitābi Min Shay’in ۚ Thumma ‘Ilá Rabbihim Yuĥsharūna
6:38 And ˹there is˺ not of any animal in the earth and not a bird that flies with its wingsbut/ except that they are communities like you. We have not neglected of anything in the Book, then to their Lord they will be gathered.
38. Wa maa min daaabbatin fil ardi wa laa taaa’iriny yateeru bijanaahaihi illaaa umamun amsaalukum; maa farratnaa fil Kitaabi min shaiyy’ summa ilaa Rabbihim yuhsharoon
39. وَالَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا صُمٌّ وَبُكْمٌ فِي الظُّلُمَاتِ ۗ مَنْ يَشَإِ اللَّهُ يُضْلِلْهُ وَمَنْ يَشَأْ يَجْعَلْهُ عَلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ
Wa Al-Ladhīna Kadhdhabū Bi’āyātinā Şummun Wa Bukmun Až-Žulumāti ۗ Man Yasha’i Allāhu Yuđlilhu Wa Man YashaYaj`alhu `Alá Şirāţin Mustaqīmin
6:39 And those who reject/ed/ deny Our Verses are deaf and dumb in the darkness. Whoever Allah wills He lets him go astray and whoever He willsHe places him on the Straight Way.
39. Wallazeena kazzaboo bi Aayaatinaa summunw wa bukmun fiz zulumaat; mai yasha il laahu yudlillhu; wa mai yashaa yaj’alhu ‘alaa Siraatim Mustaqeem
40. قُلْ أَرَأَيْتَكُمْ إِنْ أَتَاكُمْ عَذَابُ اللَّهِ أَوْ أَتَتْكُمُ السَّاعَةُ أَغَيْرَ اللَّهِ تَدْعُونَ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ
Qul Ara’aytakum In Atākum `Adhābu Allāhi AwAtatkumu As-Sā`atuAghayra Allāhi Tad`ūna ‘In Kuntum Şādiqīna
6:40 Say, ˹to them, O Prophet˺ “Have you seen/ considered: if the punishment of Allah came upon you/ come upon you or the Hour came upon you/ come upon you – is it other than Allah you would/ will call ˹for help˺? ˹reply˺ if you are/ you should be truthful?”
40. Qul ara’aytakum in ataakum ‘azaabul laahi aw atatkumus Saa’atu a-ghairal laahi tad’oona in kuntum saadiqeen
41. بَلْ إِيَّاهُ تَدْعُونَ فَيَكْشِفُ مَا تَدْعُونَ إِلَيْهِ إِنْ شَاءَ وَتَنْسَوْنَ مَا تُشْرِكُونَ
Bal Īyāhu Tad`ūna Fayakshifu Tad`ūna ‘Ilayhi ‘In Shā’a Wa Tansawna Tushrikūna
6:41 “No, it is Him Alone you would/ will call, and He would remove that for what/ which you call upon Him if He wills, and you will forget what you associate ˹with Him˺.”

41. Bal iyyaahu tad’oona fa yakshifu maa tad’oona ilaihi in shaaa’a wa tansawna maa tushrikoon (section 4)
42. وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا إِلَىٰ أُمَمٍ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ فَأَخَذْنَاهُمْ بِالْبَأْسَاءِ وَالضَّرَّاءِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَضَرَّعُونَ
Wa LaqadArsalnā Ilá Umamin Min Qablika Fa’akhadhnāhum Bil-Ba’sā’i Wa Ađ-Đarrā’i La`allahum Yatađarra`ūna
6:42 And certainly We have sent ˹Messengers˺ to nations from before you ˹O Prophet˺, then We seized them with adversity/ poverty/ difficulties and hardship so that they may humble themselves.
42. Wa laqad arsalnaaa ilaaa umamim min qablika fa akhaznaahum bil ba’saaa’i waddarraaa’i la’allahum yata darra’oon
43. فَلَوْلَا إِذْ جَاءَهُمْ بَأْسُنَا تَضَرَّعُوا وَلَٰكِنْ قَسَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
Falawlā ‘Idh Jā’ahum Ba’sunā Tađarra`ū Wa Lakin Qasat Qulūbuhum Wa Zayyana Lahumu Ash-Shayţānu Kānū Ya`malūn
6:43 Then why when Our punishment came to them, they did not humble/d themselves? But their hearts became hardened and the Satan made fair-seeming to them what they used to do/ they were doing.

43. Falaw laaa iz jaaa’ahum ba’sunaa tadarra’oo wa laakin qasat quloobuhum wa zaiyana lahumush Shaitaanu maa kaanoo ya’maloon
44. فَلَمَّا نَسُوا مَا ذُكِّرُوا بِهِ فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ أَبْوَابَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا فَرِحُوا بِمَا أُوتُوا أَخَذْنَاهُمْ بَغْتَةً فَإِذَا هُمْ مُبْلِسُونَ
Falammā Nasū Dhukkirū Bihi Fataĥnā `Alayhim Abwāba Kulli Shay’in Ĥattá Idhā Fariĥū Bimā Ūtū Akhadhnāhum Baghtatan Fa’idhā Hum Mublisūna
6:44 So when they forgot what they were reminded of it, We opened on them gates of every thing, until when they rejoiced/ enjoyed in what they were given, We seized them suddenly, and then they were in despair/ dumbfounded.
44. Falammaa nasoo maa zukkiroo bihee fatahnaa ‘alaihim abwaaba kulli shai’in hattaaa izaa farihoo bimaaa ootooo akhaznaahum baghtatan fa izaa hum mublisoon
45. فَقُطِعَ دَابِرُ الْقَوْمِ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا ۚ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
Faquţi`a Dābiru Al-Qawmi Al-Ladhīna Žalamū ۚ Wa Al-Ĥamdu Lillāh Rabbi Al-`Ālamīna
6:45 So the last remnant/ roots of the people those who did wrong was/ were cut off. And all praises and thanks be to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
45. Faquti’a daabirul qawmil lazeena zalamoo; walhamdu lillaahi Rabbil ‘aalameen
46. قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَخَذَ اللَّهُ سَمْعَكُمْ وَأَبْصَارَكُمْ وَخَتَمَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِكُمْ مَنْ إِلَٰهٌ غَيْرُ اللَّهِ يَأْتِيكُمْ بِهِ ۗ انْظُرْ كَيْفَ نُصَرِّفُ الْآيَاتِ ثُمَّ هُمْ يَصْدِفُونَ
QulAra’aytum ‘In Akhadha Allāhu Sam`akum Wa ‘Abşārakum Wa Khatama `Alá Qulūbikum Man Ilahun Ghayru Allāhi Ya’tīkum Bihi ۗ Anžur Kayfa Nuşarrifu Al-‘Āyāti Thumma Hum Yaşdifūna
6:46 Say, ˹to them, O Prophet˺ “Have you seen/ considered if Allah took away your hearing and your sight and sealed/ sets a seal on/ upon your hearts, who is the god other than Allah, to bring of it/ with it/ it back to you? See how We explain the Signs; yet they turn away.”

who could bring it back to you?

46. Qul ara’aitum in akhazal laahu sam’akum wa absaarakum wa khatama ‘alaa quloobikum man ilaahun ghairul laahi ya’teekum bih; unzur kaifa nusarriful Aayaati summa hum yasdifoon
47. قُلْ أَرَأَيْتَكُمْ إِنْ أَتَاكُمْ عَذَابُ اللَّهِ بَغْتَةً أَوْ جَهْرَةً هَلْ يُهْلَكُ إِلَّا الْقَوْمُ الظَّالِمُونَ
Qul ‘Ara’aytakum ‘InAtākum `Adhābu Allāhi Baghtatan ‘Aw Jahratan Hal Yuhlaku Illā Al-Qawmu Až-Žālimūna
6:47 Say,Have you seen/ considered if the punishment of Allah comes to you suddenly or openly, will anyone be destroyed except the wrongdoing people?
47. Qul ara’aitakum in ataakum ‘azaabul laahi baghtatan aw jahratan hal yuhlaku illal qawmuz zaalimoon
48. وَمَا نُرْسِلُ الْمُرْسَلِينَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرِينَ وَمُنْذِرِينَ ۖ فَمَنْ آمَنَ وَأَصْلَحَ فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ
Wa Mā Nursilu Al-MursalīnaIllā Mubashshirīna Wa Mundhirīna ۖ Faman Āmana Wa ‘Aşlaĥa Falā Khawfun `Alayhim Wa Lā Hum Yaĥzanūna
6:48 And We did not send the Messengers except as bearer/ deliverer of glad tidings/ good news and warners. So whoever believed and reformed, then there is/ there will be no fear upon them and nor they will grieve.
48. Wa maa nursilul mursaleena illaa mubashshireena wa munzireena faman aamana wa aslaha falaa khawfun ‘alaihim wa laa hum yahzanoon
49. وَالَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا يَمَسُّهُمُ الْعَذَابُ بِمَا كَانُوا يَفْسُقُونَ
Wa Al-Ladhīna Kadhdhabū Bi’āyātinā Yamassuhumu Al-`Adhābu Bimā Kānū Yafsuqūna
6:49 And those who denied in Our Verses, the punishment will touch them for what they used to defiantly disobey.
49. Wallazeena kazzaboo bi Aayaatinaa yamassuhumul ‘azaabu bimaa kaanoo yafsuqoon
50. قُلْ لَا أَقُولُ لَكُمْ عِنْدِي خَزَائِنُ اللَّهِ وَلَا أَعْلَمُ الْغَيْبَ وَلَا أَقُولُ لَكُمْ إِنِّي مَلَكٌ ۖ إِنْ أَتَّبِعُ إِلَّا مَا يُوحَىٰ إِلَيَّ ۚ قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِي الْأَعْمَىٰ وَالْبَصِيرُ ۚ أَفَلَا تَتَفَكَّرُونَ
Qul Aqūlu Lakum `Indī Khazā’inu Allāhi Wa Lā ‘A`lamu Al-Ghayba Wa LāAqūlu Lakum ‘Innī Malakun ۖIn ‘Attabi`u ‘Illā Yūĥá ‘Ilayya ۚ Qul Hal Yastawī Al-‘A`má Wa Al-Başīru ۚ ‘Afalā Tatafakkarūna
6:50 Say, ˹to them, O Prophet˺ I do not say to you that with me are the treasures of Allah and nor do I know the unseen and nor do I say to you that I am an Angel. I do not follow except what is revealed to me. Say,Can the blind and the seeing one be equal?” Then will you not give thought/ consider/ think ?

6:50 Say, “Not (do) I say to you (that) with me (are the) treasures (of) Allah and not (that) I know the unseen and not I say to you that I (am) an Angel. Not (do) I follow except what is revealed to me. Say,Can be equal the blind and the seeing one?” Then will not you give thought?
50. Qul laaa aqoolu lakum ‘indee khazaaa’inul laahi wa laaa a’lamul ghaiba wa laaa aqoolu lakum innee malakun in attabi’u illaa maa yoohaaa ilaiy; qul hal yastawil a’maa walbaseer; afalaa tatafakkaroon (section 5)

6. Surah Al -An’am

PART 2 51 TO 100

51. وَأَنْذِرْ بِهِ الَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ أَنْ يُحْشَرُوا إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ ۙ لَيْسَ لَهُمْ مِنْ دُونِهِ وَلِيٌّ وَلَا شَفِيعٌ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ
Wa ‘Andhir Bihi Al-Ladhīna Yakhāfūna An Yuĥsharū Ilá Rabbihim ۙ Laysa Lahum Min Dūnihi Wa Līyun Wa Lā Shafī`un La`allahum Yattaqūna
6:51 And warn with it (i.e., Quran) those who fear that they will be gathered before their Lord, they will not have from besides Him any protector and nor any intercessor, so that they may become righteous.

51. Wa anzir bihil lazeena yakhaafoona ai yuhsharooo ilaa Rabbihim laisa lahum min doonihee waliyyunw wa laa shafee’ul la’allahum yattaqoon
52. وَلَا تَطْرُدِ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ رَبَّهُمْ بِالْغَدَاةِ وَالْعَشِيِّ يُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَهُ ۖ مَا عَلَيْكَ مِنْ حِسَابِهِمْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ وَمَا مِنْ حِسَابِكَ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ فَتَطْرُدَهُمْ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ
Wa Lā Taţrudi Al-Ladhīna Yad`ūna Rabbahum Bil-Ghadāati Wa Al-`Ashīyi Yurīdūna Wajhahu Mā ۖ `Alayka Min Ĥisābihim Min Shay’in Wa Mā Min Ĥisābika `Alayhim Min Shay’in Fataţrudahum Fatakūna Mina Až-Žālimīna
6:52 And do not send away those who call their Lord in the morning and the evening desiring His Countenance/ Face/ Pleasure. It is not upon you of anything from their account, and it is not upon them of anything from your account. So if you were to send them away, then you would be of the wrongdoers.

Not (is) on you of their account [of] anything, and not from your account on them [of] anything.

52. Wa laa tatrudil lazeena yad’oona Rabbahum bilghadaati wal ‘ashiyyi yureedoona Wajhahoo ma ‘alaika min hisaabihim min shai’inw wa maa min hisaabika ‘alaihim min shai’in fatatrudahum fatakoona minaz zaalimeen
53. وَكَذَٰلِكَ فَتَنَّا بَعْضَهُمْ بِبَعْضٍ لِيَقُولُوا أَهَٰؤُلَاءِ مَنَّ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْ بَيْنِنَا ۗ أَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِأَعْلَمَ بِالشَّاكِرِينَ
Wa Kadhalika Fatannā Ba`đahum Biba`đin Liyaqūlū ‘Ahā’uulā’ Manna Allāhu `Alayhim Min Bayninā ۗAlaysa Allāhu Bi’a`lama Bish-Shākirīna
6:53 And thus We try some of them with others that they (i.e., disbelievers) say,Are these whom Allah has favored upon them (i.e., poor believers) from among us?” Is Allah not most knowing of those who are grateful?
53. Wa kazaalika fatannaa ba’dahum biba’dil liyaqoolooo ahaaa’ulaaa’i mannal laahu ‘alaihim mim baininaa; alaisal laahu bi-a’lama bish shaakireen
54. وَإِذَا جَاءَكَ الَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِآيَاتِنَا فَقُلْ سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ كَتَبَ رَبُّكُمْ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِ الرَّحْمَةَ ۖ أَنَّهُ مَنْ عَمِلَ مِنْكُمْ سُوءًا بِجَهَالَةٍ ثُمَّ تَابَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ وَأَصْلَحَ فَأَنَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
Wa ‘Idhā Jā’aka Al-Ladhīna Yu’uminūna Bi’āyātinā Faqul Salāmun `Alaykum ۖ Kataba Rabbukum `Alá Nafsihi Ar-Raĥmata ۖ ‘Annahu Man `Amila Minkum Sū’āan Bijahālatin Thumma Tāba Min Ba`dihi Wa ‘Aşlaĥa Fa’annahu Ghafūrun Raĥīmun
6:54 And when those who believe in Our Verses come to you, then say,Peace be upon you. Your Lord has Prescribed upon Himself the Mercy that whoever among you does evil in ignorance then repents from after it and reforms/ corrects themselves/ their ways, then, indeed He ˹Allah˺ is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”
54. Wa izaa jaaa’akal lazeena yu’minoona bi Aayaatinaa faqul salaamun ‘alaikum kataba Rabbukum ‘alaa nafsihir rahmata annahoo man ‘amila minkum sooo’am bijahaalatin summa taaba mim ba’dihee wa aslaha fa annahoo Ghafoorur Raheem
55. وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ الْآيَاتِ وَلِتَسْتَبِينَ سَبِيلُ الْمُجْرِمِينَ
Wa Kadhalika Nufaşşilu Al-‘Āyāti Wa Litastabīna Sabīlu Al-Mujrimīna
6:55 And thus We explain the Verses, so that the way of the criminals will become/s clear.
55. Wa kazaalika nufassilul Aayaati wa litastabeena sabeelul mujrimeen (section 6)
56. قُلْ إِنِّي نُهِيتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ الَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ ۚ قُلْ لَا أَتَّبِعُ أَهْوَاءَكُمْ ۙ قَدْ ضَلَلْتُ إِذًا وَمَا أَنَا مِنَ الْمُهْتَدِينَ
Qul Innī Nuhītu An ‘A`buda Al-Ladhīna Tad`ūna Min Dūni Allāhi ۚ Qul Attabi`uAhwā’akum ۙ Qad Đalaltu Idhāan Wa Mā Anā Mina Al-Muhtadīna
6:56 Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Indeed I am forbidden that I worship those whom you call from besides Allah.” Say,I will not follow your desires, I would certainly go astray then, and I would not be from the ˹rightly˺ guided-ones.”
56. Qul innee nuheetu an a’budal lazeena tad’oona min doonil laah; qul laaa attabi’u ahwaaa’akum qad dalaltu izanw wa maaa ana minal muhtadeen
57. قُلْ إِنِّي عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍ مِنْ رَبِّي وَكَذَّبْتُمْ بِهِ ۚ مَا عِنْدِي مَا تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ بِهِ ۚ إِنِ الْحُكْمُ إِلَّا لِلَّهِ ۖ يَقُصُّ الْحَقَّ ۖ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ الْفَاصِلِينَ
Qul Innī `Alá Bayyinatin Min Rabbī Wa Kadhdhabtum Bihi ۚ `Indī Tasta`jilūna Bihi~ ۚ ‘Ini Al-Ĥukmu Illā Lillāh ۖ Yaquşşu Al-Ĥaqqa ۖ Wa Huwa Khayru Al-Fāşilīna
6:57 Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Indeed, I am/ stand on a clear proof from my Lord, while you deny about it. I do not have what you seek to ˹impatiently˺ hasten/ hurry/ rush about it (i.e., torment). The decision/ Judgement rests/ is with none except for/ with Allah. He relates the truth, and He is the best of the Deciders/ Judges.”
57. Qul innee ‘alaa baiyinatim mir Rabbee wa kazzabtum bih; maa ‘indee maa tasta’jiloona bih; inil hukmu illaa lillaahi yaqussul haqqa wa Huwa khairul faasileen
58. قُلْ لَوْ أَنَّ عِنْدِي مَا تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ بِهِ لَقُضِيَ الْأَمْرُ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِالظَّالِمِينَ
Qul Law ‘Anna `Indī Tasta`jilūna Bihi Laquđiya Al-‘Amru Baynī Wa Baynakum ۗ Wa AllāhuA`lamu Biž-Žālimīna
6:58 Say,If I had that what you seek to hasten/ hurry/ rush about/of it, surely the matter between me and between you would have been decided. And Allah is most knowing of the wrongdoers.

6:58 Say,If that what you seek to hasten/ hurry/ rush about/of it were/ was with me, surely the matter between me and between you would have been decided. And Allah is most knowing of the wrongdoers.

58. Qul law anna ‘indee maa tasta’jiloona bihee laqudiyal amru bainee wa bainakum; wallaahu a’lamu bizzaalimeen
59. وَعِنْدَهُ مَفَاتِحُ الْغَيْبِ لَا يَعْلَمُهَا إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ ۚ وَمَا تَسْقُطُ مِنْ وَرَقَةٍ إِلَّا يَعْلَمُهَا وَلَا حَبَّةٍ فِي ظُلُمَاتِ الْأَرْضِ وَلَا رَطْبٍ وَلَا يَابِسٍ إِلَّا فِي كِتَابٍ مُبِينٍ
Wa `Indahu Mafātiĥu Al-Ghaybi Ya`lamuhā ‘Illā Huwa ۚ Wa Ya`lamu Al-Barri Wa Al-Baĥri ۚ Wa Mā Tasquţu Min Waraqatin Illā Ya`lamuhā Wa Lā Ĥabbatin Žulumāti Al-‘Arđi Wa Lā Raţbin Wa Lā Yā BisinIllā Kitābin Mubīnin
6:59 And with Him are the keys of the unseen, no one knows them except Him. And He knows what is in the land and in the sea. And there falls nothing from any leaf except He knows itAnd there is not a grain in the darkness of the earth and nor moist and nor dry but ˹it is˺ in a Clear Record.

59. Wa ‘indahoo mafaatihul ghaibi laa ya’lamuhaaa illaa Hoo; wa ya’lamu maa fil barri walbahr; wa maa tasqutu minw waraqatin illaa ya’lamuhaa wa laa habbatin fee zulumaatil ardi wa laa ratbinw wa laa yaabisin illaa fee Kitaabim Mubeen
60. وَهُوَ الَّذِي يَتَوَفَّاكُمْ بِاللَّيْلِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا جَرَحْتُمْ بِالنَّهَارِ ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُكُمْ فِيهِ لِيُقْضَىٰ أَجَلٌ مُسَمًّى ۖ ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
Wa Huwa Al-Ladhī Yatawaffākum Bil-Layli Wa Ya`lamu Jaraĥtum Bin-Nahāri Thumma Yab`athukum Fīhi Liyuqđá Ajalun Musamman ۖ Thumma Ilayhi Marji`ukum Thumma Yunabbi’ukum Bimā Kuntum Ta`malūna
6:60 And He is the One Who takes you by the night and He knows what you committed/ do by the day. Then He raises you up therein, so that the specified term is fulfilled. Then to Him will be your return, then He will inform you about what you used to do.
60. Wa Huwal lazee yatawaf faakum billaili wa ya’lamu maa jarahtum binnahaari summa yab’asukum feehee liyuqdaaa ajalum musamman summa ilaihi marji’ukum summa yunabbi ‘ukum bimaa kuntum ta’maloon (section 7)
61. وَهُوَ الْقَاهِرُ فَوْقَ عِبَادِهِ ۖ وَيُرْسِلُ عَلَيْكُمْ حَفَظَةً حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَاءَ أَحَدَكُمُ الْمَوْتُ تَوَفَّتْهُ رُسُلُنَا وَهُمْ لَا يُفَرِّطُونَ
Wa Huwa Al-Qāhiru Fawqa `Ibādihi ۖ Wa Yursilu `Alaykum Ĥafažatan ĤattáIdhā Jā’aAĥadakumu Al-Mawtu Tawaffat/hu Rusulunā Wa Hum Yufarriţūna
6:61 And He is the Subjugator/ reigns supreme/ the Supreme Master/ the Dominant/ the All Dominant over His slaves, and He sends guardians/ gaurdian-angels/ recording angels over you until when the death comes to any of you/ one of you, Our messengers take him, and they do not fail ˹in performing their duties˺.
61. Wa huwal qaahiru fawqa ‘ibaadihee wa yursilu ‘alaikum hafazatan hattaaa izaa jaaa’a ahadakumul mawtu tawaffathu rusulunaa wa hum laa yufarritoon
62. ثُمَّ رُدُّوا إِلَى اللَّهِ مَوْلَاهُمُ الْحَقِّ ۚ أَلَا لَهُ الْحُكْمُ وَهُوَ أَسْرَعُ الْحَاسِبِينَ
Thumma Ruddū Ilá Allāhi Mawlāhumu Al-Ĥaqqi ۚ ‘Alā Lahu Al-Ĥukmu Wa HuwaAsra`u Al-Ĥāsibīna
6:62 Then they are returned to Allah, their True Protector/ Lord, Unquestionably/ Behold/ No Doubt the judgment is with Him? And He is swiftest of the Reckoners/ Accountants.
62. Summa ruddooo ilallaahi mawlaahumul haqq; alaa lahul hukmu wa Huwa asra’ul haasibeen
63. قُلْ مَنْ يُنَجِّيكُمْ مِنْ ظُلُمَاتِ الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ تَدْعُونَهُ تَضَرُّعًا وَخُفْيَةً لَئِنْ أَنْجَانَا مِنْ هَٰذِهِ لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الشَّاكِرِينَ
Qul Man Yunajjīkum Min Žulumāti Al-Barri Wa Al-Baĥri Tad`ūnahu Tađarru`āan Wa Khufyatan La’in ‘Anjānā Min Hadhihi Lanakūnanna Mina Ash-Shākirīna
6:63 Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Who saves you from the darkness/es of the land and the sea, when you call upon Him humbly and secretly, ˹saying˺ “If He saves us from this, surely we will be from the grateful/ thankful ones.”
63. Qul mai yunajjeekum min zulumaatil barri walbahri tad’oonahoo tadarru’anw wa khufyatal la’in anjaanaa min haazihee lanakoonanna minash shaakireen
64. قُلِ اللَّهُ يُنَجِّيكُمْ مِنْهَا وَمِنْ كُلِّ كَرْبٍ ثُمَّ أَنْتُمْ تُشْرِكُونَ
Quli Allāhu Yunajjīkum Minhā Wa Min Kulli Karbin Thumma Antum Tushrikūna
6:64 Say, ” ˹Only˺ Allah saves you from it and from every distress, yet you associate partners ˹with Allah˺.”
64. Qulil laahu yunajjjeekum minhaa wa min kulli karbin summa antum tushrikoon
65. قُلْ هُوَ الْقَادِرُ عَلَىٰ أَنْ يَبْعَثَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابًا مِنْ فَوْقِكُمْ أَوْ مِنْ تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِكُمْ أَوْ يَلْبِسَكُمْ شِيَعًا وَيُذِيقَ بَعْضَكُمْ بَأْسَ بَعْضٍ ۗ انْظُرْ كَيْفَ نُصَرِّفُ الْآيَاتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَفْقَهُونَ
Qul Huwa Al-Qādiru `Alá An Yab`atha `Alaykum `Adhābāan Min Fawqikum Aw Min Taĥti Arjulikum Aw Yalbisakum Shiya`āan Wa Yudhīqa Ba`đakum Ba’sa Ba`đin ۗ Anžur Kayfa Nuşarrifu Al-‘Āyāti La`allahum Yafqahūna
6:65 Say, “He is All-Capable on to send punishment upon you from above you or from beneath your feet or to confuse/ split/ divide you into sects and make some of you taste the violence of others.” See how We explain/ vary the Signs so that they may understand.
65. Qul huwal Qaadiru ‘alaaa ai yab’asa ‘alaikum ‘azaabam min fawqikum aw min tahti arjulikum aw yalbisakum shiya’anw wa yuzeeqa ba’dakum ba’sa ba’d; unzur kaifa nusarriful Aayaati la’allahum yafqahoon
66. وَكَذَّبَ بِهِ قَوْمُكَ وَهُوَ الْحَقُّ ۚ قُلْ لَسْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ بِوَكِيلٍ
Wa Kadhdhaba Bihi Qawmuka Wa Huwa Al-Ĥaqqu ۚ Qul Lastu `Alaykum Biwakīlin
6:66 But your people ˹O Prophet˺ denied it, while it (i.e., Quran) is the truth. Say, “I am not a manager/ keeper over you.”
66. Wa kaz zaba bihee qawmuka wa huwal haqq; qul lastu’alaikum biwakeel
67. لِكُلِّ نَبَإٍ مُسْتَقَرٌّ ۚ وَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ
Likulli Naba’iin Mustaqarrun ۚ Wa Sawfa Ta`lamūna
6:67 For every news is a fixed time ˹to occur/ to be fulfilled˺, and soon you will ˹come to˺ know.
67. Likulli naba im mustaqar runw wa sawfa ta’lamoon
68. وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَ الَّذِينَ يَخُوضُونَ فِي آيَاتِنَا فَأَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يَخُوضُوا فِي حَدِيثٍ غَيْرِهِ ۚ وَإِمَّا يُنْسِيَنَّكَ الشَّيْطَانُ فَلَا تَقْعُدْ بَعْدَ الذِّكْرَىٰ مَعَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ
Wa ‘Idhā Ra’ayta Al-Ladhīna Yakhūđūna Āyātinā Fa’a`riđ `Anhum Ĥattá Yakhūđū Ĥadīthin Ghayrihi ۚ Wa ‘Immā Yunsiyannaka Ash-Shayţānu Falā Taq`ud Ba`da Adh-Dhikrá Ma`a Al-Qawmi Až-Žālimīna
6:68 And when you see those who engage in vain talks/ offensive/ false conversation/ ridicule/ idle talk about Our Verses, then turn away from them until they engage in a talk/ topic/ conversation other than it/ that. And if the Satan causes you to forget, then do not ˹continue to˺ sit after the reminder/ remembrance with the wrongdoing people.
68. Wa izaa ra aital lazeena yakhoodoona feee Aayaatinaa fa a’rid ‘anhum hattaa yakkhoodoo fee hadeesin ghairih; wa immaa yunsiyannakash Shaitaanu falaa taq’ud ba’dazzikraa ma’al qawmiz zaalimeen
69. وَمَا عَلَى الَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَ مِنْ حِسَابِهِمْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ وَلَٰكِنْ ذِكْرَىٰ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ
Wa Mā `Alá Al-Ladhīna Yattaqūna Min Ĥisābihim Min Shay’in Wa Lakin Dhikrá La`allahum Yattaqūna
6:69 And on/ of those who fear Allah are not ˹accountable˺ of anything from their (i.e., wrongdoers) account; but to remind them, so that they (i.e., wrongdoers) may fear Allah.
69. Wa maa ‘alal lazeena yattaqoona min hisaabihim min shai’inw wa laakin zikraa la’allahum yattaqoon
70. وَذَرِ الَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا دِينَهُمْ لَعِبًا وَلَهْوًا وَغَرَّتْهُمُ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا ۚ وَذَكِّرْ بِهِ أَنْ تُبْسَلَ نَفْسٌ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ لَيْسَ لَهَا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَلِيٌّ وَلَا شَفِيعٌ وَإِنْ تَعْدِلْ كُلَّ عَدْلٍ لَا يُؤْخَذْ مِنْهَا ۗ أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ أُبْسِلُوا بِمَا كَسَبُوا ۖ لَهُمْ شَرَابٌ مِنْ حَمِيمٍ وَعَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْفُرُونَ
Wa Dhari Al-Ladhīna Attakhadhū Dīnahum La`ibāan Wa Lahwan Wa Gharrat/humu Al-Ĥayāatu Ad-Dunyā ۚ Wa Dhakkir Bihi~ ‘An Tubsala Nafsun Bimā Kasabat Laysa Lahā Min Dūni Allāhi Wa Līyun Wa Lā Shafī`un Wa ‘In Ta`dil Kulla `Adlin Yu’ukhadh Minhā ۗ ‘Ūlā’ika Al-LadhīnaUbsilū Bimā Kasabū ۖ Lahum Sharābun Min Ĥamīmin Wa `AdhābunAlīmun Bimā Kānū Yakfurūna
6:70 And leave those who take their religion as a play and amusement/ entertainment and the life of the world has deluded/ deceived them. But remind ˹them˺ with it (i.e., Quran), lest/ that a soul is given up to destruction for what it has earned, there is not for it (i.e., soul) any protector and nor any intercessor from besides Allah. And if it offers ransomevery ˹possible˺ ransom, it will not be taken from it. Those are the ones who are given to destruction for what they earned. For them will be a drink of boiling water and a painful punishment because they used to disbelieve.
70. Wa zaril lazeenat takhazoo deenahum la’ibanwwa lahwanw wa gharrat humul ha yaatud dunyaa; wa zakkir biheee an tubsala nafsum bimaa kasabat laisa lahaa min doonil laahi waliyyunw wa laa shafee’unw wa in ta’dil kulla ‘adlil laa yu’khaz minhaa; ulaaa ‘ikal lazeena ubsiloo bimaa kasaboo lahum sharaabum min hameeminw wa ‘azaabun aleemum bimaa kaanoo yakkfuroon (section 8)
71. قُلْ أَنَدْعُو مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنْفَعُنَا وَلَا يَضُرُّنَا وَنُرَدُّ عَلَىٰ أَعْقَابِنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَانَا اللَّهُ كَالَّذِي اسْتَهْوَتْهُ الشَّيَاطِينُ فِي الْأَرْضِ حَيْرَانَ لَهُ أَصْحَابٌ يَدْعُونَهُ إِلَى الْهُدَى ائْتِنَا ۗ قُلْ إِنَّ هُدَى اللَّهِ هُوَ الْهُدَىٰ ۖ وَأُمِرْنَا لِنُسْلِمَ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
Qul Anad`ū Min Dūni Allāhi Yanfa`unā Wa Lā Yađurrunā Wa Nuraddu `Alá ‘A`qābinā Ba`daIdh Hadānā Al-Lahu Kālladhī Astahwat/hu Ash-Shayāţīnu Al-‘Arđi Ĥayrāna Lahu~ ‘Aşĥābun Yad`ūnahu~ ‘Ilá Al-Hudá A’tinā ۗ Qul ‘Inna Hudá Allāhi Huwa Al-Hudá ۖ Wa ‘Umirnā Linuslima Lirabbi Al-`Ālamīna
6:71 Say, ˹to them, O Prophet˺ “Shall/ Should we call from besides Allah what does/can not benefits us and nor harms us, and we turn back on our heels after when Allah has guided us? ˹If we do so, we will be˺ like the one whom the Satan has enticed/ tempted in the earth, confused, ˹though˺ he has companions who call him towards the guidance, ˹saying˺, ‘Come to us.'” Say, ˹O Prophet˺ “Indeed, the Guidance of Allah, it is the ˹only˺ Guidance, and we have been commanded that we submit to the Lord of the worlds

71. Qul anad’oo min doonil laahi maa laa yanfa’unaa wa laa yadurrunaa wa nuraddu ‘alaaa a’qaabina ba’da iz hadaanal laahu kallazis tahwat hush Shayaateenu fil ardi hairaana lahooo ashaabuny yad’oo nahooo ilal huda’ tinaa; qul inna hudal laahi huwal hudaa wa umirnaa linuslima li Rabbil ‘aalameen
72. وَأَنْ أَقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَاتَّقُوهُ ۚ وَهُوَ الَّذِي إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ
Wa ‘AnAqīmū Aş-Şalāata Wa Attaqūhu ۚ Wa Huwa Al-LadhīIlayhi Tuĥsharūna
6:72 And to establish the prayer and fear Him. And He is the One, towards Him you will be gathered.
72. Wa an aqeemus Salaata wattaqooh; wa Huwal lazeee ilaihi tuhsharoon
73. وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ بِالْحَقِّ ۖ وَيَوْمَ يَقُولُ كُنْ فَيَكُونُ ۚ قَوْلُهُ الْحَقُّ ۚ وَلَهُ الْمُلْكُ يَوْمَ يُنْفَخُ فِي الصُّورِ ۚ عَالِمُ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ ۚ وَهُوَ الْحَكِيمُ الْخَبِيرُ
Wa Huwa Al-Ladhī Khalaqa As-Samāwāti Wa Al-‘Arđa Bil-Ĥaqqi ۖ Wa Yawma Yaqūlu Kun Fayakūnu ۚ Qawluhu Al-Ĥaqqu ۚ Wa Lahu Al-Mulku Yawma Yunfakhu Aş-Şūri ۚ `Ālimu Al-Ghaybi Wa Ash-Shahādati ۚ Wa Huwa Al-Ĥakīmu Al-Khabīr
6:73 And it is He Who created the heavens and the earth in truth. And the Day He says,Beand it is, His word is the truth. And for Him is the Dominion/ Authority on the Day the trumpet will be blown in/ into. He is All-Knower of the unseen and the seen. And He is the All-Wise, the All-Aware.
73. Wa Huwal lazee khalaqas samaawaati wal arda bilhaqq; wa Yawma yaqoolu kun fa yakoon; Qawluhul haqq; wa lahul mulku Yawma yunfakhu fis Soor; ‘Aalimul Ghaibi wash shahaadah; wa Huwal Hakeemul Khabeer
74. وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ لِأَبِيهِ آزَرَ أَتَتَّخِذُ أَصْنَامًا آلِهَةً ۖ إِنِّي أَرَاكَ وَقَوْمَكَ فِي ضَلَالٍ مُبِينٍ
Wa ‘Idh Qāla Ibrāhīmu Li’abīhi ĀzaraAtattakhidhu Aşnāmāan Ālihatan ۖInnī Arāka Wa Qawmaka Đalālin Mubīnin
6:74 And ˹remember˺ when Abraham said to his father Aazar, “Do you take idols as gods? Indeed I, I see you and your people in clear error.”
74. Wa iz qaala Ibraaheemu li abeehi Aazara a-tattakhizu asnaaman aalihatan inneee araaka wa qawmaka fee dalaalim mubeen
75. وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُرِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ مَلَكُوتَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَلِيَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُوقِنِينَ
Wa Kadhalika Nurī Ibrāhīma Malakūta As-Samāwāti Wa Al-‘Arđi Wa Liyakūna Mina Al-Mūqinīna
6:75 And thus did We show Abraham the kingdom/s of the heavens and the earth, so that he would be among the ones who are certain ˹in faith˺
75. Wa kazaalika nureee Ibraaheema malakootas samaawaati wal ardi wa liyakoona minal mooqineen
76. فَلَمَّا جَنَّ عَلَيْهِ اللَّيْلُ رَأَىٰ كَوْكَبًا ۖ قَالَ هَٰذَا رَبِّي ۖ فَلَمَّا أَفَلَ قَالَ لَا أُحِبُّ الْآفِلِينَ
Falammā Janna `Alayhi Al-Laylu Ra’á Kawkabāan ۖ Qāla Hādhā Rabbī ۖ Falammā Afala Qāla Uĥibbu Al-‘Āfilīna
6:76 So when the night covered over him, he ˹Abraham˺ saw a star. He ˹Abraham˺ said,This is my Lord.But when it set, he ˹Abraham˺ saidI do not like the ones that set.
76. Falammaa janna ‘alaihil lailu ra aa kawkabaan qaala haaza Rabbee falammaaa afala qaala laaa uhibbul aafileen
77. فَلَمَّا رَأَى الْقَمَرَ بَازِغًا قَالَ هَٰذَا رَبِّي ۖ فَلَمَّا أَفَلَ قَالَ لَئِنْ لَمْ يَهْدِنِي رَبِّي لَأَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الضَّالِّينَ
Falammā Ra’á Al-Qamara Bāzighāan Qāla Hādhā Rabbī ۖ Falammā Afala Qāla La’in Lam Yahdinī Rabbī La’akūnanna Mina Al-Qawmi Ađ-Đāllīna
6:77 When he saw the moon rising he said,This is my Lord.But when it set, he said,If my Lord does not guide me, I will surely be among the people who went astray.
77. Falammmaa ra al qamara baazighan qaala haazaa Rabbee falammaaa afala qaala la’il lam yahdinee Rabbee la akoonanna minal qawmid daaalleen
78. فَلَمَّا رَأَى الشَّمْسَ بَازِغَةً قَالَ هَٰذَا رَبِّي هَٰذَا أَكْبَرُ ۖ فَلَمَّا أَفَلَتْ قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ إِنِّي بَرِيءٌ مِمَّا تُشْرِكُونَ
Falammā Ra’á Ash-Shamsa Bāzighatan Qāla Hādhā Rabbī Hādhā Akbaru ۖ Falammā Afalat Qāla Qawmi Innī Barī’un Mimmā Tushrikūna
6:78 When he saw the sun rising he said,This is my Lord, this is greater.” But when it set, he said, “O my people! Indeed, I am free of what you associate ˹with Allah in worship˺.”
78. Falammaa ra ashshamsa baazighatan qaala haazaa Rabbee haazaaa akbaru falammaaa afalat qaala yaa qawmi innee bareee’um mimmaa tushrikoon
79. إِنِّي وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِيَ لِلَّذِي فَطَرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ حَنِيفًا ۖ وَمَا أَنَا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ
Innī Wajjahtu Wajhiya Lilladhī Faţara As-Samāwāti Wa Al-‘Arđa Ĥanīfāan Wa Mā ۖ ‘Anā Mina Al-Mushrikīna
6:79 Indeed, I I have turned my face to the One Who created the heavens and the earth as a true monotheist, and I am not one of the polytheists/ those who associate partners ˹with Allah˺.
79. Innnee wajjahtu wajhiya lillazee fataras samaawaati wal arda haneefanw wa maaa ana minal mushrikeen
80. وَحَاجَّهُ قَوْمُهُ ۚ قَالَ أَتُحَاجُّونِّي فِي اللَّهِ وَقَدْ هَدَانِ ۚ وَلَا أَخَافُ مَا تُشْرِكُونَ بِهِ إِلَّا أَنْ يَشَاءَ رَبِّي شَيْئًا ۗ وَسِعَ رَبِّي كُلَّ شَيْءٍ عِلْمًا ۗ أَفَلَا تَتَذَكَّرُونَ
Wa Ĥājjahu Qawmuhu ۚ Qāla ‘Atuĥājjūnī Al-Lahi Wa Qad Hadāni ۚ Wa Lā ‘Akhāfu Tushrikūna Bihi~ ‘Illā ‘An Yashā’a Rabbī Shay’āan ۗ Wasi`a Rabbī Kulla Shay’in `Ilmāan ۗ ‘Afalā Tatadhakkarūna
6:80 And his people argued with him. He ˹Abraham˺ said,Do you argue with me concerning Allah while certainly He ˹Allah˺ has guided me? And I do not fear of what you associate with Him ˹and will not be harmed/ none can harm me˺ unless that my Lord wills anything/ something. My Lord Encompasses every thing in knowledge. Then will you not remember?
80. Wa haaajjahoo qawmuh; qaala a-tuh’haaajjooonnee fillaahi wa qad hadaan; wa laaa akhaafu maa tushrikoona bihee illaaa ai yashaaa’a Rabbee shai’anw wasi’a Rabbee kulla shai’in ‘ilman afalaa tatazakkaroon
81. وَكَيْفَ أَخَافُ مَا أَشْرَكْتُمْ وَلَا تَخَافُونَ أَنَّكُمْ أَشْرَكْتُمْ بِاللَّهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهِ عَلَيْكُمْ سُلْطَانًا ۚ فَأَيُّ الْفَرِيقَيْنِ أَحَقُّ بِالْأَمْنِ ۖ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
Wa KayfaAkhāfu Ashraktum Wa Lā Takhāfūna Annakum Ashraktum Billāhi Lam Yunazzil Bihi `Alaykum Sulţānāan ۚ Fa’ayyu Al-FarīqayniAĥaqqu Bil-‘Amni ۖ ‘In Kuntum Ta`lamūna
6:81 And how could I fear what you associate ˹with Allah˺ while you do not fear that you have associated ˹others˺ with Allah that for which He ˹Allah˺ did not send down any authority to you. So which of the two parties/ groups has more right to security, ˹tell me˺ if you know?”
81. Wa kaifa akhaafu maaa ashraktum wa laa takhaafoona annakum ashraktum billaahi maa lam yunazzil bihee ‘alaikum sultaanaa; fa aiyul fareeqaini ahaqqu bil amni in kuntum ta’lamoon
82. الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَلَمْ يَلْبِسُوا إِيمَانَهُمْ بِظُلْمٍ أُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمُ الْأَمْنُ وَهُمْ مُهْتَدُونَ
Al-LadhīnaĀmanū Wa Lam Yalbisū Īmānahum Bižulmin ‘Ūlā’ika Lahumu Al-‘Amnu Wa Hum Muhtadūna
6:82 Those who believed and did not mix their belief/ faith with wrong/ wrongdoing, those, for them, is the security and they are rightly guided.
82. Allazeena aamanoo wa lam yalbisooo eemaanahum bizulmin ulaaa’ika lahumul amnu wa hum muhtadoon (section 9)
83. وَتِلْكَ حُجَّتُنَا آتَيْنَاهَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَىٰ قَوْمِهِ ۚ نَرْفَعُ دَرَجَاتٍ مَنْ نَشَاءُ ۗ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٌ
Wa Tilka Ĥujjatunā Ātaynāhā Ibrāhīma `Alá Qawmihi ۚ Narfa`u Darajātin Man Nashā’u ۗInna Rabbaka Ĥakīmun `Alīmun
6:83 And this was Our argument, We gave it to Abraham against his people. We raise by degrees whom We will. Indeed, your Lord is All-Wise, All-Knowing.
83. Wa tilka hujjatunaaa aatainaahaaa Ibraaheema ‘alaa qawmih; narfa’u darajaatim man nashaaa’; inna Rabbaka Hakeemun ‘Aleem
84. وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ إِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ ۚ كُلًّا هَدَيْنَا ۚ وَنُوحًا هَدَيْنَا مِنْ قَبْلُ ۖ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِهِ دَاوُودَ وَسُلَيْمَانَ وَأَيُّوبَ وَيُوسُفَ وَمُوسَىٰ وَهَارُونَ ۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
Wa Wahabnā Lahu~ ‘Isĥāqa Wa Ya`qūba ۚ Kullāan Hadaynā ۚ Wa Nūĥāan Hadaynā Min Qablu ۖ Wa Min Dhurrīyatihi Dāwūda Wa Sulaymāna Wa ‘Ayyūba Wa Yūsufa Wa Mūsá Wa Hārūna ۚ Wa Kadhalika Najzī Al-Muĥsinīna
6:84 And We bestowed/ blessed /granted /gave to him Isaac ˹Ishaq˺ and Jacob ˹Yaqub˺, all ˹of them˺ We guided. And Nuh, We guided from before; and among his descendents: David ˹Dawood˺ and Solomon ˹Sulaiman˺ and Job ˹Ayyub˺ and Joseph ˹Yusuf˺ and Moses ˹Musa˺ and Aaron ˹Harun˺. And thus We reward the good-doers.
84. Wa wahabnaa lahoo ishaaqa wa ya’qoob; kullan hadainaa; wa Noohan hadainaa min qablu wa min zurriyyatihee Daawooda wa Sulaimaana wa Ayyooba wa Yoosufa wa Moosaa wa Haaroon; wa kazaalika najzil muhsineen
85. وَزَكَرِيَّا وَيَحْيَىٰ وَعِيسَىٰ وَإِلْيَاسَ ۖ كُلٌّ مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
Wa Zakarīyā Wa Yaĥyá Wa `Īsá Wa ‘Ilyāsa ۖ Kullun Mina Aş-Şāliĥīna
6:85 And Zachariah ˹Zakariya˺ and John ˹Yahya˺ and Jesus ˹Isa˺ and Elias ˹Ilyas˺ all were of the righteous.
85. Wa Zakariyyaa wa Yahyaa wa ‘Eesaa wa Illyaasa kullum minas saaliheen
86. وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ وَالْيَسَعَ وَيُونُسَ وَلُوطًا ۚ وَكُلًّا فَضَّلْنَا عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ
Wa ‘Ismā`īla Wa Al-Yasa`a Wa Yūnus Wa Lūţāan ۚ Wa Kullāan Fađđalnā `Alá Al-`Ālamīna
6:86 And Ishmael ˹Ismail˺ and Elisha ˹Al-Yasaa˺ and Jonah ˹Yunus˺ and Lot ˹Lut˺, and all ˹of them˺ We preferred over the worlds/ nations.
86. Wa Ismaa’eela wal Yasa’a wa Yoonusa wa Lootaa; wa kullan faddalnaa ‘alal ‘aalameen
87. وَمِنْ آبَائِهِمْ وَذُرِّيَّاتِهِمْ وَإِخْوَانِهِمْ ۖ وَاجْتَبَيْنَاهُمْ وَهَدَيْنَاهُمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ
Wa Min ‘Ābā’ihim Wa Dhurrīyātihim Wa ‘Ikhwānihim ۖ Wa Ajtabaynāhum Wa HadaynāhumIlá Şirāţin Mustaqīmin
6:87 And from their fathers and their descendents and their brothers and We chose them and We guided them to a Straight Path,
87. Wa min aabaaa’ihim wa zurriyyaatihim wa ikhwaanihim wajtabainaahum wa hadainaahum ilaa Siraatim Mustaqeem
88. ذَٰلِكَ هُدَى اللَّهِ يَهْدِي بِهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ ۚ وَلَوْ أَشْرَكُوا لَحَبِطَ عَنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
Dhālika Hudá Allāhi Yahdī Bihi Man Yashā’u Min `Ibādihi ۚ Wa LawAshrakū Laĥabiţa `Anhum Kānū Ya`malūna
6:88 That is the Guidance of Allah, He guides with it whom/ whoever He wills of His slaves. But if they had associated partners/ others with Allah, surely whatever they used to do would be worthless for them.
88. Zaalika hudal laahi yahdee bihee mai yashaaa’u min ‘ibaadih; wa law ashrakoo lahabita ‘anhum maa kaanoo ya’maloon
89. أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ آتَيْنَاهُمُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحُكْمَ وَالنُّبُوَّةَ ۚ فَإِنْ يَكْفُرْ بِهَا هَٰؤُلَاءِ فَقَدْ وَكَّلْنَا بِهَا قَوْمًا لَيْسُوا بِهَا بِكَافِرِينَ
‘Ūlā’ika Al-LadhīnaĀtaynāhumu Al-Kitāba Wa Al-Ĥukma Wa An-Nubūwata ۚ Fa’in Yakfur Bihā Hā’uulā’ Faqad Wa Kkalnā Bihā Qawmāan Laysū Bihā Bikāfirīna
6:89 Those – are the ones to whom We gave them the Book and the judgment/ wisdom/  and the Prophethood. But if these (i.e., pagans) disbelieve in it (i.e., message), then indeed, We have ˹already˺ entrusted it to a people who are not disbelievers in it (i.e., message).
89. Ulaaa’ikal lazeena aatainaahumul Kitaaba wal hukma wan Nubuwwah; fa iny yakfur bihaa haaa’ulaaa’i faqad wakkalnaa bihaa qawmal laisoo bihaa bikaafireen
90. أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ هَدَى اللَّهُ ۖ فَبِهُدَاهُمُ اقْتَدِهْ ۗ قُلْ لَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا ۖ إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرَىٰ لِلْعَالَمِينَ
‘Ūlā’ika Al-Ladhīna Hadá Allāhu ۖ Fabihudāhumu Aqtadihi ۗ Qul ‘As’alukum `AlayhiAjrāan ۖ ‘In Huwa ‘Illā Dhikrá Lil`ālamīna
6:90 Those ˹prophets˺ were the ones whom Allah has guided, so/ then you ˹O Prophet˺ follow from their guidance. Say,I do not ask you any reward for it (i.e., message). It is not/ nothing but a reminder for the worlds/ nations.
90. Ulaaa’ikal lazeena hadal laahu fabihudaahumuq tadih; qul laaa as’alukum ‘alaihi ajran in huwa illaa zikraa lil ‘aalameen (section 10)
91. وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ إِذْ قَالُوا مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ بَشَرٍ مِنْ شَيْءٍ ۗ قُلْ مَنْ أَنْزَلَ الْكِتَابَ الَّذِي جَاءَ بِهِ مُوسَىٰ نُورًا وَهُدًى لِلنَّاسِ ۖ تَجْعَلُونَهُ قَرَاطِيسَ تُبْدُونَهَا وَتُخْفُونَ كَثِيرًا ۖ وَعُلِّمْتُمْ مَا لَمْ تَعْلَمُوا أَنْتُمْ وَلَا آبَاؤُكُمْ ۖ قُلِ اللَّهُ ۖ ثُمَّ ذَرْهُمْ فِي خَوْضِهِمْ يَلْعَبُونَ
Wa Mā Qadarū Allaha Ĥaqqa Qadrihi~ ‘Idh Qālū Anzala Allāhu `Alá Basharin Min Shay’in ۗ Qul Man Anzala Al-Kitāba Al-Ladhī Jā’a Bihi Mūsá Nūrāan Wa Hudan Lilnnāsi ۖ Taj`alūnahu Qarāţīsa Tubdūnahā Wa Tukhfūna Kathīrāan ۖ Wa `Ullimtum Lam Ta`lamū Antum Wa Lā ‘Ābā’uukum ۖ Quli Allāhu ۖ Thumma Dharhum Khawđihim Yal`abūna
6:91 And they did not appraise Allah His true appraisal, when they said, Allah has not revealed of anything on a human being.” Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Who then revealed the Book which Moses ˹Musa˺ brought it/ with him/ thereby as a light and guidance for the people? You make it as scrolls: you disclose ˹some of˺ it and you conceal much of it. And you were taught what you did not knew and nor did your forefathers.Say, “Allah ˹revealed it˺.” Then leave them playing in their discourse/ idle talk.

6:91 And (did) not they appraise Allah (with) true (his) appraisal, when they said, Not revealed Allah on a human being [of] anything.” Say,Who revealed the Book which brought [it] Musa (as) a light and guidance for the people? You make it (into) parchments, you disclose (some of) it and you conceal much (of it). And you were taught what not knew you and not your forefathers.Say, “Allah (revealed it).” Then leave them in their discourseplaying.
91. Wa maa qadarul laaha haqqa qadriheee iz qaaloo maaa anzalal laahu ‘alaa basharim min shai’; qul man anzalal Kitaabal lazee jaaa’a bihee Moosaa nooranw wa hudal linnaasi taj’aloonahoo qaraateesa tubdoonahaa wa tukhfoona kaseeranw wa ‘ullimtum maa lam ta’lamooo antum wa laaa aabaaa’ukum qulil laahu summa zarhum fee khawdihim yal’aboon
92. وَهَٰذَا كِتَابٌ أَنْزَلْنَاهُ مُبَارَكٌ مُصَدِّقُ الَّذِي بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَلِتُنْذِرَ أُمَّ الْقُرَىٰ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهَا ۚ وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ ۖ وَهُمْ عَلَىٰ صَلَاتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُونَ
Wa Hadhā KitābunAnzalnāhu Mubārakun Muşaddiqu Al-Ladhī Bayna Yadayhi Wa Litundhira Umma Al-Qurá Wa Man Ĥawlahā ۚ Wa Al-Ladhīna Yu’uminūna Bil-‘Ākhirati Yu’uminūna Bihi ۖ Wa Hum `Alá Şalātihim Yuĥāfižūna
6:92 And this is a blessed Book, We have revealed it, confirming that which is between his hands (i.e., earlier revelations), so that you may warn the Mother of the Cities and who are around it. And those who believe in the Hereafter, they believe in it, and they are guarding (i.e., performing) over their prayers.
92. Wa haazaa Kitaabun anzalnaahu Mubaarakum musaddiqul lazee bainaa yadaihi wa litunzira ummal Quraa wa man hawlahaa; wallazeena yu’minoona bil Aakhirati yu’minoona bihee wa hum’alaa Salaatihim yuhaafizoon
93. وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَىٰ عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ قَالَ أُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ وَلَمْ يُوحَ إِلَيْهِ شَيْءٌ وَمَنْ قَالَ سَأُنْزِلُ مِثْلَ مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ ۗ وَلَوْ تَرَىٰ إِذِ الظَّالِمُونَ فِي غَمَرَاتِ الْمَوْتِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ بَاسِطُو أَيْدِيهِمْ أَخْرِجُوا أَنْفُسَكُمُ ۖ الْيَوْمَ تُجْزَوْنَ عَذَابَ الْهُونِ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ غَيْرَ الْحَقِّ وَكُنْتُمْ عَنْ آيَاتِهِ تَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
Wa ManAžlamu Mimmani Aftará `Alá Allāhi Kadhibāan Aw Qāla Ūĥiya Ilayya Wa Lam Yūĥa Ilayhi Shay’un Wa Man Qāla Sa’unzilu Mithla Anzala Allāhu ۗ Wa Law Tará Idhi Až-Žālimūna Ghamarāti Al-Mawti Wa Al-Malā’ikatu Bāsiţū Aydīhim Akhrijū Anfusakumu ۖ Al-Yawma Tujzawna `Adhāba Al-Hūni Bimā Kuntum Taqūlūna `Alá Allāhi Ghayra Al-Ĥaqqi Wa Kuntum `An Āyātihi Tastakbirūna
6:93 And who is more unjust/ wrong than the one who invents a lie about Allah or says, “It has been revealed to mewhile it was not revealed to him anything, and the one who says, “I will/ can reveal like what Allah has revealed.” And if you ˹O Prophet˺ could see when the wrongdoers are in agonies of death while the Angels are stretching out their hands ˹saying˺, “Discharge your souls! Today you will be recompensed with humiliating punishment because you used to say other than the truth against Allah and you were being arrogant towards His Verses.”

93. Wa man azlamu mimmanif taraa ‘alal laahi kaziban aw qaala oohiya ilaiya wa lam yooha ilaihi shai’un wa man qaala sa unzilu misla maaa anzalal laah; wa law taraaa iziz zaalimoona fee ghamaraatil mawti walmalaaa’ikatu baasitooo aideehim akhrijooo anfusakum; al yawma tujzawna ‘azaabal hooni bimaa kuntum taqooloona ‘alal laahi ghairal haqqi wa kuntum ‘an aayaatihee tastakbiroon
94. وَلَقَدْ جِئْتُمُونَا فُرَادَىٰ كَمَا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَتَرَكْتُمْ مَا خَوَّلْنَاكُمْ وَرَاءَ ظُهُورِكُمْ ۖ وَمَا نَرَىٰ مَعَكُمْ شُفَعَاءَكُمُ الَّذِينَ زَعَمْتُمْ أَنَّهُمْ فِيكُمْ شُرَكَاءُ ۚ لَقَدْ تَقَطَّعَ بَيْنَكُمْ وَضَلَّ عَنْكُمْ مَا كُنْتُمْ تَزْعُمُونَ
Wa Laqad Ji’tumūnā Furādá Kamā Khalaqnākum Awwala Marratin Wa Taraktum Khawwalnākum Warā’a Žuhūrikum ۖ Wa Mā Nará Ma`akum Shufa`ā’akumu Al-Ladhīna Za`amtumAnnahum Fīkum Shurakā’u ۚ Laqad Taqaţţa`a Baynakum Wa Đalla `Ankum Kuntum Taz`umūna
6:94 ˹It will be said to them˺, And you have certainly come to Us alone as We created you the first time, and you have left behind your backs whatever We bestowed (i.e., gave) you . And We do not see your intercessors with you those whom you claimed that they were in your matters partners. Indeed, all ties between you have been severed/ cut off and what you used to claim lost/ failed you.”
94. Wa laqad ji’tumoonaa furaadaa kamaa khalaqnaakum awwala marratinw wa taraktum maa khawwalnaakum waraaa’a zuhoorikum wa maa naraa ma’akum shufa’aaa’ akumul lazeena za’amtum annahum feekum shurakaaa’; laqat taqatta’a bainakum wa dalla ‘annkum maa kuntum taz’umoon (section 11)
95. إِنَّ اللَّهَ فَالِقُ الْحَبِّ وَالنَّوَىٰ ۖ يُخْرِجُ الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ وَمُخْرِجُ الْمَيِّتِ مِنَ الْحَيِّ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمُ اللَّهُ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤْفَكُونَ
Inna Allāha Fāliqu Al-Ĥabbi Wa An-Nawá ۖ Yukhriju Al-Ĥayya Mina Al-Mayyiti Wa Mukhriju Al-Mayyiti Mina Al-Ĥayyi ۚ Dhalikumu Allāhu ۖ Fa’anná Tu’ufakūna
6:95 Indeed, Allah is the Cleaver/ Splitter of the grain and the date-seed. He brings forth the living from the dead and brings forth the dead from the living. That is Allah, so how are you deluded ˹from the truth˺?
95. Innal laaha faaliqul habbi wannawaa yukhrijul haiya minal maiyiti wa mukhrijul maiyiti minal haiy; zaalikumul laahu fa annaa tu’fakoon
96. فَالِقُ الْإِصْبَاحِ وَجَعَلَ اللَّيْلَ سَكَنًا وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ حُسْبَانًا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ الْعَزِيزِ الْعَلِيمِ
Fāliqu Al-‘Işbāĥi Wa Ja`ala Al-Layla Sakanāan Wa Ash-Shamsa Wa Al-Qamara Ĥusbānāan ۚ Dhālika Taqdīru Al-`Azīzi Al-`Alīmi
6:96 He is the Cleaver/ Splitter of the daybreak and He has made the night for rest and the sun and the moon for reckoning/ calculation. That is the ordaining/ decree/ design/ of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing.
96. Faaliqul isbaahi wa ja’alal laila sakananw wash shamsa walqamara husbaanaa; zaalika taqdeerul ‘Azeezil ‘Aleem
97. وَهُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ النُّجُومَ لِتَهْتَدُوا بِهَا فِي ظُلُمَاتِ الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ ۗ قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا الْآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ
Wa Huwa Al-Ladhī Ja`ala Lakumu An-Nujūma Litahtadū Bihā Žulumāti Al-Barri Wa Al-Baĥri ۗ Qad Faşşalnā Al-‘Āyāti Liqawmin Ya`lamūna
6:97 And He is the One Who made the stars for you, so that you may guide yourselves with them in the darkness of the land and the sea. Certainly, We have made the Signs clear for a people who know.
97. Wa Huwal lazee ja’ala lakumun nujooma litahtadoo bihaa fee zulumaatil barri walbahr; qad fassalnal Aayaati liqawminy ya’lamoon
98. وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَنْشَأَكُمْ مِنْ نَفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ فَمُسْتَقَرٌّ وَمُسْتَوْدَعٌ ۗ قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا الْآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَفْقَهُونَ
Wa Huwa Al-Ladhī Ansha’akum Min Nafsin Wāĥidatin Famustaqarrun Wa Mustawda`un ۗ Qad Faşşalnā Al-‘Āyāti Liqawmin Yafqahūn
6:98 And He is the One Who produced you from a single soul, so/ and/ then ˹gave you˺ a place of dwelling and a resting place. Certainly, We have made the Signs clear for a people who understand.
98. Wa huwal lazeee ansha akum min nafsinw waahidatin famustaqarrunw wa mustawda’; qad fassalnal Aayaati liqaw miny-yafqahoon
99. وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَأَخْرَجْنَا بِهِ نَبَاتَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ فَأَخْرَجْنَا مِنْهُ خَضِرًا نُخْرِجُ مِنْهُ حَبًّا مُتَرَاكِبًا وَمِنَ النَّخْلِ مِنْ طَلْعِهَا قِنْوَانٌ دَانِيَةٌ وَجَنَّاتٍ مِنْ أَعْنَابٍ وَالزَّيْتُونَ وَالرُّمَّانَ مُشْتَبِهًا وَغَيْرَ مُتَشَابِهٍ ۗ انْظُرُوا إِلَىٰ ثَمَرِهِ إِذَا أَثْمَرَ وَيَنْعِهِ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكُمْ لَآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ
Wa Huwa Al-LadhīAnzala Mina As-Samā’i Mā’an Fa’akhrajnā Bihi Nabāta Kulli Shay’in Fa’akhrajnā Minhu Khađirāan Nukhriju Minhu Ĥabbāan Mutarākibāan Wa Mina An-Nakhli Min Ţal`ihā Qinwānun Dāniyatun Wa Jannātin MinA`nābin Wa Az-Zaytūna Wa Ar-Rummāna Mushtabihāan Wa Ghayra Mutashābihin ۗ AnžurūIlá Thamarihi~ ‘IdhāAthmara Wa Yan`ihi~ ۚ ‘Inna Dhālikum La’āyātin Liqawmin Yu’uminūna
6:99 And He is the One Who sends down water (i.e., rain) from the sky, then We bring forth with it produce of every/ all thing/s. Then We bring forth from it green plant, from it We bring forth thick clustered grain. And from the date-palm, from its spathe/ sprouting branch clusters of dates hanging low. And gardens of grapes and the olives and the pomegranates resembling and not resembling/ similar. Look at its fruit when it bears fruit and its ripening. Indeed, in that are signs for a people who believe.
99. Wa Huwal lazeee anzala minas samaaa’i maaa’an fa akhrajnaa bihee nabaata kulli shai’in fa akhrajnaa minhu khadiran nukhriju minhu habbam mutaraakibanw wa minan nakhli min tal’ihaa qinwaanun daaniyatunw wa jannaatim min a’naabinw wazzaitoona warrummaana mushtabihanw wa ghaira mutashaabih; unzurooo ilaa samariheee izaaa asmara wa yan’ih; inna fee zaalikum la Aayaatil liqawminy yu’minoon
100. وَجَعَلُوا لِلَّهِ شُرَكَاءَ الْجِنَّ وَخَلَقَهُمْ ۖ وَخَرَقُوا لَهُ بَنِينَ وَبَنَاتٍ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ ۚ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ
Wa Ja`alū Lillāh Shurakā’a Al-Jinna Wa Khalaqahum ۖ Wa Kharaqū Lahu Banīna Wa Banātin Bighayri `Ilmin ۚ Subĥānahu Wa Ta`ālá `Ammā Yaşifūna

6:100 And they place associates with/ for Allah the jinn, even though He ˹Allah˺ has created them (i.e., jinn), and they falsely attribute to Him sons and daughters without knowledge. Glorified is He/ Glory be to Him and Exalted/ High above what they attribute.

100. Wa ja’aloo lillaahi shurakaaa’al jinna wa khalaqa hum wa kharaqoo lahoo baneena wa banaatim bighairi ‘ilm Subhaanahoo wa Ta’aalaa ‘amma yasifoon (section 12)

6. Surah Al-An’am

PART 3 101 TO 165

101. بَدِيعُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۖ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لَهُ وَلَدٌ وَلَمْ تَكُنْ لَهُ صَاحِبَةٌ ۖ وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ ۖ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ
Badī`u As-Samāwāti Wa Al-‘Arđi ۖ ‘Anná Yakūnu Lahu Waladun Wa Lam Takun Lahu Şāĥibatun ۖ Wa Khalaqa Kulla Shay’in ۖ Wa Huwa Bikulli Shay’in `Alīmun

6:101 ˹He is the˺ Originator of the heavens and the earth. How can there be for Him a son/ children while for Him there is no companion, and He created every thing? And He is All-Knower of every thing.

101. Badee’us samaawaati wal ardi annnaa yakoonu lahoo waladunw wa lam takul lahoo saahibatunw wa khalaqa kulla shain’inw wa Huwa bikulli shai’in ‘Aleem
102. ذَٰلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ ۖ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ فَاعْبُدُوهُ ۚ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَكِيلٌ
Dhalikumu Allāhu Rabbukum ۖ ‘Ilāha ‘Illā Huwa ۖ Khāliqu Kulli Shay’in Fā`budūhu ۚ Wa Huwa `Alá Kulli Shay’in Wa Kīlun
6:102 That is Allah your Lord, there is no god except Him, the Creator of every thing, so worship Him. And He is a Guardian on every thing.
102. Zaalikumul laahu Rabbukum laaa ilaaha illaa huwa khaaliqu kulli shai’in fa’budooh; wa huwa ‘alaa kulli shai’inw Wakeel
103. لَا تُدْرِكُهُ الْأَبْصَارُ وَهُوَ يُدْرِكُ الْأَبْصَارَ ۖ وَهُوَ اللَّطِيفُ الْخَبِيرُ
Tudrikuhu Al-‘Abşāru Wa Huwa Yudriku Al-‘Abşāra ۖ Wa Huwa Al-Laţīfu Al-Khabīr
6:103 No vision can grasp Him, but He can grasp all vision/ visions, and He is the All-Subtle, the All-Aware.
103. Laa tudrikuhul absaaru wa Huwa yudrikul absaara wa huwal Lateeful Khabeer
104. قَدْ جَاءَكُمْ بَصَائِرُ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ ۖ فَمَنْ أَبْصَرَ فَلِنَفْسِهِ ۖ وَمَنْ عَمِيَ فَعَلَيْهَا ۚ وَمَا أَنَا عَلَيْكُمْ بِحَفِيظٍ
Qad Jā’akum Başā’iru Min Rabbikum ۖ Faman Abşara Falinafsihi ۖ Wa Man `Amiya Fa`alayhā ۚ Wa Mā Anā `Alaykum Biĥafīžin
6:104 Verily, enlightenment/ clear proofs has/ have come to you from your Lord. So whoever sees it, then it is for ˹the benefit˺ his soul, and whoever is blind to it, then it is against himself. And I am not a guardian over you.
104. Qad jaaa’akum basaaa’iru mir Rabbikum faman absara falinafsihee wa man ‘amiya fa’alaihaa; wa maaa ana ‘alaikum bihafeez
105. وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُصَرِّفُ الْآيَاتِ وَلِيَقُولُوا دَرَسْتَ وَلِنُبَيِّنَهُ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ
Wa Kadhalika Nuşarrifu Al-‘Āyāti Wa Liyaqūlū Darasta Wa Linubayyinahu Liqawmin Ya`lamūna

6:105 And thus We explain the Signs that they may say, “You have studied,” and that We may make it (i.e., Quran) clear for a people who know.

105. Wa kazaalika nusarriful Aayaati wa liyaqooloo darasta wa linubaiyinahoo liqawminy ya’lamoon
106. اتَّبِعْ مَا أُوحِيَ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ رَبِّكَ ۖ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ وَأَعْرِضْ عَنِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ
Attabi` ‘Ūĥiya Ilayka Min Rabbika ۖ Ilāha Illā Huwa ۖ Wa ‘A`riđ `Ani Al-Mushrikīna
6:106 ˹O Prophet!˺ Follow, what has been revealed/ inspired to you from your Lord, there is no god except Him, and turn away from the polytheists (i.e., those who associate others/ partners with Allah).
106. ittabi’ maaa oohiya ilaika mir Rabbika laaa ilaaha illaa Huwa wa a’rid ‘anil mushrikeen
107. وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ مَا أَشْرَكُوا ۗ وَمَا جَعَلْنَاكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَفِيظًا ۖ وَمَا أَنْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِوَكِيلٍ
Wa Law Shā’a Allāhu Ashrakū ۗ Wa Mā Ja`alnāka `Alayhim Ĥafīžāan ۖ Wa Mā Anta `Alayhim Biwakīlin
6:107 And if Allah had willed, they would have not associated partners with Him. And We have not made you a guardian over them, and you are not a manager/ keeper over them.
107. Wa law shaaa’al laahu maaa ashrakoo; wa maa ja’alnaaka ‘alaihim hafeezanw wa maaa anta ‘alaihim biwakeel
108. وَلَا تَسُبُّوا الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ فَيَسُبُّوا اللَّهَ عَدْوًا بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ ۗ كَذَٰلِكَ زَيَّنَّا لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ عَمَلَهُمْ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ مَرْجِعُهُمْ فَيُنَبِّئُهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
Wa Lā Tasubbū Al-Ladhīna Yad`ūna Min Dūni Allāhi Fayasubbū Allaha `Adwan Bighayri `Ilmin ۗ Kadhālika Zayyannā Likulli Ummatin `Amalahum Thumma ‘Ilá Rabbihim Marji`uhum Fayunabbi’uhum Bimā Kānū Ya`malūna
6:108 ˹O believers!˺ And do not insult those who invoke/ call upon from besides Allah, lest/ in case/ or they will insult Allah in enmity/ hostility/ opposition without knowledge. Thus We have made for each nation their deed fair-seeming/ seem fair. Then to their Lord is their return, then He will inform them about what they used to do.

Thus to every community We have made their deed fair-seeming/ seem fair. Then to their Lord (is) their return, then He will inform them about what they used to do.
108. Wa laa tasubbul lazeena yad’oona min doonil laahi fa yasubbul laaha ‘adwam bighairi ‘ilm; kazaalika zaiyannaa likulli ummatin ‘amalahum summa ilaa Rabbihim marji’uhum fa yunabbi’uhum bimaa kaanoo ya’maloon
109. وَأَقْسَمُوا بِاللَّهِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَانِهِمْ لَئِنْ جَاءَتْهُمْ آيَةٌ لَيُؤْمِنُنَّ بِهَا ۚ قُلْ إِنَّمَا الْآيَاتُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ ۖ وَمَا يُشْعِرُكُمْ أَنَّهَا إِذَا جَاءَتْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
Wa ‘Aqsamū Billāhi Jahda Aymānihim La’in Jā’at/humĀyatun Layu’uminunna Bihā ۚ Qul Innamā Al-‘Āyātu `Inda Allāhi ۖ Wa Mā Yush`irukumAnnahā Idhā Jā’at Yu’uminūna
6:109 And they swear their strongest oaths by Allah that if a sign came to them, they would surely believe in it. Say, “The signs are only with Allah.” And what will make you ˹believers˺ perceive/ realize that ˹even˺ when/if it (i.e., a sign) came, they will not believe.
109. Wa aqsamoo billaahi jahda aimaanihim la’in jaaa’at hum Aayatul la yu’minunna bihaa; qul innamal Aayaatu ‘indal laahi wa maa yush’irukum annahaaa izaa jaaa’at laa yu’minoon
110. وَنُقَلِّبُ أَفْئِدَتَهُمْ وَأَبْصَارَهُمْ كَمَا لَمْ يُؤْمِنُوا بِهِ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَنَذَرُهُمْ فِي طُغْيَانِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ
Wa NuqallibuAf’idatahum Wa ‘Abşārahum Kamā Lam Yu’uminū Bihi~ ‘Awwala Marratin Wa Nadharuhum Ţughyānihim Ya`mahūna
6:110 And We will turn their hearts and their sights/ eyes just as they did not believe in it the first time. And We will leave them wandering blindly in their transgression.
110. Wa nuqallibu af’idatahum wa absaarahum kamaa lam yu’minoo biheee awwala marratinw wa nazaruhum fee tughyaanihim ya’mahoon (section 13, End Juz 7)
111. وَلَوْ أَنَّنَا نَزَّلْنَا إِلَيْهِمُ الْمَلَائِكَةَ وَكَلَّمَهُمُ الْمَوْتَىٰ وَحَشَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ قُبُلًا مَا كَانُوا لِيُؤْمِنُوا إِلَّا أَنْ يَشَاءَ اللَّهُ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ يَجْهَلُونَ
Wa LawAnnanā Nazzalnā Ilayhimu Al-Malā’ikata Wa Kallamahumu Al-Mawtá Wa Ĥasharnā `Alayhim Kulla Shay’in Qubulāan Kānū Liyu’uminū ‘IllāAn Yashā’a Allāhu Wa LakinnaAktharahum Yajhalūna
6:111 And ˹even˺ that if We had sent down the Angels to them and the dead spoke to them and We gathered every thing before them face to face, they were not ˹going˺ to believe unless that Allah wills. But most of them are ignorant/ proceed without knowledge.
111. Wa law annanaa nazzal naaa ilaihimul malaaa’ikata wa kallamahumul mawtaa wa hasharnaa ‘alaihim kulla shai’in qubulam maa kaanoo liyu’minooo illaaa ai yashaaa’al laahu wa laakinna aksarahum yajhaloon
112. وَكَذَٰلِكَ جَعَلْنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ عَدُوًّا شَيَاطِينَ الْإِنْسِ وَالْجِنِّ يُوحِي بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَىٰ بَعْضٍ زُخْرُفَ الْقَوْلِ غُرُورًا ۚ وَلَوْ شَاءَ رَبُّكَ مَا فَعَلُوهُ ۖ فَذَرْهُمْ وَمَا يَفْتَرُونَ
Wa Kadhalika Ja`alnā Likulli Nabīyin `Adūwāan Shayāţīna Al-‘Insi Wa Al-Jinni Yūĥī Ba`đuhumIlá Ba`đin Zukhrufa Al-Qawli Ghurūrāan ۚ Wa Law Shā’a Rabbuka Fa`alūhu ۖ Fadharhum Wa Mā Yaftarūna

6:112 And thus We made for every Prophet an enemy devils from the human/s and the jinn, some of them inspiring to others/ another with decorative speech as a deception. But if your Lord had willed, they would not have done it, so leave them and what/ that which they invent.

6:112 And thus We made for every Prophet an enemy devils from the human/s and the jinn, inspiring some of them to others with decorative speech in deception. But if your Lord had willed, they would not have done it, so leave them and what/ that which they invent.
112. Wa kazaalika ja’alnaa likulli nabiyyin ‘aduwwan Shayaateenal insi waljinni yoohee ba’duhum ilaa ba’din zukhrufal qawli ghurooraa; wa law shaaa’a Rabbuka maa fa’aloohu fazarhum wa maa yaftaroon
113. وَلِتَصْغَىٰ إِلَيْهِ أَفْئِدَةُ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ وَلِيَرْضَوْهُ وَلِيَقْتَرِفُوا مَا هُمْ مُقْتَرِفُونَ
Wa LitaşgháIlayhi Af’idatu Al-Ladhīna Yu’uminūna Bil-‘Ākhirati Wa Liyarđawhu Wa Liyaqtarifū Hum Muqtarifūna
6:113 And ˹it is˺ so that the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter may incline to/ towards it, and so that they may be pleased with it and so that they may commit/ earn what they are committing/ earning.
113. Wa litasghaaa ilaihi af’idatul lazeena laa yu’minoona bil Aakhirati wa liyardawhu wa liyaqtarifoo maa hum muqtarifoon
114. أَفَغَيْرَ اللَّهِ أَبْتَغِي حَكَمًا وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلَ إِلَيْكُمُ الْكِتَابَ مُفَصَّلًا ۚ وَالَّذِينَ آتَيْنَاهُمُ الْكِتَابَ يَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهُ مُنَزَّلٌ مِنْ رَبِّكَ بِالْحَقِّ ۖ فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمُمْتَرِينَ
Afaghayra Allāhi Abtaghī Ĥakamāan Wa Huwa Al-LadhīAnzala Ilaykumu Al-Kitāba Mufaşşalāan ۚ Wa Al-LadhīnaĀtaynāhumu Al-Kitāba Ya`lamūnaAnnahu Munazzalun Min Rabbika Bil-Ĥaqqi ۖ Falā Takūnanna Mina Al-Mumtarīna
6:114 ˹Say, O Prophet,˺Then is it other than Allah I should seek as judge, while He is the One Who has revealed to you the Book, explained in detail?” And those to whom We ˹previously˺ gave them the Scripture know that it (i.e., Quran) is sent down from your Lord in truth, so do not be among the ones who doubt.
114. Afaghairal laahi abtaghee hakamanw wa Huwal lazee anzala ilaikumul Kitaaba mufassalaa; wallazeena atai naahumul Kitaaba ya’lamoona annahoo munazzalum mir Rabbika bilhaqqi falaa takoonanna minal mumtareen
115. وَتَمَّتْ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ صِدْقًا وَعَدْلًا ۚ لَا مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمَاتِهِ ۚ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
Wa Tammat Kalimatu Rabbika Şidqāan Wa `Adlāan ۚ Mubaddila Likalimātihi ۚ Wa Huwa As-Samī`u Al-`Alīmu
6:115 And the word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and justice. No one can change His words, and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.
115. Wa tammat Kalimatu Rabbika sidqanw wa ‘adlaa; laa mubaddila li Kalimaatih; wa Huwas Samee’ul ‘Aleem
116. وَإِنْ تُطِعْ أَكْثَرَ مَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ يُضِلُّوكَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۚ إِنْ يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا الظَّنَّ وَإِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَخْرُصُونَ
Wa ‘In Tuţi` ‘Akthara Man Al-‘Arđi Yuđillūka `An Sabīli Allāhi ۚIn Yattabi`ūna ‘Illā Až-Žanna Wa ‘In Hum ‘Illā Yakhruşūna
6:116 ˹O Prophet!˺ And if you obey most of those in the earth, they will mislead you/ they will lead you away from the way of Allah. They follow nothing except assumption, and they do nothing except guess.
116. Wa in tuti’ aksara man fil ardi yudillooka ‘an sabeelil laah; iny yattabi’oona illaz zanna wa in hum illaa yakhrusoon
117. إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ مَنْ يَضِلُّ عَنْ سَبِيلِهِ ۖ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِالْمُهْتَدِينَ
‘Inna Rabbaka Huwa A`lamu Man Yađillu `An Sabīlihi ۖ Wa Huwa ‘A`lamu Bil-Muhtadīna
6:117 Indeed, your Lord, He knows best who strays from His way, and He is most knowing of the ˹rightly˺ guided-ones.
117. Inna rabbaka Huwa a’lamu mai yadillu ‘an sabeelihee wa Huwa a’lamu bilmuhtadeen
118. فَكُلُوا مِمَّا ذُكِرَ اسْمُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ بِآيَاتِهِ مُؤْمِنِينَ
Fakulū Mimmā Dhukira Asmu Allāhi `Alayhi ‘In Kuntum Bi’āyātihi Mu’uminīna
6:118 So eat of that ˹meat˺ upon it/ which the name of Allah is mentioned, if you are believers in His Verses/ Revelations.
118. Fakuloo mimmmaa zukirasmul laahi ‘alaihi in kuntum bi Aayaatihee mu’mineen
119. وَمَا لَكُمْ أَلَّا تَأْكُلُوا مِمَّا ذُكِرَ اسْمُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَقَدْ فَصَّلَ لَكُمْ مَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِلَّا مَا اضْطُرِرْتُمْ إِلَيْهِ ۗ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًا لَيُضِلُّونَ بِأَهْوَائِهِمْ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ ۗ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِالْمُعْتَدِينَ
Wa Mā Lakum ‘Allā Ta’kulū Mimmā Dhukira Asmu Allāhi `Alayhi Wa Qad Faşşala Lakum Ĥarrama `Alaykum ‘Illā AđţurirtumIlayhi ۗ Wa ‘Inna Kathīrāan Layuđillūna Bi’ahwā’ihim Bighayri `Ilmin ۗ ‘Inna Rabbaka HuwaA`lamu Bil-Mu`tadīna

6:119 And what is it for you that you should/ do not eat of that upon which the name of Allah has been mentioned, when indeed, He has explained in detail to you what He has forbidden to you except what you are compelled ˹by necessity˺ to it. And indeed, many surely lead astray/ mislead by their vain desires without knowledge. Indeed, your Lord, He is most knowing of the transgressors.  

6:119 And what for you that not you eat of what has been mentioned (the) name (of) Allah on it, when indeed, He has explained in detail to you what He (has) forbidden to you except what you are compelled to it. And indeed, many surely lead astray by their vain  desires without knowledge. Indeed, your Lord, He is most knowing of the transgressors.
119. Wa maa lakum allaa ta’kuloo mimmaa zukirasmul laahi ‘alaihi wa qad fassala lakum maa harrama ‘alaikum illaa mad turirtum ilaih; wa inna kaseeral la yudilloona bi ahwaaa’ihim bighairi ‘ilm; inna Rabbaka Huwa a’lamu bilmu’tadeen
120. وَذَرُوا ظَاهِرَ الْإِثْمِ وَبَاطِنَهُ ۚ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَكْسِبُونَ الْإِثْمَ سَيُجْزَوْنَ بِمَا كَانُوا يَقْتَرِفُونَ
Wa Dharū Žāhira Al-‘Ithmi Wa Bāţinahu~ ۚ ‘Inna Al-Ladhīna Yaksibūna Al-‘Ithma Sayujzawna Bimā Kānū Yaqtarifūna
6:120 And leave the sinsopen and the secret. Indeed, those who earn the sin, they will be recompensed for what they used to commit.
120. Wa zaroo zaahiral ismi wa baatinah; innal lazeena yaksiboonal ismaa sa yujzawna bimaa kaanoo yaqtarifoon
121. وَلَا تَأْكُلُوا مِمَّا لَمْ يُذْكَرِ اسْمُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَإِنَّهُ لَفِسْقٌ ۗ وَإِنَّ الشَّيَاطِينَ لَيُوحُونَ إِلَىٰ أَوْلِيَائِهِمْ لِيُجَادِلُوكُمْ ۖ وَإِنْ أَطَعْتُمُوهُمْ إِنَّكُمْ لَمُشْرِكُونَ
Wa Lā Ta’kulū Mimmā Lam Yudhkari Asmu Allāhi `Alayhi Wa ‘Innahu Lafisqun ۗ Wa ‘Inna Ash-Shayāţīna Layūĥūna ‘IláAwliyā’ihim Liyujādilūkum ۖ Wa ‘InAţa`tumūhumInnakum Lamushrikūna
6:121 And do not eat of that upon which the name of Allah has not been mentioned, and indeed, it is grave disobedience. And indeed, the devils inspire to their ˹human˺ friends/ associates/ allies so that they dispute with you, and if you obey them, indeed, you ˹too˺ would be the polytheists.
121. Wa laa ta’kuloo mimmaa lam yuzkaris mullaahi ‘alaihi wa innahoo lafisq; wa innash Shayaateena la yoohoona ilaaa awliyaaa’ihim liyujaadilookum wa in ata’tumoohum innakum lamushrikoon (section 14)
122. أَوَمَنْ كَانَ مَيْتًا فَأَحْيَيْنَاهُ وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُ نُورًا يَمْشِي بِهِ فِي النَّاسِ كَمَنْ مَثَلُهُ فِي الظُّلُمَاتِ لَيْسَ بِخَارِجٍ مِنْهَا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِلْكَافِرِينَ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
Awaman Kāna Maytāan Fa’aĥyaynāhu Wa Ja`alnā Lahu Nūrāan Yamshī Bihi An-Nāsi Kaman Mathaluhu Až-Žulumāti Laysa Bikhārijin Minhā ۚ Kadhālika Zuyyina Lilkāfirīna Kānū Ya`malūna
6:122 Is ˹the one˺ who was dead and We gave him life and We placed for him light he walks with it among the people, like ˹the one˺ who is similar to him ˹who˺ is in the darknesses, he not/ never comes out of it? Thus is made fair-seeming to the disbelievers what they were doing.
122. Awa man kaana maitan fa ahyainaahu wa ja’alnaa lahoo noorany yamshee bihee fin naasi kamamm masaluhoo fiz zulumaati laisa bikhaarijim minhaa; kazaalika zuyyina lilkaafireena maa kaanoo ya’maloon
123. وَكَذَٰلِكَ جَعَلْنَا فِي كُلِّ قَرْيَةٍ أَكَابِرَ مُجْرِمِيهَا لِيَمْكُرُوا فِيهَا ۖ وَمَا يَمْكُرُونَ إِلَّا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ
Wa Kadhalika Ja`alnā Kulli Qaryatin Akābira Mujrimīhā Liyamkurū Fīhā ۖ Wa Mā Yamkurūna Illā Bi’anfusihim Wa Mā Yash`urūna
6:123 And thus We placed in every city the greatest of its criminals, so that they plot in it. And they do not plot except against themselves and they do not perceive/ realize it.
123. Wa kazaalika ja’alnaa fee kulli qaryatin akaabira mujrimeehaa liyamkuroo feehaa wa maa yamkuroona illaa bi anfusihim wa maa yash’uroon
124. وَإِذَا جَاءَتْهُمْ آيَةٌ قَالُوا لَنْ نُؤْمِنَ حَتَّىٰ نُؤْتَىٰ مِثْلَ مَا أُوتِيَ رُسُلُ اللَّهِ ۘ اللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ حَيْثُ يَجْعَلُ رِسَالَتَهُ ۗ سَيُصِيبُ الَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا صَغَارٌ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَعَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ بِمَا كَانُوا يَمْكُرُونَ
Wa ‘Idhā Jā’at/humĀyatun Qālū Lan Nu’umina Ĥattá Nu’utá Mithla Ūtiya Rusulu Allāhi ۘ Allāhu A`lamu Ĥaythu Yaj`alu Risālatahu ۗ Sayuşību Al-LadhīnaAjramū Şaghārun `Inda Allāhi Wa `Adhābun Shadīdun Bimā Kānū Yamkurūna
6:124 And when a Sign comes to them they say,We will never believe until we are given like what was given to the Messengers of Allah.” Allah knows best where He places/ to place His Message. Those who committed crimes a humiliation will afflict from Allah and a severe punishment for what they used to plot.

124. Wa izaa jaaa’athum Aayatun qaaloo lan nu’mina hatta nu’taa misla maaa ootiya Rusulul laah; Allahu a’alamu haisu yaj’alu Risaalatah; sa yuseebul lazeena ajramoo saghaarun ‘indal laahi wa ‘azaabun shadeedum bimaa kaanoo yamkuroon
125. فَمَنْ يُرِدِ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَهْدِيَهُ يَشْرَحْ صَدْرَهُ لِلْإِسْلَامِ ۖ وَمَنْ يُرِدْ أَنْ يُضِلَّهُ يَجْعَلْ صَدْرَهُ ضَيِّقًا حَرَجًا كَأَنَّمَا يَصَّعَّدُ فِي السَّمَاءِ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يَجْعَلُ اللَّهُ الرِّجْسَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
Faman Yuridi Allāhu An Yahdiyahu Yashraĥ Şadrahu Lil’islāmi ۖ Wa Man Yurid ‘An Yuđillahu Yaj`al Şadrahu Đayyiqāan Ĥarajāan Ka’annamā Yaşşa“adu As-Samā’i ۚ Kadhālika Yaj`alu Allāhu Ar-Rijsa `Alá Al-Ladhīna Yu’uminūna

6:125 So whoever Allah wants to guide – He expands/ opens his breast/ chest to Islam/ for submission; and whoever He wants to let him go astray/ leave stray, He makes his breast/ chest tight and constricted as though/ if he were climbing up into the sky. Thus, Allah places the filth/ disgrace/ warth/  on those who do not believe.

6:125 So whoever wants Allah that He guides himHe expands his breast to Islam; and whoever He wants that He lets him go astray He makes his breast tight and constricted as though he (were) climbing into the sky. Thus places Allah the filth on those who (do) not believe.
125. Famai yuridil laahu ai yahdiyahoo yashrah sadrahoo lil islaami wa mai yurid ai yudillahoo yaj’al sadrahoo daiyiqan harajan ka annamaa yassa’ ‘adu fis samaaa’; kazaalika yaj’alul laahur rijsa ‘alal lazeena laa yu’minoon
126. وَهَٰذَا صِرَاطُ رَبِّكَ مُسْتَقِيمًا ۗ قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا الْآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَذَّكَّرُونَ
Wa Hadhā Şirāţu Rabbika Mustaqīmāan ۗ Qad Faşşalnā Al-‘Āyāti Liqawmin Yadhdhakkarūna
6:126 And this is the way of your Lord – perfectly straight. Certainly We have detailed the Verses for a people who take heed/ who are mindfull/ who remember.
126. Wa haazaa siraatu Rabbika Mustaqeemaa; qad fassalnal Aayaati liqawminy yazzakkaroon
127. لَهُمْ دَارُ السَّلَامِ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ ۖ وَهُوَ وَلِيُّهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
Lahum Dāru As-Salāmi `Inda Rabbihim ۖ Wa Huwa Walīyuhum Bimā Kānū Ya`malūna
6:127 For them will be/ They will have Home of Peace with their Lord. And He will be their protecting friend/ Gaurdian because of what they used to do.
127. Lahum daarus salaami ‘inda Rabbihim wa huwa waliyyuhum bimaa kaanoo ya’maloon
128. وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعًا يَا مَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ قَدِ اسْتَكْثَرْتُمْ مِنَ الْإِنْسِ ۖ وَقَالَ أَوْلِيَاؤُهُمْ مِنَ الْإِنْسِ رَبَّنَا اسْتَمْتَعَ بَعْضُنَا بِبَعْضٍ وَبَلَغْنَا أَجَلَنَا الَّذِي أَجَّلْتَ لَنَا ۚ قَالَ النَّارُ مَثْوَاكُمْ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا إِلَّا مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ ۗ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٌ
Wa Yawma Yaĥshuruhum Jamī`āan Yā Ma`shara Al-Jinni Qadi Astakthartum Mina Al-‘Insi ۖ Wa QālaAwliyā’uuhum Mina Al-‘Insi Rabbanā Astamta`a Ba`đunā Biba`đin Wa BalaghnāAjalanā Al-Ladhī Ajjalta Lanā ۚ Qāla An-Nāru Mathwākum Khālidīna FīhāIllā Shā’a Allāhu ۗInna Rabbaka Ĥakīmun `Alīmun
6:128 And the Day He will gather them ˹all˺ together, ˹and will say˺, “O assembly of the jinn! Certainly, you have ˹misled˺ many of the human kind.” And their friends among the human kind/ being will say, “Our Lord some of us profited by others, and we have ˹now˺ reached our term which You appointed for us.He will say,The Fire is your abode/ home, you will abide/ stay in it forever, except for what Allah wills. Indeed, your Lord is All-Wise, All-Knowing.
128. Wa yawma yahshuruhum jamee’ai yaa ma’sharal jinni qadistaksartum minal insi wa qaala awliyaa’uhum minal insi Rabbanas tamta’a ba’dunaa biba’dinw wa balaghnaaa ajalannal lazeee ajjalta lanaa; qaalan Naaru maswaakum khaalideena feehaaa illaa maa shaaa’allaah; inna Rabbaka Hakeemun ‘Aleem
129. وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُوَلِّي بَعْضَ الظَّالِمِينَ بَعْضًا بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ
Wa Kadhalika Nuwallī Ba`đa Až-Žālimīna Ba`đāan Bimā Kānū Yaksibūna
6:129 And thus We make some of the wrongdoers friends to others for what they used to earn.
129. Wa kazaalika nuwallee ba’daz zaalimeena ba’dam bimaa kaanoo yaksiboon (section 15)
130. يَا مَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنْسِ أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ رُسُلٌ مِنْكُمْ يَقُصُّونَ عَلَيْكُمْ آيَاتِي وَيُنْذِرُونَكُمْ لِقَاءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هَٰذَا ۚ قَالُوا شَهِدْنَا عَلَىٰ أَنْفُسِنَا ۖ وَغَرَّتْهُمُ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا وَشَهِدُوا عَلَىٰ أَنْفُسِهِمْ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا كَافِرِينَ
Yā Ma`shara Al-Jinni Wa Al-‘Insi ‘Alam Ya’tikum Rusulun Minkum Yaquşşūna `Alaykum ‘Āyā Tī Wa Yundhirūnakum Liqā’a Yawmikum ۚHādhā Qālū Shahidnā `Alá ۖAnfusinā Wa Gharrat/humu Al-Ĥayā Atu Ad-Dunyā Wa Shahidū `Alá Anfusihim Annahum Kānū Kāfirīna
6:130 ˹Allah will say/ask,˺O assembly of the jinn and the men/ humans! Did Messengers not come to you from among you, relating to you My Verses and warning you of the meeting of this day of yours?” They will say,We bear witness/ testify/ confess against ourselves.” And the life of the world deluded/ deceived them, and they will bear witness/ testify against themselves that they were disbelievers.
130. Yaa ma’sharal jinni wal insi alam ya’tikum Rusulum minkum yaqussoona ‘alaikum Aayaatee wa yunziroonakum liqaaa’a Yawmikum haazaa; qaaloo shahidnaa ‘alaaa anfusinaa wa gharrat humul hayaatud dunyaa wa shahidooo ‘alaa anfusihim annahum kaanoo kaafireen
131. ذَٰلِكَ أَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ رَبُّكَ مُهْلِكَ الْقُرَىٰ بِظُلْمٍ وَأَهْلُهَا غَافِلُونَ
Dhālika ‘An Lam Yakun Rabbuka Muhlika Al-Qurá Bižulmin Wa ‘Ahluhā Ghāfilūna

6:131 This ˹sending of the messengers˺ is because that your Lord is not the one who destroys/ one to destroy the cities for their wrongdoing while their people are unaware ˹of the truth˺.

131. Zaalika al lam yakkur Rabbuka muhlikal quraa bizulminw wa ahluhaa ghaafiloon
132. وَلِكُلٍّ دَرَجَاتٌ مِمَّا عَمِلُوا ۚ وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ
Wa Likullin Darajātun Mimmā `Amilū ۚ Wa Mā Rabbuka Bighāfilin `Ammā Ya`malūna
6:132 And for each ˹will be assigned˺ ranks for what they did. And your Lord is not unaware about what they do.
132. Wa likullin darajaatum mimmaa ‘amiloo; wa maa Rabbuka bighaafilin ‘ammaa ya’maloon
133. وَرَبُّكَ الْغَنِيُّ ذُو الرَّحْمَةِ ۚ إِنْ يَشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ وَيَسْتَخْلِفْ مِنْ بَعْدِكُمْ مَا يَشَاءُ كَمَا أَنْشَأَكُمْ مِنْ ذُرِّيَّةِ قَوْمٍ آخَرِينَ
Wa Rabbuka Al-Ghanīyu Dhū Ar-Raĥmati ۚ ‘In YashaYudh/hibkum Wa Yastakhlif Min Ba`dikum Yashā’u Kamā Ansha’akum Min Dhurrīyati Qawmin Ākharīna
6:133 And your Lord is the Self-Sufficient Possessor of the Mercy. If He wills, He can take you away and grant succession/ bring in your place/ replace from after you to whoever/ whom He wills, ˹just˺ as He raised/ produced you from the descendants of other people.
133. Wa Rabbukal ghaniyyu zur rahmah; iny yasha’ yuz hibkum wa yastakhlif mim ba’dikum maa yashaaa’u kamaaa ansha akum min zurriyyati qawmin aakhareen
134. إِنَّ مَا تُوعَدُونَ لَآتٍ ۖ وَمَا أَنْتُمْ بِمُعْجِزِينَ
Inna Tū`adūna La’ātin ۖ Wa Mā Antum Bimu`jizīna
6:134 Indeed, what you are promised is sure to come. And you can not escape.
134. Inna maa too’adoona la aatinw wa maaa antum bimu’jizeen
135. قُلْ يَا قَوْمِ اعْمَلُوا عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِكُمْ إِنِّي عَامِلٌ ۖ فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ تَكُونُ لَهُ عَاقِبَةُ الدَّارِ ۗ إِنَّهُ لَا يُفْلِحُ الظَّالِمُونَ
Qul Yā Qawmi A`malū `Alá Makānatikum Innī `Āmilun ۖ Fasawfa Ta`lamūna Man Takūnu Lahu `Āqibatu Ad-Dāri ۗInnahu Yufliĥu Až-Žālimūna
6:135 Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ O my people! Work according to your position. Indeed, I am working too. And soon you will know who will have a good home for himself in the end. Indeed the wrongdoers will not succeed.”

135. Qul yaa qawmi’ maloo ‘alaa makaanatikum innee ‘aamilun fasawfa ta’lamoona man takoonu lahoo ‘aaqibatud daar; innahoo laa yuflihuz zaalimoon
136. وَجَعَلُوا لِلَّهِ مِمَّا ذَرَأَ مِنَ الْحَرْثِ وَالْأَنْعَامِ نَصِيبًا فَقَالُوا هَٰذَا لِلَّهِ بِزَعْمِهِمْ وَهَٰذَا لِشُرَكَائِنَا ۖ فَمَا كَانَ لِشُرَكَائِهِمْ فَلَا يَصِلُ إِلَى اللَّهِ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ لِلَّهِ فَهُوَ يَصِلُ إِلَىٰ شُرَكَائِهِمْ ۗ سَاءَ مَا يَحْكُمُونَ
Wa Ja`alū Lillāh Mimmā Dhara’a Mina Al-Ĥarthi Wa Al-‘An`ām Naşībāan Faqālū Hādhā Lillāh Biza`mihim Wa Hadhā Lishurakā’inā ۖ Famā Kāna Lishurakā’ihim Falā Yaşilu ‘Ilá Allāhi ۖ Wa Mā Kāna Lillāh Fahuwa Yaşilu ‘Ilá Shurakā’ihim ۗ Sā’a Yaĥkumūna
6:136 And they (i.e., the polytheists) assign to Allah a share of the crops and the cattle of what He ˹Allah˺ produced/ created, and they say,This ˹portion˺ is for Allah,” by their claim,And this ˹portion˺ is for our partners/ associates (i.e., associate-gods).But ˹the portion˺ what is for their partners (i.e., associate-gods) does not reach to Allah, while ˹the portion˺ what is for Allah then it reaches to their partners. Evil is what they judge.
136. Wa ja’aloo lillaahi mimmaa zara-a minal harsi walan’aami naseeban faqaaloo haazaa lillaahi biza’mihim wa haaza lishurakaa’inaa famaa kaana lishurakaaa’ihim falaa yasilu ilal laahi wa maa kaana lillaahi fahuwa yasilu ilaa shurakaaa’ihim; saaa’a maa yahkumoon
137. وَكَذَٰلِكَ زَيَّنَ لِكَثِيرٍ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ قَتْلَ أَوْلَادِهِمْ شُرَكَاؤُهُمْ لِيُرْدُوهُمْ وَلِيَلْبِسُوا عَلَيْهِمْ دِينَهُمْ ۖ وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ مَا فَعَلُوهُ ۖ فَذَرْهُمْ وَمَا يَفْتَرُونَ
Wa Kadhalika Zayyana Likathīrin Mina Al-Mushrikīna Qatla Awlādihim Shurakā’uuhum Liyurdūhum Wa Liyalbisū `Alayhim Dīnahum ۖ Wa Law Shā’a Allāhu Fa`alūhu ۖ Fadharhum Wa Mā Yaftarūna
6:137 And likewise their partners/ associates made pleasing to many of the polytheists the killing of their children – so that they may ruin them and that they make their religion confusing to them. And if Allah had willed they would not have done so. So leave them and what they invent.
137. Wa kazaalika zaiyana likaseerim minal mushrikeena qatla awlaadihim shurakaaa’uhum liyurdoohum wa liyalbisoo ‘alaihim deenahum wa law shaaa’al laahu maa fa’aloohu fazarhum wa maa yaftaroon
138. وَقَالُوا هَٰذِهِ أَنْعَامٌ وَحَرْثٌ حِجْرٌ لَا يَطْعَمُهَا إِلَّا مَنْ نَشَاءُ بِزَعْمِهِمْ وَأَنْعَامٌ حُرِّمَتْ ظُهُورُهَا وَأَنْعَامٌ لَا يَذْكُرُونَ اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهَا افْتِرَاءً عَلَيْهِ ۚ سَيَجْزِيهِمْ بِمَا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ
Wa Qālū Hadhihi~ ‘An`āmun Wa Ĥarthun Ĥijrun Yaţ`amuhā ‘Illā Man Nashā’u Biza`mihim Wa ‘An`āmun Ĥurrimat Žuhūruhā Wa ‘An`āmun Yadhkurūna Asma Allāhi `Alayhā Aftirā’an `Alayhi ۚ Sayajzīhim Bimā Kānū Yaftarūna
6:138 And they say,These cattle and crops are forbidden, no one/ none can eat them except whom we will/ allow,” by their claim. And ˹some˺ cattle, their backs are forbidden ˹to use˺ (i.e., for riding or loading), and ˹some˺ cattle upon which ˹during slaughter˺ they do not mention the name of Allah inventing ˹lies˺ against Him. He will recompense/ repay them for what they used to invent.
138. Wa qaaloo haaziheee an’aamunw wa harsun hijrun laa yat’amuhaaa illaa man nashaaa’u biza’mihim wa an’aamun hurrimat zuhooruhaa wa an’aamul laa yazkuroonas mal laahi ‘alaihaf tiraaa’an ‘alaiyyh; sa yajzeehim bimaa kaanoo yaftaroon
139. وَقَالُوا مَا فِي بُطُونِ هَٰذِهِ الْأَنْعَامِ خَالِصَةٌ لِذُكُورِنَا وَمُحَرَّمٌ عَلَىٰ أَزْوَاجِنَا ۖ وَإِنْ يَكُنْ مَيْتَةً فَهُمْ فِيهِ شُرَكَاءُ ۚ سَيَجْزِيهِمْ وَصْفَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّهُ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٌ
Wa Qālū Buţūni Hadhihi Al-‘An`āmi Khālişatun Lidhukūrinā Wa Muĥarramun `Alá Azwājinā ۖ Wa ‘In Yakun Maytatan Fahum Fīhi Shurakā’u ۚ Sayajzīhim Waşfahum ۚInnahu Ĥakīmun `Alīmun
6:139 And they say, What is in the wombs of these cattle is exclusively for our males and forbidden to our spouses. But if it is born dead, then they (i.e., spouses) are partners in it.” He will recompense them for their attribution. Indeed, He is All-Wise, All-Knowing.
139. Wa qaaloo maa fee butooni haazihil an’aami khaalisatul lizukoorinaa wa muharramun ‘alaaa azwaajinaa wa iny yakum maitatan fahum feehi shurakaaa’; sa yajzeehim wasfahum; innahoo Hakeemun ‘Aleem
140. قَدْ خَسِرَ الَّذِينَ قَتَلُوا أَوْلَادَهُمْ سَفَهًا بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَحَرَّمُوا مَا رَزَقَهُمُ اللَّهُ افْتِرَاءً عَلَى اللَّهِ ۚ قَدْ ضَلُّوا وَمَا كَانُوا مُهْتَدِينَ
Qad Khasira Al-Ladhīna Qatalū Awlādahum Safahāan Bighayri `Ilmin Wa Ĥarramū Razaqahumu Allāhu Aftirā’an `Alá Allāhi ۚ Qad Đallū Wa Mā Kānū Muhtadīna
6:140 Lost certainly are those who killed their children in foolishness without knowledge and forbade/ prohibited what Allah has provided them inventing ˹lies˺ against Allah. Certainly, they have gone astray and they are not the guided-ones/ ˹rightly˺ guided.
140. Qad khasiral lazeena qatalooo awlaadahum safaham bighairi ‘ilminw wa harramoo maa razaqahumul laahuf tiraaa’an ‘alal laah; qad dalloo wa maa kaanoo muhtadeen (section 16)
141. وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَنْشَأَ جَنَّاتٍ مَعْرُوشَاتٍ وَغَيْرَ مَعْرُوشَاتٍ وَالنَّخْلَ وَالزَّرْعَ مُخْتَلِفًا أُكُلُهُ وَالزَّيْتُونَ وَالرُّمَّانَ مُتَشَابِهًا وَغَيْرَ مُتَشَابِهٍ ۚ كُلُوا مِنْ ثَمَرِهِ إِذَا أَثْمَرَ وَآتُوا حَقَّهُ يَوْمَ حَصَادِهِ ۖ وَلَا تُسْرِفُوا ۚ إِنَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُسْرِفِينَ
Wa Huwa Al-Ladhī ‘Ansha’a Jannātin Ma`rūshātin Wa Ghayra Ma`rūshātin Wa An-Nakhla Wa Az-Zar`a Mukhtalifāan Ukuluhu Wa Az-Zaytūna Wa Ar-Rummāna Mutashābihāan Wa Ghayra Mutashābihin ۚ Kulū Min Thamarihi~ ‘IdhāAthmara Wa ‘Ātū Ĥaqqahu Yawma Ĥaşādihi ۖ Wa Lā Tusrifū ۚInnahu Yuĥibbu Al-Musrifīna
6:141 And He is the One Who produced gardens trellised (i.e., climbs with support/ raised on structures) and other than/ and without being/ and not trellised and the date-palms/ date-palm trees and the crops, diverse/ different are its taste, and the olives and the pomegranates similar ˹in shape˺ and other than/ and not similar ˹in taste˺. Eat of its fruit when it bears fruit, and give its due/ share on the day of its harvest. And do not be extravagant/ spend wastefully/ waste. Indeed, He does not love the ones who are extravagant/ spend wastefully/ are wasteful.
141. Wa Huwal lazee ansha-a jannaatim ma’rooshaatinw wa ghaira ma’rooshaatinw wan nakhla wazzar’a mukhtalifan ukuluhoo wazzaitoona warrum maana mutashaabihanw wa ghaira mutashaabih; kuloo min samariheee izaaa asmara wa aatoo haqqahoo yawma hasaadihee wa laa tusrifoo; innahoo laa yuhibbul musrifeen
142. وَمِنَ الْأَنْعَامِ حَمُولَةً وَفَرْشًا ۚ كُلُوا مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللَّهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا خُطُوَاتِ الشَّيْطَانِ ۚ إِنَّهُ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُبِينٌ
Wa Mina Al-‘An`āmi Ĥamūlatan Wa Farshāan ۚ Kulū Mimmā Razaqakumu Allāhu Wa Lā Tattabi`ū Khuţuwāti Ash-Shayţāni ۚInnahu Lakum `Adūwun Mubīnun
6:142 And of the cattle are carriers ˹of burden˺ and ˹some are˺ small. Eat of what Allah has provided you, and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he (i.e., satan) is an open enemy to you.
142. Wa minal an’aami hamoolatanw wa farshaa; kuloo mimmaa razaqakumul laahu wa laa tattabi’oo khutuwaatish Shaitaan; innahoo lakum ‘aduwwum mubeen
143. ثَمَانِيَةَ أَزْوَاجٍ ۖ مِنَ الضَّأْنِ اثْنَيْنِ وَمِنَ الْمَعْزِ اثْنَيْنِ ۗ قُلْ آلذَّكَرَيْنِ حَرَّمَ أَمِ الْأُنْثَيَيْنِ أَمَّا اشْتَمَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ أَرْحَامُ الْأُنْثَيَيْنِ ۖ نَبِّئُونِي بِعِلْمٍ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ
Thamāniyata Azwājin ۖ Mina Ađ-Đa’ni Athnayni Wa Mina Al-Ma`zi Athnayni ۗ Qul Āldhdhakarayni Ĥarrama ‘Ami Al-‘UnthayayniAmmā Ashtamalat `Alayhi Arĥāmu Al-‘Unthayayni ۖ Nabbi’ūnī Bi`ilmin ‘In Kuntum Şādiqīna
6:143 Eight pairs two of the sheep, and two of the goats. Say, ˹to them, O Prophet˺, “Is it the two males He has forbidden or the two females or what/ that which the wombs of the two females contain/s in it? Inform me with knowledge, if you are truthful.”
143. Samaaniyata azwaajim minad da’nisnaini wa minal ma’zis nain; qul ‘aaazzaka raini harrama amil unsaiyayni ammash tamalat ‘alaihi arhaamul unsayayni nabbi ‘oonee bi’ilmin in kuntum saadiqeen
144. وَمِنَ الْإِبِلِ اثْنَيْنِ وَمِنَ الْبَقَرِ اثْنَيْنِ ۗ قُلْ آلذَّكَرَيْنِ حَرَّمَ أَمِ الْأُنْثَيَيْنِ أَمَّا اشْتَمَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ أَرْحَامُ الْأُنْثَيَيْنِ ۖ أَمْ كُنْتُمْ شُهَدَاءَ إِذْ وَصَّاكُمُ اللَّهُ بِهَٰذَا ۚ فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَىٰ عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا لِيُضِلَّ النَّاسَ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ
Wa Mina Al-‘Ibili Athnayni Wa Mina Al-Baqari Athnayni ۗ Qul Āldhdhakarayni Ĥarrama Ami Al-‘UnthayayniAmmā Ashtamalat `Alayhi Arĥāmu Al-‘Unthayayni ۖ ‘Am Kuntum Shuhadā’a ‘Idh Waşşākumu Allāhu Bihadhā ۚ Faman Ažlamu Mimmani Aftará `Alá Allāhi Kadhibāan Liyuđilla An-Nāsa Bighayri `Ilmin ۗInna Allāha Yahdī Al-Qawma Až-Žālimīna
6:144 And two of the camels and two of the cows. Say, “Is it the two males He has forbidden or the two females or what/ that which the wombs of the two females contain/s in it? Or were you witnesses when Allah enjoined/ ordered/ commanded you with this? Then who is more unjust than one who invents a lie against Allah to mislead the people/ human kind without knowledge? Indeed, Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.
144. Wa minal ibilis naini wa minal baqaris nain; qul ‘aaazzakaraini harrama amil unsayaini ammash tamalat ‘alaihi arhaamul unsayaini am kuntum shuhadaaa’a iz wassaakumul laahu bihaazaa; faman azlamu mimmanif taraa ‘alal laahi kazibal liyuddillan naasa bighairi ‘ilm; innal laaha laa yahdil qawmaz zaalimeen (section 17)
145. قُلْ لَا أَجِدُ فِي مَا أُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ مُحَرَّمًا عَلَىٰ طَاعِمٍ يَطْعَمُهُ إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ مَيْتَةً أَوْ دَمًا مَسْفُوحًا أَوْ لَحْمَ خِنْزِيرٍ فَإِنَّهُ رِجْسٌ أَوْ فِسْقًا أُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ اللَّهِ بِهِ ۚ فَمَنِ اضْطُرَّ غَيْرَ بَاغٍ وَلَا عَادٍ فَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
Qul Ajidu Ūĥiya ‘Ilayya Muĥarramāan `Alá Ţā`imin Yaţ`amuhu~ ‘Illā ‘An Yakūna Maytatan ‘Aw Damāan Masfūĥāan Aw Laĥma Khinzīrin Fa’innahu Rijsun Aw Fisqāan Uhilla Lighayri Allāhi Bihi ۚ Famani Ađţurra Ghayra Bāghin Wa Lā `Ādin Fa’inna Rabbaka Ghafūrun Raĥīmun
6:145 Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “I do not find in what has been revealed to me anything forbidden to an eater who eats it except that it be a dead ˹animal˺ or blood spilled out or the flesh of swine for indeed, it is filth/ impure or (it be) disobedience, [is] dedicated to other than Allah [on it]. But whoever is compelled/ forced by necessity neither desiring it and nor transgressing it, then indeed, your Lord is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”

145. Qul laaa ajidu fee maaa oohiya ilaiya muharraman ‘alaa taa’iminy yat’amuhooo illaaa ai yakoona maitatan aw damam masfoohan aw lahma khinzeerin fa innahoo rijsun aw fisqan uhilla lighairil laahi bih; famanid turra ghaira baa ghinw wa laa ‘aadin fa inna Rabbaka Ghafoorur Raheem
146. وَعَلَى الَّذِينَ هَادُوا حَرَّمْنَا كُلَّ ذِي ظُفُرٍ ۖ وَمِنَ الْبَقَرِ وَالْغَنَمِ حَرَّمْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ شُحُومَهُمَا إِلَّا مَا حَمَلَتْ ظُهُورُهُمَا أَوِ الْحَوَايَا أَوْ مَا اخْتَلَطَ بِعَظْمٍ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ جَزَيْنَاهُمْ بِبَغْيِهِمْ ۖ وَإِنَّا لَصَادِقُونَ
Wa `Alá Al-Ladhīna Hādū Ĥarramnā Kulla Dhī Žufurin ۖ Wa Mina Al-Baqari Wa Al-Ghanami Ĥarramnā `Alayhim ShuĥūmahumāIllā Ĥamalat Žuhūruhumā ‘Awi Al-ĤawāyāAw Akhtalaţa Bi`ažmin ۚ Dhālika Jazaynāhum Bibaghyihim ۖ Wa ‘Innā Laşādiqūna
6:146 And to those who are Jews We forbade every animal with claws, and of the cows and the sheep We forbade to them their fat except what their backs carried or the intestines, entrails or what is mixed/ sticks/ adheres with the bone. That is their recompense/ reward By that We repaid/ rewarded them for their disobedience. And indeed, We surely are truthful.
146. Wa ‘alal lazeena haadoo harramnaa kulla zee zufurinw wa minal baqari walghanami harramnaa ‘alaihim shuhoo mahumaaa illaa maa hamalat zuhooruhumaaa awil hawaayaaa aw makhtalata bi’azm; zaalika jazainaahum bibaghyihim wa innaa la saadiqoon
147. فَإِنْ كَذَّبُوكَ فَقُلْ رَبُّكُمْ ذُو رَحْمَةٍ وَاسِعَةٍ وَلَا يُرَدُّ بَأْسُهُ عَنِ الْقَوْمِ الْمُجْرِمِينَ
Fa’in Kadhdhabūka Faqul Rabbukum Dhū Raĥmatin Wāsi`atin Wa Lā Yuraddu Ba’suhu `Ani Al-Qawmi Al-Mujrimīna
6:147 But if they deny you ˹O Prophet˺, then say, “Your Lord is the Possessor of Vast Mercy, but His wrath/ punishmentwill not be turned back from the people ˹who are˺ criminals.
147. Fa in kazzabooka faqur Rabbukum zoo rahmatinw waasi’atinw wa laa yuraddu ba’suhoo ‘anil qawmil mujrimeen
148. سَيَقُولُ الَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا لَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ مَا أَشْرَكْنَا وَلَا آبَاؤُنَا وَلَا حَرَّمْنَا مِنْ شَيْءٍ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ كَذَّبَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ حَتَّىٰ ذَاقُوا بَأْسَنَا ۗ قُلْ هَلْ عِنْدَكُمْ مِنْ عِلْمٍ فَتُخْرِجُوهُ لَنَا ۖ إِنْ تَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا الظَّنَّ وَإِنْ أَنْتُمْ إِلَّا تَخْرُصُونَ
Sayaqūlu Al-LadhīnaAshrakū Law Shā’a Allāhu Ashraknā Wa Lā Ābā’uunā Wa Lā Ĥarramnā Min Shay’in ۚ Kadhālika Kadhdhaba Al-Ladhīna Min Qablihim Ĥattá Dhāqū Ba’sanā ۗ Qul Hal `Indakum Min `Ilmin Fatukhrijūhu Lanā ۖIn Tattabi`ūna ‘Illā Až-Žanna Wa ‘In Antum Illā Takhruşūna
6:148 Those who associate partners ˹with Allah˺ will say, “If Allah had willed, we would not have associated partners ˹with Allah˺ and neither would our forefathers and we would not have forbidden of anything.” Likewise, those who from were before them denied until they tasted Our wrath/ Punishment. Say, ˹to them, O Prophet˺, “Do you have of any knowledge, then produce it/ bring it out/ present it for us? You follow nothing except assumption, and you do nothing but/ except guess.”
148. Sayaqoolul lazeena ashrakoo law shaaa’al laahu maaa ashraknaa wa laaa aabaaa’unaa wa laa harramnaa min shai’; kazaalika kazzabal lazeena min qablihim hattaa zaaqoo ba’sanaa; qul hal ‘indakum min ‘ilmin fatukh rijoohu lanaa in tattabi’oona illaz zanna wa in antum illaa takhhrusoon
149. قُلْ فَلِلَّهِ الْحُجَّةُ الْبَالِغَةُ ۖ فَلَوْ شَاءَ لَهَدَاكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
Qul Falillāhi Al-Ĥujjatu Al-Bālighatu ۖ Falaw Shā’a Lahadākum Ajma`īna
6:149 Say, “with Allah is the conclusive/ far-reaching argument. And if He had willed, surely He would have guided you all.
149. Qul falillaahil hujjatul baalighatu falaw shaaa’a lahadaakum ajma’een
150. قُلْ هَلُمَّ شُهَدَاءَكُمُ الَّذِينَ يَشْهَدُونَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ حَرَّمَ هَٰذَا ۖ فَإِنْ شَهِدُوا فَلَا تَشْهَدْ مَعَهُمْ ۚ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاءَ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا وَالَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ وَهُمْ بِرَبِّهِمْ يَعْدِلُونَ
Qul Halumma Shuhadā’akumu Al-Ladhīna Yash/hadūna ‘Anna Allāha Ĥarrama Hādhā ۖ Fa’in Shahidū Falā Tash/had Ma`ahum ۚ Wa Lā Tattabi` ‘Ahwā’a Al-Ladhīna KadhdhabūBi’āyātinā Wa Al-Ladhīna Yu’uminūna Bil-‘Ākhirati Wa Hum Birabbihim Ya`dilūna
6:150 Say, ˹O Prophet˺, “Bring forward your witnesses, those who can testify that Allah prohibited this.” Then if they testify, then do not testify with them. And do not follow the desires of those who denied Our Signs and those who do not believe in the Hereafter, while they set up equals with their Lord.
150. Qul halumma shuhadaaa’akumul lazeena yash hadoona annal laaha harrama haazaa fa in shahidoo falaa tashhad ma’ahum; wa laa tattabi’ ahwaaa’al lazeena kazzaboo bi Aayaatinaa wallazeena laa yu’minoona bil Aakhirati wa hum bi Rabbihim ya’diloon (section 18)
151. قُلْ تَعَالَوْا أَتْلُ مَا حَرَّمَ رَبُّكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ أَلَّا تُشْرِكُوا بِهِ شَيْئًا ۖ وَبِالْوَالِدَيْنِ إِحْسَانًا ۖ وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا أَوْلَادَكُمْ مِنْ إِمْلَاقٍ ۖ نَحْنُ نَرْزُقُكُمْ وَإِيَّاهُمْ ۖ وَلَا تَقْرَبُوا الْفَوَاحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ ۖ وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا النَّفْسَ الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ وَصَّاكُمْ بِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ
Qul Ta`ālaw ‘Atlu Ĥarrama Rabbukum `Alaykum ۖAllā Tushrikū Bihi Shay’āan ۖ Wa Bil-Wālidayni Iĥsānāan ۖ Wa Lā Taqtulū Awlādakum MinImlāqin ۖ Naĥnu Narzuqukum Wa ‘Īyāhum ۖ Wa Lā Taqrabū Al-Fawāĥisha Žahara Minhā Wa Mā Baţana ۖ Wa Lā Taqtulū An-Nafsa Allatī Ĥarrama Allāhu Illā Bil-Ĥaqqi ۚ Dhālikum Waşşākum Bihi La`allakum Ta`qilūna
6:151 Say, ˹O Prophet˺, “Come, I will recite what your Lord has prohibited to you: That do not/ Do not associate anything with Him ˹in worship˺, and be good with the parents, and do not kill your children because of poverty, We provide for you and for them (i.e., your children). And do not go near the immoralities, what is apparent/ clear and what is concealed/ unclear of them. And do not kill the ˹O human˺ soul which Allah has forbidden ˹to be killed˺ except by ˹legal˺ right. That/ This ˹is what He˺ has commanded on you with it/ to do, so that you may understand/ use reason/ think.”
151. Qul ta’aalaw atlu maa harrama Rabbukum ‘alaikum allaa tushrikoo bihee shai’anw wa bilwaalidaini ihsaananw wa laa taqtulooo awlaadakum min imlaaq; nahnu narzuqukum wa iyyaahum wa laa taqrabul fawaahisha maa zahara minhaa wa maa batana wa laa taqtulun nafsal latee harramal laahu illaa bilhaqq; zaalikum wassaakum bihee la’allakum ta’qiloon
152. وَلَا تَقْرَبُوا مَالَ الْيَتِيمِ إِلَّا بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ حَتَّىٰ يَبْلُغَ أَشُدَّهُ ۖ وَأَوْفُوا الْكَيْلَ وَالْمِيزَانَ بِالْقِسْطِ ۖ لَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا ۖ وَإِذَا قُلْتُمْ فَاعْدِلُوا وَلَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْبَىٰ ۖ وَبِعَهْدِ اللَّهِ أَوْفُوا ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ وَصَّاكُمْ بِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ
Wa Lā Taqrabū Māla Al-Yatīmi ‘Illā Bil-Atī Hiya Aĥsanu Ĥattá Yablugha Ashuddahu ۖ Wa ‘Awfū Al-Kayla Wa Al-Mīzāna Bil-Qisţi ۖ Nukallifu Nafsāan ‘Illā Wus`ahā ۖ Wa ‘Idhā Qultum Fā`dilū Wa Law Kāna Dhā Qurbá ۖ Wa Bi`ahdi Allāhi Awfū ۚ Dhālikum Waşşākum Bihi La`allakum Tadhakkarūna
6:152 And do not go near the wealth of the orphans, except with that which/ with which it is best until he reaches his maturity. And give full measure and weight with justice. We do not burden any soul except to/ ˹within˺ its capacity/ it can bear. And when you speak, then be just/ then maintain justice/ then ˹speak˺ justly/ then be fair, even if it is one of/ that/ of/ a near relative. And fulfil the Covenant/ Promise of Allah. That/ This ˹is what He˺ has commanded on you with it/ to do so that you may remember.
152. Wa laa taqraboo maalal yateemi illaa billatee hiyaa ahsanu hattaa yablugha ashuddahoo wa awful kaila walmeezaana bilqisti laa nukallifu nafsan illaa wus’ahaa wa izaa qultum fa’diloo wa law kaana zaa qurbaa wa bi ‘ahdil laahi awfoo; zaalikum wassaakum bihee la’allakum tazakkaroon
153. وَأَنَّ هَٰذَا صِرَاطِي مُسْتَقِيمًا فَاتَّبِعُوهُ ۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا السُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمْ عَنْ سَبِيلِهِ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ وَصَّاكُمْ بِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ
Wa ‘Anna Hādhā Şirāţī Mustaqīmāan Fa Attabi`ūhu ۖ Wa Lā Tattabi`ū As-Subula Fatafarraqa Bikum `An Sabīlihi ۚ Dhālikum Waşşākum Bihi La`allakum Tattaqūna
6:153 And indeed, this is my straight path, so follow it. And do not follow ˹other˺ ways, then they will separate you from His way. That/ This ˹is what He˺ has commanded on you with it/ to do so that you may become righteous.
153. Wa annna haazaa Siraatee mustaqeeman fattabi’oohu wa laa tattabi’us subula fatafarraqa bikum ‘an sabeelih; zaalikum wassaakum bihee la’allakum tattaqoon
154. ثُمَّ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ تَمَامًا عَلَى الَّذِي أَحْسَنَ وَتَفْصِيلًا لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةً لَعَلَّهُمْ بِلِقَاءِ رَبِّهِمْ يُؤْمِنُونَ
Thumma Ātaynā Mūsá Al-Kitāba Tamāmāan `Alá Al-Ladhī ‘Aĥsana Wa Tafşīlāan Likulli Shay’in Wa Hudan Wa Raĥmatan La`allahum Biliqā’i Rabbihim Yu’uminūna
6:154 Moreover, We gave Moses ˹Musa˺ the Book, completing the Favor upon those who do good and as a detailed explanation of every thing, and as a guidance and a mercy, so that they may believe in the meeting with their Lord.
154. Summa aatainaa Moosal Kitaaba tammaaman ‘alal lazeee ahsana wa tafseelal likulli shai’inw wa hudanw wa rahmatal la’allahum biliqaaa’i Rabbihim yu’minoon (section 19)
155. وَهَٰذَا كِتَابٌ أَنْزَلْنَاهُ مُبَارَكٌ فَاتَّبِعُوهُ وَاتَّقُوا لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ
Wa Hadhā Kitābun Anzalnāhu Mubārakun Fa Attabi`ūhu Wa Attaqū La`allakum Turĥamūna
6:155 And this is a Book (i.e., The Quran) We have revealed it/ We have sent it down blessed, so follow it and be mindful ˹of Allah˺ so that you may receive mercy.
155. Wa haazaa Kitaabun anzalnaahu Mubaarakun fattabi’oohu wattaqoo la’al lakum turhamoon
156. أَنْ تَقُولُوا إِنَّمَا أُنْزِلَ الْكِتَابُ عَلَىٰ طَائِفَتَيْنِ مِنْ قَبْلِنَا وَإِنْ كُنَّا عَنْ دِرَاسَتِهِمْ لَغَافِلِينَ
‘An Taqūlū Innamā Unzila Al-Kitābu `Alá Ţā’ifatayni Min Qablinā Wa ‘In Kunnā `An Dirāsatihim Laghāfilīna

6:156 You ˹pagans˺ can not say ˹with any/an excuse˺,The scripture was only revealed to the two groups (i.e., Jews and Christians) from before us, and indeed we ˹pagans˺ were certainly unaware about their (i.e., two groups) teachings.

6:156 Lest you say,Only was revealed the Book on the two groups from before us, and indeed we were about their study certainly unaware.
156. An taqooloo inna maaa unzilal Kitaabu ‘alaa taaa’ifataini min qablinaa wa in kunnaa ‘an diraasatihim laghaafileen
157. أَوْ تَقُولُوا لَوْ أَنَّا أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْنَا الْكِتَابُ لَكُنَّا أَهْدَىٰ مِنْهُمْ ۚ فَقَدْ جَاءَكُمْ بَيِّنَةٌ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةٌ ۚ فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنْ كَذَّبَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَصَدَفَ عَنْهَا ۗ سَنَجْزِي الَّذِينَ يَصْدِفُونَ عَنْ آيَاتِنَا سُوءَ الْعَذَابِ بِمَا كَانُوا يَصْدِفُونَ
Aw Taqūlū LawAnnā Unzila `Alaynā Al-Kitābu Lakunnā Ahdá Minhum ۚ Faqad Jā’akum Bayyinatun Min Rabbikum Wa Hudan Wa Raĥmatun ۚ Faman Ažlamu Mimman Kadhdhaba Bi’āyāti Allāhi Wa Şadafa `Anhā ۗ Sanajzī Al-Ladhīna Yaşdifūna `An ‘Āyātinā Sū’a Al-`Adhābi Bimā Kānū Yaşdifūna
6:157 or you may say,/ or you would say ˹with an excuse˺, If only that the Book was revealed to us surely we would have been better guided than them (i.e., two groups).” So verily ˹now there˺ has come to you clear proofs (i.e., The Quran) from your Lord and a Guidance and a Mercy. Then who is more unjust/ wrong than the one who denies with/in the Verses/ Verses of Allah, and turns away from them? We will recompense/ reward those who turn away from Our Signs with an evil punishment because they used to turn away.
157. Aw taqooloo law annaaa unzila ‘alainal kitaabu lakunnaaa ahdaa minhum; faqad jaaa’akum baiyinatum mir Rabbikum wa hudanw wa rahmah; faman azlamu mimman kazzaba bi Aayaatil laahi wa sadafa ‘anhaa; sanajzil lazeena yasdifoona ‘an Aayaatinaa sooo’al ‘azaabi bimaa kaanoo yasdifoon
158. هَلْ يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَّا أَنْ تَأْتِيَهُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ أَوْ يَأْتِيَ رَبُّكَ أَوْ يَأْتِيَ بَعْضُ آيَاتِ رَبِّكَ ۗ يَوْمَ يَأْتِي بَعْضُ آيَاتِ رَبِّكَ لَا يَنْفَعُ نَفْسًا إِيمَانُهَا لَمْ تَكُنْ آمَنَتْ مِنْ قَبْلُ أَوْ كَسَبَتْ فِي إِيمَانِهَا خَيْرًا ۗ قُلِ انْتَظِرُوا إِنَّا مُنْتَظِرُونَ
Hal Yanžurūna ‘Illā ‘An Ta’tiyahumu Al-Malā’ikatu ‘Aw Ya’tiya Rabbuka ‘Aw Ya’tiya Ba`đu ‘Āyāti Rabbika ۗ Yawma Ya’tī Ba`đu ‘Āyāti Rabbika Yanfa`u Nafsāan ‘Īmānuhā Lam Takun ‘Āmanat Min Qablu ‘Aw Kasabat Īmānihā Khayrāan ۗ Qul Antažirū ‘Innā Muntažirūna
6:158 Are they waiting except that the Angels come to them or your Lord ˹Himself˺ come or some of the Signs of your Lord come? On the Day when some of the Signs of your Lord comes, no soul will benefit from its faith if it had not believed from before or earned any good through its faith. Say,Wait. Indeed, we too are waiting.
158. Hal yanzuroona illaaa an ta’tiyahumul malaaa’ikatu aw ya’tiya Rabbuka aw ya’tiya ba’du Aayaati Rabbik; yawma ya’tee ba’du Aayaati Rabbika laa yanfa’u nafsan eemaanuhaa lam takun aamanat min qablu aw kasabat feee eemaanihaa khairaa; qulin tazirooo innaa muntaziroon
159. إِنَّ الَّذِينَ فَرَّقُوا دِينَهُمْ وَكَانُوا شِيَعًا لَسْتَ مِنْهُمْ فِي شَيْءٍ ۚ إِنَّمَا أَمْرُهُمْ إِلَى اللَّهِ ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوا يَفْعَلُونَ
Inna Al-Ladhīna Farraqū Dīnahum Wa Kānū Shiya`āan Lasta Minhum Shay’in ۚInnamā Amruhum ‘Ilá Allāhi Thumma Yunabbi’uhum Bimā Kānū Yaf`alūna
6:159 Indeed, those who divided their religion and become ˹spilt into˺ sects, you ˹O Prophet˺ are not ˹associated˺ with/among them in anything. Their affair is only with Allah, then He will inform them of what they used to do.
159. Innal lazeena farraqoo deenahum wa kaanoo shiya’allasta minhum fee shaiyy’; innamaaa amruhum ilallaahi summa yunabbi’uhum bimaa kaanoo yaf’aloon
160. مَنْ جَاءَ بِالْحَسَنَةِ فَلَهُ عَشْرُ أَمْثَالِهَا ۖ وَمَنْ جَاءَ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ فَلَا يُجْزَىٰ إِلَّا مِثْلَهَا وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ
Man Jā’a Bil-Ĥasanati Falahu `AshruAmthālihā ۖ Wa Man Jā’a Bis-Sayyi’ati Falā Yujzá ‘Illā Mithlahā Wa Hum Yužlamūna
6:160 Whoever comes ˹on Judgement Day˺ with a good deed, then for him is ten times the like of it ˹to his credit˺. And whoever comes with an evil deed then he will not be recompensed/ compensated except the like of it, and they will not be wronged.
160. Man jaaa’a bilhasanati falahoo ‘ashru amsaalihaa wa man jaaa’a bissaiyi’ati falaa yujzaaa illaa mislahaa wa hum laa yuzlamoon
161. قُلْ إِنَّنِي هَدَانِي رَبِّي إِلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ دِينًا قِيَمًا مِلَّةَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَنِيفًا ۚ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ
Qul Innanī Hadānī Rabbī ‘Ilá Şirāţin Mustaqīmin Dīnāan Qiyamāan Millata Ibrāhīma Ĥanīfāan ۚ Wa Mā Kāna Mina Al-Mushrikīna
6:161 Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Indeed as for me, my Lord has guided me to a straight path a/ an right/ established religion, religion of Abraham ˹Ibrahim˺ a true monotheist. And he was not from the polytheists.
161. Qul innanee hadaanee Rabbeee ilaa Siraatim Mustaqeemin deenan qiyamam Millata Ibraaheema haneefaa; wa maa kaana minal mushrikeen
162. قُلْ إِنَّ صَلَاتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
Qul ‘Inna Şalātī Wa Nusukī Wa Maĥyāya Wa Mamātī Lillāh Rabbi Al-`Ālamīna
6:162 Say,Indeed, my prayer, and my rites/ ritual of sacrifice, and my living, and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds.
162. Qul inna Salaatee wa nusukee wa mahyaaya wa mamaatee lillaahi Rabbil ‘aalameen
163. لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ ۖ وَبِذَٰلِكَ أُمِرْتُ وَأَنَا أَوَّلُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ
Sharīka Lahu ۖ Wa Bidhalika Umirtu Wa ‘Anā ‘Awwalu Al-Muslimīna
6:163 for Him/He has no partners; and with that I have been commanded. And I am the first of the ones who surrender/ submit/ (to Him)/ the Muslims.
163. Laa shareeka lahoo wa bizaalika umirtu wa ana awwalul muslimeen
164. قُلْ أَغَيْرَ اللَّهِ أَبْغِي رَبًّا وَهُوَ رَبُّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ ۚ وَلَا تَكْسِبُ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ إِلَّا عَلَيْهَا ۚ وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَىٰ ۚ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُمْ مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَيُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ
QulAghayra Allāhi ‘Abghī Rabbāan Wa Huwa Rabbu Kulli Shay’in ۚ Wa Lā Taksibu Kullu Nafsin ‘Illā `Alayhā ۚ Wa Lā Taziru Wāziratun Wizra ‘Ukhrá ۚ Thumma ‘Ilá Rabbikum Marji`ukum Fayunabbi’ukum Bimā Kuntum Fīhi Takhtalifūna
6:164 Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Is it other than Allah I should seek as a Lord, while He is the Lord of every thing?” And each soul will not earn except against itself, and no bearer/ carrier of burden will bear/ carry the burden of another. Then to your Lord is your return, then He will inform you about what you were differing concerning it.

And not earns every soul except against itself
164. Qul aghairal laahi abghee Rabbanw wa Huwa Rabbu kulli shaiyy’; wa laa taksibu kullu nafsin illaa ‘alaihaa; wa laa taziru waaziratunw wizra ukhraa; summa ilaa Rabbikum marji’ukum fa yunabbi’ukum bimaa kuntum feehi takhtalifoon
165. وَهُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَكُمْ خَلَائِفَ الْأَرْضِ وَرَفَعَ بَعْضَكُمْ فَوْقَ بَعْضٍ دَرَجَاتٍ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ فِي مَا آتَاكُمْ ۗ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ سَرِيعُ الْعِقَابِ وَإِنَّهُ لَغَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
Wa Huwa Al-Ladhī Ja`alakum Khalā’ifa Al-‘Arđi Wa Rafa`a Ba`đakum Fawqa Ba`đin Darajātin Liyabluwakum Ātākum ۗ ‘Inna Rabbaka Sarī`u Al-`Iqābi Wa ‘Innahu Laghafūrun Raĥīmun
6:165 And He is the One Who has made you successors on the earth and raised some of you above others in ranks, so that He may test you in what He has given you. Indeed, your Lord is swift in the punishment, and indeed, He is certainly All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
165. Wa Huwal lazee ja’alakum khalaaa’ifal ardi wa rafa’a ba’dakum fawqa ba’din darajaatil liyabluwakum fee maaa aataakum; inna Rabbaka saree’ul ‘iqaabi wa innahoo la Ghafoorur Raheem (section 20)
